seye4God: Our interview experience!!!

Praise God!!! Rejoice with my family. The LORD has done a wondrous thing once again.

It was on Wednesday, 23rd January 2013. We got to the Embassy some minutes passed 8am.

We waited under the tree rented a seat for my wife at the rate of N150. My younger brother was with us. I was told we would need Four Passports Photograph each. The requirement we met already. At exactly 5minutes to 10am, we were told to come in for our interview. We queued to verify our entry with other diversity visa lottery winners.

After our confirmation, we were ushered to the screening security machine where we put off our shoes, belts, wrist watch, etc.
In fact, we went with many luggages as if we were travelling to America that very day. I noticed we were the only applicant that came with many luggages. My wife named was called for submission of documents and instructed to pay for the VISA Fees at other cubicle. I paid for 5 people - my wife, three daughters and self (almost N280,000 non refundable).

Our documents were sorted and collated. Our submitted forms to Kentucky had been thoroughly and carefully reviewed by officers of the embassy and recommendation had been made. Just to submit your original and photocopied documents for verification and cross examination. Reviewing of one’s submitted form before the interview makes the task easier for the Consular Officer who will then use his/her discretion to check if truly one deserves the visa. Mind you, the internal officers would have suggested to the Consular Officer those errors and mistakes noted in conformable with the DV instruction as stated therein – click to read for your perusal and necessary action. (http://www.travel.state.gov/pdf/DV_2013_instructions_ENGL.pdf).
Most of the applicants do not often read this instruction before applying. Most believe so much on “I heard and they said”. It is better we go through the DV instruction ourselves without falling victims.

At exactly 12noon, my wife number: (B-347) was called. We went to window 16 (a place where most Nigerians pray not to go). I see nothing difficult in that lady. She speaks clear and simple. Successful Applicants do not need to entertain any fear. Keep your receipt very well ooooooooooo. I could not find where I kept the receipt. Meanwhile, it was inside the envelope where I kept the balance of N280,000 (I later saw it when we got home). The lady said we should not bother to search we should just come for the interview. After we promise to say the truth by raising our right hands; she then requested to take our finger prints – both left and right.

Thereafter, our interview went thus:

CO: What was the date of birth of the twins?

My wife: nnnnnnnnnn

CO: Where is your first child?

My wife/I: She was disturbing other applicants where they sat and I went to carry her

CO: Okay. She is the one.

CO: In your original entry you said you have only one child; but after you won you included the twins; that means they were born couple of months before entry for the DIVERSITY VISA.

My wife: YES

CO: According to the policies and law of the DV section so and so….. you application has been disqualified. Madam, I am very sorry. There is nothing I could do at this juncture. I did not make the law. I am very sorry.
My wife: I travelled when my husband played the lottery. The twins where delivered at home….nanana and nanananana

CO: Madam, I said I am sorry. I have many clients to attend to. Please leave now!

My wife/I: FATHER! (Immediately we heard her instruction to leave, we started praying at her presence) We thank you for this successful interview. We just want to thank you despite being denied. You are our GOD and we would continue to serve you more in respective of what must have happened today.

We saw, conquered and overcame the tricks of devil who thought we may be sick or died as a result of this disqualification rather many blessings were later discovered. Our GOD is a strong tower. He is our shield since we put our trust in Him. Proverb 30:5.

LESSON TO LEARN:
• Put your trust in GOD!!!
• Pray and fast
• Be yourself and speak confidently (God made my wife to speak confidently despite being denied)
• Read the instruction thoroughly
• Visit https://www.nairaland.com/927190/dv-2013-winners-meet-here/415 to follow detailed experience from Nigerians
• Be organized
• If you are successful, assist other applicants who know nothing about this
• It is by His grace that you won the VISA Lottery and your interview was successful; so, do not turn from GOD.
• American is a place of comfort i.e. a comfort zone. Do not go there to forget GOD.

