Tot ameachi said he z not owing any salary.wike if u hv any evidence please go to court...u think nigeria students hv forgiven u abi. author=yougos post=29204932] Rivers govt debunks allegation … As PDP picks woman deputy governorship candidate From TONY JOHN, Port Harcourt Former Minister of State for Education and Rivers State governorship flag bearer of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nyesom Wike, has accused Governor Chibuike Amaechi of spending a whopping N30 billion on General Muhammadu Buhari campaign to be All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate. Besides, he said Amaechi was deceived by the leadership of the APC to spend the state fund on Buhari, in the hope that he would be chosen as the vice presidential candidate. He attributed the alleged non-payment of salaries of civil servants in the state to the funding of the party by the governor. Wike stated this yesterday at a “thank-you” visit to the people of Ikwerre held in Omagwa, Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state. He said: “Do you know why workers’ salaries have not been paid? Amaechi spent N30 billion in funding the presidential campaign of the APC. They allowed him to spend the money and later, they called him mugu. “They said we would not make this ‘boy’ who does not respect the president (Jonathan) the vice president. We should know that our future is in the PDP and not the APC.” But, the state government, through the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mrs. Ibim Semenitari, has debunked the allegation of Amaechi funding Buhari. She described the claim as baseless and false, saying Wike should provide proof to back his statement. Semenitari stated: “It is unbelievable that a man who wants to be the governor of this state can make such an unbelievable statement without any proof. “We challenge him (Wike) to show proof that Governor Amaechi spent N30 billion to fund APC campaign. “There are some things that are unbelievable. With what President Jonathan is giving us, N30 billion is three months allocation. Is that what he (Wike) is saying that we used for primary? Rivers State Government will not dignify such unintelligent talk with responses. We will not respond to unintelligent talk; we will not react to stupid conjecturing.” Wike, while expressing gratitude to Ikwerre people for endorsing him to run for the gubernatorial slot, disclosed that the PDP had chosen a woman to be his running mate, adding that she would be unveiled on Tuesday. He urged Ikwerre people to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan, saying APC was not the hope of Nigerians. He said: “We are getting women involved in decision making of the state. The campaign is now for women to take to the next level. We have gone beyond the stage of just sharing wrapper to women as empowerment. This is a new era in Rivers State. The fate of Rivers people does not lie in the opposition APC. We are for the PDP all the way” The governorship flag bearer stated that the legacies Governor Amaechi-led government had bequeathed to Rivers people were closure of the judiciary, House of Assembly, monorail and the N50 bilion Karibi-Whyte Hospital. Wike promised the people that, if voted as governor in 2015, he would review the economic value of their lands acquired by the state government for the Greater Port Harcourt City (GPH) project. He urged the people to remain vigilant, alleging that APC was sewing fake police uniforms in an attempt to rig the 2015 elections. Wike charged the people to resist any attempt to compromise the electoral process by the APC. A PDP chieftain in Ikwerre Local Government Area, Ernest Wosu, regretted that Amaechi failed the people, hence the decision to support a politician with a pedigree. http://sunnewsonline.com/new/?p=97090
|

all this trash wey u write.sorry na only two likes u get. Cybertooth: 22 REASONS WHY BUHARI CAN NEVER RULE NIGERIA Originally By: Kekere ekun and Co. In my books, Buhari is a pretentious anti- corruption fighter. The trajectory of a man's journey in public life matters. For the follwoing reasons I can not vote for Buhari 1. He is an oligarch who does not believe in equality before the law. The way he jailed Lateef Jakande, Jim Nwobodo, Ambrose Ali, Pa Adekunle Ajasin, Chief Ayo Ojewumi on cases that had no foundation and allowed Awwal Ibrahim, the then Niger State governor, who was arrested in Heathrow Airport in London with 14 million pounds sterling and several millions of Niara and dollars to be under house arrest is my evidence. He also allowed Shehu Kangiwa, Sokoto State Governor who conducted and supervised the famous Bakolori Massacre of poor peasant farmers whose land were appropriated without compesation to remain under house arrest. 1(a) Ayo Ojewumi became blind as a result of his imprisonment over false charges and died shortly after. 