;Dtransformation agenda in action Jarus: To think I was on the website of these guys during the week searching for flight for Mrs Jarus on her just-returned trip to Ilorin....and had her to settle for road because the time for departure (7.00am) was too early for a nursing mother coming to Ikeja from Ajah of all places. I pray there are no casualties here..
I have always had my concerns about those small, badly maintained planes used for low-traffic routes in Nigeria (Akure, Ilorin, Yola etc). I boarded one old, rickety aircraft from Lagos to Ilorin few years ago and the sound was like that of Okada. |

PatrykUtulu: DR. NGOZI *JULIET *OLEJEME Delta State Gubernatorial Aspirant -Attorney Patryk Utulu
MEET DELTA STATE GUBERNATORIAL ASPIRANT, DR. (MRS.) NGOZI JULIET OLEJEME: Equal Opportunity Advocate. Experienced Leader. Job Creator. Consensus Builder! Compassionate Reformer!
Delta State is rich in natural resources: Agriculture. Crude oil. Solid minerals. Educated workforce. Diverse ethnicity. The state's ethnic groups consist of: (1) ANIOMA IGBOS, subdivided into Enuani [Aniocha/Oshimili], Ukwuani [Ndokwa] and the Twelve Clans of Ika; (2) URHOBO; (3) ITSEKIRI; (4) ISOKO; and (5) EZON. The state is politically designated as South-South. Seven major languages are spoken in Delta State, which also has twenty-five Local Government Areas, and three senatorial districts: Delta North, Delta South and Delta Central. Notably, Delta State has twelve (12) Institutions of Higher Education.
Diversity requires elasticity of leadership. A diverse state needs a tough but tolerant leadership style. Diversity thrives on calm and consensus-building leadership. Delta must have a governor who can lead without being loud.
MEET DR. NGOZI JULIET OLEJEME!!!
You can sum up Dr. Olejeme in 3 phrases: proven public service, calm confident leadership and enduring human empathy. She has a well-earned reputation for unfailingly improving peoples’ lives. Here are verifiable facts:
(1): SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEUR – Dr Olejeme is an expert at creating jobs, and creating business opportunities and practical community empowerment projects from the ground up. Her community projects operate on a traditional African motto: Simple. Safe. Sustainable. She has designed her poverty reduction projects to demonstrate her belief that vocational and skill-acquisition training enhances youths’ ability to find steady employment. (2): EXPERIENCED ADMINISTRATOR – Dr. Olejeme is a tested public administrator who has led many large organizations, as well as restructured and revitalized under-performing parastatals. Her competencies have led to appointments to board membership of both private firms and governmental organizations, including to that of Board Chairman, Subsidy Re-Investment Program (SURE-P). (3): PRACTICAL PHILANTHROPIST -- The Ngozi Olejeme Foundation donates generously to create projects to empower disadvantaged populations. The Widowhood Project addresses social cultural challenges facing widows by empowering them and other underprivileged women with skills and grants for trade. It is on public record that recently, The Ngozi Olejeme Foundation donated cash prizes to 200 widows in Asaba, Delta State, to enable them go into any business of their choosing.
SUPPORT DR. NGOZI JULIET OLEJEME!!!
Though her platform is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) her appeal cuts across political, ethnic, and socio-economic groups. It is noteworthy that, in 2009, President Musa Yar’Adua appointed her Board Chairman, Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF). HERE IS WHAT WE FOUND EVEN MORE IMPRESSIVE: While some candidates have flooded the airwaves with flashy advertisements of self-glorification, Dr. Olejeme has been visiting – without fanfare or entourage – all corners of Delta State, from crowded cities to little towns to remote fishing villages to see Deltans first-hand, and to familiarize and re-acquaint herself with the people she will govern should she get the mandate.
VOTE FOR DR. OLEJEME FOR GOVERNOR OF DELTA STATE!!!
In addition to her tough but tolerant leadership style Dr. Olejeme has shown a unique foresight and visionary leadership on Delta's (Nigeria's) inevitable structural economic diversification from almost exclusive reliance on crude oil to AGRICULTURE. Thanks for reading this intro. Next we will discuss Dr. Olejeme's remarkable back-to-Agriculture policy and practical job creation schemes.

