The Dunamis International Gospel Centre, on Wednesday, gave out Christmas packages to hundreds of people.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that thousands of people, including the physically-challenged, besieged the Glory Dome located along the Airport Road, Abuja.

The outreach was powered and personally supervised by Dr. Paul and his wife, Dr. Mrs. Becky Enenche, with the help of the Welfare Department.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that the ministration is done annually by the ministry as a way of empowering and reaching out to people and communities during Christmas.

Speaking during the programme attended by thousands of people from various denominations and across religious lines, Dr. Paul described the gesture as a way of reaching out to people and as well reminds them about the love of Christ.

Among items distributed during the ministration were: thousands of bags of rice, tubers of yam, tomato paste, noodles, and several food items.

In a post shortly after the outreach on his Facebook page, Dr. Enenche described the crowd as unprecedented.

He wrote, Hello Beloved,

Just to update you that we had a most amazing time this morning as we flagged off this year's Christmas Welfare Distribution at the Glory Dome.

The crowd was unprecedented.

People from all tribes and religions flooded the premises from as early as 6am.

The ministrations of food items and clothing continued till after 2pm.

Thousands were blessed and we were sure there was supernatural angelic ministrations that accompanied ours with seeming Miracles of multiplication.

The joy on the people's faces is an encouragement to us.

The Widow's ministration also took place alongside at the youth chapel. What a joy.

My prayer is that God will empower you to bless others however few or however many soon in Jesus Name.

Report reaching IDOMA VOICE from Benue State has it that Chairman of Benue State Civil Service Commission, Professor Jerry Agada is dead.
The sad incident occurred in Makurdi at the early hours of today, Tuesday, 22nd December, 2020.

Agada, who hailed from Orokam, Ogbadibo LGA was former Minister of Education and President Association of Nigerian Authors.

It was indeed a busy week for Dr. Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre and his wife, Dr. Becky, who toured rural areas in Benue State on apostolic invasion and sanctuary dedications.

Dr. Paul, alongside his wife, Becky and daughter, Debby, and other minister were in interior parts of Benue State for what they tagged as “rugged rural evangelism” and dedication of newly constructed Dunamis sanctuaries.

IDOMA VOICE observed that the tour kicked off on Tuesday, December 15 in his country home, Adupi, Orokam in Ogbadibo LGA of the state.

The 2-day event started Tuesday night with the new auditorium filled to capacity. Many natives of Orokam turned out to welcome their son whom God has raised to become a global voice.


Dr. Enenche during his sermon on Divine Visitation said it can only be God who could raise someone from a hamlet called Orokam to be a global voice in God’s vineyard.

During the meeting, there were drastic testimonies of healings, salvation and deliverance of people from diverse sickness and afflictions.

The day two was the proper dedication of the sanctuary, which also witnessed drastic miracles.

From Orokam, Dr. Paul and his entourage moved to Owukpa, which is his maternal home.

The crusade was indeed a homecoming for the son of Mama Titi Eneche (Nee Ekoja).


People from nooks and cranny of the community stormed Ukwo to welcome the Apostle of the Most High who came to tell them about the love of Jesus.

His visit was a sigh of relief for the people of Owukpa, who had been battling a strange illness that has killed over 80 people in recent times, IDOMA VOICE reports.

However, the man of God said the angel of death has been sent packing from Owukpa and it was corroborated by a sister from Ekere, who saw God’s servant in the dream of the night going from house to house dismantling the pestilence.

From Owukpa, the team moved to Ugbokolo in Okpokwu LGA for a similar assignment.


The cleric was in the city on divine visitation and sanctuary dedication along the Old Otukpo Rd, Ugbokolo.

It was indeed another moment of signs and wonders.

Ugbokpo in Apa LGA was the next point of call. The cleric and his team were in the area to dedicate the new-built auditorium.

The weeklong-event was wrapped up in with an outdoor crusade in Otukpo.

The St. Francis Primary school venue of the crusade was filled to capacity with thousands of other hanging on trees, walls, roads just to hear the good news about the God of divine visitation.


According to Dr. Enenche, “We are eternally grateful to God, not just for these additional churches planted but the transformation to the localities, the developments and above all the souls saved for Jesus.”

“We are willing to go out to reach out to ALL men. It could be in Lagos, London or the inner village of Orokam, Owukpa. Just to share the good news. It's amazing,” his wife, Dr. Becky said while reacting to their rugged rural evangelism in Idoma land at the tail end of the year.

