It's responding to treatment but sth keeps setting the trigger off
She's reacting to sth. Find out what it is (soap, water, lotion, food) then treat.

I've really thought of these but I didn't introduce anything new. Though I discontinued soya beans from her menu yesterday. I doubt that's the cause because she's been on it since 6 months.

Thanks for your input ma.

Good afternoon mummies.
Please ye'all should spare me few minutes and examine the attached pictures.

It started on her chest over two weeks ago. I did some home remedies. It will dry up over night while new ones will come up. I administered antibiotics and it cleared it off after five days. Only for it to spring up on her neck after two days. We're back with home remedies again.

There was improvement when we woke up this morning but as seen in the first picture, new ones are coming up again now.

Please how do I tackle it? If we're to visit the hospital which test should I request to be conducted.

Please look past the grammatical blunders and help me out. Thank you.

Pic 1 was taken few minutes ago.
Pic 2 was taken on 17th April.

Good afternoon and happy new week mothers.

I was told the immunization for 12 months is MMR and Chicken Pox. The hospital we've been using does not give. So we went to a private hospital to get the vaccines. After which we were booked for same immunization next month.

Please mothers is the vaccines suppose to be taken twice? I await your responds please.

Thats how my MIL said I should not be throwing my boy's bathing water with force, that he will have those big teeth that lips can't cover. I just yinmu. Different tales she came with then, but when she discovered that I don't fall for them, she stopped them.

So, I believe baby will walk at the appropriate time.

As an ftm mum i am so over worried about this rashes on my DD's neck trying to get to her face and back descending small small to bum since a week now. It comes out as single rashes bumpy ie risen without water or pus inside but b4 u know it they start to cluster to form patches with undefined borders then give it a day or two they flatten and looking shiny-dusty. Be fore now no single trace of rashes. Plz any clue to what i can do to eliminate the rashes would be welcome , btw she is 10 weeks today.

Get TINU (herbal powder) from yoruba women that sells native soap. It's sold for 50 naira in my location. Mix her cream with it. Alternatively, if you don't want to mix her cream with it, buy a cup of veggas for 100 naira and mix the powder with it. Use same as her body cream. You'll be glad you did.

It works like magic for body/diaper rashes.

Cc mamas whos los have rashes.

Hey Mamas.
So Akorede officially begun her 6m meal like last week and this week, we introduced Tom Brown to her.
A mama here makes it and Akorede thoroughly enjoyed her meal.
The whole family also enjoyed the other variants of it. Muna and Moyo asked for more although they didn't seem to like the fish and crayfish combo and I'm guessing it's because of their advanced taste buds but the baby loved it!
The price is very friendly and it has a shelf life of about 6m.
400g is 400N and it comes in 3 variants.
Tom Brown original with ground nut and soya beans.
Tom Brown Special with fish and crayfish
Tom Brown Plain (only grains)

You can order from me as I am her Lagos stockist.

PS : the whole family couldn't even finish one 400g pack so it's very cost friendly too.

Whatsapp 08024740159 to order for your little one.

Remember free delivery for Surulere orders
Pickup available for Lekki orders
Nationwide delivery

How much is delivery to Benin?
Is it prepared like pap?

Seriously, I don't know. There was no sign of it before.

No, we didn't; that's because she responded well to the drugs administered. She plays and sucks well.

Good afternoon mamas.

Just want to share my first panicking experience as a mother cry

We went for our 10weeks immunization on Wednesday and I gave her pcm thereafter. She was playing and active as usual only for her to cough out from sleep before midnight.

I carried her up; the cough was so intense as if she had it before , she was choking. it looked as if something was blocking her throat and was trying to throw up but she couldn't. She wasn't breathing freely because her nose appeared blocked. She was bringing out thick and drawing saliva. sad after robbing her chest and back, the cough stopped and she slept and I lay her down.

After few minutes, it started again and I used warm water to press her head, nose and ribs. Use Shea butter to rob her nose and body; mixed Shea butter with silver bird and apply on her forehead. She appeared fine and and slept.

For the third time after some minutes the cough started again shocked. This time around her head was no longer stable, she was closing her eyes and the thick/drawing saliva keeps pouring. I was gonna pass out seeing my dd like that. cry Time check was pass 12 a.m. and I told Dh that we should take her to the hospital.

She slept off/soundly through the drive to the hospital. There was no pediatrician on duty so we were seen by a general practitioner. We explained how it started and he assured us there was no problem. He prescribed Erdoncef and Obifen.

Though the cough and catarrh is not completely cleared, we're making progress.

Mums of older kids HELP me embarassed

What do i do with a 3 year old that says "ew" to every food? Any food I put in her front, she goes "eeewww, I can't eat this, it smells like....." Then she will look for something to qualify it. She can say it smells like a car, slippers, chair... Anything that comes to her mouth. This morning she said my food smells like the television. Biko warisdis?

I've used all the methods I know, I've used caning sef, scoping, treats, reward method... I'm tayad!

I then ask her "so what would you like to eat" and she goes "nothing" with an attitude. Nothing bawo? Or sometimes she says garri. She drank garri 3 times yesterday. Is garri now the way? Garri is not ew? Issokay

Right now I'm staring at her. She has had half an orange all morning. She complained the orange smelt like 'onions' before she took it.

Pls just teach me. Help me. She wasn't like this before BTW.
Any suggestions is welcome.

cheesy cheesy she's a hand full. Sounds cute.
Out of all the methods you've used, I think the reward method will be beneficial if you apply it well. Just use what she likes as a bet..

My kid sister and her 3years5months son visited me yesterday; dude did not join the mom to eat even when it was obvious he was hungry. He was busy running upandan. I had to agree to his earlier request to breastfeed my dd. He's chubby and got big breast. But on pressing the breast, no milk sad. I told him the only way milk can come out is when he settled down and eat his food.