1 (b) Prof. Ambrose Alli also became blind as a result of this false imprisonment. When he died, he had only one undeveloped plot of land to his name. 1© Pa Adekule Ajasin was never the same after his eventual release and remained sickly for the rest of his life. Whe he died, he never had any property anywhere in the world except the one he had built from his sweat as long term teacher and school principal in Owo township. 2. He put in place a retroactive law that killed three men, innocent men in my book, by public execution. He left untouched an alleged well known drug baron in Ibrahim Babangida who later overthrew his government. 3. He jailed Ndukar Irabor and Tunde Thompson of the Guardian on stories that were factually true under Decree 4. He had told the Nigerian journalists then that it did not matter whether the story reported was true or not, if his regime did not like it, the writer would go to jail. 4. He supervised the smuggling of 53 suitcases filled with cash througth the MMA against the protests of General Tunde Idiagbon and ironically, Abubakar Atiku, the then Director General of the Customs who later became the Vice President and a compromised politician himself. This smuggling of the suit cases were supervised by his ADC, Col. Mustapha Jokolo. 5. He jailed Fela Anikulapo -Kuti on trumped up charges under emergency law which prompted the sentencing judge to confess that he was ordered to do so and apologised to the late musician. It was Buhari's administration that said it has "decided to deal with this Fela problem once and for all." 6. He convinced all the northern political leaders against allowing the National Identity Card program because according to him, this would unravel the myth of Northern population majority 7. He is an Islamic fundamentalist, the Bin Laden of Nigeria, who told his northern followers never to vote for anyone who was not a muslim. 8. He is a coup plotter. 9. He has never been able to account to Nigerians what he did with the 20 billion Naira of the Petroleum Trust Fund of which he was the chairman under Sani Abacha. 9(a) He has not been able to point to any project that he prosecuted outside the Northern Nigeria with the so-caled trust fund. 10. He was in full support of all the atrocities of Sani Abacha against the Nigerian people. There is no single record of his criticism of Sani Abacha during those dark days when Nigeria was on precipice. It shows that he is a patriot of convenience and as such unfit to lead the country. 11. Buhari, as part of his tribalistic practices placed President Shagari under house arrest inside a palatia mansion in Ikoyi while he locked up Shagari's Vice, Alex Ekwueme in Kirikiri Prison. Shagari is Hausa/Fulani like him while Alex Ekwueme is an Igboman. 12. Ikemba Emeka Ojukwu, another Igboman who returned from 13years exile just a little over a year then was as well locked up in Kiri Kiri Prison by meanhearted Buhari.Up till today we are not told what was Emeka's offence. 13. Busari Adelakun died of ulcer because Buhari refused him to be taken out of prison for immediate medical attention. The then Governor of Ogun State,Bisi Onabanjo suffered similar fate which we were told led to his untimely death. 14. Buhari ransacked the house of our late sage, Obafemi Awolowo and confisticated his International passport. Which civilized democratic society would elect the likes of Buhari as President, the same individual who overthrew an elected President? Never! 15. Plus Buhari having Sam Mbakwe in jail, went for one of Mbakwe's wives. He established himself again for what he was/is letting Mbakwe receive in jailhouse news of the death of another of Mbakwe's two wives. One (I can't remember his name now; Odenigbo?) also died in jail. 16. Buhari's henchman and sponsor, CPC governorship candidate for Kano State, is Mohammed Abacha, the same person that had/ran a personal killing squad, co ordinated the killing of Kudirat Abiola & attempted to kill Ibru; and also stashed money in underground tanks, all less than 13 years ago, Nigerians have very short selective memory. Shame! 17. Buhari discriminated against persons from other ethnic groups/faiths; and that as PTF Chairman, he employed an overwhelming number of Fulani/Hausa/ Moslem people at the detriment of other groups and concentrated PTF projects in the North. If in doubt read El Rufai's testimony where he wrote about Katsina boys who used the money they made at PTF to bankroll Yar'Adua's election in 1999. 18. Buhari is unforgiven. When he "took over" by coup in 1983, even remembered an article written a very very long time ago by Bisi Onabanjo ('The Mallams are coming') and a later one in which Onabanjo wrote that people should watch out for that "gangly officer from the north" after Buhari gave a no holds barred speech at some Army function where he was reported to be very openly pro Fulani and pro Islam to the exclusive of all else and also talked about termination of democratic rule. For that, Onabanjo got one of the harshest jail terms and treatments. 