As a Christian, I will argue mildly here, someone called me from Canada over the weekend, we discussed n he told me about a whopping grant he won to provide portable water in his community in Ondo state, he won it on merit, from an organization. He's expecting another $40k.The poser here is this, can't pastors send half of this money to charity courses, and people win on merit, the big n gigantic projects only favor the rich, ones that have embezzled . It's more like competition these days. The Nobel Laurel that Soyinka is known for was part of a legacy someone left behind in Europe years back. I have checked the internet to read and digest the duties expected of LASTMA in Lagos State, and I want to ask is it LASTMA duty to arrest me for seatbelt offence, though, the car I was driving do not have seats, it's under repair, it was an improvised driver side seat, so no where to hang seatbelts hook, I was driving to Ladipo market to replace the removed seats, and LASTMA sighting me, drove me to their office at Oshodi, I was asked to pay the official offense price of 75k for not using seatbelt, I begged n begged to 10k,I transferred #9800. There are many POS terminals in front of their office , very plenty o, that's where people they want to obtain send money to, I sent the money a POS in front of the office, and I am feeling pained, so I want to ask if checking seat belt is part of their duties. Meanwhile, the vehicle I was driving is a Tokunbo, just arrived into Nigeria.

Someone is in dare need of advise in respect visa application, the person applied to enter a foreign country some 7years ago for a visit,though , married then, but on the application information filled in , she put single, fast forward to 2020,the same person now has some requisite qualifications to be picked for skilled Visa in the same country she applied to then. The question now is, will it be advisable to use marriage certificate that is dated 8years ago, considering, 7 years ago, the same person claimed single, actual date that preceded the date of first application. I will appreciate good responses that can be conveyed back to the person, maybe she can go file in for another marriage certificate or use the old one! |
