Hmmm. A guy who fears God. A guy who knows that faith is an action. |
Lynbrook: During my years of schooling in Nigeria and ghana, i have noticed dat it is easier to get admission into Ghanaian universities compare to those in Nigeria. I have been schooling in ghana for more than 3years and i want to use this as an avenue to help those that have suffered the issue of our almighty JAMB....@ Lynbrook, See thief. What do you need an unused WAEC scratch card for. Ole, Barawo, onyi oshi, Ino. No go find work to do. Your father raised you to become a common thief. So sad. |
Pleas tell that to Afenifere. NewNigeriaMind: I told Obanikoro being made the Minister of state was to hand him the Nigeria military to rig elections in the south west. |
He technically did not resign..... Okay The Governor was impeached.....Okay An acting Governor was sworn in....Okay Was he on leave, in a coma or probably in custody of his girlfriend when all this was going on? Were there no courts from which he could have sort to restrain the Chief Judge from swearing in the speaker? Why has it become convenient for him to run to court that he was said to have resign in error? 90 days are ticking away. |
Mumu husband.

You missed out one important one o. Offshore husband - one leg at home and the other elsewhere. Could be very caring but has other commitments outside. |
franchizy: In as much as I do not support the killing, I have said it over and over that the declaration of state of emergency or military option is not the panacea to solving the Boko Haram menace.60% of Boko Haram Members are christians from the south ........? Where did you get your stats from? If you are so bereft of ideas please you do not have to so verbosely show it. How can you expect a nation to negotiate with these people. What exactly is their demand? Answer - to turn Nigeria into an Islamic state. To abolish western education. So lets assume we want to negotiate that....... what do we bring to the table? Power sharing? Islamization of a section of the country? Cash benefits to members? Almejiri system of education for our young ones? What? What? What? Please do not just make comments, think, think, think. |

"A mere domestic appendage". Is this how our Nobel laureate sees married women or women in general? It appears to me his much learning has made him mad or the man is terribly biased against the first family. But why? |
Many young men and women in Nigeria have suffered from the wild infraction of cult group on campuses of tertiary institutions all across the country and now must gladly suffer Ameachi and his brothers in Rivers state. Watch the videos, the assembly men were shouting cult slangs while they assaulted their victim. How much worse can it get? |
Why does everyone forget that where there is smoke, there most certainly will be fire. River state is a colony of secret cult and what we see is simply a cult supremacy tussle gone political. It all started long before we all even noticed the crises. The Governor attended to the crises in a cult Capone style and the Master/father of cultism in Nigeria promptly addresses a press conference of to state his position in the matter. Soyinka needs to define to us what/ who a statesman should be. The man who was almost murders in cold blood is not an issue to him, the Don styled governor who supervised the mob action is the hero, his victim is the villain. How more absurd can our sense of justice be. Taking a swipe on the first family appears to be a convenient pass time of every Nigerian. The drama is still playing out! We are watching! |
Abeg make we hear another thing. When the whole nation went on subsidy protest, what did pengasseng do? I'll tell you. they treatened to join the strike and pull out their staff! Ahhhh una don forget? |
CHocolaTE,"Why on earth do you people think Nigerian women are desperate to get married to you? See eh, the reason why majority of women seek marriage is because of societal pressure from people that cannot mind their business and because they want to have kids that will not be called bastards so you better understand that fact." This line appear to be written by an embittered and misguided female. Your reasons adduced for marriage is in the first place very disheartening. The real question you should be asking yourself is "why on earth must I be married?" The last I remember, no one has been charge for refusing to get married nor has has anyone been compelled to produce a husband before been delivered of her baby. You want to eat your cake and have it back. Girl, that is almost impossible. Marriage is of mutual consent and functions best when there is mutual sacrifice. When you critically look at marriage, you will see the many sacrifices everyone has to make. It is a risk taken in the belief of a better tomorrow. It is a leap into uncharted territory irrespective of how many times you've been married or how many relationships you've had or how much "experience" you may also have acquired. My advice for you girl is to order your priorities, then go ahead and live your life. You one have one life. Please minimize the mistake you make in it. Time could be an enemy. killuminati: 1 likeWhoever you are, I beg you by/in your mother's name to be quiet if you can not be reasonable. The recent blast in a bus station is targeted at no tribe in particular? That is the most insincere thing I've heard in recent times. Even the Emir of Kano commented that the blast may be designed to incite a civil war, thus alluding to its sectional nature. I am not an Igbo man but greatly sympathize with them for the slow, careful but certain ethnic cleansing taking place in this nation. This is no time to blame GEJ for anything. We have a well orchestrated gorilla warfare taking place amongst us. the sooner you realize this, the safer you will be. |
I wonder what the point of argument and cursing is on the above subject. The questions we should be asking are, 1. Does Maiduguri deserve a presidential visit? My answer: YES 2. Is it late for the president? Answer: Better late than never 3. Is it right for the President to visit Maiduguri? Answer: YES 4. Since APC has preempted the President, Should he refuse to go to Maiduguri? Answer: An absolute NO because of the first question above. So guys, get yourselves a better vocation and stop ranting here. |
Elebiju: I can see u are suffering from dyslexia,am I d one living I̶̲̥̅̊n d past or d poster I quoted?idiota! Rabid benin dogI can see you are in the mood to abuse. I was only agreeing with you that, to always leave a subject matter and digress to another issue as I see is the case with the continuous reference to the civil war, only amounts to living in the past. I'm sorry if my English was too hard for you to understand. In any case the abuses are needless. |
Elebiju: no!no!no! He killed 3million souls that ojukwu offered to Ogun for sacrifice, pathetic tribe always derailing at d slightest opportunity with 15likes from foolsFools live in the past while the future beacons. |
OYINBOGOJU: How do I categorize those thieves?Very interesting. I think everyone in this forum who has ever given a bride or cheated in an exam or twist the law in his favour is as corrupt as any president that has ever been. My point is, we can not seat in our comfort zones and label people corrupt when we do everything to encourage their acts. BE THE CHANGE!! ![]() |
Firstly, cohabiting couples without the formalities of marriage are commonplace in our society today and because this is so, it is imperative upon us to see this discuss as an important one. Marriage in Nigeria has laws governing it (be it, Religious - Christian or Muslim, or customary). These law are designed for the good of the individuals involved and also for the society.Operating a relationship (cohabitation)outside these laws will therefore be to the detriment of the individuals involved. Despite the reality of our situations ( be it economic, social or emotional) it is my candid advice that no guy or particularly lady should allow themselves to be in this kind of an arrangement and if they already find themselves in it, should do everything possible to either regularize the relationship or quit it. |
The truth of the matter is that in this country no one wants to play fair and since there is no law in place to checkmate these things, such people like Glo can get away with these crimes , But on the flip side people should stop spending money in trying to win one lottery or the other because these lotteries are one of the tricks of the super rich to milk the poor. If you dont believe me, do the maths! |
try69: MARRY A FRIEND IS THE SIMPLE ANSWER TO ALL THE MANY TALK..Same reason I encourage dating over a period{maybe a long period}.You could marry a friend and still have a clumsy marriage. There is a clear difference b/w dating and marriage. One has a responsibility level varying from zero to 80% while marriage on the other hand has a 100% responsibility level. If you are getting less in marriage then you can not be happy and smiling. |
It is interesting to see a thread which started six years ago still fanning such interest. This goes to show the importance of the issue in question to everyone. Alluding that dating couples are most times happier than married once is not completely true to me. After all as the saying goes,"as you make your bed so you will lie on it." You will all agree with me that there are clumsy dates as there are clumsy marriages. I'm a guy so I speak as a guy. You can only be happy in your marriage if you can gain the respect of your spouse. Love is good but as the marriage progresses, it is mutual respect that sustain it. So these tips for the guys, (1) Never allow yourself to be seen as an idler or lazy person and (2) Show respect to your spouse - stop flirting, looking at or complementing other ladies in the presence of your wives or even dates. Remember respect is reciprocal. |
Mine is Psalms 1 Psalm 1 1 Happy are those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or take the path that sinners tread, or sit in the seat of scoffers; 2 but their delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law they meditate day and night. 3 They are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves do not wither. In all that they do, they prosper. 4 The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; 6 for the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. |
A reliable source in Aso Rock told us that the decision to take the First Lady to Germany for better treatment was borne out of the fact that her medical aides in Nigeria complained that they could not get accurate diagnosis as a result of insufficient medical facilities in the country. Her medical team is simply incompetent. I had a similar incident when I was 12. I had collapsed and was taken to Air force clinic in Kaduna. The doctor there diagnosed Appendix and referred my case to Armed forces reference hospital, Kaduna where I was admitted and pumped with antibiotic for no explicable reason. It took a visiting foreign military doctor to inform them that my case was critical and that they may loose if an urgent surgery was not done before they made bold to refer my case to ABU teaching hospital where the surgery was finally carried out. Doctors kill several patients out of shear incompetence. |

