What you say is true but it doesnt really mean that every Nigerian here fall in that same boat. For as many Nigerians here struggling, there are equally others who doing extremely well.my brother don't get me wrong , I have nothing against Nigerians working/living in UK . I still go to work there whenever I want and I know that we all work there because na condison make kerefis bend. meaning Iku lo m'eja ka ko. I've got a lot of white British friends really and in fact I have more white British friends than I have Black Nigerian friends in UK . We get on quite well - they make jokes about Nigerian 419 and I respond with jokes about foolish white people , and they really don't mind . Most Nigerians living or intending to live in the UK tend to lose sight of the important fact that it's got as much filth and problems and hazards as the place you're coming from . Sorry if I have offended any Nigerian Anglophiles ( abelejayans ) on this forum , the whites have really never minded. @funkfaze I believe in working hard to pay your bills , a lot of the British don't - that is why they tax guys like me 40% to pay their f***ing bills and make it appear as if they do you a favour. ![]() |
As a matter of fact until mid-1980s Nigerians did not need visa to get into UK and up till early 1980s the Nigerians living abroad were struggling to come back home to enjoy. Even British, Americans, Europeans struggled to get visa to come and work in Nigeria because 70 kobo was equivalent to $1 . So how did Nigeria/Nigerians become like this ? Ask Obasanjo and those foolish old men. |
shotster50:Nothing my brother. I just hate HYPOCRISY , and of all the places I have come across in this world , the UK has the highest density of it - and Nigerians who come here tend to acquire that lying habit too , and lie to everyone at home about how well they are doing . they even lie to THEIR SELVES about how well they are doing even when many are working like jackasses to pay their bills and living hand to mouth in a very unfriendly climate !! (when you start lying to yourself your life is quickly coming to an end ) My own opinion mind you. Do you know what the Police/Government is called in Brixton ? BABYLON Do you know how the bible describes Babylon ? |
LOL See you at group therapy tomorrow ![]() |
Five minutes from Yaba left. Okay I don sabi that place now. Them give you too pyjamas ? Oga madam make you no vex ![]() |
Under paragraph 57 rules covering students, amount of fees paid is not a pre-requisite to obtaining a visa. All you have to do is show the proof that you can afford your fees and your upkeep without recourse to public fund.Sorry ma ema binu ma . I will obey the last order. But you sabi this paragraph 57 well well sha o . How many times them refuse you . ![]() |
LOL . Highly unlikely but if it truly happened praise Jesus (for not allowing you to lose your N25,000 visa processing fee) and whatever it is you have been doing right before God please intensify it. I can't think of a reason why the BHC will give you a visa though without confirming that you are able to pay your fees , and not become a liability to the government blah blah blah Others do not try this at home (for it is easier for a rich man to get to heaven .) ![]() |
Cash waiting for anyone who can give me a copy of Visual Studio CDs . Not non - functioning stuff from otigba . please SMS me 07028777368 with price |
this Guy:At least jamb allows you to take the exam and make the result public , and you know (deep within yourself) the reason why you failed . As a matter of fact the refusal letters are already in the computer, they just fill in your name , click the relevant reasons (why they think you should fail) and print. Chikena. Good business. As we well know most of the visa officers are barely literate and are really not empowered or permitted to use their initiatives (even if they knew how ). I have worked with a lot of them for more than a decade (and I still do) so I know what I am saying. |

This is how one of the scams works. The British High Commission encourages a great number of their schools and education consultants including British Council to advertise in Nigeria newspapers for students. When prospective students apply , they are led to pay a deposit of fees or full fees in pounds in exchange for letter of admission to take to embassy for visa, always with proviso that if your visa application is unsuccessful your money will be returned less "administrative costs" . Usually they know that your application has no hope of succeeding and all they are targeting is this administrative costs from thousands of applicants. Good business. Hopeful prospective student goes to apply for visa with non refundable "processing fee" of N25,000 or more and are encouraged by British High Commission even though from onset they know that the application has no hope of succeeding. N25,000 from thousands of applicants daily. Good business. Prospective students loses his "processing fee" and also pays school administrative charges and it is always a problem to recover the deposit (which meanwhile sits in a UK bank earning cool interests for the school). Foolish monkey Nigerian repeats the process the next year. Good business for UK. ![]() |
As a matter of fact it is a lot more than that. If you feel so bad about this sign the petition at www.rateoga.com |

