7 gbosaaa for u! You tell them, pleeeez! Every time I hear that 16 years I feel the power of their propaganda. Even the people repeating it has ATM and GSM. Was there any ATM in Nigeria in 1999? Was there GSM? Ok, you can use signs of first year to judge how 4 or 8 years next will be. So, someone tell me, what has this govt brought? Even if it is a plan, just a plan, say it. 15months, nothing but blame, blame, blame. Do your own, you are in charge now plaetton: C'mon. Stop deceiving yourself.
The Nigeria of 2015 was 100 times better than the Nigeria of 1999 in every measurable index, in every imaginable way.
To say " 16 years of damage" implies that Nigeria was actually good or better 16 yrs ago before the advent of the PDP regimes.
Is that your assertion Sir? Really ?
Can you honestly stand up and repeat to toddlers that Nigeria was in a golden era before the last 16 years ?
Your irrational and very DISHONEST statements should be a great embarrassment to the genuine people who actually support this government. |

Business › Uber Scam, Beware ;new Format By Drivers by otil1(op): 8:48pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
I don't know if this is the right section.
A friend of mine just relayed his experience with an Uber cab and swore he had been scammed. He's now exchanging multiple emails with their customer service demanding to be reimbursed.
His experience:
After border an Uber from Ikoyi to VI on UberX, upon alighting at his drop off point at VI, he waved bye to the driver and entered a meeting. It's a charge to his card so, no need to settle cash.
An hour into his meeting, he looked at his phone and lo and behold, he was still on the trip, per the Uber app. Reason: the driver has craftily not ended the trip.
He called the driver, and the guy was like, he's having problem with the app, but that he would do it.
My guy waited. 10mins gone, no change, he called the driver again and he told him to please exercise patience. My guy said he became very apprehensive because there was no way of knowing what the billing would be. So he started to fiddle with the app and discovered he could cancel the trip himself.
That's what he did, bit by then, he had incurred 78mins of waiting he didn't order, and his total charge shot up to N1,750 for what should have been under 1k.
Beware people.
Once you step out of Uber, demand to see your bill. If not, cancel at the point and get your correct bill. |

blueto: But it has been about 13+ months since you have been elected president and why should you keep blaming the past govt for your present and foreseen failures?
The past govt was already diversifying the economy when the gullible zombies voted you in and you came and obliteratd the good efforts by the previous govt.
through the comprehensive Agricultural Transformation Agenda program of the previous govt, they recorded many landmark achievements. Through agriculture they created thousands of jobs across the country. The provision of inputs in 10 Northern states enabled dry season farming; and profitably engaged over 250,000 farmers and youths even during the dry season.
Through the comprehensive Agricultural Transformation Agenda program, inflation fell to 7.8% in October 2013, its lowest since 2008, as a result of higher domestic food production.
they launched the Growth Enhancement Scheme to provide targeted support for seeds and fertilizers to 5 million farmersper year or 20 million farmers within fouryears. Through the scheme, they were providing subsidized inputs to farmers via an e-Wallet program. In fiscal year 2013, an estimated 4.2 million farmers received subsidized inputs. As a result, in 2013, they produced 1.1 million metric tonnes of dry season rice across 10 Northern states; and over 250,000 farmers and youths in these states are now profitably engaged in farming even during the dry season.
they launched Staple Crop Processing Zones to support investments in the entire agricultural value chain. there are significant private investment commitments from agribusiness ventures such as: Flour Mills of Nigeria, the Dangote Group, Syngenta, Indorama, AGCO, and Belstar Capital.
In 2012, 2.2 million metric tonnes of cassava chips were exported, exceedingthe Agricultural Transformation Agenda’s target by over 100%, while the 40% substitution of cassava for wheat has been achieved through research and collaboration with the IITA and Federal Institute for Industrial Research.Similarly, there has been a decline in wheat imports to Nigeria from an all-time high of 4,051,000 MT in 2010 to 3,700,000 MT in 2012.
About 200 women in Benue State were trained on how to make compost for farming and 360 farmers in the same state, were trained on climate change adaptability in agriculture. The environment and farming in Benue state got a boost from about 600 men and women in Benue state who participated in training on how to be environmentally better farmers.
they established community woodlots of 10 hectares each in Plateau and Kogi (10ha) states. they restored 10 hectares of degraded forest in Achareni Forest Reserves in Kogi state and rehabilitated 10 hectares degraded forest reserves in Niger state. the administration also launched Presidential Initiative on Coastal and River Bank protection on flood in Asa River (Kwara State). they established two skill acquisition centresto train people on the fabrication of solar -powered grinding machines in Kaiama and Baruten in Kwara State. and so on!
What policies has Buhari projected to diversify the economy?. Sir, while congratulating you on such astute presentation of facts, it needs to be state that such 'little' progress has now been put on reverse by herdsmen he has literally empowered to kill and maim farmers. We forget too soon. That's the problem. We also forget that diversification is a journey and the past administration has started, as you rightly pointed out. What is needed is to sustain and speed it up instead of blame game propaganda. Because, as a poster before me said, 14± after being elected, to what degree is Nigeria economy more diversified since it is left in ur hands. Rather he has seen it to recession. |

