"pesin dey Lekki wey dey pump yansh" - Falz (follow follow) |
calculator123:yeah, I guess. Malcom hasn't impressed me so far though. He seems average with a few flashes once in a while. Maybe he just needs more game time. |
philfearon:lol... Yeah. Especially Coutinho. Suarez is off and on, but it seems Coutinho is permanently off. Tired of being hopeful. Dude literally hurts to watch. He better step up, fast! |
If you CANNOT defend what you are doing, you are not doing the right thing. |
Na you dey beat person, na you still dey shout. ![]() |
AbujaBlue:so you would prefer to have a human tied to a tree instead of a dog? |
Vrengkat:shut the hell up, pseud, there is nothing in that section that gives Buhari the right to suspend the CJN. You and your kind thrive on the fact that many Nigerians do not like to read. If you have the power to appoint, you have the power to suspend or remove. Does the president have the power to appoint the next CJN on his own? So which act gave him the power to suspend on his own? Certainly not the section you cited. You think everyone is stupid like you? |
Now this is the real reason Buhari was so eager to get the CJN out of the way. The rigging machinery has just been oiled. Puppets have been placed in the tribunals, ready to reinforce APC's chokehold on the nation. |
anonymous1759:justice is justice. No one is saying the CJ N is a saint. He may well be guilty, but Buhari has no constitutional power to suspend him on his own. You don't see the bigger picture, do you? If you disregard the constitution, it means you are claiming it is nonsense you are above it. As crazy as Trump is, he cannot dare try to usurp the power of the Judiciary or Legislative. Americans would stew him. They respect their constitution there. There is a reason the constitution separates powers and includes check and balances. So that one arm of government doesn't become so powerful that it starts acting arbitrarily. The presidential oath includes a vow to uphold the constitution. Buhari has broken his oath of office. |
Walter is still the CJN. Buhari has no power on his own to suspend him, just so he can rig in peace. |
anonymous1759:so because some people have been murdering others and at times have gotten away with it, I can as well come and bash your ignorant head on some wall till you go cold and it would be fine? You sound very shallow right now. The NBA which you would be a registered member of if you are called to bar condemned this tyrannical disregard for the law, but you are here defending it. Someday, the tyranny which you are justifying would engulf you and those you hold dear. That day you'd cry for justice, but she would have been long dead with your approval and that of your kind. |
Vrengkat:dude, you don't know the law. Strongly doubt you are a lawyer as you claim. There is no constitutional provision for 'suspension' of the head of the judiciary arm of government. There's no precedence either. It's either you are keeping him or removing him. What Buhari has done is technically removal. He wasn't appointed solely by the president and so cannot be suspended/removed by him. If you are removing him, then the NJC and senate has to be involved, not just on the order of some bloody CCT that is even lower than the Court of Appeal. Talking about equity and clean hands, hope you know the judge of the CCT has a case with EFCC. |
Impeach the tyrant |
seunmsg:shut the fvck up! What valid order? The CCT was ordered to suspend their trial by courts higher than it, yet they disregarded the order and told the tyrant Buhari to suspend the CJN. The CCT has no jurisdiction over suspension and appointment of the CJN, and the president has no power to suspend the CJN or appoint another without approval from the legislative. What is the price of your conscience? If you don't know how the law works, shut the fvck up! Stop supporting the suspension of the constitution. |
kanimike:please stop embarrassing your ignorant self. It was the NJC that suspended Salami. |
pelegiga92:thank God say Buhari no be my papa. |
Fvck everyone who is supporting this coup on the judiciary and rape of democracy... Fvck all of you!!! Buhari is a bloody tyrant! #BuhariOut |
4dor:dude, the Nigerian Court of Appeal ordered the CCT to suspend the trial, but they disregarded that injunction by A COMPETENT COURT OF LAW. Also Buhari disregarded the legislative like the tyrant that he is and went on to oil his rigging machinery. Where does the CCT have the jurisdiction to order suspension of the CJN, or appointment of another? This is blatant rape of the constitution and a coup on the judiciary. Shame on all those supporting this. |
