obitobe:Someone that can afford 2,700w panels shouldn't have any problem buying the right size of charge controller except the system is a gift |
NewDea4:You're right. I will take back my words and edit the post |
Valto:I know say he dey whyne me. I asked if he has StarPlus battery but he said no. And my budget could only carry either of the two. So I opted for Interlight
|
zeestone99:But Interlight brand is indian nah. Seller gave me 30 months warranty |
.. |
Puvo:220ah battery is very heavy. The person that helped me to buy it complained die say he can't even lift it one centimeter. I suggest you search jiji if you can buy the battery in uyo or pH cos if you want to waybill from Lagos, the driver/transport company fit call outrageous prices for you. You can order inverter from Lagos Sha |
Battlefield2:Okay. Thank God you survived. Me, immediately start feeling bloated tummy alone, na combo of Goko & Yoyo bitters straight |
Battlefield2 Why you no simply dey drink lemon juice over time to dissolve them abi you didn't search solution for it online?
|
GuestJoe:Valto is right. The quote is over- inflated. The installer want to build house on your pocket. I bought interlight 220ah tubular battery for 137k last month (I was given discount as I also bought smarten 2.5kva inverter there). Even on this thread, they are advertised max 155k .... I'm seeing 180k for Tubular battery on your list.. Except the extra 30k is for transport per battery if you're not in Lagos ![]() |
BALLOSKI:You don't see anything wrong with the environment? Red soil in that place is normal? Haven't you been to filling stations with neatly swept/vacuumed floors abi their management get 3 heads? This is what I mean by we see "rough environment as normal" in Nigeria. |
HeavenlyBang:The car no fit the environment.... Abi na the environment no fit the car. Na Dubai, Singapore, J'Bourg e go fit. Fine car fine environment But wetin man go do? E be like rough environment is "NORMAL" in Nigeria |
Pls continue with the narrative. Thanks ![]() |
bassdow:Thanks so much. I'm definitely getting another 220ah tubular battery. About UPS, I tried it before but the wire got so hot in some instances (even though it was Okada battery o.. I can imagine how hot it'll be with tubular battery). The heat issues and having to be using big wires was why I opted for 24v inverter. The way this country dey go, prices just dey scatter... It's upsetting. Tubular battery I buy 135k last month fit don enter 150k now ![]() |
AntiChristian:You're funny. You think LGBTQ wave is just ordinary human truancy? Why did the force behind LGBTQ choose to aggressively attack Christian values if Christianity is of no use? If the force behind LGBTQ decides to make use of Islam to project their agenda, you think they can't do it? Boko Haram, aren't they moslems? So don't say the forces cannot make use of any religion because the religion is too principled or too pure or they're using one religion or are because they're too lax or too indisciplined There will always be deviants everywhere in any society. |
Truth be told, the amount of federal roads in the country is too much for only the federal government to maintain. Everywhere is federal road. Federal government can't be everywhere. They should just accept defeat and hand over some of the roads back to the state governments |
sintolord:Waybill is cheap? Once the park people or driver sight your load, they'll start calling outrageous amounts. Sometimes it's even cheaper to buy seat than waybill |
Good pm chairmen. A question has been bothering me. Which is actually better between UPS (e.g bluegate UPS) and a hybrid inverter? Typical UPS consists of: Automatic voltage regulator, battery charger and inverter, Hybrid inverter consist of: Battery charger, inverter, Mppt charge controller, But most people that use hybrid inverter with Mppt also are advised to use external Mppt which is additional cost again. So... Say... If I buy a 3kva Bluegate UPS, open it and connect it to a tubular battery, would it be as efficient as an hybrid inverter viz idle power consumption? I fear the UPS internal transformer would be quite big and consume more power from the battery than an hybrid inverter. As I dey read everywhere day inverter dey misbehave, I never see where UPS dey misbehave o ![]() In short, I will like to know the disadvantages of using UPS in place of inverter |
Buchika:You will need one good battery. I hope my crude set up answers your question ![]() Don't mind the naked wire. I just put am to demonstrate to you It's an 80w panel
|
yemi2plus:It won't obstruct anything. Is street light pole obstructing road? Plant the pole by your window or door step or back yard. So far the sun shine along the place 9am-5pm, no problem You will pass the wires from the solar panels into your house same way split AC unit pipe dey enter house |
yemi2plus:Does the tenancy agreement also forbid something like this? If not, just get a higher pole to keep the panels out of little children's reach. I have seen pole holding 3 panels up to roof line. So I don't think the tenancy agreement is a problem

potland:Enter field and play yourself nau ![]() |
samnaija:Thanks for the correction. Appreciate |
Iinnov8:Thanks so much. God bless. |
earthrealm:I'm being misunderstood. I'm building the system slowly from ground up. Total set up at the end of the day is 3,000w panels, 2.5kva inverter, 4 (220v) batteries, Mppt charge controller At the moment, only one tubular battery and inverter have been purchased. None of the appliances intended to be used have been purchased too. So for start, the system will just be used for charging phones, 4 rechargeable fans, and light in night time. It is much later I hope to buy DC/inverter compliant freezer first , then 1hp inverter AC. But if the system will not be able to very the AC, will just stick with the fans. So for start, two tubular batteries for one DC 200L freezer, 4 rechargeable fans, lighting and phone charging during day time 8.30-5pm or so daily, I don't think it's too much. My friend currently uses 2.5kva inverter and two 220ah tubular batteries to power his double for inverter fridge, tv and fans. So I'm not asking for too much |
isangjohnson:Faints. ![]() Where I wan see 3m? 3,000w panel 4 units of 220ah tubular batteries 2.5kva inverter That's all I'm buying o. It'll be gradually Sha. Any gadget the set up no go fit Carry well, na to park am for one corner ![]() |
isangjohnson:What if it is inverter AC or those mini mobile AC, please? (Pix attached) Is it okay to use? If all goes well, within 2 months, I can get another tubular battery
|
dollarnaira:1 hp AC, 250-500L Freezer, Bed side fridge, 4 fans, TV, Decoder, Lights... That's all 8am - 8pm daily But due to situation on ground, no AC and Deep freezer usage until I get another 220ah battery |
dollarnaira:I knew, but forgot at the point of purchase. Load should be about 2,000w. That's why I opted for 2.5kva inverter. dollarnaira:Chai ... Lol... I go run ooo ![]() Drgreatone Maybe I'll buy a small 1,000w souer inverter and be using it with the tubular battery pending when fund is available for another tubular battery |
Good pm house I bought a 2.5kva smarten inverter and 220ah Interlight Tubular battery and shipped it across to my state. I thought that was the end but it won't on o. Den say I have to buy another battery to add it to make it 24v before it will start and account don red like this. What is the temporary solution pls? Can I pair the 220ah tubular battery with 50/100ah dry cell battery for mean time? |
001Lagos:No be small wahala |
