Health › Re: Help! Am I HIV Positive? by oshorstan(m): 3:55pm On Sep 20, 2019 |
Starke: I am a young professional sharing a room and parlour self contain with a friend. Now my friend has always been in the habit of bringing all sorts of girls to the house. This is a conduct which I have tried my best to ignore in order to allow peace to reign.
At some point he brought this particular girl and she stayed for sometime with us. From my conversations with her, she has an impressive body count and really dislikes condoms. At some point, she became very sick. Had white patches in her mouth and was very feverish. We had to take her to the hospital so she doesn't die in the house. The Doctor ran several tests on her and her HIV status was positive.
About a week later, I took my laptop to work and when I returned, I dipped my hands in the bag to retrieve my key only to be severely cut by a razor blade my roommate left in the bag. I asked him who owns it and he said he it belongs to the girl and he put it there hoping to dispose of it later. My heart bled. I rushed that night at about 9:45pm to Ikoyi military hospital to get PEP, but the hospital said I have to wait until the next day as the pharmacy had closed. The next morning at about 11:00am, after a lot of delay, I finally got the anti retroviral drugs.
Now after taking the drugs for about 3 days, the side effects were terrible and unbearable. I already had a subsisting kidney problem and the drugs was making it worse so I had to stop. What I want to know is what are my chances if I permanently discontinue the drugs? Am I going to seroconvert? I am scared shitless and if this happens to make me HIV+, I am seriously considering suicide.
Pls help me people.
Pls help me to move this post. I need to get as much input as possible. You're positive |

Christianity Etc › Matrix Of Forgiveness by oshorstan(op): 5:11am On Jun 17, 2019*. Modified: 8:36pm On Sep 29, 2019 |
TREATING OTHERS WELL: FORGIVENESS, A MAJOR FACTOR! While I was growing up as a young chap, God blessed me with wonderful friends I love so much though we later grew apart. I have learnt over the years how much God has loved us and never wanting to send us out of his life... The secret behind God's forebearing with us is that He justifies us in spite our sins. Forgiveness is a major factor we need to work on in dealing with others. The reason we can't forgive others is because we haven't learnt how to receive God's forgiveness. He forgave us so much and if we can relate with others from this angle, we won't find it difficult to forgive others. Our world is filled with divorce, bitterness, anger, hatred and a whole lot because we have not learnt how to treat people right. Stop treating people based on what they do to you, treat them the way God would have treated them because that's a soul Jesus died for. People will definitely make mistakes around you but look beyond their mistakes and see God in every man. Every man worth your forgiveness. Ministry has taught me early enough that people will offend you but you must forgive them before they do.. Everyone in process will always make mistakes. So God has given us leverage on his forgiveness in our mistakes. Then why do we find it so hard to forgive people when God is not tired of forgiven you? Think over it again, you have been forgiven so much and you need to extend it to others. Don't treat others based on their mistakes or past, God doesn't do that.. He saw into the future and forgave us ahead by sending Jesus. Don't be a Christian that only listen but doesn't do. Let go off the hurt, keep calm about the offences. I know you're hurt but it's not a reason to keep the person in the 'hell' of your mind. Forgiveness relives you of pains. If God doesn't grow away from us, then don't send that person away also. Yes, you may keep your distance but don't hold such in your mind... Perhaps you're the one that's bitter about offending someone. Apologize to such and move on whether he or she forgives or not. You have done your path. Don't let his nature of anger change your character. Such individual is not your determinant, Jesus is. Forgive yourself of your wrong past, don't stay in the past even if your people around relate with you from such. They really may be a Christian but may not understand who a new creation is. I am also in process and learning more. Trying to wave the worst offences off my mind even before people commit such and forgiven myself of mistakes made while in process. You can be a happier person by forgiven others and yourself. Why don't you pick up your phone and send I'm sorry to them. Let them know it's over, explain your grievances, don't be overclouded by the action but by God's love, share some love. Don't be a Christian that doesn't do what God does. Somebody needs your forgiveness, don't make it scarce.... THIS SHOULD HELP YOU I THINK BE A BETTER PERSON TODAY
Thanks for this. I have my own Best Friend who's like this. She nor day forgive ka ka.... Even to me she's showing me fire. We have been dating for years and she's prone to this syndrome. I am praying for her though but she's not going to change. |

Well, I chose not to judge Pastor Chris because I respect him so much. I am too small to talk about it. There is something I don't like about women, many of them. They are selfish. A woman wants ALL her husband's time to her self alone, was she not aware he's a pastor b4 she married him? why disturbing him about spending much time together? I advise women to pls face their destiny n let the man face his. Everything is agreement. Many of u wants to plant a CCTV on their husband to know all details about him. just because she's selfish n insecure or probably listening to rumours about him. I know women likes to be touched constantly, but pls give your man his space to do what God said he should do. God bless you |

akinblog: President Buhari has said he cannot remove Mahmood Yakubu as the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), because he would need a resolution by two-thirds majority of the Senate to do so.
There have been speculations that Buhari was set to fire the INEC boss, following the abrupt postponement of the general elections.
However, the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, insisted there was no truth in such claims.
“Those reports are utterly baseless and false. There is nothing like that.
“Whoever is saying the President is removing INEC chairman is just displaying his illiteracy. Let him go and read the constitution.
“You need a resolution by two-thirds majority of the Senate for any such action,” Shehu said according to The Nation.
INEC moved the general elections to Saturday, February 23, about six hours to the start of the polls on the original date of February 16.