Thank God. And kudos to our gallant soldiers on the theatre of war. APC cum GMB, this is structured attack, isn't it? May God bless Nigeria Gossiplover: Yesterday (Friday), in the early hours, some elements of Boko Haram terrorists in 5 gun trucks, motorcycles and 2 Golf cars laden with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) from Sambisa forest axis attempted an attack on 121 Task Force Battalion at Pulka.
The ever alert and vigilant troops rose to the occasion and successfully repelled the attack and killed 7 Boko Haram terrorists, wounded several others and recovered 4 AK-47 rifles, 3 AK-47 rifle magazine and 92 rounds of 7.62mm (NATO) belt ammunition. We wish to state that our troops are hale and hearty
In a related development, troops of 3 Battalion caught a suspected Boko Haram terrorists’ spy near the Battalion Headquarters at Gamboru Ngala. On interrogation, he confessed that he was sent to spy on the troops from Wulge. Consequent upon this the troops organized a fighting patrol comprising elements of Army Headquarters Strike Group and Civilian JTF to Wulge and Walamari.
The troops had encounter with Boko Haram terrorists in which they killed 27 of them, recovered 5 motorcycles and 8 bicycles. They also cleared 12 terrorists’ camps and recovered 1 AK-47 rifles as well as 1 Dane gun.The troops also rescued 455 persons and escorted them to Gamboru Internally Displaced Persons’ (IDPs) camp.
Unfortunately, we lost one of the Civilian JTF. Nevertheless, the troops’ morale remains very high.Similarly, troops of 103 Battalion this evening ambushed Boko Haram terrorists at Mairimri village crossing point in which they killed quite a number of terrorists, recovered 15 bicycles and foodstuffs. Further confirmatory reconnaissance would be conducted to further exploit the situation.

Politics › Re: Buhari’s Irritable ‘16 Years Of Waste’ Mantra by otil1: 2:31pm On Apr 13, 2016 |
When they say 16 years of waste, I believe they pray that ALL Nigerians become 16years old and unable to remember life prior to 1999.
Can APC prove to Nigerians that pre-1999 Nigeria is better than Nigeria at May 29th, 2015? Never!
Given, there have been lost opportunities that should have been tapped. No doubt about that.
But the key issue now is that given the rate of performance of APC-led administration, now is the time to talk about waste.
Or is it not clear to all and sundry that Nigeria has lost the first critical 1year of a new administration?
-Roads paved -zero -Rails added -zero -New Power generating capacity -zero -Running existing power installation -negative -Jobs -negative (job losses) -Naira exchange rate - lowest ever -Inflation rate - highest ever
Meanwhile, the 16 years they like to refer to are the 16 years that ushered in:
-GSM, an empowerment too in the hand of every Nigerian -ATM, Nigerians now part of global financial system with Visa and Mastercard usable globally (until Buhari came to power) -Bank consolidation (bye bye to failed bank syndrom) -Bank recapitalisation, making our financial institutions acceptable all over the globe -Credible elections (now a worsening indices) -Self sufficiency in Cement -Self sufficiency in Rice -self sufficiency in Cassava -Self sufficiency in Poultry; all thanks to food security programmes -IPP that grew our power generating capcity to over 10,000MW. 1st ever. -Paved road -35,000km by GEJ alone -Min wage from below N4,000 to N18,000 -new rail projects -new airport terminals -New international airports (Enugu, Akwa Ibom) -Numerous new domestic airports (Asaba,Ilorin, etc.) -more -and more
A beg, Nigeria moved forward last 16 years. |

Amaechi deserves no kudos. Not at all. He's the Minister of Transport for crying out loud. He has slept on his right when he missed putting in the project before the budget proposal of the executive. I believe he still reasons as if he's a governor, a CEO, albeit, of a State, who can order the State house about. Now he should get used to being a mere expendable boi boi. DONSMITH123: I am no fan of Rotimi Amaechi but he deserves credit and not knocks. Those calling for his resignation over this issue should hide their faces in shame.
