@ All Maka all of una update wetin happen after the second test. I did mine at ICC in Abj on 31st. omo d test gangsta, never did a test like that in my life b4. I felt I did well though, but when I called in for my result, I was told I didn't make it. Eventually I had an inside person check what really happened, he confirmed that I actually passed, but due to zonal whatever, people who no score reach me wey be northerners scale thru, but because i'm from Osun state the quota don full or sumthing like that. Initially i was downcast but a relative consoled me that God had a bigger plan for me. And HE DID! I'm now working for one of the top ten companies in the world, scheduled to go to New York for some eight-month training! Glory be to God Almighty! |
@ gentledove Thank God you survived the accident Una suppose give us details o. U said u were on ur way to work? Where? Lag? PH? Omo our roads no safe o, if person fit get broken bone and half-shut eyes from just going to work, when no be say person dey travel cross-country. May God continue to guide our paths. |
@ cocci It aint a way to live sha, you'll have to admit, half of dem bankers aint happy with their job, most are just gathering enough dough b4 switchin to anotha career or runnin off for a masters degree ![]() |
@ finecat i feel u o, u dey correct I used to be an employee ( i served with the bank), and i can tell u it was hell on earth. I was virtually praying for service year to be over. My first few weeks were a torture; if u fail to sign in at 7:30 officially it's assumed u didn't come to work that day, upon that we no dey close early o, i don comot work for 10:30pm before. After a month i wrote a pledge in my diary basically stating that "No matter how much they're offering me and even if i'd become so used to life over there, I WOULD NOT BE STAYING". And i signed my name underneth. No doubt the pay is good, even now wey i don comot since Feb dem still dey pay one thing or anoda (productivity or profitability or sumthin), but my dear pple, u aint gonna have any life outside of the bank. I went to work on saturdays and at times sundays as well. (I was in charge of their ATM machine and they'd buzz me anytime it went down, not minding i wasn't a full staff but a freakin' ajuwaya!) Public holidays were not left out. I spent xmas and new year at my station and couldn't travel home cos of the damn bank. I basically had visions of my family enjoying xmas chicken amidst laugher and all, and i had to be content with Sweet Sensation rice and chicken wey i dey chop alone in the corner of my room. Sheeeiiittt! Upon all d pay, everyday na one memo or anoda. Akingbola throw one one time wey talk say if any account wey u dey manage go dormant, dem go comot from ur salary, Imagine that bulls**t! If customer no carry money put for hin account, na headache for u, God help u if d customer no dey available, or hin refuse to pay, na to go carry out of the big salary wey dem dey pay u put for ur customer account! Experience plenty, make i no talk too much. Gladly left at the end of my service year. Wouldn't go back for all d money in d world. |
@welli Thanks @Topic I've always wanted to experience a live-in before gettin married and i still do, but i have to admit the thot of over-familiarity, taking each otha for granted and eventual disrespect has crept into my mind |

The scheme actually makes a lot of sense, investors can will not enter the industry cos of the current price rates which are flat, and simultaneously the govt cannot increase the prices cos right now electric power is a joke in this country. The strategy? The govt is trying to satisfy the investors and the nigerian consumers at the same time, so it will pick up the cost of increase for the next three years until atleast the situation improves. I sincerely hope it works out sha. |
I haven't watched any in the last few years, but I haven't forgotten how much i enjoyed watching "Agbara Nla" back then, It was the simply the bomb! |

La Liga - Barça want £31m for Ronaldinho Eurosport - Tue, 29 Apr 12:09:00 2008 Barcelona president Joan Laporta has slapped a massive £31 million price tag on unsettled star Ronaldinho. More StoriesChampions League: Advantage Barca? United v Barcelona: Probable teams He confirmed that Barcelona had received several bids for the twice former World Player of the Year, including from Premier League sides, but Milan had shown the strongest interest. Milan said earlier this month they had agreed personal terms with the Brazil forward but his move to the San Siro stalled over the Spanish club's asking price. "I only say that Ronaldinho is worth more than 40 million euros (£31m)," Laporta said. He added that the player might stay on at the Camp Nou. "He has never created the slightest problem and I'm sure he will return to how he was before, as soon as he is well. "He just needs to find new motivation, but it's no foregone conclusion that he has to leave because he can find this with us, given that his contract runs until 2010." Manager Frank Rijkaard recently said Ronaldinho had played his last game for the club, and Laporta's statement most likely represents a negotiating stance in what promises to be a lengthy transfer saga. Little more than two years ago, the 28-year-old was almost unanimously regarded as the best player in the world. However, a prolonged dip in form, coupled with question marks over his professionalism and proneness to injury, means Barça have been offered little more than half their asking price. Milan and city rivals Internazionale have made their interest plain, while Manchester City are also believed to be in the hunt. http://eurosport.yahoo.com/29042008/58/la-liga-bar-want-31m-ronaldinho.html |

@ cadet n cixluv you totally miss the point. what i'm getting at is that sex has become so casual these days that most people rarely think twice before engaging in it, but u'll take a lot of factors into consideration before lending someone ur car; ask questions like "do I know where he/she lives?(incase ur car doesn't get returned)", "does he/she have a sibling i could contact if he/she disappears with my car?" "Hell, do i even know his/her last name?" I know I was "gettin' it on" with a chick for about two months or so, and i didn't even know her address or even know her last name. She was coming for "the treatment" steadily before we eventually broke it off after a while. Now ask me: would I have loaned her my car if she had asked? 'course not! |
Here's an interesting survey with interesting results, Question: You've known this person of the opposite sex for 2 weeks and gone out for 3 or 4 times, would you have sex with him/her? 90% said "YES". You've known this person of the opposite sex for 2 weeks and gone out for 3 or 4 times, would you lend him/her your car? 99.9% said "NO". I say again, does anyone see anything funny with these stats? I'm reading that you have sex with someone you barely know, but you wouldn't loan 'em your car, Where is the moral value in that? |

I've been fortunate enough not to be involved in an auto accident, thanks to God. I had this one accident when I was riding my bike back when I was a kid. Was riding my bike in our estate, which had a duplex on each side of the road, and two metallic water tanks per duplex. At the end of the street was four duplexes on each side, meaning eight water tanks. Riding my bike at high speed, waving to my friends as i sped by. Reached the end of the street and made a left turn, unfortunately the I realised too late the speed was excessive. Grabbed the brakes, but alas since the driveway was filled with gravel, I skidded and ended up colliding headlong into the bunch of metal tanks. Blacked out. Somewhere, somehow I heard the shouts of my mum and I felt myself being carried. Woke up at home, with a huge bloody gash just about an inch away from my right eye. Everyone told me how lucky I was not to have ended up with one eye. Dad immediately disposed of the bike. Damn I miss that bike! p.s - till today peeps think i'm an ibo boy cos of the scar! |
I have a distant relative that has three daughters, and when the third was born, the dude simply walked out of the hospital on hearing the news that it was a girl again. He left his wife and the new-born baby, and didn't even show up for the naming ceremony a week later! I guess men want male kids simply because it's nice to have a "mini-me" running about the house, and also cos they carry on their name after they're gone. My maternal grandad had 7 children, all female, all married, thus no one to carry on his name. |
Hi All, I'm to go live in Ghana for about a month or so, and would like if y'all could let me in on spots to visit and hang out in Accra, including niteclubs and all. All contributions/suggestions will be welcome. Thanks! |