Dr. Paul Enenche, during the week commissioned some projects funded by some members of the church in Benue State, IDOMA VOICE reports.

The projects included a full-fledged police station at Adupi in Orokam and a hospital, Ojilima hospital located at Aochochodo, Ugbokolo in Okpokwu LGA.

Speaking while dedicating the projects, Dr. Enenche said one of the duties of Christianity is to shine the light for the world to see.

Popular Benue lawyer and human rights activist, Moses Udam has been killed.

IDOMA VOICE gathered that Udam, who is a Managing Partner at Orkar, Udam and Associates (Attorneys and Legal Consultants), was killed alongside his wife, Nkechi, at Agboughul area of Makurdi on his birthday by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

It was gathered that the attackers stormed their residence in the middle of the night while they were fast asleep and slaughtered them.

IDOMA VOICE recalls that Udam had in 2015 contested for Makurdi Local Government Chairmanship seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Also, in 2015, Udam aspired to represent the people of Guma/Makurdi at the Federal house of Representatives but lost out.

Commercial activities have been paralyzed by tricycle operators, otherwise known as Keke riders in Kurudu area of Abuja over the increment in pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, otherwise known as petrol.

The protesters, armed with various placards along the Nyanya Karshi road, are calling on the federal government to reduce the pump price of fuel from 168.

Consequently, they have increased the prices of transport fares in the area.

Some of the placards being displayed by the demonstrators read, “Naynya to Jikwoyi 100, Nyanya to Kurudu N150, Nyanya to Orozo N200, Nyanya to Karshi N300 No more N20 0r N30.

They have also placed a fine of 5k for any operator that carries passengers below the agreed price.

The development left passengers from Karshi, Orozo, Kurudu, Kpyegi going to Nyanya stranded.

Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District (Zone C) Senator (Comrade) Patrick Abba Moro on bike (okada) on his way from his Ugbokolo residence to the venue of his daughter's wedding ceremony last Saturday in Ugbokolo.

When he pulled out of his compound to go for the event, he met an intimidating traffic gridlock outside his house and before anyone could suggest anything, the Comrade Senator jumped down (alighted) from his SUV, waved to the next available okada man and climbed the bike.

Speaking during the ceremony, Senator Moro described the bride as his second mother. According to him, Theresa was when his mother died and he decided to name her after the late mum as a mark of honour.

Senator Moro recalled with nostalgia, “For your information, that was the young girl that was born when my mother died and I named her after my mother. So, in the family, she is my mother, am happy for her and I pray God will bless her marriage to replicate my mother here on earth.”

Dr. Paul Enenche’s Younger Brother Who Is A Flying Officer Weds In Abuja

Flying Officer Felix Audu Enenche, on Saturday, took his love, Judith Atama to the altar.

The wedding took place at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Jikwoyi/Karu, Abuja.

Addressing the new couple shortly after joining them in holy matrimony, the Senior Pastor of DIGC, Dr. Paul Enenche, described marriage as a union of two people who have forgiven themselves forever.

He warned the couple against involving third party in their marriage.

IDOMA VOICE observed that wedding ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Paul and his wife, Dr. Becky Enenche, Maj Gen John Enenche, Director of Defence Information (who are his elder brothers), ace gospel music minister, Pastor Elijah Oyelade and many top shots from the military.

There was another outbreak of inferno at the Otukpo Central market at the early hours of Wednesday.


IDOMA VOICE gathered that this is the second time in 2020 that similar incident is happening.

So far, over 40 shops have been razed by the inferno.

Firemen are at the moment battling to contain the inferno.
Meanwhile, the traditional ruler of Otukpo Chief John O. Eimonye (Och’Otukpo) has reacted to the fresh fire outbreak at Otukpo main market.

The monarch, who was at the market while firemen were sweating it out to contain the inferno, called on the government to come to their aid.

According to him, “Not too long, this same market was on fire and we pleaded with the state government to come to our aid by making the road motorable and enforce that the market should close by 6pm.

“Fire does not come from heaven just like that. We are sure there are people in the market who are behind this. “

A Senior lecturer with the College of Education Oju, James Pinne, is dead.

Pinne died in a terrible accident involving his SUV on Saturday.



IDOMA VOICE reports that the accident involved his Lexus SUV with the registration number, MKD 777 JT along Gboko-Tarka road, precisely at Pipeline, Wanune section of the road.

