As I stated in a previous post, Europe (including England) had a barbaric past spurred by fanatical religions. They were very eager to kill people who didn't believe what they did (heresy) or who they thought possessed strange powers (the witch hunt). They also had no electricity. By the 18th century, that madness had been phased out. In this 21st century, they know better. They also have electricity.

Three centuries later, you are here defending it. You don't have electricity or good roads. You don't hold your leaders accountable but would rather blame a stray dog for your problems and beat it to death.
