justwise:So it apears that even the real colleges are part of the fraud , or why have they kept silent and not returning my nephew's correspondences anymore. Even the ones that they replied before are not signed with anybody's name. |
There is a growing concern about this fraud. Typically when students from visa countries apply to study in a UK college or university , they are asked to pay a deposit to the school after which they are issued an admission letter to enable them apply for a study visa . More than 80% of these visa applications fail though . For the student to get their deposit paid back by the school now becomes so difficult that most just stop trying after months of fruitless correspondence with the school. It is a real and growing scam and it is thought that many of these colleges and universities actually issue out admission letters to students whom they know have no hope of getting a visa just to collect a deposit which they have no intention of paying back. Have you ever been a victim of such schools and how did you pursue the matter? My nephew has an ungoing tussle with a school called North West College London http://www.nwclondon.co.uk which has put him to such misery over the past 6 months and he is now convinced that the school may not actually exist. Does anyone know this school ?. |

I read with suppressed laughter the advertisements of the British High Commission in some Nigerian newspapers inviting mugus to come and study in UK in the promise that they will be able to work 20hrs per week. Now the big catch here is with thousands of jobs disappearing into the economic black hole every week in Uk where will this work that is promised come from ? Everything and any old lies just to lay their hands on the money of unsuspecting fools. Don't these people have any conscience ? |
My , my sorry everybody I feel so guilty and responsible for all the riot on this thread. Abeg no vex, but nothing spoil yet sha !! ![]() I have created a parallel thread to post pictures of Nigeria and I think that should even things a bit innit ? ![]() The thread UGLY NIGERIA is located at following https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-202007.0.html#msg3160668 @Angiefan Thanks for this great idea. God bless you. Sorry all I have to go back into retirement once again , this place is too funky for me ![]() |
I am creating an album of all the terrible places and situations in Nigeria , please add your own pictures. I am starting with a few contributions gleaned from another previous thread (Ugly Britain). Thanks all ![]() https://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y229/owena13/DSCN7511.jpg https://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y229/owena13/Picture003.jpg https://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y229/owena13/silasworks_ochanja06.gif https://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y229/owena13/Picture058.jpg https://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y229/owena13/otumoyecreek02.gif Terrible living condition in Onitsha Terrible Jos religious riot |
OutlukBabe:You can never compare two places with success. Each one has its failure like this thread shows . Access to the good infrastructure of developed countries and also the "inner happiness" of home is very desirable but sadly it is often Utopia . Don't forget that most Britons hate their climate because they only have about 120 days of sunshine in a year while we have sunshine all year round. Thousands of them leave the UK every year because of this reason alone and most never return until they are old and almost ready to be buried. The British weather is one of the biggest joke in the world and it gets worse and worse. (Damn i should have posted some pics on this. Too late )Do Naija abroad put same energy into Nigeria as they do on the job they do abroad and into paying their huge bills abroad ? Certainly not , else you should be looking to find the means to succeed in your own little businesses at home rather than looking for where " things seems to be going bad and bad " .I am sure when you are in uk or wherever , you are not looking for where things are going bad and bad otherwise you will not be living there at all. My sister YOU are the brain gain that Nigeria needs, stop looking for anyone else to do it for you. It is neither good , bad or shameful to live abroad away from home , after all home is where your heart is, but if your heart is in Naija and you are settling down elsewhere where you are ill at ease - big problem for you . Sorry I must really and finally leave this thread now. @Busy body You know where to find me. Usual place at Yaba left ![]() |
Fellow Nigerians When I started this thread it was merely for a bit of fun at the expense of the British (too many countries have been having fun at the expense of Nigeria for such a long time anyway ). It was also to cheer up the army of disillusioned young Nigerians who have lost billions of Naira in applying for all flavours of visa . The ultimate objective was to show that they could actualy be better off at home. Anyone who has not learnt at least that important lesson deserves whatever travails and frustration that life hands to them in their travels. For those that got a good laugh out of all this, bless your soul, and I wish you very many years of laughter. Similarly for those who have been embittered by this thread _ _ _ _ However it will be irresponsible of me to not notice that there are a lot of Nigerians (the rest of us are Naijas) who live a precarious life in the UK , and who sincerely feel very afraid that this sort of discussion could have dire consequences especially on their relationship with their British neighbours and eventually on their continued stay in the UK . Pafun (=bread=money) is not a poor person and wishes nobody misery . Therefore Pafun wil be retiring from this thread with immediate effect. I thank you all for reading , encouraging, and cursing. I thank The Punch for making this larger than it was meant to be. I thank Siena for resigning at the right time else this thread wouldn't have gotten this far , and I thank Seun for not suing me (yet). Goodbye all, Adios , O dabo , Carry go ! (Una no go clap ? ) |

