Christianity EtcRe: Why Pastor Bakare Left Deeper Life Church: Television! by Pamcrest(f): 10:00pm On Nov 04, 2014
grin Devil's box......d rejected stone has become d cornerstone....television evangelism now d in-thing! I heard d story of a man who joined Deeper Life n began distributing his "devil's property" (tv, radio, jewelry, carvings, paintings, even clothes) to his neighbors n friends. But a few years down d line, he got reborn again, saw another light n began asking for his property back. Of course no one obliged him. Some out rightly denied collecting anything from him sef. Too much religiousity is unhealthy!

RomanceRe: Funny Thing(s) You Did Because A Girl Says 'No' by Pamcrest(f): 9:38pm On Nov 04, 2014
Men also cry! An highly emotional situation can move a guy to cry....nth unusual in that! Crying is a natural human reaction....why do we associate it to only women or see it as a weakness in men? This is why many men bottle up their emotions n then turn mean, heartless n wicked!
Back to op, I have witnessed such cases of rejection concerning my brothers. I see them laugh it off or start dissing d girl or vow to date her friend to spite her! They would huff n puff and they never cried, at least not in public. Then one day I caught one of my brothers locked up in his room, crying while reading a "Dear John" letter he had just received. I was moved with pity for him but to my surprise, by d time he came out, he was all bravado, bragging to his other brothers. I simply looked on in amazement.....who's fooling who! His secret is still safe with me though grin

grin That is a guy who sees his wife as his meal ticket. What a condition for reconciliation. Better tell yr friend she doesn't have a husband oh! Unless there's more to d story than she's letting on...otherwise that man has some sinister ulterior motives to his request.

It shows she's a good designer but it's not my ideal design for a home.....d colour theme doesn't do it for me either. I like big spaces n bright lively colours. But it's her home, her style, her taste. I think she will be able to satisfy her clients' varied requirements.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: How Do I Boost My Self-Confidence At Job Interviews? by Pamcrest(f): 1:06pm On Nov 04, 2014
Some practical tips we give:
- as u enter n sit down, take some deep breaths to calm yr nerves. Sit upright, don't slouch on d chair, keep yr hands off d table
- scan d faces of d panel (interviewers)
- listen carefully to d question u are being asked......look directly at d person asking d questions
- don't rush to answer.....think of yr answer before replying (except its a straight forward question)
- answer only d question put to u, don't be verbose
- for self confidence, maintain eye contact. When u feel flustered, don't fidget or bow yr head....u may lower yr gaze but keep yr head up at all times.

Above all, start practicing your composure now.....Use yr mirror n family members or friends. By d time u get an interview, u would have mastered what works for u. I wish u good luck.

PoliticsRe: 16 Rivers PDP Guber Aspirants Spit Fire Over PEJ Meddlesome, threaten To Dump PDP by Pamcrest(f): 12:42pm On Nov 04, 2014
I'm still confused about what this Patience thinks her role is? She summons govt officials, party officials n private individuals at will. She has carried d next elections on her head, going around trying to impose candidates n influence voters. She went to Oyo state n told d pdp leaders there that they should support Ladoja because none of them can win elections anyway. grin
Now she's in Rivers state.....Abia state is her next destination. Na wa for this woman oh.....overstepping her boundary unchallenged.

FamilyRe: Does Being A " Good African Wife"= Suffering? by Pamcrest(f): 12:10am On Nov 04, 2014
I don't think suffering defines a good African wife. Yes our culture depicts a good wife as that one who can do all those chores among other things but modern women still get d same tasks done with their gadgets. Our husbands too are moving with d times as some of them buy these gadgets for their homes. Now that wives are expected to also work n contribute to d family expenses, any help she can get with house chores is welcome.

EducationRe: Male Teachers Vs Female Teachers: Are Women Better Teachers Than Men? by Pamcrest(f): 1:52am On Nov 03, 2014
Women are natural born teachers by creation....God made it so. Therefore I would think when a woman chooses teaching as a profession, she would excel in it better than her male counterparts given her natural gift of teaching, coaching n counseling. But having said this, it doesn't mean all women can teach in a classroom because several other factors come into play. I personally preferred the male teachers in my sec school simply because they were gentler on us than d female ones who we thought were too strict for our liking. My Maths/Physics teacher in form 3 (a male) made me start taking a deeper interest in those subjects till I mastered n excelled in them. Within a short period, I switched from Arts to Science oriented.

