you are right in a way but sometimes it is more than that, sometimes it has to do with how exposed and reasonable ones sis is
Most men that are playas get worked up anytime they see another man with their sister especially when the man looks like a playa to them. Women seem to take it better whenever their brother is having a field day with women. What message are they trying to pass? Leave my sister alone? she's still a virgin? I dont care what she does as long as it's behind me. Is it not better to know your sisters boyfriend in and out than to live in a wilderness of denials?

Men like to jump from one booty to another but when another man is about to browse their sister, they get paranoid, why? Does it mean that men judge other men from their own perspective?

How sad

I hope they get to the bottom of the matter . . .and the offenders punished.

As for the title of the thread and its originator, I think he is just towing the line of his junk magazine/ article counterparts who use the name and face of the MOG to sell their write-ups.

Do you know what will happen if we try to link all the attrocities commited by many to their pastors/ General overseers, priests, Imams?

Stories of RCCG, deeper life, Mountain of fire, Chosen pastors abound. . . but these do not minister grace, they are not of good report, they call for watchfulness and prayer, and not for jesting. You sure will make many fans becasue of this thread, but not of true Christians.

We are not motivated by satan and his works but by God's Spirit.

Marriage is hard work. Many do not know that. They only fantasize about the ring. Its harder work than people realize. When i said i feel a hundred years old sometimes i was trying to emphasize on how much energy it takes from one. That does not in anyway translate into a bad marriage. Dont get it twisted.

Is this how quick you usually are to jump to your conclusions? I am not in a bad marriage. Thank you. How you can think that without knowing me is what beats me hollow!
I didn't think that. You said a few yr marriage turned you to a 100 year old mummy and I guessed that those in happy marriages shouldn't be aging fast abi. I derived it from your last statement. Anyway sha, sorry.

Six buildings, 21 vehicles burnt as tanker explodes
Thursday, May 8, 2008

Pandemonium broke out along the busy Ikorodu road expressway, at Jibowu Yaba area of Lagos State on Wednesday when a 15-ton tanker loaded with substances suspected to be chemical hit a BRT pole, somersaulted and went up in flames.

The fire produced by the explosion gutted at least six houses, 21 vehicles and other items whose value was estimated at millions of naira. But no life was lost.

The confusion led to traffic gridlock for over six hours on the major highway and other adjoining roads in the area.

Funke Adedokun, who resides at 4, Ojelade street, said nothing was salvaged from the house, as the inferno consumed three of her husband’s cars, including a Kia Jeep with registration number DD 777 JJJ, Mercedes Benz V-Boot car, AG 585 LSR and a 504 station wagon marked BC 964 AAA.

“When we heard fire! Fire!!, we could not come out. But all of us were able to escape through the fence,” she said almost in tears.

A transport company, Ground Air Travel, lost three vehicles – two Ram buses worth N4 million each and a Mercedes Benz car belonging to the transport manager, Obiora Njaka.

Emmanuel Ajare, a driver, whose new Toyota Hiace mini-bus, marked XA 886 AGD was burnt, narrated that he was sleeping in the vehicle when he heard the explosion.

An eyewitness, Paul Edima, a taxi driver, who gave a graphic account on how the inferno happened, said: “We were loading in the park when suddenly I saw this tanker veering off the road. We stated running for our dear lives. I ran and ran as my legs could carry me. Suddenly I heard a loud bang and smoke engulfed everywhere.”

Edima said that several people were wounded while trying to escape from the wild tongue of the rapacious fire.

The driver of the ill-fated tanker was said to have escaped death by the whiskers from angry mob which wanted to lynch him.

“People chased after him, but he succeeded in escaping from the angry mob,” Edima told Daily Sun.

A police officer, who was at the scene of the incident, confirmed to Daily Sun that the force has declared a manhunt for the fleeing tanker driver, “at least to know what actually happened and to know where he loaded and to ascertain the content he was carrying.”

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Frank Mba, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), said 21 vehicles were burnt while six buildings, all storey building, were also burnt.

Mba explained that one of the buildings was completely razed, while others were damaged. He explained that the incident was being investigated by the police.

He said: “Because of the colossal damage caused by the accident, the police are not going to treat the matter with levity. We will be discrete and meticulous in our investigations.

Mba attributed most of the road accident to fatigue and poor maintenance culture, among others.

He said the government, especially the Lagos State government, had tried to reduce road accidents, citing the setting up the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) as an example.

Prof. Idowu Sobowale, Head of Mass Communication, Olabisi Onabanjo University, who visited one of the affected houses owned by his late uncle, Alhaji Amidu Sobowale, described the incident as most unfortunate.