An eyewitness said, Hon Pine lost control of his car and hit a mechanic who was repairing a packed car while coming back from the burial of Terhemba Ishegh’s mother.


The mechanic also died at spot.

Until his death, Hon. James Pine was a senior lecturer of college of education of Oju, former Makurdi Local Government Council Chairman and ex-Executive Secretary (ES) Benue state Teaching Service Board (TSB) senior staff.

The Senior Pastor, Dunamis International Gospel Centre Abuja, Pastor Paul Enenche, commissioned the multi-million Naira Messiah Medical Centre Jos, the Plateau State capital, on Saturday, saying Christianity brought civilization to the entire world, IDOMA VOICE reports.

Speaking as a Guest Speaker during the dedication/commissioning of the Messiah Medical Centre of Church of Eternal Life (COEL) Jos at the weekend, Enenche said most of the best universities in the world today came into existence as a result of Christian missionary activities.

According to him, anywhere one sees a Church, beside it, there must be a school or hospital building, adding that Christianity is the hallmark of civilization and knowledge.

He commended Christian organisations saying that apart from striving for the upliftment of the spiritual life of their congregation also go extra mile to build hospitals to cater for the medical needs of members of their immediate community.

Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State, who was represented at the occasion by the Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs, Hon. Irmiya Sauni Werre, in his remark, appreciated the effort of Reverend Sunday O. Academe, Senior Pastor of COEL, complementing the effort of the state government to provide quality health care service to the people of the state.

Earlier in his opening address, Rev Academe said the Messiah Medical Centre is a vision from God to render medical service to the needy with Christ-like hospitality.

According to him, the hospital is to give first class treatment to people medically challenged at a minimal cost and will be open 24 hours a day for medical services stressing that the centre will commence with a One week free medical treatment in the area.

He pointed out that the hospital is a complex of Three floor building comprising of all amenities and equipped with modern medical facilities in all department.

According to him, the medical center is affiliated to other top hospitals and medical personnel both within and outside the country.

The Benue State Commissioner for Health and Human Resources, Dr Emmanuel Ikwulono is dead.

Ikwulono, a native of Agatu, died barely three months after his appointment.

The late commissioner was appointed following the resignation of Dr Sunday Ongbabo from the State Executive Council.

His death as announced on Radio Nigeria, Harvest FM located in Makurdi occurred in Jos, the Plateau State capital where he was taken to for medical attention.
A source from Government House, Makurdi said the commissioner died from complications of surgery for a yet-to-be ascertained ailment in an undisclosed hospital.

The source added that Ikwulono had attended the last week’s State Executive Council meeting before he went for the surgery that claimed his life.

Hon James Obonyilo, Councillor Representing Ai-Oodo Ward 2 has confirmed the outbreak of strange disease in Epeilo community in Otukpa, Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State.

IDOMA VOICE reports that several persons have lost their lives in the outbreak of the strange illness the area.

Briefing the local government council on his findings about the reported cases of death in Epeilo, it was established that those who have died so far displayed the same symptom which is suspected to be liver related.

It was gathered that between October and now, 11 persons are said to have died while about 6 others are currently on admission at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital Makurdi.

“For now, there's no evidence of food poisoning or water contamination in the community as those who have died are not from the same families who eat and drink together though all possible options are being looked into as investigations continues,” a staff of the local government council said.

The State Government in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Commissioner for Health and Human Service, Dr Emmanuel Ikwulono, said, “At the time of the receipt of the report yesterday, 9th November, 2020, about 17 persons were already said to have died of the illness.


“We currently have one case which was brought to Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi by a relative of the patient. Others are receiving treatment in different hospitals.”

Former Super Eagles player-turned cleric, Pastor Taribo West has played into the hands of social media users and he’s currently enjoying baptism of fire.

This followed his prophecy that the recently concluded US election was going to favour the incumbent, Donald Trump, IDOMA VOICE reports.



In the viral video, West, who oversee Shelter in The Storm Miracle Ministries of All Nations, had claimed that his prophecies on Edo and Ondo elections came to pass but nobody reported it.

He then told his media men to make sure his prophecy on the US election goes out before time.



“Before the election in Edo, I said Obaseki was going to win, and it came to pass. Nobody brought it out. Nobody quoted me anywhere. I also said it before the Ondo election that Akeredolu was going to win, and he won.

However, his prophecy hit the cross bar as Joe Biden has since been projected winner of the election.

Meanwhile, Trump is yet to concede defeat.