19. Buhari intolerance is worse than Obasanjo's. When he was adopted as the ANPP's candidate on the night of the party's Primaries without prior warning to the other candidates and a few of them protested, Buhari got up and made a speech that those people must be disciplined. I subsequently saw him on BBC's "hard talk" and he frightened me and the interviewer with his archaic and fundamentalist intolerant views. His understanding and articulation is very much in doubt. 20. The evil genius, IBB and his crew similarly ran rings around Buhari. On the 10th anniversary of Abacha's demise, Buhari said that Abacha stole nothing from Nigeria! Despite millions of Dollars recovered from banks around the world and the Abacha family signing a formal agreement to return over $1 billion dollars, Buhari still said that Abacha's stealing remains an unproved allegation!!!! Why? Because Abacha set Buhari up like an emperor and let him use oil money from the Niger Delta to develop the North without supervision or questions. 21. Buhari snubbed the same Nigerians he now wants their votes by refusing to appear before Justice Oputa Truth and Reconciliation Panel. Despite the fact that Buhari knew how inportant reconciliation is to the stability of democracy. Buhari has never apologised at anytime. 22. Buhari executed Lawal Ojuolape (30), Bernard Ogedengbe (29) and Bartholomew Owoh (26). To put it quite plainly, one of those three – Ogedengbe - was executed for a crime that did not carry a capital forfeit at the time it was committed. and At the time Ogedengbe committed the crime it did not carry that punishment. If we must live as civilised citizens we must go by the rules. Article 11.2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights reads: "No one shall be held guilty of any penal offence on account of any act or omission WHICH DID NOT CONSTITUTE A PENAL OFFENCE, under national or international law at the time when it was committed. NOR SHALL A HEAVIER PUNISHMENT BE IMPOSED THAN THE ONE THAT WAS APPLICABLE AT THE TIME THE PENAL OFFENCE WAS COMMITTED. Killing people with retroactive laws is not the civilised thing to do - and for as long as we will have people who refuse to see the truth only because their heroes are inching to rule when they have not purged themselves we will continue to wallow in misery. If Nigerians reward dangerous, insensitive, dishonest, mean, cruel, partial, egoistic, religious, fundamendalist, conscienceless human being like MOHAMMADU BUHARI with the presidency of Nigeria with his kind of track record, then why do we still wonder why Nigeria has not and will not make it? I can not in good conscience support Buhari's candidacy on the above grounds. I wish we have intelligent people who know what democracy means. I wish we have civilized minds. However, I am 100 percent sure that Buhari will never again rule Nigeria. For the good of Nigeria, vote any other candidate, but SAY NO TO BUHARI!!! |

Utomi said just like Jonathan, Obasanjo also entertained gossips from those around him. In a Facebook post on Thursday, titled ‘Obasanjo and the Burden of History, Utomi noted that he was erroneously rumoured to be a member of the Alliance for Democracy during Obasanjo’s administration. The post read in parts, “Obasanjo’s duty as a statesman is negatively affected by a tradition of lack of charity in dealing with others, which today makes it easy for people who should recognise truth when it comes from him dismiss him as acting in character without charity. “I had the pleasure of being part, indeed, head of the policy advisory team that worked with candidate Obasanjo in 1998. As President, he lapped up all kinds of gossips stemming from my critical views on matters. “Obasanjo is not wrong in his accusing Jonathan on the quality of people around him for gossiping. The irony is he is guilty of same.” The foremost economist pointed out that only a few men in Nigeria had been given easy passage to immortality by circumstances as Obasanjo. Utomi, added that, “His lack of charity manages to be a flaw that seems determined to consign him to a sad footnote in history. “Still, this does not mean his voice should be ignored. In his moments, he speaks great truth to power and he understands Nigeria better than most. He should not be ignored.” http://www.punchng.com/news/obasanjo-entertained-gossips-like-jonathan-utomi/
Politics › Re: Enough Of The Excuses, Resign If You Cannot Perform – Tinubu Fires At Jonathan by ozo13(m): 1:41pm On Dec 20, 2014 |
na so Mr lagaban.make progressive take charge... montestic: A national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Lagos State Governor, Senator Bola Tinubu has renewed his verbal attacks at President Goodluck Jonathan, describing his administration as a failure.
