They all say that it is not religious blah blah !!!

My question is this,

Why is it that no explosions goes off during muslim holidays? no explosions during Salah and other celebrations.

What happened to the report by Wikileaks that emirs stand as guarantors for the arrested boko haram members?

Why did Marilyn Ogar the SSS spokes woman say that they will not prosecute arrested boko harem members but will rather de radicalise them?

Too many double standards in this country. The truth is that boko harem gets tacit encouragement from the northern elite the Sultan inclusive.
Politics / Re: Court Sentences Boko Haram's Ex-spokesperson To 3 Years In Prison by palmwine(m): 4:14pm On Dec 06, 2011
You must find out what charges the police brought against. The court will only convict a man based on the charges. How long a jail term is is dependent in part on the prosecution.

Don't blame the court, the same lame charges was brought against Ndume.

Politics / Re: Boko Haram Busted Or Conspiracy To Cover Sss Weakness? by palmwine(m): 2:22pm On Nov 23, 2011
My Concern is SSS has no evidence on anyone yet! guy may turn around to say he was made to confess under duress. Its his word against Ndume. The investigation is sloppy.

SSS Shuold have kept it all away from the media. Make the guy turn state witness offer him protection and use him against all Boko Haram cells in the north. Remember that this organisation is high decentralise.

SSS rushed to the media too soon, can someone tell Marilyn Ogar that the SSS is not and advertising agency but a security service.

Nothing will come out of this investigation it is too sloppy.

Business / Re: Naira Now N166 To $1. Can Someone Tell Me What Is Happening? by palmwine(m): 7:51am On Jul 14, 2011
The CBN recently sent a circular to all Banks limiting the amount of forex that a bank can sell to $250,000.00/per day. This has naturally created scarcity and the price of all forex will rise becuase even when baks buy, it is more lucrative to sell to black market dealers.

Imagine a GTBank or a Zenith Bank being ablt to just sell only $250,000.00 a day.

It's like saying that all Mobil filling station shuold not sell more that 250,000.00 litres of Petrol a day nationwide. just think about it for a miunte.

Politics / Re: Senate President and Bankole throws punches by palmwine(m): 2:14pm On Nov 20, 2009
Sources at the National Assembly told the Nigerian Tribune that the Senate was particularly angry that the House of Representatives breached the agreements reached by the two chambers in respect of the early passage of the 2009 budget in December 2008.

The Senate was also said to have been angered by undue activism of the House of Representatives on the procedure to be adopted for the planned review of the 1999 Constitution.

Members of the House of Representatives walked out of a retreat in Minna, Niger State, on January 16, follo-wing disagreements on the leadership of the Joint Committee on Constitution Review (JCCR).

Members of the House had insisted that the Deputy Speaker, Honourable Bayero Nafada, be designated as co-chairman of the JCCR instead of vice chairman that had been the convention in the National Assembly since 1999.

A source said Mark, who is the chairman of the National Assembly, was not impressed by the manner in which the leadership of the House painted the Senate as having failed to do a thorough work on the 2009 budget in December 2008, after the upper chamber had fulfilled the agreement to give the budget accelerated passage.

According to sources, the plan was to ensure that the budget was ready by January 1, 2009, so that the presidency would have no excuse on its implementation.

“We agreed to pass the budget early enough and before the end of the year so that Nigerians could start having dividends of democracy early in the year, but after passing it at the Senate, the House reneged on the agreement and started painting the Senate as if we didn’t do a thorough job on the budget.

“At the end of it all, the delay they caused to the budget did not yield any significant change,” a source said.

It was gathered, however, that the Senate President also proposed some amendments to the sitting arrangement in the chamber.

He was said to have declared that since the constitution guaranteed him the power to preside over joint sessions, he would be the only one seated on the presiding table if the session would hold.

Sources at the closed session held by the Senate on Thursday also confirmed to the Nigerian Tribune that the Senate President complained to his collea-gues that Bankole refused to pick his phones in his attempts to resolve the logjam between the Senate and the House.

In spite of watertight security arrangement put in place at the National Assembly complex on Thursday, President Umaru Yar’Adua, who was expected to present the 2010 budget proposals, failed to make an appearance, leading to indefinite postponement of the exercise.

The presidency and the National Assembly management, led by Mr. Yemi Ogunyomi, had made the security arrangements to guarantee the safety of President Yar’Adua, but unresolved rancour between the Senate and House of Representatives stalled the presentation.

What your pix says to me: If your personality could be summed up in the title of a movie, it would be Will Smith’s 2006 film, In Pursuit of Happyness. Bliss and cheerfulness are central to your being – While other people acquire stuff to be happy, you are prepared to give up stuff to be happy. While some people are inclined to be self-centered and self-absorbed, you are on the opposite end of the spectrum – You tend to be altruistic and selfless. You desire to be forthright and candid in what you do and how you do it. You wish to be seen for who you truly are. You are tirelessly action-oriented and your measure yourself by the efforts invested in a task – You do not shy away from the heavy-lifting required to get things done. Because you are optimistic, you may tend to overestimate abilities (of yourself and others); a dose of objectivity will produce desired results. Finally, you are judged by others to be friendly, intelligent, accommodating and approachable – Your adept use of these traits sets you apart as a gregarious fellow with higher-than-average contacts in his social network.
