My point is that the  case of an EFCC chairman is like a man who goes to the police station to report a robbery incident only find the leader of the gang at the counter ready to take his complaint.

God help us all.

@crea8tivity

I appreciate your zeal. But you just migth find that you are alone in this believe when all other officer are in the come CHOP camp cheesy

Fellow Lander, If you were Waziri and knowing what is happening to Ribadu the estwhile Chairman of EFFC.

Will you go about prosecuting corrupt politicians when you know they will latter go for your neck. Especially with a president who is not resolute or decided.

Your opinion my people. If you were waziri?

Politics / Re: Naval Officers Beat Up A Lady And Stripped Her - Watch Video by palmwine(m): 7:54pm On Nov 06, 2008
iIcalled a freind of mine in the navy to find out what really Happened.

HEAR THEM.

The body of the ladies car was hitted by one of the naval police to have her give way.
But instead she took a horse wip from her car to flog the hand of the Naval police.

This is what really enraged them.

Well you are free to say they over reacted!

but what is a lady and indeed most Nigerians doing carrying horse wip in thier cars.

I am sure she must have wipped a number of men and gone free before this.

Well dont jump on me yet, I just gave you the other side of the story.

You can make up your minds.

I don't support the action of the Naval police though

The question is not how long it takes to repair all the filth in the state.

Which of them has he tackled? Even if its one road!

Politics / Re: Best Political Analyst On Nairaland by palmwine(m): 1:00am On Sep 15, 2008
Politica Analysis is usually neither here nor there. I feel it's too subjective a topic. You cannot give award on something that cannot be quantified on measured in concrete terms.

it will only lead to further analysis. Theses guys are good and express themselves in certain ways but say one is better than the other,

Real analyst will disagree. undecided
Politics / Re: Imagine This Kind Of Nigeria by palmwine(m): 6:55pm On Sep 11, 2008
This is good, but my fear is that the new generation politicians are worst in the way of corruption.

Check student unionism on our university campus. Future leadrs have taken corruption to the hi-tech level

Politics / Re: Who Is The Most Powerful Politician In Nigeria by palmwine(m): 2:29pm On Aug 28, 2008
Power or authority is the ability to influence poeple. Which people like Awo, Zik all had.

All the names being mentioned here cannot come out and give an intelligent debate on national issues.

These are poeple who simply cajole or coax other. They rig election because they determine who gets posted to them as Resident electoral officer, buy the police during election. etc. I leaved in Ilorin for a long time Iknow how this work.

No family in nigeria is power for now. They are all rigging machines.
Politics / Re: Campus Politics by palmwine(m): 12:07pm On Aug 28, 2008
campus politics is a good breeding groung for politics in the larger world.

But this days its becoming really dangerous and university authority now use student unions against the student as they are now an appendage of the authorities. unlike the good old days of real ALUTA.

Naija should stay clear of intern'l politics. we don't no nothing about it.

In Nigeria some people have to the economy into their own private company.

Dont be shocked by our Senators behaviour. The SENATE is filled with filt.
They stood by Iyabo Obasanjo, gagged that police man who wanted to point to 419 senators.

Now they are singing Odili's praise! YAK!!

Politics / Re: What Does Femi Pedro Want? by palmwine(m): 5:20am On Jul 26, 2008
why should Tinuby, a drug addict be the leader of Yorubas?
eye clear una so?

@dud-bobo
Hope you can substantiate this if called to do so.

Me think Tinubu is till better than most governor of his time. Despite being in Opposition, EFCC is yet to drag him around, he appears in public and has not gone underground like others.

As for PEDRO, he is not a politician, he needs to discover his strong point. Politics is definitely not one of them.

Politics / Political Management by palmwine(m): 7:54am On Jul 11, 2008
I will post 5 lesson that a good politician show know. Your comment will be welcomed. Find lesson 1 below.

Lesson 1:

A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings.

The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs.

When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbour.

Before she says a word, Bob says, 'I'll give you $800 to drop that towel.'

After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob, after a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves.

The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs.

When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks, 'Who was that?'

'It was Bob the next door neighbour,' she replies.

'Great,' the husband says, 'did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?'

Moral of the story:

If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your stakeholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure.

Politics / Solution To N'delta Promblem From Obasanjo Man by palmwine(m): 7:56pm On Jul 02, 2008
Dele Cole had all the opportunity to make a difference when he was Obj adviser but he didn't. Now he is in Uk writing suggestions. See some of his solutions.

First, we have to put in place a tracking system. This is not a new idea. In 2003, Shell proposed the certification of oil exports based on chemical fingerprinting to prevent stolen oil being sold on the open market. Companies operating in Nigeria have the technology to trace oil to individual flow stations,

Third, the government has to demonstrate political will to gain the support of the local population. They built our modern capital Abuja using one per cent of the federation account. The cities of Port Harcourt, Warri, Eket, Yenagoa and Asaba should look more like Abuja. Look at how Aberdeen grew from North Sea oil, at how the Gulf cities of Doha, Abu Dhabi and Dubai have developed. Get world-class services and infrastructure. Build airports and hotels. Move the offices of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation to the region. Once you change their surroundings, local people will see you are serious and the justification for the insurrection will disappear.