Politics › Re: Crude Oil Exports To US Down By 93% by ozo13(m): 6:32am On Nov 25, 2014 |
kmariko: THE United States’ import of crude oil from Nigeria and Algeria have declined by 93 per cent since 2010, the U.S Energy Information Administration (IEA), has said. Meanwhile, Nigeria’s oil production may have recorded a major setback, as the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) shut its Trans-Niger Pipeline (TNP), which supplies products to the Bonny export terminal. The IEA in a media statement Monday, said total U.S. crude oil imports have declined since 2010, with nearly the entire decline occurring in light sweet grades. Indeed, the U.S did not import crude oil from Nigeria in the month of July and August this year. The U.S. has been steadily cutting oil imports from Nigeria because of U.S. shale oil production, which is low in sulphur and otherwise called “light, sweet,” similar to Nigeria’s “Bonny Light” oil. This resulted to the decline in the country’s crude oil export. For example, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) put Nigeria’s crude oil export in May this year at 1.88mbp; June, 1.71mbd and 1.61mbp in July. It noted that through August 2014, U.S. light crude imports have fallen 71 per cent compared to the level in 2010. It noted that the U.S. net crude oil imports in 2013 declined 10.2 per cent to 7.6 million barrels per day (bblpd), the lowest level since 1996, as rising domestic crude oil production cut into the volume of imports needed to meet refinery demand for crude oil. Confirming the TNP shut-in yesterday, the oil multinational, said the pipeline that carries the Bonny light was shut after it discovered a leak on Saturday. This is coming as the nation prepares for the possible effects of dwindling crude oil prices at the international market. As at yesterday, the oil prices stood at $75.42 per barrel, according to the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). The pipeline carries one of Nigeria’s main export grades, Bonny Light. About six cargoes of the crude are exported monthly, equivalent of about 180,000 to 200,000 barrels per day. “SPDC is investigating the source of a leak at Okolo Launch in Eastern Niger Delta which occurred near the 24-inch and the 28-inch TNP (Trans-Niger Pipeline),” shell said in an e-mail statement to Reuters. “The leak occurred near where one of our contractors was preparing to remove crude theft connections on the line. On noticing the leak on November 22, we deployed booms and also shut in the 28-inch TNP.” The 24-inch pipeline has been shut since Oct. 18 last year for repair and integrity checks, the spokesman added. Meanwhile, Nigeria is estimated to have exported 70.14 million barrels of oil including condensate in August, or an average 2.26 million barrels per day (bpd), which was 12.4 per cent higher month on month. Data from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), also established that Europe remained the biggest destination of Nigerian crude, with the United States accounting for 30,779 bpd as against zero in July. “Four regions, namely Europe, South America, Asia and Africa, remain the major destinations of Nigerian crude and condensate export,” NNPC said. Oil production rose 6.8 per cent in August on month on month to 2.20 million bpd. For the second month running, ExxonMobil was assessed the biggest producer, accounting for or 435,644 bpd, followed by Anglo/Dutch Shell with 255,049 bpd. According to the corporation, gas production stood at 226.26 billion cubic feet, while the amount of gas flaring from the oil fields rose to 17.3 per cent of total production, compared with 13.1 per cent in July. Nigeria’s four refineries operated at an average of 16 per cent of their combined nameplate capacity of 445,000 bpd in August, down from 22 per cent in July.

Politics › Re: PDP Senators Begin Jonathan’simpeachment Move by ozo13(m): 6:18am On Nov 25, 2014 |
haffaze777: Some Peoples Democratic Party’s senators on Monday started impeachment moves against President Goodluck Jonathan over what they described as the high level of impunity and corruption allegedly being condoned by his administration. Investigations by our correspondent revealed that the PDP senators had started compiling impeachable offences against the President. An All Progressives Congress member of the Senate, who confided the development in our correspondent on the condition of anonymity, explained that his aggrieved PDP colleagues in the upper chamber had started reaching out to the opposition senators. He said, “I was personally consulted this evening over the issue and I also cross-checked from my colleagues who also told me that they had been contacted. “The grouse of the lawmakers, according to the person that contacted me, was that Jonathan’s handling of the last week Thursday’s invasion of the National Assembly by the police was carelessly handled by the Jonathan administration. “From the look of things, the proceedings will start on Tuesday because some signatures had been collected already.” Another senator from the PDP, who also craved anonymity, also confirmed the development to our correspondent stating that it was certain that the President was not capable of superintending over a free and fair election in 2015. He said, “Our President is not in charge. We have seen that he had allowed the governors to hijack powers from him. He is just like a puppet and the earlier we act fast, the better for us.” Meanwhile, opposition members in the Senate have threatened to raise the issue of the last Thursday’s invasion of the National Assembly by the security operatives, when the Senate resumes plenary today (Tuesday). The spokesperson for the group, who is also the member representing Ekiti Central on the platform of the APC, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, gave the hint in a telephone interview with our correspondent in Abuja. Ojudu