Besides , that is not my scene. can you kiss me instead and you can make up with him if you like . I don't mind honest Goodnight |
reindeer:It's all so unbelievale ! see how I have been described by just ONE SINGLE poster today : dishonest fool! dirty complete joke Ode! Nonsense slowpoke! charlatan Mumu! Nama! idiot! Asshole! It's a good thing nobody knows my real name or address else i should be afraid to go home tonight. Wow I must be really good !! ![]() Goodnight folks. |
RichyBlacK:As a matter of fact your "comment" was very abusive : @pafun, you're being dishonest! If it was just for amusement, then why try to make it sound/look like a serious photo-documentary?It is good to always think before you speak , and always learn how an argument got to its present point before firing off your conclusion. I honestly think you got the sort of response that your comment deserved , but what the hell , OK Oga i beg no vex. Are you alright now ? Greet everybody for house for me o, you hear ?. ![]() |
RichyBlacK:Shh!! Temper , temper Which kind forum be this self. Ephesians 6:12 - For we wrestle not against flesh and blood . . . |
@ akede-oba bros i no know book o ! @ newdeal Another honest Naija voice from UK , not some emotional jerk . Remain blessed. |
Everywhere you look MORE ashewo prostitutes : ![]() https://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2007/06_02/028carkerbDM_228x246.jpg https://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/41147000/jpg/_41147525_prostitute.jpg https://news.bbc.co.uk/olmedia/185000/images/_187110_child300.jpg https://bp0.blogger.com/_7OC0YbG2fek/RrWqxNoB-FI/AAAAAAAABis/9hya8leh5Pw/s400/ProstitutionND.jpg NOTE : please disregard some of earlier posting on prostitutes as it has just be pointed out to me in recent posts by Messrs Bassogi and Pantaki that ONE picture shows some people breaking the law by using WRONG number plates and driving on the WRONG side of the road. It also appears these two gentlemen know some of the girls in the pictures personally - especially the naked one with the fat butt in a red room waiting for a bus. The error is regretted ![]() |
OK fair enough. Nothing that can't be done/changed with a photo editing program though if anyone is desperate enough. I am not sufficiently given to intrigue though , so no sweat for me on this. Please refer to the post above and take a cue from it : @Vieira I am sure that all those scenes I have said are from movies could be found in real life and even worse but make the effort to find proper pixs.Have a good weekend sir. And smile - you deserve to at least once in a while. ![]() |
Pataki:Hello genius . You missed the point and I am sure many people are laughing at you because you are so emotional about all this. I do not know which photos you refer to , but if you have like all the other emotional zealots taken the pain to read all the comments in this thread , you will not be at risk of dying from hypertension tonight ,in defending a slave farm that you bought yourself into with your own money. But let's briefly talk about your car (number plates) - and let's assume because you insist so, that they are not British . If I decide to take a trip from Lagos to Accra in my car , do I need to change the plates at Benin, Togo, and Ghana ? Similarly if some adventurer decided to take a car trip from Germany (or wherever) to Scotland do they have to buy new number plates along the way ? Waka pass bros. ![]() |
pie1ect:Splendid !! Finally someone who has really experienced living in the UK and not just some emotional twit. Your friend's father is lucky to get called up by the agency twice a week. Some only get to work two days in a month and these are teachers for God's sake - they are supposed to be ALWAYS in demand !! My auntie a nurse of more than two decades experience and living in UK for more than 15 years sometimes doesn't get an employment agency call for more than 2 months !! I personally know a Naija doctor from my church who lives on unemployment benefits. Now if these people with preferred skills are doing this badly you can imagine how all these other loudmouths on this forum with lesser skills may be doing. There is a reason why Nigerians are so eager to leave their country and it doesn't all have to do with bad press from other countries. Some conditions at home are unbearable.Migration is not all about bad conditions at home , It is also about adventure . Many of my British professional colleagues were working in Australia, New Zealand, US , Canada , Middle East even before the economy went pafuka in UK , and also there were lots of Antipodeans that we worked together in the UK many wondering what they were doing there as it was cheaper to live at home. Even if Naija had the best of everything in the world those who will migrate will still migrate. |
