FamilyRe: My Fellow Married Women And Mothers, How Do You Deal With A Husband Like Mine? by oshorstan(m): 3:27am On May 12, 2020
Well Madam I must salute your courage for speaking out. I will give the following thoughts

1. pls be in charge of your Home (Settle things on your knees)

2. Reduce your family Cost drastically , there is no money in that house and it is creating tension

3. Pls Understand your husband ego has been bruised. Always avoid anything that will cause fracas between you two. You didn't marry him like this now? abi

4. Do anything to rejig his spiritual life. He got drained because he had become drained after giving out the little fire he had. Start morning devotion, let him know he will be preaching & praying for 15 mins

5. Pls do not allow people to see his flaws

6. Do not lie about your financial situation. Make him know that the family needs to start saving. if na 1000 meat una day buy b4, reduce it to 500 and cut d tin again. If possible, change the kids school to public school n create time to brush them up after work

7. on your own, save 20% of your income.

Conclusion: Your marriage must work!!!!!

Woman Make it work
God bless you ma

SportsRe: Best Eleven Players Mikel Has Played With Over The Course Of His Career? by oshorstan(m): 8:22pm On May 11, 2020
robosky02:
Picking a Dream Team of John Obi Mikel's teammate

NIGERIA
Who are the best players the former Chelsea man has played with over the course of his career?

Petr Cech (Goalkeeper)
It was a tough call leaving out Nigeria's legendary goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, but Cech was never going to miss out here!

Mikel and the former Czech Republic shot-stopper played together between 2006 and 2015, winning multiple Premier League titles, FA Cups, League Cups and the Champions League in 2012.

In addition, the pair also won the Europa League in 2013 which completed their sweep of Europe's primary and secondary club competitions.

Branislav Ivanovic (Right-back)
The powerful Serb was one of the Premier League's top defenders during Mikel's time in West London and was named in the PFA Team of the Year in 2010 and 2015.

'Bane', a Chelsea player from 2007 till January 2017, won several important titles in that time with the Nigeria midfielder.

It was Ivanovic's header that decided the 2013 Europa League final against Benfica, a win that saw the Blues become one of a select few to win the Champions League, Europa League/Uefa Cup and the defunct Cup Winners Cup.

Success also meant they'd won the continent's premier club competition and its secondary version in successive seasons, the second club to do so, and they became the first side to hold both titles too (until Bayern Munich won the CL days later on May 25 2013).

Ashley Cole (Left-back)
England and Chelsea's primary left-back for years, Cole was one of the best in the business for a decade or thereabouts.

The marauding full-back, like Mikel, joined the club after a protracted saga but wasn't deterred by the criticism and continued his success.

The pair won the league in 09/10, both European titles in 2012 and 2013, as well as four FA Cup titles, which outright made Cole the most decorated player in football's oldest cup competition with seven wins.

John Terry (Centre-back)
We were certainly not going to leave out Chelsea's dedicated captain and leader during Mikel's time in West London.

Terry bled blue and gave his all for the club for nearly two decades, winning a plethora of titles along the way to become the club's most decorated captain.

During the Nigerian's time at the club, the Englishman was named in the PFA Team of the Year in 14/15, Fifa FifPro World XI thrice, Uefa XI on three occasions, and was voted the best defender on the continent twice.

Joseph Yobo (Centre-back)
One of the members of Nigeria's 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winning side, Yobo was arguably the Super Eagles' most dependable performer in the 2000s and early 2010s.

The defender captained the West African nation to success in South Africa, ending their 19-year wait for the continent's most glamorous title.

While Yobo's gametime was limited, his all-round influence proved useful to Stephen Keshi's troops.

Claude Makelele (Defensive midfield)
While the attempt to create another Makelele compromised the Nigerian's career, the Frenchman features in this XI owing to his influence in Chelsea's dominance in the mid-2000s.

