Ingrate brothers? You see, thats the problem we are talking about. So Pharmacists should be grateful to doctors for allowing them to earn wages? You guys are pathetic. it wont always remain this way, that i know.

am sure u saw d uploaded table and also the part I said Doctors r bn short changed compared to what d other guys r earning in d hospital and d nature of work each side does.as a medical Doctor for each contact a patient HV with other professionals, he/she must HV had contact with Doctor. for example a patient that HV minor illness like say uncomplicated urinary tract infection.first contact in d hospital is either to go to the record person to obtain folder for the Doctor to see the patient. Thats likely going to be d on contact of the patien with the Record person. Doctor try to take a brief/elaborate history as d case may be from the patient.u examine the patient.u now send d patient to go run some test in d laboratory say urine M/c/s , urinalysis and possibly test to rule out other disease entity that may give the patient same symptom.that is likely d only contact the patient is going to have with d laboratory guys. He obtain d laboratory result and still com back and meet his Doctor, u now take a decision and write prescriptions for the patient to go see a pharmacist to get his or her drugs and probably get an explanation too from d pharmacist on how to use it(probably the only contact the patient is still going to have with the pharmacist).some funny patient still get d drug and come back to meet d Doctor for another round of explanations. The same patient still book an appointment with the Doctor for followup visitation may be after few days for the Doctor to know about the patient well being.if na complicated case that Will require admission, thats wr a Nurse comes in. u can see the work is quite more demanding for the Doctors. No body is saying u guys are not important. Everyone is important in his own chosen field.so even if we all had spent the same 5 year in school u can't still expect us to earn the same thing becos of the nature of job each side does.
Era of monkey dey work more and baboon dey/wan chop more no go dey possible again.na governmt employ all of us.u ppl are asking for 20% increment and by so doing we end up getting almost d same salary despite the different work load.we r telling the same government to also increase our own by 20% for salary relativity to be maintained. Shikena.all of us be government pikin.lol.i rest my case.weldone brother..
Lastly i think everybody should be proud of his or her chosen career.this i like about the whites.Instead of a lab scientist or a technician to hang stethoscope and be parading himself as "Doctor of diagnosis". Lol

Am a female. I think they just want the government to increase their salary because of the high cost of living at least a top up .

oh sorry.tot u r a guy.NMA is not against salary increment for them.we also want our own share of the increment.so that we won't end up receiving the same cash and doing a more demanding work than them.infact every worker in ds our country deserve a 50% salary increment

I don't think dr is any thing like victimization here.lets jus educate each oda.first dr is this thing dey call salary relativity.nma discovered that relativity is what ds guys r trying to abolish stylishly. Dey wait for nma to go negotiate, they in turn go behind close door to go negotiate too and nma discover that after negotiation dr is always pay parity between a Doctor and oda guys instead of the usual relativity WC should be 2:3:4 ( nurse:pharmacist/lab guys and other bsc holders: doctor) meaning if a nurse is to earn 80k (due to her nature of work which is base on shift and she also enjoy 12 to 15 free days in a month) , a pharmacist is to earn 120k and a Doctor to earn 160k .this is what relativity is all about.in advance clime, the relativity is 1:2:3 I think(I stand to be corrected). So u can see Nigeria kinda relativity favours them than Doctors originally. What this guys r now asking for from the government is for them to be stepped up by 20% in such a way that the pharmacist and others earning around 120k will now turn to around 150k(WC is what we theDoctor termed pay parity).please judge for urself .will it be fair on the Doctors whose work in d hospital is more demanding than ds other professionals. So NMA is now trying to remind the FG to also remember us when they are implementing the 20% increment for others (this is what johesu guys so don't want).u can see bro.by the time u start hearing people saying things like dey all went to d same university that dey dont see why dr should be salary difference.please tell me is dis not parity dis guys want.it is also worthy of note to let ppl know that mbbs degree is a combination of 2 bachelor degrees (medicine and surgery degree together- no pride intended.smiles).so our brothers with Bachelor in dr various field of study know how difficult it is to achieve that bachelor degree let alone someone/Doctors DAT had to be patient to obtain 2 of such bachelor degrees. it is important we educate dem that all are not the same certificate even though we all went to same university.bro am waiting for ur reply

I'm speaking on behalf of Nurses. We're so underrated in Nigeria. That's why Nigeria is losing its best nurses to UK, US, Canada and Australia

smiles. Please tell us the salary relativity ratio for Doctor/nurses(diploma)/Nurses (Bsc.)/pharmacist and others in UK/US/Canada and Australia u are talking about.compared to what a Doctor is earning in Nigeria now, nurses(diploma)/ nurses(B.sc)/pharmacist/lab scientists and others with Bsc. own I think is fair too. U and i know even an administrator in the hospital under FG earn more than his /her colleagues outside the hospital despite doing the same work and also under FG payroll.But I can say both Doctor and Nurses are earning far below what our colleagues in those countries u mentioned are earning. So NMA is telling FG to remember us too o if u r going to increase JOHESU member salary by 20% so that by that increment we will not start earning the same thing or almost the same thing when the job description is far more different. So we are not against ur salary increment but U guys should not forget our own 20% too so that we will not end up striking too when u guys resume. Am sure u guy don't want FG to gv us that same 20% meaning we r going to be earning almost same thing by u guys logic/calculations.una think say una smart.

so cleaner are not part of johesu now. Why are u denying cleaners when they needed u guys most.tot u guys said 95% of the staffs in the hospital r johesu(cleaners inclusive too) and d remaining 5% bn doctors.in my centre, that was how dey deceived ward attendants/cleaners to join them in d strike.by the time FG applied no work no pay principle for them hunger drove dos cleaners back to work.lol

a registered nurse of over 20 years experience who is a specialist in say oncology should earn much more than a fresh medical graduate.

Moreover before government sign any agreement with JOHESU, government should include licenses and examinations every two years for all JOHESU members. No exam no license, no license no job and no salary review.

sure a nurse with such experience u quoted surely earn more than a fresh MBBS graduate. I think d current relativity for health workers in Nigeria is 2:3:4 that's is if a nurse with ND certificate not Bsc earns 60k what d relativity is all about is that a nurse with Bsc, a pharmacist and other guys in the hospital with Bsc is expected to earn 90k and an MBBS holder that is a Doctor is expected to earn 120k .I think its fair enough in ds country cos in other countries like say US or UK its 1:2:3 relativity.I stand to be corrected anyway .that is if govt is going to increase salary for JOHESU guys d govt shouldn't forget relativity and dats what ds NMA memo is all about.that is NMA is also expecting d govt to increase theirs too.base on the relativity arrangement already on ground. I think all we need in ds country is jus to have understanding among ourselves.or else we all are going to suffer d consequences of all ds strikes.I have seen when casala happened, the person striking was like saying please forget ds strike and help me becos of God.May God help us

kebbi is known for that sir.education especially university education is free there.the problem with some of d indegenes is that dey don't like education. I could still remember wn he came visiting in my ppa.when he was addressing the corp members in the hospital,he was soliciting if we could design any program so as to enable the indigenes of the state to value education