Benue Pastor Kidnaped, Murdered For Allegedly Stealing Manhood By Angry Mob

Pastor Uhembe Jacob, a man, who was wrongly accused of stealing people’s manhood in Daudu area of Benue State has been murdered.

Uhembe was murdered after mob burnt down his houses, church and all his other properties in the state, Idoma Voice reports.

They also kidnapped him and took him to an unknown destination.

However, Olikita Ekani a media aide to the state governor, Samuel Ortom, confirmed that Pastor Jacob was murdered “in cold blood for a sin he knew nothing about and buried his body in a shallow grave.”

According to him, “His only sin was that he was making rapid progress!

“His spirit will continue to torment those murderers who perpetrated this dastardly act and Daudu will remain a cursed land until the killers are brought to justice.

“A people whose hands are stained with the blood of innocent souls will never make progress.”

Meanwhile, residents of the state took to the street on Sunday to demand justice for the murdered cleric.

At the moment, IDOMA VOICE observed that no arrest has been made over the ugly incident.

The Executive Chairman of Ado Local Government, Hon. James Oche, has declared that the community shall never play host to Biafra agitators.

Hon. Oche was reacting to the recent alleged hoisting of the defunct Biafa flag in a community in Ado, IDOMA VOICE reports.

The LG boss, however, affirmed that those behind the act of sabotage on the territorial integrity of Ado Local Government and by extension, the state of Benue will be fished and must face the consequences of their actions.

In a statement personally signed, Hon. Oche urged residents of the area to remain calm, peace loving and law abiding as they have always been while his administration makes frantic efforts to bring dividend of democracy to their doorstep.

It is true that boarder communities of Ado Local Government interact in terms of trade and other social engagements with the boarder communities of Ebonyi State of South Eastern Nigeria.

That despite this social affinity occasioned by geographical placing, there is a deep, understandable and recognized demarcation as to the geographical integrity and community disparity of the land and people of Benue and that of Ebonyi States.

That the people of Benue State and particularly of Ado Local Government under the distinguished leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Samuel Ortom, the Executive Governor of Benue State are not party to any form of agitation for the proscribed Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) and we as the local government authority would defy any such attempt within the ambit of our powers and of the law.

That we note with dismay that, some indigenes of Ado Local Government colluded with and supported the agitators whom we were informed hoisted the Biafran flag at Odoke Market in Ekile community of Ado LGC.  Pertinent it is to say that our prompt reaction supported by the military nipped them in the bud as they hurriedly disassembled the flag and took to their heels upon receiving information that we were coming.

That those behind this act of sabotage on the territorial integrity of Ado Local Government and by extension, the state of Benue will be fished and must face the consequences of their actions.

That we reiterate the firmness of our unwavering support to the administration of His Excellency, Dr. Samuel Ortom and His Deputy, Engr Benson Abounu who are committed to ensuring the safety of the lives and property of Benue People.

We urge our people to remain calm, peace loving and law abiding as they have always been. We similarly urge them to report any form of encroachment on our collective land by criminal elements acting under the style of the proscribed IPOB agitators as well as their internal collaborators to appropriate authorities for prompt action.

Superstition is a widely held but irrational belief in supernatural influences, especially as leading to good or bad luck, or a practice based on such a belief while omen on the other hand is an event regarded as a portent of good or evil.

Every tribe has its unique belief and Idoma community is not left out.


In the extant time and even now, there are beliefs and superstitions that our people have refused to let go.

Today, IDOMA VOICE takes a look at some of the popular omens/superstitions in Idoma land and their meanings.

HOOTING OWL (OGWUGWU)

An owl is a nocturnal bird of prey with large eyes, a facial disc, a hooked beak, and typically a loud hooting call. In Idoma land, when an owl hoots repeatedly close to the house, it is believed that someone in the family is about to die.

BEE SWARM (ENWU)

Bees are stinging winged insects which collect nectar and pollen, produces wax and honey, and live in large communities. They are commonly found in hollow trees.

However, when a swarm of bees relocates from the forest to a tree close to the house, it is believed to be a bad omen in Idoma land. Once this happens, someone in the community would die.

CLICKING BATS

Just like owl, it is believed that once a bat pings/clicks around the house, it is a sign that someone is about to die.

It means that the owl is renting a shroud (opa).

CORONA AROUND THE SUN (ADO)

A halo around the sun is a fairly common phenomenon. It is typically caused when there are very high, very thin clouds. These clouds, being so high in the sky, are made from ice crystals. However, in Idoma land, it is believed that once that happens, a prominent person in the community is about to die.