The Director-General of President Muhammadu Buhari Election Campaign Council, Rotimi Amaechi, has dismissed an audio recording linking him as saying that President Buhari did not read newspapers or listen to news on the economic situation in the country. He said that he was not aware of the presence of such audio which is now being played on several online platforms. When he was for his comments on the audio that went viral, Amaechi said: “Nothing. I am not aware of any audio recording.” Further told that the audio was gaining momentum on different online websites, the immediate past governor of Rivers State and incumbent Minister of Transport said: “Do I do website?” It would be recalled that an audio detailing Amaechi’s criticism of the Buhari administration went viral some days ago. In the audio, Amaechi was reported to have said: “This country can never change, I swear. The only way this country can change is in a situation where everybody is killed.” In the audio, Amaechi was also reported to have said: “This country is going nowhere. When Magnus (Abe) was secretary to the Rivers State Government (SSG), I told him that this country is hopeless and helpless and he told me, ‘Oga, stop it’. This cannot be coming from a governor. “But two months in Abuja, Magnus came to meet me and said, ‘I agree with you; this country is hopeless and helpless. All they do in Abuja is to share money. “I have already written to the governor of Katsina State and I don’t know why he has not replied to give us the land in Daura for a university in Daura. The next university would be in my village. There is a popular saying while we were growing up, that charity begins at home. Will my own begin abroad? “The president does not listen to anybody. He doesn’t care. You can write what you want to write. Does he read? I was flying with him in the aircraft and we saw a news report where a goat seller was complaining that he couldn’t sell his goats during Sallah because of Buhari’s administration. Politics › Re: New Minimum Wage: Oshiomhole Breaks Silence On Governors’ Refusal To Workers by oshorstan(m): 3:22pm On Nov 18, 2018 |
Transparent: The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has taken a stand in the battle between Nigerian governors and labour unions over the N30,000 minimum wage.
https://i1.wp.com/dkmngr.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/osho.png?w=814&ssl=1
Oshiomhole said the governors have no excuse to deny the workers the agreed minimum wage, adding that a labourer deserves to be paid as at when due.
Oshiomhole, who was the President of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, told New Telegraph that delaying or refusing to pay workers hinders the economic development of any state.
The Nigerian Governors Forum, comprising the 36 states governors and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, had after their meeting in Abuja last week, said they cannot pay the agreed N30000 minimum wage.
Oshiomhole said, “My views are clear that payment of wages is not an act of kindness for an employer to pay the employees’ wages at the end of the month.
“There are provisions in our Labour Act that says that you cannot delay the payment of salaries in excess of 30 days interval, which means salaries ought not to accumulate beyond 30 days.
“Government decides the size of its employment, but when it makes the decision to employ, it has the obligation to pay. Even the Holy Bible says that the labourer is entitled to his wages.
“I think again, this is where President Buhari stands out clearly. He has publicly asked public sector employers; how do you sleep when you have not paid your employees for one year.
“But he did not stop at lamenting, he went on to provide the much talked about bailout fund and said ‘please use this money to pay your workers and pay pension arrears.’
“And even the deductions from states that were done under the PDP in the name of settling our foreign debts, under President Buhari, despite the huge financial challenges that he faces, he decided to assist the states to meet up with their social obligations by paying what is now referred to as Paris Club refund.
“So, I am very proud that the President has conscience, he recognizes that the Nigerian worker deserves his wages and that is why he has publicly lamented that there are governors who have not paid salaries as and when due, whether they are PDP or APC is immaterial.
“And in seeking to deal with this, he has also provided support across party divide and I think that is statesmanship at its best.
“As for my views on the minimum wage, I tried to deal with it as a governor. I told my colleagues then that wage is not a burden.
“In Economics, when people work and get paid, purchasing power is enhanced and because purchasing power is enhanced, producers will respond to that by seeking to produce more goods and services. In the process, they will recruit more hands.
“But when you don’t pay wages, you create a vicious circle, nonpayment of wages leads to low purchasing power, nonpayment of rents, which compounds the problem of those who have invested in real estate thereby depressing the commercial life of the country.
“I tried to settle this question by increasing minimum wage in Edo State to N25,000 from N18,000. I remember some people calling me to ask how I will pay it. I am on record of having paid it and as we speak, my successor in office is paying it. I do not agree with those who say Nigeria cannot afford a more realistic minimum wage.
“My being in government or now chairman of a party cannot change what I believe in. I believe that no nation has enough to meet the greed of leaders, but nations have enough to meet the basic needs of their people.
“The real problem in the public sector is money being stolen in the name of salaries. I found it embarrassing when we talk about ghost workers. And I ask the question who counts ghosts? It is only in Nigeria that ghosts are known.
“The labourer deserves his wage, and the primary purpose of government is the welfare of its people. So, we must pay wages as and when due. “
