spodathug: Please can somebody pls help me make list of largest igbo cities by population and wide land area of development because I am in a deep argument now with someone about owerri and umuahia which is more developed and large. Pls brothers and sisters in this thread help me out with the above list and clarify me on owerri and umuahia,if possible let's debate about both cities. Thank youNo need for your argument. Owerri is bigger and more developed than Umuahia. Having said that, there is no accurate census of Igbo nor Nigerian cities. For example, according to Nigerian census, Onitsha is smaller than Ogbomosho or Osogbo! If you use google earth to compare these cities, you'd laugh at such idiocy! In spite of having mainly high rise multiple storey buildings, You will also visually see Onitsha sprawling with concentration of buildings, while those cities purportedly more populated than Onitsha have nobody living there! Unless they are ghosts and have no houses! ![]() You know that is like saying Afikpo is more populated than Kano which obviously a satellite view of both cities will expose the lie. But in Nigeria, weird things happen and ridiculous figures are considered official. ![]() |
add black paint in it and it will work on blacks. |

9jafella: This is the position of Lagos state after the last general election. Election is here again and posters of political aspirants is on the street again. Who is the Law meant for?If only they can enforce the ban on pasting of posters on government and public property, Lagos will regain its original beauty. |
So Anambra thread is now about getting pictures from facebook and using it to Christian people? I salute una o! Chino, you see how senseless they made you look? You engage them in fruitless arguments in your thread and help them to derail it? Even agama lizard knows better. |
The oyibo eediot is trying so hard to confuse us about BH. Shekau or not, NA shall continue the pressure unless the boys surrender. |
Bishop42: Sir are those places in Enugu? centje: They're pictures of Abuja, except for the one that has red soil which is chime Avenue, Enugu. The first picture is Chime avenue, Enugu the 2nd is Mobolaji Bank-Anthony way, Lagos. The 3rd is Olusegun Obasanjo way abuja and the last is IBB way Abuja. The aim was to show how the empty median of the first picture at Chime avenue,Enugu can be appropriately transformed with trees and flowers as in the median of the later pictures. |
Someone, please do a quality check on the cement in our Nigerian markets. Randomly choose bags and extract a little cement for quality checks. Then re-seal the bags and put a stamp that it has been checked by government so that people can still buy it. How come old buildings never collapse, but all new buildings being built with the type of cement now in our market continue to collapse? |
Handsomegod: Bros u are absolutely correct.I shared similar sentiments in my post slightly above u.As a teenager,I usually spend my holidays in Jos when the city was in d height of its glory and I recall they have an agency called "Jos Metropolitan Development Board"(JMDB) and they had departments in the agency that focus on particular aspects of maintenance. Lagos state govt currently has Agencies for "Gardens and Parks,Signage regulation in the city(LASSA),Lagos public works dept that undertake minor road repairs,an agency that ensure all the street lights and traffic light poles are in good upright position and d lights working,to name but a few.Good enougjh all these agencies are fuctioning very well. Those are the kind of interventions Enugu needs in view of its emerging status.I sincerely wish the next Governor will proceed along these lines.Only then can the massive investment made in the last 15 years be appreciated. We must get serious about the environment. It is not enough to just do the construction part of the road without considering how to beautify the entire environment. Imagine the powerful aura and ambiance which the beautification of Chime avenue median, left bare in the first picture below could have on the entire Enugu. If they just planted flowers and trees in it like in the next pictures below of other cities.
|
spyder880: This is where Ogui road started. ......Although I thank the governor for embarking on Enugu beautification, which for many governors before him, it had never even crossed their mind. A lot more aesthetic work can be done even to our roundabouts. See our roundabout and compare with the two below in other states.
|
Came here to see pics of development! Na wa o! 16 pages of kids play? Mods, please come and ban these boys and clean the thread! |
spyder880: Once again, Ziks avenue. spyder880: What do you like about this road? spyder880: Ziks avenue, I am still working out the rationale for placing refuse dumpsters, they should not block walkways with it. Thank you Sypder for the wonderful shots. Sullivan Chime is really trying to transform Enugu. But why is he not finishing his good works with well manicured medians? The trend now as shown in pics below is to plant trees and flowers in road medians to give the city a great aesthetic and refreshing feel. If Sullivan Chime can afford to pay all these billions in order to build high quality world class roads in Enugu, it is definitely worth a few thousand naira to get a landscaping crew to go round and plant flowers and trees along these roads. All concrete and tar without natural plants to adorn the spaces make the environment look dry and perhaps dirty in some cases.

Please, why hasn't the APC commended our troops yet? When our troops are beaten and they run into Cameroon, APC members are rejoicing! Meanwhile when our troops beat Boko Haram, they are all in a mourning mood. God will give us victory Over the enemies of Nigeria, the armed wing of APC represented by Shekau and the political represented by Hell rufai and Liar Mohammed. Allah is Great!!! |
cjrane: Who will Hell rufai,Kwankwaso, Senator Ndume, Ahmed Zanna, and Liar Muhammed be calling on GSM to be blowing people up and kidnapping innocent school girls when APC lose elections? ![]() |
Most of the APC killers that promised baboons and monkeys will soak in blood hoping to use Shekau if they lost an election have been silent. Eeyaah! Hell rufai has been in shock for weeks pondering more evil thoughts for Nigerians. |
ChimaAdeoye: The coward called Shekau has never worn military uniform for war. It is only for making videos. So glad he didn't disappear as usual. ![]() |
![]() Funny but true dadebayo1: America will know....... |
