MiddleDimension:
thank you so much with this response!

Today, it is becoming even more difficult to be a man because the media and the heavily financed and supported feminist culture of that we now live in has made many people to mistrust men and see every single man as a criminal rapist even before he ever thinks of immorality.

On this forum sometime ago, a person came up with a thread (i really cannot remember what it was all about), but one reply a lady who is very much like bukatyne in attitude said was: you should ask the little girl if her father was touching her. Anyway, she said this even when from the story, it doesn't look like any kind of abuse was possible.

Today, to ruin a man, just tell the world he is abusing a child. Today, being a single father taking care of a daughter is even more difficult because people will automatically suspect you and go behind to ask the daughter if the father touches her. They think this way because they feel men cannot live without sex and a single father taking care of a daughter will definitely be touching her. Our roles in our daughter's lives is even more difficult to play out. We can't get involved in our daughter's lives like we would have loved to and this is all the fault of the shameful feminist culture we now live in.
Excellent point my brother. I run away from people mostly women with that kinda mentality and yes there are lots of them out there.

IamaNigerianGuy:
Now you're talking.

As you point out Nigeria is a special case. I don't care at this moment what the law or practice is elsewhere ; I am concerned about my country. This guy just showed that he has balls. Part of the problem in Nigeria (paradoxically), is that we show too much respect for authority.
If a policeman, soldier or whatever tries to use his authority to compel you by force of arms to obey an unlawful order, it is incumbent on you to resist. These people don't have two heads.

I am old enough to remember june 12 1993 and its aftermath. . The Nigerian government tried to oppress the people one time too many.
IBB was driven from power by irate citizens and Nigerian students who faced off against soldiers and policemen while armed only with sticks, stones and bottles.
Guess what ? WE.WON.

Today, the average Nigerian lives under oppression of soldiers, policemen, APC, OPC, PDP, Naval ratings, SARS, cultists, area boys, boko haram etc. If only they would resist and fight back, Nigeria would change for the better in a hurry.

Remember Shakespeare :

Cowards die many times before their deaths;
The valiant never taste of death but once.
Of all the wonders that I yet have heard,
It seems to me most strange that men should fear;
Seeing that death, a necessary end,
Will come when it will come.

"Julius Caesar", Act 2 scene 2

Peace, brother.
Ok, Now i see where you're coming from. That, i agree with absolutely but it will come as an "arab spring" kinda revolution, and we desperately need that in Nigeria. YES, we, as a united force need to do exactly that, but we are not united. This case is an isolated case and police officers are victims too. In Kogi State recently, a high court judge was kidnapped and his police escort was shot dead on the spot. The state govt paid an undisclosed amount to the kidnappers and he was released. I bet you, maybe they will console the policeman's wife with 1M and that is it. They are victims too. Yep, Shakespeare is right, Fela too sang about it, "so policeman go slap ya face you no go talk"? But again the police are not our problem, you saw the crowd that gathered at IBB daughter's wedding right? also PMB is in London for treatment, all the kids of Govs, Senators, Top govt officials including the President and V.P all are studying abroad, they are "serving Nigeria" but their kids are studying abroad. So who should not target the police, Dogara that padded 2016 budget is still responsible for 2017's budget and the whistle blower Jibrin is still on suspension, the whole national Assembly is corrupt, that is where we should take our fight to. Let me know, if we can start mobilizing small, small and start an arab spring in Nigeria, the only fear is Nigerians are corrupt and lacks sincerity and we are too divided to unite as a formidable force. But hey lets start the discussion for there is so much frustration in the land.

SmartMugu:
Why issue warnings when the governor already ordered for their arrest? The political backing behind the threat is so obvious. Not even a single person behind the threat has been arrested after the governor's fake arrest threat, now the police is coming up with gentle warnings for some 'preferred Northern youths', completely nullifying El Rufai's statement - that everyone already knew was fake.
Northern youths get mere warnings (same gentle treatment for the rampaging Fulani herdsmen), youths from other parts of the country get harsher treatments. Not everyone is stupid, we know what's happening.
Your generation is cursed. You don't trust anyone not even yourselves, some miscreants are trying to misbehave and a well known and honest Gov made statement, now you're accusing him of somehow somehow masterminding it, Police issue warning you're still complaining and pointing to the police. Always and forever complaining and forever pointing finger, and forever distrusting govt.

If the police should shoot now na your corpse dem go carry, how dare you hold a policeman by his shirt and drag him?, I guarantee you the policeman na yoruba, try any northern policeman and na from mortuary or hospital you go continue the story. Maintain your cool and report erring police officers, also, take pics of inappropriate behaviour and report or post on SM. You never accost or put hands on a man in uniform, unless he kills or shoots someone and trying to escape.

