Christianity EtcEjection Drama: Paul Enenche's Family Speaks by owukpa(op): 6:56pm On Sep 07, 2016
Ejection of Sammoses’ widow from house: Full statement by the Enenche family

Information of news on social media, blogs and other platforms reached us accusing the Family of the late Rev. Sammoses Odiba Enenche who has just been laid to rest barely seven days ago of ejecting his widowed wife from a rented apartment in a certain area in Abuja which she lived with her late husband before his sudden demise.

The family of our late brother Rev. Sammoses Odiba Enenche who we are still grieving and mourning received this news with great shock and initially decided to pay deaf ears to it as we believe that mourning time is a period for reflection on our own lives while we are still on earth.
After much consideration, we deem it necessary to clear the air and share the untold side of the story haven received messages from concerned friends of our family who know us and what we stand for.

Rev. Sammoses Odiba Enenche, a promising and fast rising man of God suddenly met his death without illness. Glory to God for a family who without doubt and suspicion received the sad news of their brothers demise from his wife at mid night and decided to make all arrangements to lay his body to rest in peace without medical procedures of autopsy as required in our present times.

Thus, it may sadden you to know that the late Rev. parted suddenly with a lot that needed to be addressed and executed both in his ministry and his private dealings before his sudden departure whose cause was never known, as the family outrightly refused the need to run any form of medical examinations but chose to accept the fate.

In the bid to assist carry on the legacy of our late brother Rev. Sammoses Odiba Enenche, it was first pertinent to coordinate the affairs of his ministry Jesus Glory Chapel International in conjunction with his widow for which a lot needed to be put in place.

The Siblings of the Late pastor came together with his widowed wife as expected to discuss the need to move on and to assist her move on in any capacity required.

It is however sad that despite the immense love and contributions made by the members of the family to support our Late Brothers widow and to help offset outstanding bills in the ministry which she would not have been able to meet up with, the family was shocked with the stage -managed reaction from a rented apartment, the rentage of which had expired since July.

The mischievous unwarranted accusation and defamation of the Character and personalities of the entire family is suspected to have been prompted by the reaching out of the family to help ORDER the affairs of her husband's ministry and concerns, to which she seems to be allergic. She is also showing signs of resistance to sound counsel, order, and wisdom.

So much love has been shown to her, shielding her from every negative tradition and culture against Widows after burials.
Therefore, for the purpose of clarity we wish to state categorically and in emphatically the following:

1. The Family of our late brother Rev. Sammoses Odiba Enenche are by the special grace of God well blessed and fortunate and have no need to desire any form of possession or acquisition of our late brother to whose life and ministry we have immensely contributed both in cash and kind over the years and up till this moment, being the last born his mother.

2. The Family of our late brother who suddenly passed on without illness are all known for philanthropic activities with track record of assisting widows and orphans in thousands.

You may recall that massive supply and relief was sent by the family to Agatu in Benue State to assist widows and orphans who were displaced and with their husbands killed by recent attackS. As a principle the family stands against the oppression of Widow's and the less privileged.

3. The family was willing and ready with the full knowledge of the widow to make payment for the renewal of the rent of the 5 bedroom apartment in Abuja where our late Brother before his demise lived with his wife as the rent had expired a couple of months before his demise , all geared towards ensuring the comfort of his widowed wife.

4. We agreed with our late brothers wife that the Ministry of our Late Brother will have to continue as a legacy and therefore should move on.

It was in the light of this that arrangements were being made to offset all the bills running into Millions of Naira owed by the ministry due to his sudden demise. It may interest you to note that actions had already been taken as salaries owed some workers were already paid on Monday by the family before this mischievous outrage of Tuesday.

The Tuesday meeting was intended to continue the next stages of
actions from the families own personal accounts just to shield her.

5. We wish to inform the general public that the news making rounds on social media, blogs and news platforms accusing the family of Rev Sammoses Odiba Enenche of ejecting his widow out of a rented house, whose rent expired 2 months ago.

And asking her to go back to the village with a pay of N50,000 for allowance for 6 months, and all sorts of accusations are false, mischievous , unrealistic and a conspired and constructed attempt to dent the image of the family. Family matters are not meant for the media but to be settled privately within the family.

6. We wish to inform the general public that the entire Family are still till this moment willing to show our relentless love and total support towards the widow and ministry of our Late Brother Rev.Sammoses Odiba Enenche and we await her return to the house she voluntarily vacated without our prior notice and amidst all pleas to restrain her from her unilateral decisions and actions.

7. We wish to state at this point that she is free to do everything she wishes with her late husband's affairs and ministry. We have no intention to interfere in the affairs and ministry of our late brother Rev Sammoses Enenche since our attempt to assist has been misconstrued and violently resisted.

Every attempt to reach her since her decision to move out of the house has been futile as her phones and contacts have not been accessible. We however are available and open for discussions and conclusions on any pending issues as soon as she is willing to respond to our gestures.

God bless us and may we please understand that life is a seed; what we sow in time, we reap in eternity. Let's hear people out before rushing to conclude on issues. Let's be careful of making comments on issues we don't understand.
It is well!