Having the anchorman role named after him highlighted his unrivalled understanding of the position. Mikel played with the 2002 Champions League-winner for two seasons which produced two domestic cup victories.

The Super Eagle's performance in the 1-0 FA Cup success was noteworthy as it signalled a changing of the guard at the base of the Blues' midfield.

Wilfred Ndidi (Central midfield)
Leicester City's uncompromising midfielder couldn't displace Makelele at the base of the midfield, but features alongside the iconic Frenchman in midfield.

In recent years, the Nigerian has grown from ball winner to all-action midfield man, owing to his growth since moving to England.

Ndidi featured alongside Mikel in the Nigeria side that qualified fairly easily for the 2018 World Cup and Afcon 2019, a welcome development after years of last-minute panic and permutations for fans of the West African nation.

Michael Essien (Central midfield)
Essien's dynamism in Chelsea's midfield in the mid-to-late 2000s was a joy to behold.

The Ghana star was one of the best in his pomp and was arguably the best box-to-box midfielders in world football at the time.

He and Mikel were teammates between 2006 and 2014, a successful period for the London side which peaked with their 2012 Champions League triumph.

Frank Lampard (Attacking midfield)
Chelsea's top scorer revolutionised how goalscoring midfielders were perceived, and his timely runs into the box became his trademark.

Lampard was hugely helped by water carriers like Makelele, Mikel and Essien, who acted as the foil to let him flourish in the final third.

Mikel and the Blues legend played side-by-side in Chelsea's greatest night where they won the Champions League against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

Eden Hazard (Attacking midfield)
Leaving out Juan Mata was a tough call, but there had to be a place for the magnificent Belgian who has been Chelsea's most talented signing since Gianfranco Zola.

In West London, Hazard became one of the best players in Europe, constantly mesmerising the opposition with his skill and matched that with the required end product as well.

The ex-Lille man was named in the PFA Team of the Year in his first campaign and followed that up to be voted PFA Young Player of the Season the next season.

Unsurprisingly, the playmaker was outright best in the league in Chelsea's 14/15 title win, as the Blues won their first title since 2010.

Didier Drogba (Centre-forward)
Sorry Diego Costa, but we were never going to leave out the talismanic Drogba, Chelsea's ultimate big-game player.

In truth, many of the titles Mikel won in West London could be attributed to the Ivorian forward's goals.

Drogba had an uncanny knack for scoring hugely important goals to swing tight matches in his side's favour, with the 2007 FA Cup final strike against Manchester United and 2012 victory over Bayern particularly noteworthy.

ExAngel007:
Deposed Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has welcomed a baby girl with his 4th wife Saadatu.

Sanusi's son, Ashraf who confirmed the birth of his step-sister on Instagram said the deposed Emir's second wife's plea made Sanusi name the baby girl after his first wife, who took care of Saadatu while she was pregnant.

Ashraf gave off the name of the baby girl as Halimatu Saadiyya, and further stated that the spirit of family and peace in their household makes him happy.

He wrote;

"Whenever people asked me about my mothers, I’d say I have 3 (now 4) because all of my father’s wives are my mothers. In that spirit I want to share something that warmed my heart with you. My first mum, Yaya (Giwa) has basically taken care of the 4th especially through this trying period.

My second mum, (Goggo) Mamie, seeing this pleaded with my father to name the new baby after her (Yaya). And masha Allah the new baby is named Halimatu Saadiyya (Rafeeqah). This is the spirit of family and peace that makes me happy.

May that peace continue to reign. Here she is with her elder siblings that In Shaa Allah won’t bully her , MashaAllah. Please say allahumma barik, or MashaAllah Tabarakallah for my little sister"

I do believe in miracles, I have witnessed many and I cannot share. but God loves me so much. For emphasis, I will share 2.

