Gaspardd:Dude haven't you heard of privacy/incognito mode? I think every browser has it. It's bad practice to give your laptop unprotected to someone else. Your data is at risk because he can easily put malware for malicious purposes. To think it's just your browser history you are concerned about. |
Lol. I like how your first two sentences gives the subtle impression that you were the first person to break the news, and rumors started as soon as your breaking news hit the web. Oshey Facebook CEO! Bloggers ehn ![]() |
chiefobdk:lol. Depends on who is reading too. Back in secondary school, we were allowed to borrow one book per day from Monday to Thursday, but on Friday we could borrow two for the weekend. My sister and I would each borrow a book, and two for the weekend. Then we'd read each other's books, and we had to finish them quickly cos we usually had to return them the next day. So in total we'd typically read 12 books in a week. We quickly ran out of books after a few months, lol. They were kids' books though - Enid Blyton stories, Bobsey Twins, Hardy boys, Nancy Drew, Babysitters' Club and so on. Right now, there's so much to do that I cannot dedicate all that time to reading for pleasure, but for an idle person who is crazy about reading, it's very possible if the books aren't huge. |
chiefobdk:it's possible. Not all books are the same size. I typically used to start and finish Hadley Chase novels within 24 hours. |
Wow... That's a lot. What kind of books are we talking about here? It took me months to finish George Martin's 5 books in his 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series. Can't imagine anyone reading 27 big books like that in a month. |
Olawalesmarter:I wonder how many people would have been murdered if we continued to have an open mind about the killing of twins. The truth is we are a people driven by fear of the unknown, and not desire to know the unknown. Tell me truthfully, have you ever personally seen a human change into an animal or an animal change into a human? You think it's okay to kill based on suspicion? How would you like it if you had a beloved pet and people killed it the moment it steps out because someone thought a person changed into it? Or maybe your favorite relative (maybe even your brother or sister), accused of changing from an animal and murdered (maybe burned afterward) in the streets without questions asked? Would you still say no one has a right to judge? |
xpool:see this one is mentioning something from the 17th century when Europe was still steeped in mysticism and superstition. From the 17th century when there were no cars, no internet and no one knew that humans would one day fly around in planes and it would be normal. Those 'witches' were basically 'pagans' who believed in magic and worshipped deities different from what mainstream religion upheld. Their meeting places were called covens. Is that your validation for having bloodthirsty mobs killing people and animals based on hearsay, in this age when we should know better? Is that the place in modern day England where people are beaten or killed on suspicion of witchcraft? Can you cite any example? Is this validation for the many kids that have been murdered in this century in Nigeria because someone accused them of being witches? |
It's a Nigerian/African thing, and isn't just restricted to football. We are naturally violent, and have too much bitterness and frustration in us. It's sad. In another thread some people were justifying beating a dog to death because some people said it's a man that turned into it. This is Nigeria... Our people love to beat and kill. They just need a reason, any reason. Penalize the club with the offending fans. |
xpool:Name one place in 21st century England where it is okay to beat (or burn) people and animals to death on suspicion of witchcraft, or shut the hell up. As I stated in a previous post, Europe (including England) had a barbaric past spurred by fanatical religions. They were very eager to kill people who didn't believe what they did (heresy) or who they thought possessed strange powers (the witch hunt). They also had no electricity. By the 18th century, that madness had been phased out. In this 21st century, they know better. They also have electricity. Three centuries later, you are here defending it. You don't have electricity or good roads. You don't hold your leaders accountable but would rather blame a stray dog for your problems and beat it to death. No, the worst sets of witches aren't in England, they are in Africa - blood thirsty souls hating on national progress and all too eager to destroy everything and everyone on their path. They also accuse others of witchcraft so they can kill them and justify it. |
Olawalesmarter:so beating up stray dogs and humans to death is okay depending on your beliefs? The other guy said it is so the dog doesn't cause a fatal accident on the road, you are saying it's so it doesn't kill kids. Neither of you were there but you try to pretend that the report didn't say it was based on the suspicion that a man transformed into the dog. They didn't kill it because it is a dog, they killed it because they thought it's a shape-shifting human. In this era of camera phones, no one ever captures footage of people turning to animals or back to humans. Pretty sure you have never seen it happen, but you'd be all to eager to kill people and animals based on hearsay. Yes I'm different from the average Nigerian, I ask questions and don't run along with bloodthirsty mobs. I have my flaws, but being eager to kill or justify killing isn't one of them. However, I hope everyone justifying mob cruelty and jungle justice get to taste it. |
xpool:I see... It's so easy for cruel and bloodthirsty persons to make up excuses to justify their cruelty. See him talking about rabies and accidents, as if fear of witchcraft isn't the real reason. In which sane country do you hear that people beat stray dogs to death so they don't cause accidents? Don't worry, one day the mob you now justify would turn on you. They would make a split-second decision to beat you up, put tires around your neck and set you ablaze. People like you would come out to justify it, no matter the reason. That day you'd realize (albeit briefly) that savage cruelty, especially the type fueled by superstition, has no friends or relatives. |