I am Mr Paul Ogbe Onoja, Rev Sammoses Odiba Enenches's Nephew, (son of of his second senior sister)

Jesus is Lord!

This is the statement and pictures forwarded to IDOMAVOICE.COM by the family.

By Ekre Christian

Pastor Mrs. Grace Anne Eneneche, widow of late Rev Sammoses Enenche has opened up on why she was asked to pack out of her late husband’s house in Abuja.

The widow, who is currently homeless and housed by a church member in Maitama area of Abuja told IDOMA VOICE on Tuesday that the late husband’s family members asked her to leave, claiming that since the husband is no more, they have nothing to do with her.
The emotion-laden woman said that the family members pointedly told her that she’s free to remarry.

“They said I am free to remarry since their brother (my husband, Sammoses) is no more. But if I choose to remain unmarried; they will make provision for my welfare, but before then, I will have to go to my mother’s house in Otukpo, Benue State and stay there for six months after which I will to return and work under somebody in my late husband’s ministry, Jesus Glory Chapel here in Abuja. According to them, for the six months that I will spend in the village; they will give me N50k only to sustain me throughout,” she told www.IDOMAVOICE.com amid tears and sobs.

Asked what was her next plan, the confused widow said, “I can’t talk much now my brother. But as we speak I only left the house with just my bag and my late husband’s portrait.”

Barely one week after the burial of Rev Sammoses Enenche, the immediate younger brother of Dr. Paul Enenche of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Abuja, the widow, Anne, has been ejected from her late husband’s apartment.

IDOMA VOICE exclusively gathered that the woman, who is still mourning her husband who was buried last Wednesday in Orokam, Benue State was on Tuesday reportedly chased out of the apartment of her husband in Lugbe area of Abuja by some persons believed to be her late husband’s relatives.

They also collected the late husband's church, Jesus Glory Chapel International from her and asked her to return to Otukpo, Benue State.

The late Rev Sammoses, who wedded his wife, a native of Otukpa in Ogbadibo LGA of Benue State in 1993, recently renewed his marriage vow with the wife in an Abuja marriage registry.

"At the moment, the woman is in tears and has been taken to Maitama area of Abuja by a church member," a reliable insider told IDOMA VOICE.

Efforts to speak with any member of the Enenche's family could not yield fruit at the moment.

FashionMiss Sahhara: I Would Have Committed Suicide If I Didn’t Leave Nigeria by owukpa(op): 9:19pm On Aug 26, 2016
By Vera Enenche

Top model and activist, Miss Sahhara, (Clifford Oche) has revealed that moving to the United Kingdom saved her from committing suicide.

The Idoma-born, Benue State lass said she was tired of being bullied and harassed in Nigeria, hence, her decision to move to the UK.

In a podcast interview, the Trans right activist said that it was not true that she suddenly decided to be a woman overnight.

She said, “Being a woman and living in your true gender is not a lifestyle. There was no time of epiphany; it’s like someone asking you when you decided to be male or female, am sure your answer will be, since you were born. So I have always known that I am female, my brain has always been female”

On why she decided to leave Nigeria, the ex-Benue Varsity student said “Moving to the United Kingdom was my redemption, it was either staying in Nigeria, continue being bullied, harassed, beaten up, and succeed in killing myself, or moving away to a more open minded society to leave my dreams to my fullest potentials, so I took the latter”

CrimeDANGER! Drunk Policeman Threatens Benue Residents With Gun (PHOTOS) by owukpa(op): 9:04am On Aug 22, 2016
According to a resident, Orahii Samuel, this policeman (pictured), Mobile Unit on duty yesterday at about 2pm at Igyula along Gboko-Aliade Road took alcohol to stupor and was seriously misbehaving by threatening road users with the gun.
I tried getting his service number and name but his jacket covered the tags.
I saw him assured a commercial driver that he would have wasted his life by shooting him dead if it was at night, just because the driver told him that he does not have money to settle them.

He added that in Maiduguri, a driver can't waste a policeman's time to begin to explain that he doesn't have money for settlement; the police will just shoot the driver dead and throw him in the bush.

He warned the driver not to say a pleading word again rather than quietly settle them. One of the passengers who saw how the driver's vehicle has been having faults while they were coming gave him N30 to give to the policeman and plead further.

When the driver removed the N30 to give to the policeman, he asked him how much it was. The driver replied him that it's N30. The policeman became infuriated and started beating up the driver with his gun. He said the driver has insulted him by giving him N30.

His colleagues intervened but could not stop him. They told this reporter that their superior colleague is drunk and confessed he has been behaving like that since morning. According to them, they can't stop him because he is their superior.

I write this to request the Nigerian Police Force to call Gboko Command to trace this unprofessional policeman on duty yesterday at Igyula Community along Gboko-Aliade Road using the attached pictures. Those plying that route should also take caution in order not to risk their lives.
In the second picture below with money on ground in front of the policeman, he was doing so while trying to prove to the driver that he has enough money and not hungry enough to collect N30 from him.