According to the APC chieftain, the President’s incessant excuses to Nigerians is testament to his inability to continue to preside over the affairs of the nation and urged him to resign.
Tinubu made the remarks on Friday, in Benin City, while commissioning the new six lane New Lagos Road and the Ewohimi Hospital in Esan South East of Edo State.
He said: “A nation fails because of the leadership failures, if there is a good leader at the top, a nation will not fail. Because the fish start getting rotten from the head. The poverty, insecurity, unemployment which we are witnessing today in this country is because the head has failed.
“Let them stop giving us excuses that Boko Haram is in my government, fish them out. That we have saboteurs in the military, you are admitting failure. No excuse of failure, Mr President we chose you to lead this country, resign if you cannot enough of the excuses”.
Tinubu, who described Governor Adams Oshiomhole as a man of honour and one capable of leading Nigeria, pointed out that the governor’s developmental strides in Edo state is an indication that the APC has a reservoir of credible people capable of becoming president.
“Many people like you would have fell into the temptation of naira and kobo. But you stood for the progress of Edo state. We share in common the determination to make progress, you had the opportunity to be in labour party, you had that option clearly, but you chose to be with the progressives that you know”, Tinubu added.

wat will u ppl now say abt some state universities DAT pay as high as 500k per session ... Rapmoney: October, 2014 made it 8 years I successfully graduated from the university. I still vividly remember some of those unnecessary fees, dues and levies we had to pay in order to obtain that 'overrated paper' called certificate The truth is that most of these fees paid by university undergraduates are highly defrauding. I don't know if some of them still exist or if more have been added to the ones I have always known of. Here we go:
1. Accreditation fee: What the heck does this mean? Instead of sincerely apologizing to me for collecting money from me as tuition fee, when the university or department I have been admitted to lacks legality, how dare you turn around and ask me to fund the accreditation exercise? Nigerian universities would not use money collected as accreditation fees from students to purchase facilities that would aid academic and scholastic pursuits. The monies end up in private pockets. Prof. Ezekwe should rot in hell
2. Acceptance fee: Accepting or rejecting admission should be done simply through written letter or any other form that can act as a formal notification. Collecting 5k to 10k (don't know if that's the current fee) as acceptance fee is fraudulent! I often wonder why students pay to accept an admission offer
3. Students' Affairs dues: Another fraudulent fee! What does this department do? Students' affairs units in our universities are not relevant to the socio-economic issues students face on daily basis on campus. All through my days in the Ivory Tower, I was a fervent payer of Students' Affairs dues yet I fought all my problems myself what ever form they came. So what does our money do as dues? A student who couldn't pay medical bills was allowed to suffer, yet a fervent payer like myself.
4. Post UME forms and Scratch Cards: Why sell forms or cards when you know the capacity of the school will not be able to accommodate the teeming youths seeking for admission? This is fraudulent. Nigerian universities lower their cut-off marks just to attract desperate candidates. They need people to purchase cards and forms when in essence, these people won't even see or touch the school's matric gown for that academic session. Jambites, next time a friend tells you that Migwor University or University of Vrendo accepts 150 as cut-off mark, you might just be one of the steps on the ladder for that university to make serious money!
5. In all, selling of handouts, unnecessary and low-standard books to students, useless old rusted machines in faculties of Engineering, old and outdated computers in Computer Science dept. are all fraud! That's why we have been producing elect/elect Engineers that cannot connect lamp-holder, talk less of manufacturing wrist-watch
Pls, feel free to add yours. |