@Thor Absolutely funny pics. LMAOBy the way I can do better work with Photoshop on the plane picture , and to compare Nigeria to a shit hole surely has sorry implications . I personally wouldn't go around telling everybody that my parents are cockroaches from a shithole so I am in a way really sorry for you. ![]() Again the two animals pulling the cart are "cows" and not "bulls" , and no part of Lagos looks like that so you may have to rename that invention of yours (I suggest Gusau Caddilac TwinCows GT , No ? Cadillac and the people of Gusau are going to be cross with you though ) . more ![]() I don't know what to say about the first three pictures . Do they have anything to do with your childhood before you were taken away to London ![]() The title of this thread is "Ugly Britain" though , if you can read. ![]() LMAO LMAO LMAO |
Vieira:Thanks for the lifeline . So what is the point of your post , as you've also only proved like every other zealots unable to have a good laugh at yourself and at life - which is quite an unBritish attitude ? As a fact most of my closest friends are British - black and white , and by the way is there any place on this thread that it was mentioned that Pafun went about taking pictures in UK ? As you conceded though "all those scenes could be found in real life and even worse" , so, can we have some from you please ![]() @Texazzpete Where is it stated that MOST areas in UK are like this ? A SMEAR campaign exists only in your mind not mine. |
babs2aroks:Point well proved from the quality of this reply. You are definitely NOT half literate either. ![]() DISCLAIMER : To all that it may concern and especially the rabid Anglophiles on this forum , Joseph Adeyeye is NOT Pafun . This is important so that you don't start to molest and winch the guy all over the place. And please stop crying , we all know that some dreams might have unfortunately died here, but I pray that God will grant you the fortitude to bear the loss. |
babs2aroks:Another illiterate . The title of this thread is "Ugly Britain " Read it well well. Go start your own "Ugly Nigeria" , and put your face as the first picture ![]() |
RichyBlacK:Point of correction sir ; you can't blame me if you chose to think like an illiterate. If you have read all the comments in this thread from the beginning you will not have arrived at such a misinformed conclusion. ![]() |
Sorry I am late, I just arrived from church (puff) @Vieira @Thor I would like to point out that I have spotted nothing less than 5 pixs that come from movies! Even 99% of the pictures that have been posted are from the USA HuhWhich pictures; which movies ? what part of US ? Don't obfuscate the point sirs. @ Pataki No where in the UK would you see cars with some of the plate number designs as shown in the quote above emanating from youI am completely convinced that you live nowhere near the UK that last picture kind of looks like the typical red-light district room in the Netherlands.chei this bros go don catch someting o! @bawomolo why are nigerians in the UK catching feelings like this, are you being forced to defend the queen??Na fear say them go chase them (Oyinbo master I no dey among them o !). Na wa o ! ![]() Finally this thread is only meant to amuse . Make all these Abelejayan people go get a life. |
femionasan:Yaaay !! Fame at last ! |
kadman:I beg I no dey read paper o ! Na so so bad bad thing them dey write inside paper. Make we laugh small my brother. Punch which day ? |
Actually to be "treated like a dog" is a complement. https://www.kentmarshall.com/photos/Dog_with_Tie.jpg Top Dog https://www.samu3lk.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/dogcigarettesunglasses.jpg There is a really fine line between dogs and babies - in fact both words are often interchanged https://www.virginmedia.com/images/pram431.jpg And between dogs and children generally - most couples chose EITHER to buy a dog or to have a baby
|
@femigirl femigirl:A few years back unfortunately is not TODAY .The reality is a lot harsher and most estate agents are now claiming unemployment benefits . I wish her luck nevertheless. PS : Please watch more of CNN News / BBC News instead of MTV |
landis:Whoever advised that shops are hiring for Christmas has certainly not visited the UK lately . Many would in fact be closing down before Christmas as the British seem again to be finally discovering the joy of home cooking (rather than eating out) and of making good clothes last many more months. As a matter of fact for the past couple of years Europeans have been getting more preference even for the lowliest jobs like street and office cleaning . I am quite sorry for your friend , she may be in for a very mean Christmas this year and I suggest that she takes whatever job she can find even from fellow Nigerians or evil Indians or the pub. @Femigirl A British friend of mine has over the years temporarily housed European students coming to London to look for work on suggestion of Gumtree and I can tell you that many have returned home quite frustrated. A few of them I suspect eventually took up prostitution. |
You know some blokes don't even know whether they are men or women anymore , so they dress up like women anyway ! (Na these kind people bros bawomolo go like well well )https://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w253/johncp_photos/Transvestite.jpg https://www.nicolasmith24.co.uk/newsphotos/thumb/p1010072Asmall.jpg https://www.nicolasmith24.co.uk/newsphotos/thumb/p1010002small.jpg https://farm4.static.flickr.com/3101/2289523278_58116535e7.jpg?v=0 This one was even dumb enough to get married. ![]() https://img.thesun.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00416/SNN1023V280_416664a.jpg Now you are beginning to see small small what Sodom must have been like. |
