Politics › Re: Anambra International Cargo/Passenger Airport (AICA) Ready In 18months - Obiano by OreMI22: 10:15pm On Sep 18, 2014
I hope he builds something standard like the Dutse airport in the picture with runway at least up to 4 kilometers.

In the end, it will all be a collossal waste of money which will ruin Obiano and his party. Although he promised to build that airport, the reality of a modern Asaba International airport has since made obsolete the need for Oba airport or any such local airports around Onitsha.

After sinking about N50 -60 billion naira in that project, he will understand the reality of Asaba International airport. Onitsha traders will still prefer to land in Asaba and ride on a smooth expressway to their homes than land somewhere in Anam and drive on winding state roads for hours to get to their home in Onitsha. Besides the distance from Onitsha city, many airlines will still prefer to ply the more modern airport with better amenities. Anambra and Delta will then be locked in a competition to improve their airport, and we know which state has more abundant resources to embark on such wasteful venture. In the end, because of it location and other advantages, airlines will still prefer Asaba International airport to using Anam.

Obiano will better serve his state by investing this N50 -60 billion naira in a state Independent power plant, or complete the state refinery and make it functional or even build a light rail connecting Onitsha to Nnewi or Onitsha to Awka. I don't expect people that cannot reason beyond tomorrow to see what is being said here. So I will say Big congratulations to Obiano and co. Please build the Anam International airport. But, be prepared for the dire political consequences on you and your team after you squander the people's money in a white elephant project that has since ceased to be a priority of the state since air access into Onitsha started more than 3 years ago.

Handsomegod: @SPYDER I must say that am very disappointed in you for allowing the sanctity of this lovely thread to go up in flames because u chose to mudsling with some ignoble elements! What a hell is wrong with us? On what basis is the whole stupid jabs and silly comparisms? Iam from Enugu and 80% of my friends are Anambrarians and each an every one us view this thread from different parts of the world where we are based.U guys have also finally validated the age-long propaganda of the other tribes that unity eludes the Igbos. At last you shameless old men have succeeded in bringing shame to us all! Whatever the bragging is all about?! The president of my town union here in Texas is a fan of this thread and was genuinely displeased since the last two days the madness took over. Who knows who else is taking note?! If we cannot have sanctity in a forum that commands some of the supposedly brightest minds, then we are lost for good.@SPYDER,Unemadu,Chino,Odenigbo et al,enough of this show of shame! You guys should clean up ur acts, offer genuine apologies and either post relevant info or remain silent for good. Happy sunday!
This thread completely represent all that is good and bad of Ndigbo.

They obviously have the brightest minds and have the determination to improve themselves.

At the same time, they cannot manage success. An Igbo is better off poor and a nobody because as soon as they acquire some success, they forget all their humility and good manners. They hound their immediate neighbors and become a nuisance to their community.

Then the ofe-nmanus already waiting in the wings as vultures waiting for the Igbo to make a mistake, so that he can help destroy their success and bury them as ediots.

Spyder, i am so disappointed you joined issues with jobless ediots here.Nobody reads their cut and paste trash anyway, because we know these are useless kids merely playing with their parents laptop. But all your posts are read because they come from a known intelligent adult man.

ckenneths: Abakpa Nike Enugu. When are they going to fix all these back street roads? angry
This is exactly why i say the LGA system should be scrapped. They just collect a whopping 25% of national resources claiming they are using it for "grassroot development", then they simply disappear into thin air to await the next allocation from Abuja.

When FG roads are bad, we know the FG to hold responsible. When State roads are bad, we know the state governments to hold responsible. But when LGA roads are bad, nobody even knows which LGA is responsible talk more of where their HQ is located.

If Ab.okis had not been using the LGA system as another tool to cheat and corner the nation's resources, they would have agreed to have a system where state supervise how the LGA spend these federal money. But, we are trapped in an Animal farm called "Nigeria" with people who would rather condone waste just to make sure the structure of deceit and cheating they foisted on the nation using their military rule is perpetuated at the expense of Nigeria dying from waste and corruption.

Politics › Re: Why We Are Giving More Polling Units To The North- Jega by OreMI22: 4:20am On Sep 11, 2014
Scientific rigging at its best! So north has 70% of the polling units while a state like Imo with 27 Local government ares will have 42. Barely one per local government area. Yet you expect People in their villages to defy the non movement declared on election days and find their way to their LGA head quarters just to vote! So if they don't vote, the riggers will vote for them!

Jega should resign for plotting such evil already!

If this Australian man was truly not appointed by our government and he had the nerve to enter Nigeria and approach a brutal terror organization as Boko Haram, the only other group that would have given him such boldness to do this without fear of being kidnapped is the CIA.