OBSERVATIONS:
• Applicants should not be made to pay before interview. It is supposed to be after the interview since the fees is not refundable.
• I am sure many will be granted and still the number of people that would be denied will be more than those that will be granted. Multiply that money of those denied with the charging fees.
• Many families sold there belongings, properties, etc and even borrowed to pay for the visa fees (at least I know a family that did so)
• If you are not successful, please don’t kill yourself. God knows the best. The Christ in us is far better that the crisis of this world.
• Keep serving and worshiping God. My family and I have known God more!!!
• But still we were extremely glad after the rigorous interview. Today, we were denied; only GOD knows tomorrow. Americans may be begging for us to come there. There is nothing our GOD cannot do. I will encourage those that were denied to often share their testimonies and experiences for other Nigerians to be conscious of them.

We have learnt our lessons.
We know GOD more; during this struggle we knew those people that truly love us. We knew people that could only eat with you when the deal is done. We did what we thought we could not be able to do. AMERICA is our dream; ONE-DAY we shall be there by the special grace of GOD.

Best of luck to those applicants going for their interview.
If you are in America; endeavour to help the needy. Share your wealth with people that are less privileges. 1Samuel 2:5-8 (it is not your power that made you rich)
If you are not successful; share your experience with people that have not gone for their interview. Who knows? Your experience may be of help to other applicants.
Finally, even you make all requirements and obey the laws and policies of DV; if God says NO; it will still be NO. I am very sure many will still be denied and many will be surely granted; whichever way, remain with GOD and never stop serving and worshiping Him.

I wish you all the best!!!

I learnt many have pay many thousands to Visa Processing Agents before their interviews. Whereas, the agents have no say of granting one visa. DV is what you can play yourself. I played it freely for my family and few friends. It takes nothing from me.

You bad DV Agent that is exhorting money from Nigerians; you better change your mind before it is too late!!! Repent and turn a new leaf. May God forgive us!!!

If you need any advice or you want to make inquiry feel free to call me. It is purely FREE. Call me any time any day. I will share more of this stories with you. My wife can also pick the call to share same experience with you. Please learn from our testimony!!! May GOD continue to be with us all.

Dear brother, you are so courageous and true man of God. I am sorry for the denial but i am so happy for your strong faith. It is really a great lesson and i have learned my lesson. If it is God's will it will be and if not it won't! Be blessed. wink

bizibrain: Check dis statistic closes, if u watch d just concluded afcon u will notice dat super eagle was in bad form wen dey flog ethiopa 2-0, here we go, burkina-faso defeated ethiopia with 10 men(red card) against ethiopia 11 men in a 4-0 win(group stage), dis same burkina-faso was defeated by super eagle in a 1-0 win in afcon final and 4-1 in a friendly match last week.Nw we all know dat d eagle ar in excellent form, so taking tins serious it is very easy 2 defeat ethiopa. In addition against malawi if nt 4 d intervention of malawians keeper super eagle would defeat dem more dan 2-nil.However super eagle played with d best team in d world(spain) if u watch d match closes u will see dey outplayed spain dey were only unluck because dey do nt av a standard striker like emenike den and d defence was weak due 2 omeruo injury. The possesion was spain 58- nigeria 42 compare 2 uruguay(7th in d world) spain 72- uruguay 28. Uruguay were able 2 score just because swarez was good @ free kick, analyzing football u will c dat super eagle can only loose if dey ar in off-form.

I like your analysis. But i don't agree with you that Super Eagles were in bad form at AFCON while playing Ethiopia, but the Ethiopians were good. but i still don't believe that the Super eagles are in a position to downplay the current form of Waliyas. I know when the expectation from the Eagles is high they mostly disappoints. Cross my heart it will not be an easy match.

Sports / Re: Nigeria To Play Ethiopia In World Cup Play-off by Ormania(m): 9:53am On Sep 17, 2013
Well let me squeeze you in the thoughts of Addis Ababa about the draw with Super Eagles..... People feel that Algeria would have been fair draw for Ethiopia. The reason was as we have balanced results whenever we face them. The favorites next to Algeria was Nigeria. Though Nigeria takes the superiority on a head to head previous matches. After the African cup of nation accidental 2-0 lose to Nigeria people think that Super Eagles are not that much Super. But the main point of loving Nigeria as our last match is the instability of the team. From past experiences we know that Nigerian players go on strike for unsettled payments and benefits. The national moral of the Super Eagles is always questionable as they mostly tend to prioritize their personal gain over national.