This one happened in my Community, on my bday. I went to see my Spiritual Father (Apostle M. U Egharevba) , gave him wine as usual . On my way, I bought food stuffs which I will cook for my folks at home. So I went to bed cos I was fatigued. while I was sleeping my bro came to call me that there was a dead man outside , that I should come n pray for him. I was wearing shorts n singlet that day n I tot I was not that strong enough to raise d dead. so I came out n saw sympathisers . I shrinked in faith. one man said make una carry go mortuary. I said no, everyone shift back. naso I put am for my lap begin day kabash oo... I noticed I left this dimension to another , I saw him going towards a hole with stretch hands. I rushed to meet him n shouted at him to return back. He said he was tired n wanted to just go. Cut long story short, we came back...... boom the man was hot and he vomited on me. Naso everywhere scatter ooo. That was where I believed in Miracles..... confirm stuff mehnn

second one was in my 200L at Ambrose Alli University. No money for fees, and it was exam period. I had already missed 4 papers , so I was already aware I was in extension. I was down emotionally. So I went for a programme at my fellowship (GLCO ) opp. AAU Cooperative, the pastor said we should come n sow seed. I was angry. Suddenly I heard a voice in my spirit. He said, "go and drop the money" The last money on me was a torn #100 . I refused. The pastor said, someone is here that needs to get his fees paid ASAP. I just knew deep has called into deep. I didn't disobey. I just dropped it. that night, I got a call from my Uncle to send my details for sch fees payment.

My Fiancée Does This. What Does It Mean?

Good day all.

The lockdown has brought my fiancée and I more closer. She spends most of her time now in my place than hers. While staying with me, I one day carried her phone to make call I discovered she doesn't put password on her phone.

Just few days ago while she was sleeping, I used her phone to Google something online and something pushed me to open her Facebook app. When I open, I realized she deletes chats after conversation. I was looking for the messages I do sent her on Facebook and could not find any.

I can't figure out what this means.

Ndeoma:
Their is this lady I have come to develop feelings for. She is a graduate and intending to go for service before November... it's just this pandemic
that is delaying things. She is also a member of my church and serving in one of the service units. I have been observing her for a while and in the course of time grew feelings for her.

I took courage and approached her and she told me she is engaged to be married this December but the problem is that after that our chat she has been tailing me. She always comes around me to sit close to me during service meetings. Some times she'd be starring so much at me that you'd wonder. I'm beginning to think wether she actually told me the truth about her relationship status earlier or she is just trying to hold on to me as alternative just incase here marriage plans with the other guy goes south.

Please friends I need your sincere advice on what to do as am confused. I really love the lady and would like to marry her.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Have You Ever Had A Near Death Experience? by oshorstan(m): 4:02pm On May 09, 2020
Mariangeles:
What has been a near death experience to you?

Mine was when I was a little girl, playing with 2 of my friends of about the same age, we thought it was a good idea to take turns to carry each other on our shoulders.

When it was my turn to climb onto the shoulder of one, I immediately knew it was a bad idea when I got on because, one, I had the fear of heights, and so I couldn't keep still grin

I wanted her to put me down immediately, but we didn't know the easiest way to do that...omg! embarassed
We kept wobbling back and forth because I couldn't keep still out of fear. The other kid was laughing, while I was beside myself with fear embarassed
Lastly, I fell so hard with my stomach slamming on the hard ground with a loud thud ( the most painful experience), I swear, for some seconds I couldn't breathe embarassed

While I was on the ground gasping for air, desperately trying to breathe and fighting to grasp onto life, my two so-called friends were laughing hysterically angry cry
When I was finally able to catch my breath, I cried so loud and hard....I cried ehn cry cry cry then they knew how serious it was.

I swear, I could have died that day and my parents would never have known what killed me.
Of course, they never knew what happened because I never told them. Heck! I never spoke about it ever. I just sucked it up.

As little as I was, I knew I could have died that day because what happened was serious...I just knew sad
The First I had was caused by a heartbreak...
the second was when My department caught fire
third was when I lost something so precious