CrimeHarvest Of Deaths! See How Benue State Is Bleeding (PIX) by owukpa(op): 7:27pm On Aug 13, 2016
When Apostle of the Most High and Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministry, Prof Johnson Suleman in January 2016 prophesied that he saw blood flowing in Benue State, many people took his prophesy with a pinch a salt.

However, with less than four months to the end of 2016 IDOMA VOICE can count up to over 50 persons that have been buried 'untimely' under current the leadership of Benue State government.

Many of the victims died as result of poor security in the state.
While some were killed by cult-related activities, others were abducted and murdered by their kidnappers.

Following the worsening insecurity situation in the state, many residents have resorted to jungle justice as any criminal caught were lynched to death and set ablaze.

When Ortom took over the mantle of leadership in 2015, he vowed to flush out terrorists from the state by declaring amnesty for criminals, but the programme seems to have hit the rocks as crime-related activities still reign in the food basket state.

Just recently, Pastor Joshua Iginla also predicted that the state needed prayers as her saw evil befalling her.

Here are pictures of some persons who lost their lives recently,

CultureBefore You Marry Idoma Girl: Important Things You Must Know by owukpa(op): 10:24am On Aug 13, 2016
By Ugwu Lawrence Enenche with additional information by Ameh Comrade Godwin

The Idoma people live in north central Nigeria, Benue State by the south eastern flank.

In most cultural groups in Nigeria, traditional marriage is an arrangement between two families rather than an arrangement between two individuals.
[img][/img]
Marriage in Idoma land is considered a lifelong state of union, although divorce is possible on the grounds of Infidelity.
When an Idoma man is about twenty-five years old and has the financial and physical capability to maintain a wife and children, he searches for a woman of his choice, who must be at least eighteen years old. He informs his family of his desire and they will in turn choose a go-between (a person who is familiar with the girl's family).

The go-between (ogbo’onya) investigates the family of the prospective bride to ascertain that the family has no history of specific ailments e.g. mental disease, epilepsy, and/or similar problems. If the result of this investigation is positive, the prospective groom's family visits the woman's family with gifts of kolanut and drinks.

After both families had reached agreement, a certain amount would be paid to indicate that she has been taken. This is called (achi’osechefu).

After much deliberation, an acceptable date is reached by both families.

Then, the bride price. The Idoma community remains the best place to marry from due to their hospitality. During the bride price negations, the father of the bride would not be on ground. The go-between (ogbo’bonya) and some members of both families would sit and the bride family’s representatives will call an outrageous amount considering her academic qualification after which the groom’s family will negotiate. Both of them will now go for separate secret meetings (ujuju) and after this the will come to a conclusion on the amount to be paid.

At the end of the day, the groom’s family will present the amount with them with a promise to pay in full in the offing. The go-between will now present the money to the groom’s parents and a kindhearted father would probably take out N300 for himself and N200 for the wife- (bride’s mum) totaling N500 (five hundred naira only) and ask the groom to use the rest to take care of his daughter and never to allow her go hungry.

On the same day, a list of required traditional items to be brought to the girl’s family on the D-day is given to the man. The items differ from ethnic group to ethnic group.

For example, in Owukpa, Ogbadibo basic among these items are:

1. Cloths for the Father of the girl
2. Cloth for the Mother of the girl
3. Some tubers of Yam
4. One or two bags of Salt
5. Two she goats for both mum and dad
6. Two basins of rice
7. Drinks (both alcoholic and non alcoholic)
8 A Suitcase for the wife to be, et al.

The bride's mother buys her cooking utensils and food because she is not expected to go to the market for the first five market days after her marriage.

Before the bride is handed over to her husband, her age group will pose as a mock barrier to those who want to take her and extort money from the anxious groom's family.

Also every member of the bride's mother's family must be given money, with the groom's family determining the amount. The bride's age group and her more distant relatives also are given money, with the amount varying with level of the bride's education and productivity.

Then the groom's family gives the bride a rooster and some money. If she accepts these gifts and gives them to her mother, she indicates her acceptance of the groom and is showered with gifts and money, but if she refuses to marry the man after these gifts have been provided, the bride’s family will return everything.
At the end of the eating and drinking, the wife is finally handed over to the go-between (ogb’onya).

The father of the bride would hand down some vital information to the go-between for the groom such as:

We don’t kick our women
She’s not for sale
Return her corpse whenever she dies. She must not be buried outside

Ideally, the bride is expected to be a virgin, as it is a source of pride and joy to her family.

However, in a case where the girl takes in before the wedding, traditionally, both families will have to wait until the girl puts to bed before the marriage rites commence. In some parts of Idoma land, especially Owukpa, if a man impregnates any girl before marriage, there's a fine he will have to pay before he asks for her hands in marriage.

Importantly, whenever both couple agree to go their separate ways (DIVORCE) the woman is not expected to leave with anything she bought while the marriage lasted. The bride's parents are also expected to cough out the bride price and some of the things the groom bought during the marriage ceremony for them.
