Stegomiah: Six Types of Friends Essential for Every Woman
The good friends in your life are often overshadowed by the drama the bad ones bring. Sure, you complain about the faux friends in your world - you know, the shady ones, you can't half trust, who are more like acquaintances, and you can't wait to hang up the phone and talk about? - but what about the keepers? The one who calls you back to check on you, even when you rudely told her to leave you be; the one who went with you to that party so you could save face when your date blew you off. If you're blessed enough to have one of these six friend types in your life, hold on tight.
1. The Kindred Soul
She may not always have the answers, but you're kindred souls, so she will understand. She can sense when something's off in your world, and you know just when she needs you most. You're sisters from another mother and you'll want to continue to love and cherish her the way you do your own family.
2. The Motivator
Her friendship challenges you to go places you've never been, do things you swore you couldn't, and reach heights you never imagined you could soar to. She's an inspiration, and she's not afraid to push you when it counts. Put simply: Your relationship is priceless. Remember that.
3. The Confidant
Your private matters are safest with her, and you know it; that's why you tell her everything. She'll guard your secrets with her life, so don't you go giving up any of hers. Continue to be each other's ears to listen. You'll always need a trustworthy friend like this along the road of life.
4. The Teammate
If you have an extra ticket, she's there. When it's raining, and no on else feels like coming out for a drink, she's already on her way. You know her well: She's that friend you can truly count on to be down for whatever and right there by your side. You can't imagine your social life without her, so be willing to put in the work it takes to be sure she sticks around. Remember to be there when she needs a no-fuss buddy.
5. The Fighter
Most-likely the loudest one in your circle, this friend has zero problems telling you what's on her mind. Her no-nonsense attitude is a breath of fresh air when you need someone who's not afraid to keep it real. She'll stand up for you even when you're not prepared to defend yourself and she loves just as hard as she fights. Know this woman? Keep her around!
6. The Rock
When you're at your weakest, she's strong for you. Her words of wisdom and support echo in your heart and soul and lift you back to happy places. She's made room in her heart for you, so make sure you thank her for being your rock, and always show her some love. Can someone do one for men? |

Chocboyslim: Honestly, i don't know what to do.....My elder bro wife to be is dying for me & my only brother who trusted me so much never notice it.
All this started when i celebrated my birthday last year & my elder bro funded everything such as drinks, foods etc, except the cake & the party house decoration which was funded by his fiancee. She even bought me a 'Rolex stone watch' as a birthday gift right before my brother.
I never knew that she had feelings for me then, until one fateful morning, when she blew it open by sending me 'morning love texts' confessing that she loves me & will do anything to make me happy. First time i saw the text, i thought it was a mistake, that she wanted to send it to my bro but when i call to confirm, she told me that the text was for me. At first i couldn't say anything, i was speechless, never believed it until when i met her one on one in my bro absent that she make it clearer to me that she was madly in love with me & even ended it up with a hot kiss.
Honestly, my brother's fiancee is truly beautiful that no man can resist her easily & my bro who trusted me so much never noticed dis.......
what should i do? Should i make this known to my bro or should i keep it secret & enjoy her ?
Pls am confused now, need your advise! Your english is terrible, was it the kiss or are you just a lost cause? |