I suspect this man's controversial naming of men like Ihejirika who is on record as the only COAS that dealt the most powerful devastating blow to BH which drove them into sambisa forest, as part of CIA plot to help their prediction of Nigeria's disintegration in 2015 to become a reality.

chy101: What is this one yapping?

[s]Anambra has the best road network traversing all corners of the state and not just the urban centers. Anambra has the best health and educational facilities east of the Niger. I am not here to boast but am responding to your most silly assertions. Anambra has the highest population in the SE that is enough to answer your question on where people wants to live and earn their living. Even some stock in some rural areas of Anambra beats what one can found in some choice areas of Enugu urban talk to talk major urban centers. Anambra by the virtue of Onitsha is the only cosmopolitan state east of Niger[/s]. Okada is fast disappearing in Anambra as Keke is fast taking its place. Anambra is building 3 malls and 2 five star hotels, its a feat that no state around has achieved.

[s][/s]
Again, a typical response........

Shatap dia!.........Anambra is best ...... blah...bla....blah............. grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

Your inherent nature of deceit and empty boasts with nothing to show does not convince even a blind man. By the way, why always comparing yourselves to Enugu? Sullivan did his wonders with only N94 billion naira , but you have almost N150 billion to play with and nothing tangible to show.

Aroli and co, You guys should STOP MAKING NOISE! Simply open your own thread and SHOW US all these Anambra best, best, best blah blah blah... we can only hear about but not see !!!
Politics › Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by OreMI22: 5:56pm On Aug 30, 2014
OdenigboAroli: No,we dont fucking need any Anambra thread of propaganda.
We dont have to be in uniform.
I am sorry to post Anambra issues here. But Anambra has little to boast about. Thus the typical anti-social,clownish response of this onitsha man character that cannot even remember the way to his hometown.
Peter Obi surely did a lot to save the almost completely failed state by rebuilding its basic infrastructure. Perhaps due to how meager the funds were, he was compelled to use local contractors. Which made Anambra roads to be ill designed, narrow, unmarked and of course without street lights. None of which can be compared to the roads we have seen in this thread. I will hail Obi for building a state teaching hospital, improve basic education and build a state secretariat.Compared to the clowns that had ruled that state, Peter is still the very best. Let us pray Obiano will surpass Obi's record.

Anambra is one state that should be a natural leader in the SE, but it's troubled by having the most unruly citizens with the worst anti-social character and the least visionary leaders in the SE.Only Abia has had worse leaders than Anambra. In addition to repairing old roads, Anambra leaders should explore ways to launch new legacy projects such as light rail, Industrial parks containing refineries, petrochemical factories etc, power plants to project that state into the future. The trouble with Anambra is a lack of truly visionary leaders that think big in a realistic way of what can be accomplished based on the resources of the citizens and state government. Most Anambra leaders are content with operating the Onitsha and Nnewi main markets the way they have been since 1970 without adding any form of modernization and systematic expansion. That is what makes Anambra always seem to be moving in a circle when other states are racing for the future.

Bad things from other places often find root easily in Anambra, while good things take decades to accomplish. For example kidnapping started in PH creeks in 1999, but became a staple form of business in Anambra, even when it stopped in PH. Okada as a form of public transportation started in Uyo in 1987, after that village town suddenly became a state capital and there were no cars to use as taxis. Uyo has since upgraded into use of tricycles for public transportation, while Anambra has permanently stuck to the use of motorcycles to transport the public there.
The first shopping mall in SE should naturally have been set up in Anambra, but their leaders will do no such thing to modernize the public's shopping experience. Even now that malls are springing up in obscure towns in Nigeria, the fate of the 3 mini-malls in Anambra is still precarious.

Anambra people should learn to love their state and develop it to the highest world-class standard possible. They should have an "Anambra first" mentality.
The typical Anambra man feels very proud to live in Abuja, Lagos,PH or Enugu where he has mansions built to the highest world standard, but his properties in Anambra towns can best be described as.... That is my observation of that state.
Okpari...

Politics › Re: Kenyans Surprised: Jonathan And Crew Visited Kenya With 7 Private Jet by OreMI22: 6:42pm On Jan 02, 2014
HNosegbe: Even if it was a joke, the fact remains that the Nigerian presidential fleet has too many jets.

Ask yourself why a Kenyan should crack a joke about presidential jets AT NIGERIA'S EXPENSE.

And to add insult to the wound, another jet is to be procured this year to make it ELEVEN jets in all?

undecided
Ode, the jets she was referring to were PRIVATE JETS used by Nigerian businessmen as Dangote, Adenuga,Elumelu etc who went to Kenya with President Jonathan - IN THEIR OWN PRIVATE JETS.

The President was there in the "Nigerian Airforce" B737 200, which by the way was bought by OBJ during his tenure as President.
