You guys keep making these stupid comparisons. If we want to go by your logic, Tinubu will win Kano by more than 70% based on the crowd he pulled. No worry, election is only next month. Peter Obi will teach Nigerians a new brand of politics. After his victory in February, politicians will stop buying crowd and start working for the people. HydraFeeds: well Edo is not Tinubu’s hometown not to talk of the fact that Edo crowd is bigger than this by far . Why is the campaign not combined ? Even if it’s combined we have seen what a local government is pulling up in the north . |

This is a projection based on the polls conducted. It means there are so many factors that can swing the election, as you pointed out. But as it stands now, LP is in poll position to win. At the bolded, are you saying you don't know what is a survey? BluntTheApostle: I don't mean to be rude, but you people are delusional.
You project LP to garner over 10 million votes? From where would they get that?
ANAP and whatever other poll you use offered sampled results. They are inferential statistics.
If you sampled 1000 respondents, and 60% want Obi, how do you generalize such result to a population of 93.5 million registered voters?
Remember, the survey was administered via phone calls, and we know that one limitation of the phone survey is that respondent always tend to be dishonest, or may not reveal their true intention for fear of being judged. You call someone who is in the midst of people shouting Obi, of course he would readily declare for Obi, but might vote someone else on election day.
Another limitation of the phone survey are the biases, such as coverage bias. Did the survey cover the whole country, or did it it miss a bulk of the true registered voters? |

Or have you forgotten python dance that Buhari started in the South East? Has Atiku spoken about the insecurity in the NE? How many times has he been called out? lhordspy: Hmm.
Nobody is saying it s his fault. But when a leader from an insecurity ridden region refuses to acknowledge and dodges from criticising the main menace running wild in the region. Then something is wrong. |

In Buhari's time, insecurity in the East is Peter Obi's fault because he wants to be the president. You are right. If PO steps down, it will give Atiku the better advantage because of SS and SE. Right now, the three candidates are balanced because of Kwankwaso's effect. He is the second most loved politician in the North behind Buhari. Tzar: Ok, even if I agree without conceding, my below position is very valid: 'The division is Atiku's loss, as the PDP and Northern interest block vote in the SE will now go to PO. It is in Atiku's not Tinubu's interest for PO to step down. If PO steps down, Atiku has won hands down!'. |
Politics › Re: Reno Omokri Says Obi Or Tinubu Should Step-Down by pacesetting: 10:23am On Jan 04, 2023 |
You failed to get the point. Obasanjo, a former head of state then, was more popular than Falae. Southwest preferred Falae because they believed he will represent Yoruba's interest better. That's exactly what some of them are doing with Tinubu now. But other regions, including SE, preferred OBJ who was more national than regional in his thinking. Tzar: CLOWN! The SE has NEVER voted for a core SW candidate. Obasanjo was the Northern oligarchs candidate, that is why the SE voted for him against Falae who was the SW candidate. The division is Atiku's loss, as the PDP and Northern interest block vote in the SE will now go to PO. It is in Atiku's not Tinubu's interest for PO to step down. If PO steps down, Atiku has won hands down! |

If you're using 2019 election result to predict next month's result, you're on a very long thing. Most of Obi's supporters re from a new demographic, middle class and the Youth. Many of these people are voting for the first time. Do you know that Nigeria did not record up to 50% voter turnout in 2019? Do you think OBJ will endorse Obi if he thinks he will not win? Even PDP and APC party chieftains are admitting Obi's serious threats and you are here forming INEC. TheNiceGuy: You're the one who's politically naive.

Are you serious? Who is Buhari to think he is above the entire South East? If you're not liked you're not liked. South East doesn't need him. And Buhari's govt has proven that south east was right to reject him. ImperialYoruba: Thats what Buhari had planned in 2019, that if SE supported his reelection he would hand over to them. He sent many emissaries, Ngige, Onu, Kalu, Boss Mustapha, Lauretta Onoche, to go beg Ndibo for their backing. All ended in vain. Buhari himself traveled to East and wore isiagu. Ibos caricatured him in the isiagu with short knicker. Rejected Jibrin from Sudan.
Where was Clark then to intervene and advise Ibo to accept Buhari?

The problem is not southerners but northerners. They are very greedy for power. Delphi: Concurred. I have always said that it baffles me why people struggle so hard to sell a Northern candidate to the citizenry. It is unfair, inordinate, skewed and a heavy aberration that A FULANI MAN will become president after the expiration of the 8-YEAR TERM of another Fulani man. This is the height of insensitivity and aloofness. This contest is between Tinubu, Obi, Sowore, the SDP man, Abiola etc. Why should people take others for granted especially having been offered a pot of porridge? Any Southerner supporting this aberration will not go unpunished by the God of equity. Southerners should get sense for once!!!