Chukwuemeka007: A deaf and dumb commuter bus driver has been arrested at Apongbon area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria for driving on BRT lane.Officials of the Lagos State Taskforce on Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit arrested the 33-year old driver, Sunday Ogunola on Monday with passengers in his bus who were unaware that he was deaf and dumb. The driver is also married to a deaf and dumb woman and has two kids and is also pregnant. At the time of his arrest, Ogunola was driving a Volkswagen faragon bus painted in the state's colour, with registration XW 724 EKY. The culprit has been driving since 1999 and has no valid driver's licence. On questioning, he said he normally plies the Ajah-Lekki-CMS-Eko Hotel route and that he had once been arrested on BRT lane in the past and was let off the hook after he pleaded.Taskforce Chairman, Bayo Sulaiman said he was shocked that the driver could not hear or speak when asked questions, saying that he constituted serious danger to life and safety of passengers.
He lamented that despite his predicament, he drove on the BRT lane, which was why he was arrested initially, adding that he has been driving for a long time." "When we asked him questions, he could reply us.He cannot even hear or speak but he can write. We don't expect him to be driving other people. He cannot even come up with a valid driver's licence."He is liable for his action. He was arrested with passengers in his bus on BRT lane.We are going to look for the owner of the vehicle and charge him to court. We are holding him back here so that we can get the owner of the bus," Sulaiman said.

Crime › Re: Lagos Strip Club Collapses by ozoemeka(m): 3:26pm On May 27, 2013 |
dani1luv: Culled From TheNetNG Tragedy was yet averted today, Sunday May 26, 2013 when the building of a Lagos strip club, Ocean Blue collapsed.
The club, located on 14, Opebi Street lost half of its two-storey-ed structure when it collapsed. Eye witnesses say the incident which happened at around 1:20pm startled the neighbours.
An eye witness who talked to NETng reporter said, ’I was just on my way out when I suddenly noticed the building crumbling from the top. I really hope no one was injured or has died’.

Another witness, Nasiru Ahmed, who runs a provision kiosk confirmed to NET that no one was injured. ‘They are lucky that it happened in the afternoon, because if it was in the night when customers would have been around, it would have been very disastrous’, Ahmed said.
The reason for the collapse of the building is still not clear as the club security refused our reporter or anyone entry into the premises under the orders of the management.
From the looks of things the management of the club seem to want to conceal the misfortune as the strip club which is located in the carefully concealed premises was allegedly being run illegally.
A call through to the Ikeja Police Station, proved that the police is unaware of the incident.

Good day nairaland. I'm 31 years old female, single and unmarried. I want to get married by the end of this year by Gods grace. All the men that approach me either are unsettled yet or one problem or the other. At first I wasn't desperate, but I don't know what im doing wrong. I have a good job and travel to the UK often but still haven't met any man that's prepared for marriage. When I go out to have fun, my siblings start complaining that im attending parties and staying out late too much. Is it in our parlour a man will marry me? I'm trying to enjoy life by looking on to the bright side but still feel empty inside of me. What else can I do to get married at least by the end of the year? Any others I my shoes can input as well. That's cool, you can have me for guap$$ |