Its good you admit it. Now time to address it cos you might drive away the good people just because you distrust them, its not them, its you. An after one former girlfriend of mine blocked me from entering her 4 year old daughter's room because the 4 yr old was naked, can you imagine, 4 years old, naked.... anyways i asked her that soo, i cant shower her daughter, she went crazy for me to even ask that question, oh girl na there we share the garri, i carry my own waka leave her with hers. She and her family beg tire, say she get trust issues and phobia of her daughter being abused. She come go register with therapist to deal with the trust issue. I said God forbid, i neva born, i dey consider am cos of other qualities wey i see and the trust issue scatter everything for me, because she thinks in her head that i or any man around her can potentially hurt or abuse her daughter. anyways, i have daughters of my own now and she'd emailed me in 2015 telling me that her daughter had had 2 false accusations of inappropriate behaviour against her peers at age 9. She said she'd messed up her daughter with her trust issues.

This is what i feel. I think he apologised quickly and left. I think it was an accident and he, like most Nigerians men are uncultured and will just barge into a room without knocking. I also think its your imagination that he just stood there apologising. Your husband was right, get over it and stop blaming the guy relentlessly or trying to teach him a lesson, etc. Also, pls do not start suspecting him or judging his every move. Another thing you can do is, maybe at home with your husband and others in the house, you go and knock on his door, announce your presence and when he says come in, then you can open the door and let him know from the door way what you want to tell him, and turn back, hopefully he gets the message and good example.

You indeed are well grounded and well rooted. Yes they say you preach a better sermon with your life than your lips. You have watched a better sermon at home. That is the way it should be. Now, you will transfer all that goodness and home training to your own kids and on and on and on. Most Nigerian homes used to be like that but its fast changing. If i was single, i for don begin woo, cajole, beg etc to bring wine. My advice, yes pray for a man like your dad but understand that they are haaaard to find cos these days, its $$, miracle, get rich quick, etc that is the driver nowadays. Also, understand that you are GOLD and should not be falling for any yamayama guy without substance, patience or sincerity.

See here what you'll don't understand is most Northerners, like El-Rufai, Buhari, Jega etc are sincere people and will tell it as it is. Its you'll that hide, tell lies and are never straight forward. That is why in GEJ's corrupt govt everyone in the North was sponsoring boko-haram, from IBB, to PMB, to Sanusi, to Atiku, to Govs, emirs etc and $$ was released to fight bokoharam and Oritsejafors plane and pocket as well as CAN's pocket was full of cash.

How I wish they post the pics of the lady cos I know many below 18 ladies that are as loosed as a LovePeddler.
Below 18 cannot give consent because she is a minor and does not know what she is doing. You can call them loose, what they need is guidance, because they are not fully aware of it all and are swayed by the society. That is why chibok girls need therapy and all, as well as some Edo girls that sees nothing wrong in going abroad to hustle (prostitution) its brainwashing and moral decay in the society.

Bros, a 13 year old cannot fully process right and wrong and what is good for her and what is in her best interest. She can easily be manipulated and brainwashed. She might even be happy that she has something that someone wants, she needs protection from the family, society, religious organisations, police etc until she can make her own decisions. In sane countries, if your over 18 and bleep anyone below 18 years old, you will be in jail for 20years, even if she was the one that seduced you and begged you to bleep her because its not mutual consent because she is regarded as a minor and cannot give consent cos she knows not what she is doing.

Its really difficult, your best bet might be educating the man on for example bacteria in the mouths of adults that the adult has immunity against but not children, and so many other health hazards.

unity is not by force ...ur Nigeria sucks..

stop forcing unity on people...
My dear we all are responsible. We are all "failures" collectively. Our leaders are to blame yes, but we too contribute. Trust me sekxy, we are better together. In the 80's Nigerians that go to london and US to study, they beg them to stay and they refused and returned back to naija, that was when Naija was really really good. You will travel from Owerri to Sokoto with no money and strangers will help and assist you along the way, and even accommodate you. One more thing Sekxy, i am muslim and from the North ok, some years back, in a remote city in America, in the summer, you have flea markets where things are displayed on the street, i saw an Ibo man selling different stuff from Africa on the street, soaps, perfumes, clothes etc, i introduced myself as naija the North, he was so overjoyed, he said he wanted to go use the washroom since but couldn't leave, he begged me to stay showed me (a stranger) where he kept his sales money in a register and told me prices of some items and a book of prices and left for food, toileting etc all because i am a Nigerian like him. It was indeed beautiful and showed our togetherness. You need to experience it for you to know we are one and you are not better than a fulani girl neither is Dangote's daughter in anyway better than you, we are one and the same. Lastly, pls listen to Onyeka Onwenu's "One Love" Its from me, a Northerner to you, my dear Sekxy.
