These men of goat with their drunk visions can tire somebody. It reminds me of my pastor friend who told me out of the blue to pray for my father, saying he dreamed that the man died. I asked if he ever saw my father in real life before and he said no. I further questioned how he knew it was the man. He flimsily told me he had a strong premonition which drew my energy his way. I told him to tell his god or whichever demon to Bleep himself — that was it. Almost ten years since then and my father is still living healthy despite his many bad habits. Religious scammers can never catch me mugu in this life. Me and my parents have lived long enough. If we go then we lived well. Why should I fear any death other than a painful one?

Before we run around with this funny tale that Prophet T B Joshua was a good man because we watch his philanthropic jabs on television, and harass those who refused to accept him as a good man, there are at least two questions we must ask:
1, How did TB Joshua make the money he is using for the said philanthropy? Yes, were and how did he get the money?

You see, as much as we hate to discuss this part, it is tellingly crucial and morally unavoidable. We cannot cheer him up for allegedly helping the so called poor masses without asking how he got the money.

2, in making both the money and fame for on which the 'philanthropy' is built, are there victims? Was anyone climbed upon? Was anyone hurt? Was anyone fooled into parting with their money of which they wouldn't have parted with if they were not fooled? Was there ever a lie told to people to get the funds for the philanthropy?
In the build up to his game both as a preacher and magician, was any life lost to his ego? That is, are there people who refused medical treatment because Mr Joshua told them he could heal them, got money from them only for them to die hoping for his healing??

I so much agree with Chinua Achebe who in Anthills of The Savannah insisted that charity is the opium of the privileged and that while we drop our loose coins from safe heights to some Lazarus in the street, we must never forget that real charity lies in working towards a society were such charity itself will no longer be necessary.

My problem is my lack of emotions and sentiments these days. If I had not known the source of Mr Joshua's wealth, I would have been among those running around with the good man tale.

It is barely three years since Mr Joshua's greed, ego and disregard for law, order and honesty cost the lives of over a hundred miracle seeking people. Up till now, Mr Joshua refused to take responsibility and apologize. He kept shifting blames in protection of his dishonest miracle racket and ego.

My heartfelt condolences to the family members, loved ones and devotees of the bereaved. The truth is that we pay more attention to religion more than the numerous pressing debilitating problems eating up the country.

None of the developed countries of the world that we so admire gives religion so much attention. Religion didn't bring USA or any of the European countries to where they are neither did it bring China to their current towering height.

In this country we have all manner of religious organisations from dreaded traditionalists to violent extremists to "powerful" men of God that can "hear directly" from God. Some can even "open and close" the gates of heaven and all that yet this country remains the poverty capital of the world. Most people who make it out here become 75 to 90 percent less religious.

Religious Prayers and activities that go on in this country in a month is much more than the prayers that go on in all the nations of the world combined.

Anointing can never replace skill acquisition, entrepreneurship rational reasoning.

How can a country thrive when:
Federal Government Jobs are seen as breakthrough.

Federal Government Contracts are breakthrough?

Appointive and elective Positions, public offices are dumbfounding breakthrough.

Religious leaders prayer for their members to be given government appointments so that they can be sponsoring religious projects, building constructions, pilgrims, paying tithes and sowing seeds from public funds.

No religious leader boldly rises up in words and action against bad governance and nepotism rather than fearful lip service.

Religious leaders take sides in politics.

I could go on and on but in all we need to wake up and learn from the countries we admire.

I'm kinda confused at the moment and I would really love some advice from you guys... I'm currently in my finals in a federal uni and I was shortlisted for this second screening, the issue now is that I have to collect my original ssce which is about 5k or even more than, collect fslc testimonial from a primary school which is about 3k, go for a medical fitness test with its own charge, transport myself to and fro rivers state, even lodging and feeding expenses. That's amounting to more than 20k.
I don't know if there's a need to spend this much amount of money on a job that I'm not even 100% sure of, seeing that I'm already having expenses for my final year project and many other things.
I would really love to hear what you guys think

My communication wasn't borne out of a mindset. In fact, if we are to talk about mindset, I had a liberal mindset before the experiences of those involved helped me to have a better understanding.

Concerning politicians regularly getting involved in inter-tribal marriage, the subject matter here is having a sustainable happy marriage for decades. Not just being married and posting fake smiles on Instagram and other social media for whatever purpose.

Truth is, a submissive wife can actually solve the puzzle/challenges of inter-tribal marriage and that is why such marriage wasn't an issue in the days of our parents, grandparents and so on, when wives were naturally submissive to their husbands.

But a large proportion of today's wives, particularly those influenced by Western Culture relate submission to slavery or village (illiterate) attitude, and they perpetually dissociate from it, thereby causing lots of fight, resentment and bitterness at home; which sometimes even lead to the crashing (divorce) of the marriage. As we all know, the average Nigerian Man will always stand his ground as the head of his home, where there can never be two heads (masters).

So, I suggest you peep into the future of the marriage you want before selecting (approving) the lady you believe would fit in, rather than carelessly settling down with a lady that would disorganize your life and lineage.

Finally, never use all you see or read about politicians to make important life decisions such as marriage. I've worked closely with a couple of them and I know what I'm saying.

Final answer intertribal marriages is not advisable. You said something about marrying someone much younger what age gap is ideally considered younger

Happily, most of the time? Yes, especially in this era where "One Nigeria" is merely a fugazi. The so-called love would be short-lived when the marriage actually commences and the marriage would naturally inherit some of the insecurities and anxieties (problems) in Nigeria from neighbours, relations, friends, colleagues or others. It is just a matter of time except both of them resides outside Nigeria.

Lots would also threaten the peace and tranquility of the marriage. Worst, if the wife is not submissive, the cultural difference between them would really spark a lot of trouble in the home and would cause them to distance from one another while perennially craving for the company of their tribesmen. In short, it would drain a lot of energy, happiness, joy, concentration and even finances. Even the kids might be not spared as they would battle with identity crisis (from a cultural point of view) vis-à-vis required norms and values as they grow up.

If you are in one, I suggest you let everything end in dating, just for the purpose of being more experienced on relationship issues. Same goes for interfaith marriage. You would mostly-likely regret using marriage to try to covert or make someone a devotee of your faith/religion. The regret/frustration would be similar to using marriage to secure financial freedom as a man.