GHOST IN THE MARKET SQUARE (ALEKWU)

Another popular superstition in Idoma land is hot to spot a ghost in the market square. It is believed that if you dare look in between your legs in the market square, you will see apparitions walking with their heads. Nobody has ever seen that anyway.

BABY AND MIRROR

It is also believed in this part of the country that once an infant sights him/herself in the mirror, the child’s teeth will never grow.

BOIL ON EYELID (Ukpukpuweja)

A boil that occurs on the eyelid is called a stye and in Idoma land, it is believed that if it appears on the left eyelid, someone from the maternal side would die and if is on the right side, someone from the paternal side would die.

WEARING WRONG SIDE OF A CLOTH

In some parts of Idoma land and Nigeria at large, when someone mistakenly wears the wrong side of a cloth, it is believed that something good is about to come the person’s way. It means someone is about gift the person something, especially money.

THE LEFT FOOT MYSTERY

Have you ever tripped and hurt your left foot and you were on your way to do something, meet someone or attend to something? Chills run down your spine as you get a feeling of foreboding. When you fail, you remember your little accident and believe that a sign was given to you. You wish you had instead hit your right foot as it is a sign of luck.

HITTING THE TEETH

It is also believed that if you are eating and you mistakenly hit your teeth, it is a sign that hunger is lurking around the corner.

MOUSE COMING OUT AT DAYTIME

Mouse Malondialdehyde (MDA) ELISA Kit - ELISA Genie

Akoto beche oleno, eche layidoma: This is a popular song among the Idoma people (West). It means, if a rabbit comes out at daytime, it is a taboo.

In Idoma land, it is believed that mice are only seen at night and if it comes out during the day, it is a bad omen. It means an aged woman/man is about to die in the community.

ITCHING OF LEFT HAND

When your left hand itches, it means money is going out. Right means money coming in. | Itchy hands, Itchy palms superstition, Old wives tale

A left palm itching can carry spiritual meaning or be related to a medical condition. There are superstitions about luck and money that relate to a hand that itches, and remedies on how to make it stop.

When your left hand’s palm itches, it can indicate you are about to come into some money.

BREAKING OF CLAY POT ON FIRE

In the extant time, women cook food using clay pots. However, when a woman is making a meal and the clay pot breaks on fire, it is believed that one of her parents or someone dear to her is about to die.

SALIVA MYSTERY

There is another superstition that whenever spit suddenly drops from your mouth, it is a sign that you are about to eat enough meat.

GRAND SQUIRREL MYSTERY

Okwuleje (grand squirrels) are members of the squirrel family of rodents, which generally live on or in the ground, rather than trees.

It is also believed that if you are working towards a goal or outcome and have been wondering about the meaning of squirrel crossing your path, then the squirrel is trying to tell you not to give up.

Two budding medical doctors, Rhoda Eneh Ameh and Sunday Okpanachi Agbo wedded on Saturday.

The lovebirds signed the dotted lines at the bank of the No.1 beach side leisure hub in Lagos, Lekki Leisure under the shepherdship of Apostle Paul Ameh.

The high octane event was attended by close friends and members of both families.
While the groom, Dr. Sunday hailed from Kogi State, the bride, Dr. Rhoda is a native of Ogbadibo in Benue State.

Rhoda is the daughter of soft-spoken cleric and Senior Pastor of Covenant Believers Christian Centre, CBCC, Lagos, Dr. Austine Ameh and Lady Evangelist Rachel Ameh.

Addressing the young couple shortly after exchanging their marital vows, the officiating minister, Apostle Success Haruna admonished them to maintain their marriage life outside social media.

He specifically urged them to take advantage of the fact that both of them practice the same profession and live like friends.

Comrade Abba Moro, the Senator representing the good people of Benue South Senatorial District, has condemned, in the strongest terms, the security challenge that continues to confront parts of his constituency.

IDOMA VOICE recalls that a commercial motorcyclist and his passenger, a policeman, were brutally murdered by armed men in Ado Local Government Area on Wednesday, October 28.

Senator Moro, while reacting, described the unprovoked attack as barbaric, inhumane and cowardice, stating that the perpetrators of the heinous crime must be brought to book.

The Senator, therefore, enjoined his constituents to be watchful and vigilant, saying that they should not hesitate to report strange and suspicious faces to security operatives.