HealthRe: Mums: Would You Consider An Epidural? by Pamcrest(f): 1:23am On Nov 03, 2014
rebella:
Thanks aisha2 for this, I've been reading up on the pros and cons of epidural and its definitely something I would consider, but I will wait till the pain becomes unbearable before asking for it to be administered.
If my memory serves me well, I think epidural needs to be administered before d pain "becomes unbearable" ooo......infact before d pain begins at all.......there's a specific period when u will be told it's too late to get it. But I stand to be corrected.

Back to op, I think women issues have evolved over time to where a woman can now decide what n how she chooses to get pregnant, carry or not carry d pregnancy, how delivery is carried out, etc. From IVF to surrogacy to gestational carrier.....d choices are getting more interesting by d day. I hear nowadays more women are opting for CS rather than go through d hassles of labour n natural delivery. it's her baby, it's her body.....The most important thing is having a healthy baby and happy mother at d end of d process!

Actually it is ideal to speak a language with d accent of d owners if u can achieve it. I mean think about how yr language sounds when a non indigene speaks it with his own native accent...imagine that thick Igbo accent and d Ekiti flavour in spoken English or when some Yorubas speak Hausa ....not nice on d ears!
My grouse is when u are forcing d accent....arrrrggghhh. If u can't do it well, then quit trying n stop making a fool of yourself

Beey:
Ladies please don't go cooking.Cooking grin doen't guarantee that he'll marry you. If you cook & do laundry & play the role of a wife, if the relationship doesn't work out in the end it means you gonna feel very hurt & used.If he wonna taste my cooking, I can do it at my place, because I know men wonna know if their women can cook before popping the big question. It shouldn't be an expectation though,I cook coz I want to and under odd circumstsnces such as sickness. However, I promised myself to never be found in a man's kitchen, cooking for him if am not his wife.Boyfriends are not supposed to be enjoying husband privileges. That's why they are just boyfriends. After all,If one is freely getting milk, why buy the cow anyway?#Ladieslearn.
I agree! These same men expecting a gf to cook for them on another thread will vow not to do certain things for a gf simply because she's not his wife.....hypocrisy or male chauvinism! grin

RomanceRe: Should A Lady Cook For The Guy She's Dating? by Pamcrest(f): 11:05pm On Oct 31, 2014
Interesting topic. Methinks it depends on d lady. I never cooked for my bfs, I never saw d need to visit him n start cooking....for what naa...that isn't in d T&Cs of our relationship. When we are hungry we go out to eat or just nibble on snacks around his house. When he visits me, same thing. It used to amuse me when I see my friends cooking, cleaning n doing laundry for a bf! And then after some months, d affair is all over, so what was d essence of all that labour of "love"? It's more rewarding cooking for my husband n kids.....taking good care of my family, not slaving for a "waka come waka go" grin

Your people want u back indeed.....didn't u almost lose d court case challenging your last election but for money changing hands at d last minute? PoliticsRe: We Are Not Planning To Field A Muslim-muslim Ticket – APC by Pamcrest(f): 5:13pm On Oct 29, 2014
I'm so relieved Fashola won't be running with this man because no matter how hard Buhari tries to distance himself from the toga of "religious extremist", we still remember his erstwhile utterances n body language that were unambiguously anti-Christian. For this singular reason he won't get my vote....I prefer Kwakwanso, if all else fails! A ticket of Muslim-Muslim or otherwise will not work in today's Nigeria...we are no longer in 1993!

darqly:
Let me digress a little-
Here, you contradict yourself. You claim Fashola succeeds in Lagos ONLY because of the resources at his disposal, but there's little he can do as president, where he has access to far more resources?? It goes without saying that if you're faithful in little, you'd be faithful in much. Lastly, by whatever indices performance is gauged, Fashola has acquitted himself decently at state level. This is much more than can be said for a host of other governors and even the president.
Well said!

God will not answer any prayers that seek to laden Nigerians perpetually with inept leadership, mismanagement n corruption IJN.