4dor:the law you posted a link to says if you have the power to appoint, you have the power to remove or suspend. Does the president have the power to appoint the CJN on his own? No. The NJC recommends the next CJN, and then the president approves and seeks confirmation from the legislative majority before the appointment becomes official. So why did he suspend him without recommendation from NJC and confirmation by the legislative? |
4dor:and it wasn't the president who suspended him. Also it makes no sense to argue the illegality of suspending the head of the judiciary (CJN) without majority legislative backing, by citing the example of a former President of the Court of appeal. |
4dor:Salami was never CJN, he was President of the Court of Appeal, and it was NJC that suspended him. |
Papyk:yeah, they conveniently discovered it a few weeks to the national elections, just before tribunal judges are appointed. You guys may fool some Nigerians, but not all of us. It was NJC that suspended Salami and he wasn't CJN. Stop being ignorant. GEJ respected democracy. Unlike him, Buhari and the Cabal dictating moves in his ears have made strategic plans to ensure they stay in power beyond 2019. Someone who cannot readily tell the difference between presidential, senatorial and gubernatorial candidates. You sound very stupid right now with your gibberish. Salami was President of Court of Appeal and not the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), and I'm not from the SE. |
It's outright disregard for separation of power. They aren't even bothering to hide their determination to oust the CJN before he appoints tribunal judges. Suspend the CJN who wouldn't bend to your wishes, and put Buhari's kin who would then install judges who would in turn rape justice after APC rigs the election and the results are contested. In saner climes, this ought to spark a revolution. I swear down, GEJ was a better man and a better Nigerian than this senile illiterate tyrant. It's unfortunate the majority of Nigerians are cowardly and either shortsighted or plain stupid. Shame on all of you that have sold your consciences and the future of Nigeria. |
Some really plastic fans here sha. All these rotations and experimenting you guys are complaining about, you'd see the wisdom in some months/seasons. We would not always have Messi with us. Someday, he'd hang his boots for good. If we cannot play games without him now, is it when he leaves that we'd be able to play? For those that cannot see the big picture, some titles are more important than others. We have been more consistent than Real in the past 10 seasons, but no one cares because they have won 3 UCL titles in a row. Also, Messi has been underrated a lot in recent times because of this. We got knocked out of the UCL last season because no one could step up when Messi suffered fatigue from saving our asses throughout the season. Yet you guys want him to play every fvcking game until he gets tired and we crash out of the UCL again. Then you'd come to complain again. |
iyke926:worse? Really? Messi was handed a suspended sentence and a €2m fine. Ronaldo was adjudged to have held more back. They just don't want Ronaldo to go to jail that's why they made it 23 months on the dot. |
Anyone that is fooled a second time is a disgrace to their unborn children. This man that doesn't fucking know what an aspirant for the office of governor is called. A Nigerian who wants to get a N50k job would have to present all manner of certificates, pass through interviews and tests, but we gave the biggest job in Nigeria to a senile illiterate, and some are thinking of doing it again |
ollah2:Munir is with Sevilla now. Mehn, I don't understand the board sometimes o. Especially the way they sell cheap and buy expensive. |
Op just wan open thread. |
MJBOLT:I'm shocked too, but don't write him off just yet. |
Isiterere:hahaha... Agreed ![]() |
philfearon:everyone faces rough patches at times. He needs to improve and he will. I hope everyone now writing him off would admit they were wrong when he starts dazzling again. I know a few Barca fans who slandered Dembele as often as they could, and now they are praising him like they never said nasty things about him. Someone on this thread even said we should sell Dembele and get Rashford . |
haymekus:you guys should take it easy jor. Dembele struggled worse than this at some point, looking lost at times making questionable decisions and losing the ball too frequently. But we can see the improvement now. Coutinho is still a gem, just not sparkling as he should at the moment. |

Justice for the poor or the rich? People who Steal bilions have a special law that backs them but the one's who Steal Maggi rot in jail because they can't manover their way to buy the juducial system.. I know you're from South or South East. Or a pdp supporter. You're not ignorant but just blinded by ethnicity, religion or because you're partisan.