In my area in Calabar, I can attest to a great improvement in ppower supply with an average of 20-24 hours of supply each day. this is steady improvement. However, I think distribution staff of PHCN need a lot of training as their conducts will be highly detrimental to any change in generation and transmission. |
This lawyer guy should wake up from his slumber. How can he talk about disintegration simply because a flag is introduced in Bayelsa state. Cross River, my own state had its own flag and anthem as far back as 2002 and several other have since introduced theirs also. We all are Nigerians no doubt but, our right to associate is enshrined in the constitution let alone associating as state citizens created by the same constitution. |
I have read most of the comments here and disappointingly many of us have remained the unconcerned people we've always been, watching while bad history is made repeated right before us. Let me share a poem by By Pastor Niemoller. First they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist. Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me. This isn't Nollywood. You may never have a chance for a Part2 |
Let them tell us their real agenda |
onila: this thread is meant for parents or Nigerians who think all girls schools are the bestWhat you become in school or after school is a result of consistent choices one makes and this in turn is a function of ones set of principles and believes. All girls school or co-ed school alike, children should be thought principles that can guide them through life. Lest I forget, children learn more from the actions or inactions of the adults around them. |
Funny, really really funny.Jakumo: The battle-ready troops currently guarding nationwide premises of the defunct Nigerian power company, PCHN, should also be tasked with arresting as many former employees of that dead agency, which never provided ANY electrical power to Nigeria for at least the past quarter century, and making those captives perform vigorous parade-ground physical exercises in exchange for freedom and a state pardon. ![]() Jakumo: The battle-ready troops currently guarding nationwide premises of the defunct Nigerian power company, PCHN, should also be tasked with arresting as many former employees of that dead agency, which never provided ANY electrical power to Nigeria for at least the past quarter century, and making those captives perform vigorous parade-ground physical exercises in exchange for freedom and a state pardon. |