You need to see the speed and seriousness little man ate. cheesy cheesy

Good day mamas and Happy Sunday.

Please my baby will be 4weeks on Tuesday, I do see dry blood on her navel or her diaper will be stained a bit with blood like twice in a day.

Note her cord fell of on day 8 and have been noticing the above since then. Please has any mama experienced this?

4 weeks is enough for the navel to be completely heal.

Please, press with hot water after each bath and apply mentholated balm thereafter.

BIRTH STORY

It all started on 24th of September at about 11:00pm. i was preparing for my next paper because i was writing exams which ended on 25th September before i started having regular contractions. The contraction was strong and i was feeling mild pain at my lower back. i was confusing it for braxton hick contractions but when the pain was continuous, it dawned on me that i was in labour and my next paper was 8:00 am the next morning so i didn't bother going to the hospital in other not to miss my exams and since the pain was mild, i was able to read that night.

While in the exam hall the next day, i was timing the contractions; i took permission to use the rest room and when i checked my pant, i saw show. I had to leave the exam hall ten minutes to the end of the paper because i usually exhaust the time assigned for a paper. Before i left the department for the hospital, i went to the HOD's office to explain to him that i was in labour because there was another paper by 2:00pm but he was not in his office, i went to the office of the lecturer in charge of the next exam, he was also not on seat so i had to explain to a coursemate to convey my message to the course rep who was still in the exam hall

When i got to the hospital, i explained to the nurses that i was in labour and they sent for my file immediately. All the while, i was really calm; you would hardly know i was in labour. While they were calling the labour ward to inform them that a patient was coming, i ruptured my membrane and i was wheeled immediately to the labour ward. I was checked at the labour ward and to my greatest surprise i was already 10cm dilated. I shouted when the doctor said i was fully dilated.
Full dilation without pain! just discomfort

I was taken to the delivery room immediately and was told to push at the next contraction. I pushed twice and my princess said hello to the world at 11:57am; while her head was out, they noticed cord was on her neck, they adjusted it and brought her out but she did not cry maybe due to the cord on her neck and after series of things done by the matron, she cried. she weighed 3.4kg and i didn't have tear.

I thank God for a supernatural delivery because it was indeed a supernatural delivery. My pregnancy was a walk in the park and labour was painless.

After the whole delivery process was over, i called my course rep and some course mates to inform them that i had put to bed and that i can write the next paper if they can plead on my behalf that the question be brought to the hospital. My HOD agreed and said my husband should come to school to pick the person that will supervise me. That was how i wrote my last paper in the labour ward.

Note: I took a very big risk because i didn't want to miss any exams in other not to spend more than 18 months assigned for the programme at the detriment of my health. If i had spent the remaining ten minutes in the exam hall, i would gave birth on the way and only God knows what would have happen to me and my baby. Because i was not feeling so much pain, i thought i was just 2cm dilated not knowing labour was really progressing.
I left school (University of Ibadan) at 11:23am and gave birth at 11:57am at UCH. A very big risk i took. I just thank God UI is closer to UCH

My advise is that once you know labour has established, head to the hospital immediately. Because you are not feeling so much pain doesn't mean dilation is not taking place. You just might be having a painless labour.

Once again, i thank God for a safe delivery and i pray all GTC mum experience this wonderful feeling. Baby dust to you all

cc joomie

1. Inside, though not too deep. Just before the entrance.
2. No blending. Soak raw groundnut overnight or for longer. Its the water you drink.
3. Basically gotten from Hausa traders that sell spices (ginger et al), Islamic drugs, etc.
4. No, you don't mix everything together. They are all different, natural vag.ina tightening methods.

Thanks and God bless ma.

-inserting a whole vit E capsule overnight at the vee opening.
-drinking overnight raw groundnut water.
-washing with fenugreek powder, bagaruwa powder, overnight cloves-soaked water, lalle+honey, alum water (not advisable), etc.

Good morning mama. Sorry to bother your mention.

Please do you mind breaking the procedure you outlined down to a jjc level.

1. Is the insert at the surface or inside?

2. Raw groundnut water in which essence? You blend uncooked groundnut or soak it?

3. Can fenugreek and pagaruwa powder be gotten from the open market?

Is everything you listed in number 3 to be mixed together or one can be used in place of all?

I anticipate your quick response, please. Thank you very much.

Please, dearie, it's very very possible. My mom and two elder sisters don't have their periods or take in while breastfeeeding and so use breastfeeding as an effective family planning technique, my mom was so sure it will be same for me and I was gullible enough to believe it without reinforcing with any other family planning alternative. I took in again when my daughter was 7 months and I never for one day had my period while exclusively breastfeeding o... here I am on nairaland preggies thread as team December and I was here last year as team August with a 15 months old daughter. After TTCing for a while before I had my daughter, I can say I'm not too depressed about it, but my dear, it is not an easy something at all o! Don't believe all those old mamas tales to avoid stories that tickle the bom-bom... You can ovulate and get pregnant without a menstrual period.

So relax ma and count yourself lucky if you don't have ms.

Even though I was exclusively breastfeeding, my period came back six weeks after baby. Then it disappeared and returned at six months and became regular. My neighbor didn't get hers back until she stopped breastfeeding at 15 months. So breastfeeding isn't a reliable way of family planning. It works for some and it doesn't for others.

Wow, what an eye opener.

Women's body differs. I breast fed my dd for 2 years without having periods, once I weaned her period came and I took in immediately. But I still don't consider it as family planning cos kpregede! anything can happen as you can ovulate before period sets in...so its better to be fully covered.