said his colleagues were very annoyed with the ways they were maltreated and molested by the policemen, who were deployed in the National Assembly on the orders of the Inspector – General of Police. He said majority of his members were of the opinion that the IGP should not be allowed to enter into the chambers, but should be asked to resign for allegedly ridiculing the federal lawmakers who had done nothing wrong other than going to carry out their lawful legislative activities. He said, “We (APC Senators) are holding a crucial meeting this (Monday) night to take a final decision on the matter because majority of us are really angry. Some are even of the opinion that we should demand the resignation or sacking of the IGP. “I can assure you that the issue of the National Assembly invasion by the police would be raised when we resume sitting tomorrow (Tuesday ), but we are going to take a single position on the matter at our meeting tonight,” he added. However, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Information, Media and Public Affairs, Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe, had in an interview with our correspondent, on Saturday, maintained that the Senate would not be thrown into any chaotic situation over the Thursday’s invasion of the National Assembly complex by security operatives. He had admitted that the IGP would appear before the Senate but assured the public that the matter would be handled with maturity. He had said, “The Senate will discuss the invasion of the National Assembly by security operatives when it reconvenes on Tuesday. Already we have invited the Inspector – General of Police to find out who gave the order for the harassment of federal lawmakers last Thursday. “So, I do not anticipate any form of stormy session during our sitting next Tuesday. I can assure you that the Senate is made up of gentlemen and women who are very senior citizens of the Nigerian society. “Therefore, you cannot expect the Senate to act, except in a decorous manner.” Abaribe also said that the Senate would still go ahead with deliberations on the emergency rule in the three north-eastern states of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe contrary to insinuations that the matter had ended since the period of emergency had lapsed. He said, “We had invited the service chiefs and we will find out from them, the update on the insurgency situation in the north-eastern states of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe so that we can address the issue of the state of emergency requested by President Goodluck Jonathan.” can't believe it |

Ishilove: It appears super[sub][/sub] star, D’banj is having financial challenges as available report shows he has been hit with a $240,000 debt scandal.
A technology company, MindHub Technologies, headed by a top oil and gas industry player, Henry Ojogho, is claiming that the kokomaster, D’banj is owing the company the sum of $240,000 and another N15, 000,000.
According to the MindHub Technologies, D’banj, through his company, DKM Media Limited, obtained a loan of over N60m from them in January, 2013 and has not paid back the said sum despite signing an undertaking to do so.
In addition, the technology company claimed that the entertainer has issued two cheques already; one on December 20, 2013 and another on January 20, 2014, both of which had to be returned unpaid after presentation because the pop star’ accounts were not funded enough.
According to documents obtained by NET, a firm of attorneys, D.U.ODIGIE & CO acting on behalf of Henry Ojogho, in a letter addressed to D’Banj, wrote:
'‘Following the default by D KINGS MEDIA LIMITED to pay the debt to our client, and pursuant to the aforementioned personal Guarantee/Memorandum of Undertaking, you issued two post-dated cheques; one for the sum of $240,000,000 (Two Hundred and Forty Thousand United States Dollars Only) dated 20/12/2013, and the other for the sum of N15,000,000,00k (Fifteen Million Naira Only) dated 20/1/2014.
Both cheques were returned unpaid on presentation by our client. We are further informed that although you thereafter paid the sum of N8, 600,00.00K (Eight Million, Six Hundred Thousand Naira Only) out of the N15,000,000,00k (Fifteen Million Naira Only) (in) Cheque, leaving a balance sum of N6,400.000.00k (Six Million, Four Hundred Thousand Naira Only), you have failed, neglected or refused to redeem the entire or any part of the $240,000.00 (Two Hundred and Forty Thousand United State Dollars) cheque.'’
https://dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/dbanj-bill-gates-300x194.png?3458e9
It has further been revealed that Henry Ojogho is not the only wealthy man claiming D’banj owes him in recent times. There are a number of others.
'‘Using the sympathy and naivety of unsuspecting investors coming into the game to dupe them is criminal and absolutely destroying the image of the industry at large, because in the long run, it affects and corrupts the judgment of genuine investors who would pull out for fear of being duped,'’ a source told NET.
Below is are a number of names he allegedly owes, according to sources:
WALTER WAGBATSOMA (200,000 Pounds) Mr Walter is a billionaire with investments in major areas, ranging from oil and gas to real estate, banking, equities and even insurance. He is the founder and executive Vice Chairman of Ontario Oil and he’s one of the first men who were said to have handed money to D’banj, with a whopping sum of 200,000 Pounds said to be involved.
PRINCE D. OKONKWO ($200,000) He’s the chairman, Board of Directors of Tetrazini Group of Companies and he is said to have given about $200,000 to D’banj in the name of investing in entertainment. When the issue with Prince Okonkwo got out of hand, D’banj was said to have sought help from Dapo Abiodun, boss of Heyden Oil and Gas who helped him take care of the debt through a repayment plan.
