PoliticsRe: Lagos Ranked World’s Second Most Stressful City By Vaay by pacespot(m):
The problem is that lagos development pattern is anti masses and pro super rich. People keep eulogizing someone like Tinubu because they are ignorant of how a city with enormous potentials like Lagos should be arranged. Lagos housing scheme should have been made a private and public partnership, where some investors come together in alliance with the government to erect an estate of high-rise buildings in strategic areas so as to free the city's road networks and expand on new ones. But instead people see Lagos as a place of segregated livings where the rich neighborhoods are separated from the poor. Lagos roads should have been extended to 25 or more lanes and many overhead paths are built to suffice the congested areas. This is possible if residential settlements are aggregated into certain areas with skyscrapers that can accommodate between 500+ apartments in each. People say skyscrapers are costly but the cost of building one mansion for a single family is far greater. Land development should be the exclusive reserve of the government and some private investors. Lagos has the money and potentials to do all this provided the money is judiciously spent. Financially capable people can also donate money to government's housing scheme, in this case, they will be considered in the housing lease before others. The land fragmentation in Lagos will not get the city anywhere.

PoliticsRe: Okorocha: 'Igbos Will Lose More If Nigeria Breaks Up' by pacespot(m): 5:31pm On Jun 20, 2021
NwaAmaikpe:
shocked

He is correct.
The Igbos will lose more if Nigeria breaks up.
They will lose all their haters,
They will lose the herdsmen destroying their farms,
They will lose the slavemaster that has chained them all the while.

They will not only lose, they will be loosened from bondage to compete with their peer nations of Taiwan, China and Singapore.

- Our Aba-made shoes will compete with that of the Italians.
- Our 'Awka-made' will compete with the English pistols,
- Our Akwete Fabrics will compete with Cashmere from Mongolia.
- Our Innoson cars will compete with South Korea's Kia.
- Our 042 area code will be more famous than California's 213.
- Our Ogbunigwe will make the Russians look like learners in explosives.

They know this and that's why the average Southerner doesn't like the Igbo. It is not because they hate us, but because they feel inferior when they think about us.

Igbo bu Igbo.
Just like the Jews excel by default, so do the Igbos and it explains why people who aim to succeed in life always try to get entangled with our men and our women so as to attain success via soul-ties.
If you doubt me, ask FFK, ask Davido, then ask Kerry Washington.

Igbo Kwezuonu.
Haha , which kind person be this. So na chioma made Davido a successful person he is today, chioma that was picked up in gutter and touched up by Davido. Who is chioma before Davido? You must be smoking oshogbo weed while typing that.

We all know you igbos like to blow your trumpet: Igbo Amaka this, Igbo kwenu that, but if you must lie, be reasonable at least.
PoliticsRe: Okorocha: 'Igbos Will Lose More If Nigeria Breaks Up' by pacespot(m): 5:09pm On Jun 20, 2021
IPOB are like Trump supporters, their voices are the loudest but I don't think they are the majority. Not all igbos support IPOB, but most of them feel marginalized in the country.
PoliticsRe: Grazing Routes: FG Driving Nigeria To Anarchy - Gani Adams by pacespot(m): 5:04pm On Jun 20, 2021
wonder233:
How come nobody is talking about the alarming increase in food prices? A paint rubber of beans that sold for N800 during the first lockdown is now N2,600. Rice, yam, other staples are now astronomically high. Eggs now N1,700 a crate. The scaring thing is that the prices shoot up every day, not like before that it will tarry a while. A lady I bought roasted corn from told me the farmers they buy from can't go the farms to harvest because it's highly unsafe, that they had to contribute lots of money and pay a team of mopols to accompany them. And even that is still highly risky.
Other federal administrations have come and gone, how come its Buhari's time it is seeming impossible to grow crops and livestock together?
I know Buhari wants to be a northern hero. Why not tackle the number one problem of your region which is illiteracy? The man has never built a single school in the north even with all the federal resources at his disposal. Or does he also subscribe to the notion that western education is a sin?
I don't want this country to break into Biafra, Oduduwa etc. I know once May 29 2023 comes, and somebody else enters power. This whole herdsmen cow menace will just vanish into thin air. But the question is: can we survive till 2023? Its just 2021. We haven't even entered 2022.
If this was a country where people can agree on what is good and bad, these issues won't be this bad. But in Nigeria, good and bad are relative. If you criticize Buhari, core northerners and Yoruba Muslims will attack you. On this thread people are already saying Ipob etc. Everything is a tribal and religious fight. Those of us that are neutral, can't even be heard. It's frustrating
I tell you, the same people will come online and murmur over food price hike, but on the issue of herdsmen attacks that farmers are facing on a daily basis which is causing the rising inflation, Nigerians have failed to come forward in unison to speak against it. Ethnicity will always have its way to distort their voices, then they will go back and face the same problem
PoliticsRe: Restructuring: I Won’t Cede Power To Those Who Didn't Win Elections - Buhari by pacespot(m): 4:44pm On Jun 20, 2021
So what is the essence of the constitutional review if you don't agree with restructuring? So in essence, you are saying there won't be state police, decluttering of exclusive list, devolving powers to the state? But you want to open grazing routes for your killer Fulani's in the south west. Thanks goodness you are coming out and saying this rather than hibernating away as you normally do.

Buhari has effectively rubbished the ongoing constitutional review.

CrimeRe: Titus Badejo 'Eja Nla' Shot Dead In Ibadan (Photo) by pacespot(m):
Who did he offend or cheat out of business? He was not robbed, but gunned down. I don't comment much on the story I don't know how it began. What I know for sure is that people use a lot of crooked means to get rich in this country while others suffer the brunt of their sharp practices. I knew this from experience of how Nigerians can be very desperate in regards to money, though this is not discounting the innocent ones that are killed unjustly too. But Nigerians don't just go about killing people for no reason, we are not Americans that one racist white person can just go to a black community and open fire on innocent people. A violence of this kind is often done by someone with which the deceased had engagement in the past.

Hmm. And this one can rope a rape allegation against someone and people will believe her without even subjecting it into facts and evidence. I'm not saying there are no innocent girls and boys out there, but poeple should try and verify any allegation no matter who it is coming from. This country is full of many desperate people. Don't say because she is a woman and young, so she can do no wrong.

The truth is that, these Fulani's are very stubborn o, if you chase them they still come back, this time more violently. That town should be ready for insecurity unless they prepare for them. Once Buhari made one of those his inflammatory statements or any military raid in the southern state ( south-south and south east), this will embolden these Fulani's to come back and attack this town. Just watch and see!

In whatever you do, don't allow your enemies to overcome you, make it a vow that you will not give in to the enemies. Imagine, this man would have been killed by Nigerian army like many unknown gunmen today without a trace of his name in history, but look at him today giving ultimatum to the president, and the president sent his minister to him. Now the ass licking nollywood actists have also paid him a visit.

PoliticsRe: Bakura Modu 'Sahaba': Boko Haram Gets New Commander After Shekau’s Death by pacespot(m): 12:15pm On Jun 18, 2021
Where is shekau's corpse to prove that he is dead? These people think we are fools. Northern Boko Haram sponsors have told shekau to play dead so that the recent backlash against Fulani's herdsmen will not get to him. How can you tell me that a notorious leader of a dreaded terrorist group like Boko Haram is dead without a military confirmation. When Osama Bin Laden was killed, we saw his corpse while being buried to the sea. Where is shekau's?
