baba hahaha hahaha.have bn waiting to hear from him.opposition no easy ooo.let dm leave with it.time for them to know how we felt as opposition then midolian: FORMER Federal Commissioner for Information and South South leader, Chief Edwin Clark yesterday condemned in very strong terms, the presentation of Certificate of Commendation by the President of the United States of America, President Barrack Obama to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega.
Speaking to Journalists yesterday in Abuja, Chief Clark stressed that the presentation of a ‘Certificate of Commendation’ to Jega over the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections March 28th, 2015 with the Governorship and State Houses of Assembly polls yet to be conducted was too hasty,
Clark who urged the US to leave Nigeria alone, said that Nigeria remains an independent country capable of doing its things, its own way and not according to the dictates of the western world, adding, ” I was surprised that Barack Obama gave Professor Attahiru Jega an award when the elections are still on . Obama should be tactful in handling the affairs of Africa. US should leave us alone, Nigeria is an Independent country. They tried it Egypt, they should not try anything in Nigeria,
President Obama who presented the certificate to Jega, would be recalled was represented by the United States Ambassador to Nigeria, James Entwistle.
The ‘Certificate of Commendation’ was awarded to Jega for his outstanding and sterling performance in conducting a credible election. Obama said what Prof. Jega has done should be replicated by all.

everyone sha wan chop from buhari . lalasticlala: Eight political parties in Kwara, under the aegis of Congress of Nigeria’s Political Party (CNPP) have declared their support for the re-election of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed.
Alhaji Adebayo Lawal, CNPP Chairman in Kwara, told journalists at a news conference on Monday in Ilorin, that the political parties have resolved to garner votes for Gov. Ahmed.
Lawal listed the political parties as Action Alliance (AA), Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA), United Progressives Party (UNPP) and Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Others are United Democratic Party (UNP), Citizen Popular Party (CPP), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and African Congress of Democrats (ACD).
Lawal, State Chairman of AA, was joined by the governorship candidates of the other political parties to declare their support for the APC in the forth coming elections.
He said the support of the CNPP for the APC candidate was informed by the outcome of the March 28 Presidential and National Assembly polls in which APC emerged victorious.
“It is no longer news that Gen. Muhammadu Buhari won the general elections held on Saturday March 28.
“The incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan had taken courageous decision to congratulate him hours before INEC declared Buhari the winner,” Lawal said.
He described APC and its candidates as those to beat in the coming elections by virtue of trend of the previous ones.
Lawal said the CNPP was taking the step in order to be in the mainstream of the nation’s politics by ensuring that Gov. Ahmed of the APC was re-elected.

Thank u prof jega for given us free n fair election. No longer business as usual.am loving Nigeria democracy sulenuhu4gidi: Sensing that the battle for Lagos State governorship seat on Saturday may not be a tea party for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Daily Sun has gathered that the party has finalized arrangements to bring in the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari and the Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, for a grand rally this week in support of their party’s candidate, Mr. Akinmwumi Ambode.
The APC was said not to be comfortable with the result of the presidential poll held on March 28, where it polled 792,460 votes against 632,327 votes polled by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the situation that had emboldend the PDP to dream victory on Saturday with just a little more effort.
Buhari’s presence at the rally, Daily Sun learnt, would serve as morale booster to the APC in the state because of the inherent benefit in having a link with the centre, while Aregbesola’s involvement, according to a reliable source, was borne out of his being a unique grassroots mobiliser and an unrivalled entertaining campaigner.
The duo of Buhari and Aregbesola are being dragged to Lagos to complement the campaign powerhouse of the party’s National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, whose achievements in the state are viewed as legendary.
However, the leadership of the PDP in the state appears battle-ready as one of their national leaders, Chief Olabode George, was said to have vowed to campaign with the last drop of his blood to win the state for his party, insisting that his party’s candidate in the election, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, was a sellable material any day.
Against this background, Daily Sun gathered that all the combatants in the two parties were not leaving any stone unturned as they had intensified efforts towards wooing the eligible voters in the state to vote for their respective candidates.
Consequently, their open rallies, nocturnal campaigns and house-to-house contacts are now targeted at market men and women, artisans, non-indigenes, ethnic groups, social and political associations, student unions, Okada and tricycle riders associations and road transport workers as well as various professionals across the state. |