Qualifying after 3 points deduction with no defeat, o please Ethiopia is not gonna be a smooth carpet to walk on. wink

Up Waliyas Antelopes!

Take this my ETHIOPIAN Calculator ... wink The Waliya Athelops hit hard, with their big horn, the Eagles nyash only once and it will be 1-0. The Waliyas will be having 4 points. Eithr Chipolobolo beat Burkinabe or Burkinabe beat Chipolopolo and the out come will be 7/5. The sory ends... wink

Am nocking my head awawaw cry, i lived in Nigeria for the last five years and just got back to Addis a month a go. I was hoping to see this day, 9ija vs Et! Damn Dman Damn!!!

Anyway, i know my country will lose this game but i have some hope that 9ija might lose. i watched 9ija vs Tunisia match in Abuja last year when they lost 1 nill, it was disappointing.

Of all 9ija players i fear the goal keeper vincent Enyama, thank god he is not playing today, may be this is a sign that 9ija might lose, hmmm,

I love Nigeria and Ethiopia is my country, so,

Up ET! grin

Religion / Re: How Did You Become An Atheist by Ormania(m): 6:06pm On Nov 19, 2010
no dullin:

I am not an Atheist
but i have questions for fellow Atheist,
what happens when we sleep??
what makes us wake from our sleep??
If we cannot explain logically the reasons behind activities while we are asleep,
then it goes to show that there are mysteries behind the human life,
And Some kind of Being is behind these mysteries,
That Being is beyond mans Imagination,
and Cannot be explained by mans limited reasoning ability,
But fact remains,
there is a Mysterious being,
And that is why Christians cannot explain the theory of God logically,
It has 2 be spiritual/supernatural,
it is beyond the physical/mental/rational,
U will know him in spirit,
Tell God to reveal himself to you all in spirit,
Love y"all!!!!!!!!

Dude, r u saying that we dont know what is goin on while asleep means there is GOD? kiddin me? we dont know what is goin on when we sleep it is just because human understanding is yet not mature enough to know what is really goin asleep. For sure after some years u will see that some one will come up with the clear scientific xplanation, then that means your GOD is finishd!  grin grin grin
Religion / Re: How Did You Become An Atheist by Ormania(m): 5:50pm On Nov 19, 2010
when did you become an atheist?

please share your story of how you became an
atheist ?

Hmm, what do u call someone who is not religious or atheist or agnostic?  undecided am that one i guess.

what prompted you to make that decision

stupidity of religious people and atheists. 95% od religious ppl are ignorant, while 100%-10%+5% of Atheists are aroggants  grin

do you come from a family of atheists - (no insults meant here)

NO! am from a religious one.

which religion do  you particular find repugnant?

Wahala! anything religious is repugnant  undecided

which religion do you find - nearly acceptable if you
wanted to be religious

None i know of.

what are you views on :
death

If you are born, u will die. if u r not yet born then relax you won't die, u r safe  grin

pre/post marital sex

Pre-sex, hmm, if your hormons are high and you get willing opposit/same sex who would want to cool the hormons down, then have it. if u cant get one, then try it alone, dont get it by force.that will make you look like a religious or atheist or agnostic person grin

Stealing

its good if you stay away from it, but if u hv to steal then do it carefully without greed. otherwise it will make you like the others, religious, atheists, agnostics,

lying

Same as the earlier

murder

it is better not to kill anybody. but sometimes our nature is unpredictable, like if a metaly chalenged person come to kill u wt gun or ur landlord wanna kill u coz u didnt pay rent, or if a man rape mother and doughter and give them hiv and chope the head of the housband then kiiil! sad

afterlife

its eithr there is or there isn't. if there is not, then yeye! good for you! but if there is, i dont know, you r introuble  undecided i guess, coz the so called "GOD" will put u off ur cloths and throw u into da fire, then fee calls himself i am GOD and then he will smile for himself, grin grin grin