@elosela Sorry Madam for calling you sir but as you realise very many people register in forums like this under false names and gender so pardon me. I really never read long posts but from the little that I glean from yours it is clear that even though you are certainly not thick you still do not know what this thread is about or you really need to get a life. It is not about vendetta nor gratification, so I have a problem with your use of such phrases as I am supposed to get some sort of pleasure out of a few pictures of crackheads and drug addicts in Britain in payback for showing the truth about Nigeria.Dear Madam, nobody gives a freaky f*** about what gives you pleasure , and about "payback" and "counteract", they only exists in your mind and I am sure not in the mind of anyone else who has been reading this thread. So maybe the guy who suggested paranoia does have a point afterall. If you have been reading Nigerian newspapers I am sure you will eat your words and need to drink plenty of tea with them. The papers ceaselessly show pictures of where things have gone wrong , and I am sure Yaradua together with his ministers may be some the most criticised people alive today , and he would have resigned if he thought that would solve the problem in Nigeria. But some funny Nigerians stay far away and make up situations in Nigeria in their head with assistance of the foreign Yellow press and come to their own misguided, conceited and prejudiced conclusion. As a matter of fact the UK has also for some years been facing a great exodus of their productive citizens (not sit-tight foreign low quality immigrant labour) to other countries like Australia, New Zealand,USA, Canada and other parts of Europe. It's a free world , and some of us travel worldwide to sell our services wherever we can get the most from it - I do.That is how to make progress with your life , and not by sitting in the cold and cursing your enemies. Once again, the message of this thread is : poverty and suffering exists everywhere in the world and even in the richest countries, full stop. Your mother is a twit you ignorant piece of shit! Take your bitter immature ass over there and shut the f*ck up. Uptight obnoxious bitch! In future keep your dirty sour diseased mouth out of anything I write on here and everything will be cool.I wonder how this resonates with your "In Jesus' name, I love you!" signature . A lot of very fake , hypocritical foreign Christian Nigerians about, innit ? ![]() |
See this posting : https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-182372.0.html Question : why should people pay millions of Naira to an embassy without getting anything out of them - no travel papers, no apology , no respect . We are quickly becoming the biggest country of fools in the whole wide world. |
EloSela:Why are you taking this so personal sir ? There are hundreds of thousands of Nigerians in the UK and you alone chose to fight not only for them all but even for everybody in UK (without their permission) because someone showed unpleasant pictures about UK . When pictures of Nigeria (and any part of Africa) is shown in the UK media do they go to VI to take pictures ? No they go to Amukoko , swamps of Niger Delta and the places where people are dying of hunger and starvation in the deserts to take their photos . And the foolish Nigerians abroad keep their head down and agree so that they don't get thrown out . And when they show pictures of their own country it is always the nice places that they publicise , so that Africans can keep coming here to become slaves . How tragic ; in the past they brought our people here in chains ; these days they show us beautiful pictures and we struggle to purchase our way into slavery- with our own money. Kai !!. Black man , take stock of yourself. Even if the real citizens (not those that borrowed British name) see these pictures they will just shake their head and laugh , but Nigerian slave go draw dagger begin kill everybody because them insult him master. I am sorry for you sir . This photo album is not to "compare" UK with Nigeria . It is just meant to expose the lies that we Nigerians tell ourselves and our people at home. Did you read about D-ick Whittington when you were a child ? London has never been paved in gold and even the British recognise this and admonish their children about this. Peace. PS : Ijebu ke ? God forbid bad thing. We no want this kind person for Yoruba area . We don't want people who use their left hand to describe their father's house. True true the man na British man. ![]() |
Advanced fee fraud I think means obtaining money for payment of an item that you have no intention of giving. From the many complaints on this site it looks like at least one person from every home in Naija has been refused a visa at least once . And according to the petition request on the website www.rateoga.com one seems to get the impression that foreign embassies in Naija are intentionally luring people to spend money on impossible visa applications and making millions from this "business" to solve unemployment problem in their countries. If you have been refused would you have applied if you had sufficient information from the embassies (especially British and US ) on the chances of your application succeeding ? . What do Nairalanders think ? |
landis:That's not true. Most guest houses on mainland still go for less than that. Why don't you call a few guest houses in VI and ask them. It works for me when I travel around UK though and I am visiting a new place where I don't know anyone. |
Your applying for a student or other visa effectively cancels all existing visas . If you don't , and I repeat if you don't file an appeal considering the reason for refusal you may NEVER get another visa to the UK again. Never mind ,there is nothing there anyway , only foolish ignorant conceited idiots. Good luck. |

https://cache.daylife.com/imageserve/02SP0At5Srd2F/610x.jpg SOME WORRYING ANNOUNCEMENTS I'VE HEARD AT THE TUBE STATIONS LATELY 1) 'Ladies and Gentlemen, I do apologize for the delay to your service. I know you're all dying to get home, unless, of course, you happen to be married to my ex-wife, in which case you'll want to cross over to the Westbound and go in the opposite direction.' 2) 'Do you want the good news first or the bad news? The good news is that last Friday was my birthday and I hit the town and had a great time. The bad news is that there is a points failure somewhere between Stratford and East Ham, which means we probably won't reach our destination.'( Okay I know there is no service between Stratford and Eastham , but that's the joke innit ?) 3) 'Ladies and gentlemen, we apologize for the delay, but there is a security alert at Victoria station and we are therefore stuck here for the foreseeable future, so let's take our minds off it and pass some time together. All together now, 'Ten green bottles, hanging on a wall, '.' 4) 'Beggars are operating on this train. Please do NOT encourage these professional beggars. If you have any spare change, please give it to a registered charity. Failing that, give it to me.' 5) During an extremely hot rush hour on the Central Line, the driver announced in a broad West Indian accent: 'Step right this way for the sauna, ladies and gentleman, ' 6) 'Let the passengers off the train FIRST!' (Pause .) 'Oh go on then, stuff yourselves in like sardines, see if I care - I'm going home, ' 7) 'Please allow the doors to close. Try not to confuse this with 'Please hold the doors open.' The two are distinct and separate instructions.' 'Please note that the beeping noise coming from the doors means that the doors are about to close. It does not mean throw yourself or your bags into the doors.'9) 'To the gentleman wearing the long grey coat trying to get on the second carriage - what part of 'stand clear of the doors' don't you understand?' 10) 'Please move all baggage away from the doors.' (Pause, ) 'Please move ALL belongings away from the doors.' (Pause, ) 'This is a personal message to the man in the brown suit wearing glasses at the rear of the train: Put the pie down, Four-eyes, and move your bl**dy golf clubs away from the door before I come down there and (the rest is censored!)' 11) 'May I remind all passengers that there is strictly no smoking allowed on any part of the Underground. However, if you are smoking a joint, it's only fair that you pass it round the rest of the carriage.' |
EloSela:By the way that BBC page has not been updated for more than a year !! (shows how efficient and organised they are innit ? ) So we are really helping them out here and updating for them , free of charge ; with love from Naijah ![]() |