Freedem:mehn, I don't know what to think anymore. I think about Africa and Nigeria a lot and, each time, it just makes me sad. I'm tired. Something as basic as electricity we cannot sufficiently produce and distribute. It's not as if we had to discover electricity ourselves and then invent ways to generate and distribute it. Others have done all that work, just to implement we can't. This election period is a particularly disappointing period for me. At this age we still have many people clamoring for illiterates to take the lead and continue the mediocrity. No foresight whatsoever. |
uuzba:bro one can't help being upset, especially after visiting other countries. Every civilization today had brutish origins. Japan basically worshipped their Emperor. Human sacrifice was the norm in South America. Europe had a very dark history, and even burnt people alive on allegations of witchcraft or heresy. Today it's no longer the same. Why are people all over the world improving over several generations and Africa isn't? |
xpool:spoken like a true ignorant Nigerian. Sane people don't defend stupidity and cruelty like you are doing now. The stray dog posed danger to whose life? Your own? You know this isn't about rabies. The average Nigerian cannot identify a rabid dog. |
chukxie:exactly! Many Nigerians are bloodthirsty bitter creatures always looking for something to destroy. People who have no problem burning fellow humans alive, na dog dem no fit beat to death? 21st century Africa behaving like 18th century Europe. |
For all those applauding the fact that some ex-governor calls the shots in Nigeria's economic capital, or that a president can suspend the constitution and remove a CJN at will, someday it would be your turn. Might not be the president or the mafia boss. Might just be some stupid SARS guys. But you'd realize then that TYRANNY HAS NO FRIEND. |
Wtf is sex empowerment again? ![]() |
PointZerom:I tell you! Tomorrow the hypocrites talk about corruption as if putting a senile puppet in power so they can control him and rule (without anyone realizing it) isn't corruption. |
Ategberoson:touché! Now that is what a typo is, not all your blunders in solidarity with the dull president. ![]() |
Ategberoson:hahaha... See this lackwit. You just murdered grammatical concord and you actually have no idea, even after I pointed it out. You are truly mentally hopeless, man. No wonder you are drawn to Buhari. I guess he gives you hope that a dull person can still get to the top. |
ucsquare:hmmm... I wonder how much we have been paying Madrid ![]() The willingness with which they received the last 5 - 1 is remarkable. |
Ategberoson:hahaha.... "even imbeciles knows a typographical errors..." he even used the article 'a' before plural nouns twice. Dude you are mentally hopeless like Buhari. ![]() Don't worry, I wouldn't be surprised after the elections, no matter the results - genuine or rigged. The majority of Nigerians are either stupid like you or plain shortsighted, and politics is a game of numbers. |
ucsquare:I'm still waiting for the reminder of the final score for Juve last night. A cup they have been winning for years, Ronaldo joins the club and they are easily knocked out. You shouldn't even be posting stuff on a thread for people who enjoy good football. Go look for Madrid thread - take note, not Atletico that may just complete the Juve humiliation this season. Real Madrid, the ones whose coaches we help fire after yet another demolishing. |
Excallibur:PSG ![]() |
surevik:why should God save the country when the majority have sold their consciences for money that wouldn't last a week? Some are looking forward to having a person from their tribe take over if the lifeless dude becomes clinically dead. Some are even looking at 2023, and don't care what happens until then. God gave everyone brains, and people in many other countries use theirs. Nigerians deserve what they get. |
Ategberoson:when you write the same nonsense twice, it's not a typo. Don't try to act smart. It's not your forte. Don't bring up the crap about lies or integrity. We all know the incumbent lied their way into power, and denied all their promises later. You prefer the liar who doesn't know the difference between presidential, senatorial and gubernatorial candidates? If you were a CEO, would you employ someone that mentally slow to manage your business? Yet he is given a country to run, and we are wondering why things are getting worse. At least we know these two can think for themselves, unlike Buhari who cannot even comprehend simple questions and give coherent answers. We can't tell who is making those top executive decisions that Buhari puts his signature on. Certainly not him, and it's not his lying VP either. |
Eruditor:thank you jare. So happy for Coutinho. Although his potential third goal got ruled out for offside, I like the way he confidently finished it. Glad he has stepped up. That 6th goal is a summary of what makes Barca so unique. |
ucsquare:what was the final score? ![]() These Ronaldo fan boys. Funny how you guys are okay with him dropping one 'disasterclass' after another, just as long as he scores a penalty. Then you'd say he's carrying Juve. Now no penalty, no party. |
Ategberoson:can't believe you wrote 'lair' twice. This one doesn't even know the difference between 'lair' and 'liar', but thinks his opinion is worth something. No wonder you prefer your fellow empty-skull illiterate who is currently president, but controlled by puppet masters behind the scene. He also doesn't know some very simple things you'd expect everyone with two or more brain cells to know. |
Essential:oga, Kavanaugh was tried on the rape allegations before appointment, and he wasn't found guilty. Say what you know, and you know nothing unless you were there when he raped someone. |
Imortal001:abeg give credit to whom credit is due. Are we talking about the same PMB that cannot answer simple questions in interviews? The same PMB that doesn't know the difference between Presidential, Senatorial and Gubernatorial? PMB knows next to nothing about anything, and has an incredibly slow mind (maybe this bit is just old age sha). It's his advisers (or perhaps the cabal calling the shots in his ears), that are smart. |
frozen70:what's the relationship between lust and the low self-esteem? Lust is natural and is important for the preservation of the human race. Surgically altering body parts so as to be attractive to someone else is unnatural and stupid. |