“All the tenants have been rendered homeless,” he lamented.

Meanwhile, Lagos State Physical Planning and Urban Development Authority has sealed off four of the houses affected by the fire. In a related development, a Honda Saloon car marked BE 660 BDG on Wednesday plunged into Ogun River in Ikorodu, killing the driver, identified as Gilbert Omosobe.

The car was pulled out from the river and the body of the victim deposited at the mortuary.

this lady- you wan marry OBJ or what?

I can still allow for Iyabo because maybe her mom is fine, since we all know OBJ likes fine women. Iyabo could reflect some of her mom's features when she gets a photographer who knows his job.

I was referring to the breaking news going round at the time, that OBJ is secretly half Igbo.

It was in one of the national dailies. Personally I feel he may be related to Uganda.

If you consider OBJ sexy, what will you say when you meet the Abeokuta guys with "killer" looks. The drop dead gorgeous ones. You no go faint so?
You can also say he is half gorilla.

That is the height of wickedness.
why should a girl marry a man who will treat her like a master.
The relationship is doomed from the get go
And if a woman tries that they will brand her Dr mrs Cougar.

believe it or not, children of intertribal unions have a very distinctive look, because they tend to combine the best features of both tribes. [with a few exceptions like OBJ of course].
What's this with ObJ I don't know about? Is he mixed? He may not be handsome but I still think he's sexy.

illegal or not, people would still pay for sex. is circumcision not illegal in nigeriahuh again men shouldn't be forced into bondage.
Banning and enforcing prostitution is not forcing men into bondage, it's actually a way of leading them to the right direction through discipline. You are saying this because you rely on those petty women that will always ask for a pity party and seek male attention by every possible means even if it means sucking their dk. Rest assured that taking advantage of women because they have weak emotions is very unmanly and real men don't do that.

There's the marriage regime and the mistress regime, one has passed the other is available, why complain?
What is good for the geese should also be good for the gander. If she's good enough to be a mistress, that means, expired men should also be good enough as gigolos.
RomanceRe: Over 30 Women, Who's To Blame? by OsunAmazon(op): 4:47pm On May 08, 2008
i agree with no.1 but i disagree with number 2.  withholding sex would just make men runaway and push them towards to prostitutes.   since when did marriage become a lifetime yoke. definitely not in this millennium.   your idea would only lead to bitter marriages and lots of trophy wives. women want sex just as men so withholding it is stupid
What if we ban prostitution in Nigeria(although it's already illegal) and enforce it with a ten year improsonment for defaulters? Will that push men to marry more or become gay?

RomanceRe: Over 30 Women, Who's To Blame? by OsunAmazon(op): 3:34pm On May 08, 2008
It's not a stereotype, its a fact. Women over 30 are somewhere around their expiry date. Some people don't mind almost expired goods but then there are those who have a preference for such goods especially when they come in nice packaging.

On the other hand, you can't blame mothers and sisters for looking at women over 30 with a rather suspicious eye, they know what they were doing before they turned 30, why would anyone want their son or sibling to handle goods that have been "tested" by other men. It's like the difference between getting a brand new car and a used one, the only time you ever prefer a used car over a new one is when it's a classic and trust me, not that many Nigerian women over 30 are classics,
Unbelievable!

RomanceOver 30 Women, Who's To Blame? by OsunAmazon(op): 3:07pm On May 08, 2008
Our Nigerian society looks at women over 30 and are not yet married as getting expired. Although it's a wrong notion about expiry dates and most women in that age range has been fighting that stereotype supposedly from men but do we really need to blame men for that stereotype?

If our mothers, grandmothers and aunts are the ones that always tell our brothers who wants to marry an over 30 woman to look elsewhere for something younger and more 'fruitful', why blame the men for that stereotype?. Most of us women here will even do the same to our siblings who come home with women in that age range but you can hardly hear that our fathers, grandfathers, uncles etc discouraged their sons, nephews and grandsons from marrying a woman of their choice.

After reading the premise to this argument, do you still believe that men should be blamed for stereotyping women over 30 or should we cormfortably blame the stereotype on us and leave men the hell alone?

Owolabi has a related conviction for wire fraud in New York in 2003. He served 27 months in prison before being deported to Nigeria. He didn't stay long. Eighteen months later he arrived in Toronto, claimed refugee status and married a Canadian woman with four children.
The guy is a career criminal and after his first jail term in the US, he went back to Canada to continue in that trade.  I hope the sweep them off from this tristate area.