Pastor Kun: Whilst I normally don't like engaging atheist on NL cause I believe they have deliberately chosen to be ignorant, I would like to share this write up I took off a friend's facebook page as I believe it's worth sharing.
Few things bother me more than atheism. It is as though because of the antecedents of believers in a Supreme Being the Supreme Being must then be shorn asunder. Most of what man has said is God is man creating God from man's vast imagination. So, then, what is "God?" I define God as the source of volition who lives outside the time and space created by our cosmic big bang. The question of a creator is answered by the existence of anything. As they say, why is there not nothing? Meaning, where was the energy that created all matter willed from "in the first place", if not the source of volition? Volition itself is a mystery. The moon cannot, of it's own, decide to leave its orbit for a stroll down the milky way galaxy. But man can decide to move and then, in a singularity-like instance, move energy. What type of energy is volitional energy? It is as though man has a hidden capacitor that stores energy and is able to invoke this circuit "at will." What is this will? The moon and sun don't have it, and they are moved by the big bang and it's inflationary vibration. This is why man speculates that we are made in the image and likeness of the the source of volition. Physicists cannot explain what "I" is other than "awareness" of space in time within the bounds of the laws of our universe. But what gives individual identity? Can this identity be said to be a random manifestation of our expanding universe, and if so, why do we call it "life"? There are types of life on earth, gathering energy through a solar process, but only fertilization and germination create the sort of volitional object which is not bound by an orbit defined by the big bang's initial inflation and vibration. What type of energy is this in physics? Nobody knows. I haven't considered myself a Christian for a while, but I certainly know that it is the fool who says in his heart that there is no God. If because God is cloaked in Judeo-Christian garb you deny the existence of a source of volition, ask yourself, what is volition and where is it stored? It has nothing to do with Adam or Eve. Those revelations are not meant for those who prefer a more rational explanation of our existence. If you deny that there could be a higher intelligence than yourself and that this intelligence, too, has volition, then you are in danger of becoming irrelevant in the argument. Humans can prove one to another that relatively, god-like intelligence exists amongst and between humans. Why then should we not assume that a higher intelligence than ours also exists relative to ours, one which does not require space/time in order to function volitionally. There are those who say that Olodumare created the Universe and that he sent Oduduwa "down" to earth to create Ile-Ife. And there are those who say it was Yaweh who brooded upon the face of the deep. Our accumulated knowledge tells us, however, that the the sense of time was created "in an instant" fourteen or so billion years ago, "before" which time was irrelevant to us who sense it. This requires a creator, only because it was OUR sense of time in space that came to be, and volitional sense cannot spring up from a dense infinity of energy and massless gas. It is alright to be agnostic and to say that it is unknowable until proven otherwise. But to dismiss God outright without really appreciating the meaninglessness, then, of existence is folly. The fool has said in his heart, that volition is not proof of a source of volition. There... I'm done ranting I liked this. Sounds all physics-sy and complicated. |

Cristalz: Dang, this place is so serious and ''focused'' Not a bad thing of course, but I think we should have a chill zone where you can kick back, relax and talk about how your day went at work.
Seriously, how many workers here have people they return home to at the end of the day that sincerely ask ''how was work today''?
So in this zone, you can come in, tell us your career field, your job designation if you like (not compulsory), and then you share how work went.
How did your boss totally piss you off? What blunder did you make? What great feat did you accomplish? What project are you working on and how is it going? What things hinder your progress in your field/at your office? Customer pressure (Bankers, Telecomm peeps, etc) ? Funny events that took place at the office?
Come here and share all. And let others benefit from your experiences, and offer you some good advice too. You never know, you just might get that idea you've been searching for in here. . .and definitely you will be able to de-stress here If your story is one you would rather start an independent thread on, even better.
This could work if every worker makes some sensible contribution. . .I can't make it fly by myself . So let's share.
*Hols are coming up yeah, but work will still go on* You're bashing your office, wait till your boss comes in here and reads this |

Music/Radio › Re: Wizkid Is Wiser Than D’banj – Chude Jideonwo by ozoemeka(m): 4:19pm On May 07, 2013 |
ghettodreamz: https://www.channelstv.com/home/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/D%E2%80%99banj-and-Wizkid.jpeg Y!Naija boss, Chude Jideonwo on Monday gave props to starboy and ‘Pakurumo’ crooner, Wizkid for reconciling with his label, Empire Mates Entertainment; comparing him to D’banj and stating that he is ‘wiser.’
In the past year, several musicians have created buzz in the music industry with their departure from their record label where they broke through.
D’banj, Wizkid, MayD and Eva top the list of this estranged relationship.
Wizkid caused tongues to wag after removing EME from his Twitter account. He also did not use the EME label name on his video ‘The Matter’.
Eventually he reconciled with label boss, Banky W.
This singular act seems to have won the respect and admiration of many including Chude Jideonwo, who took to twitter to let his thoughts known.
It’s really surprising that (in re-connecting with EME), Wizkid has shown more wisdom than D’banj “ he tweeted, referring to the Wizkid’s return to EME and yet floating his own record label; StarBoy, which is already signing a number of musicians.

D’banj parted ways with his friend and producer, Don Jazzy in March 2012 to join Kanye West’s G.O.O.D music and inspite of appeals by fans, the two music stars are yet to reconcile.
