Op, many Nigerian drivers actually are guilty of these infractions....they don't know there's something called driving etiquette, many never went to driving school anyway. The worst offenders though are the commercial vehicle drivers - bus/danfo/taxi even okada!
If u even try to correct them, u get insulted.

PS- u forgot not respecting the pedestrians' right of way, speeding over zebra crossing and around school zones, running the red lights, etc. I guess we need driving reorientation and retraining in this country

Pple should stop being dramatic...we all do this when hugging a person who's sitting down naa. All I see is a friendly hug, and even if there's a peck, it tells u that they are friends n perhaps haven't seen each other in a while, hence d excitement.

I hate jungle justice BUT sometimes I have wished someone would give some hot slaps to those danfo drivers who annoy with their senseless driving. And when u protest, they proceed to abuse u.

It's better to scan before u laminate, it looks better and more original when u print it out.

Op, scan it and save it. Then laminate the original certificate to preserve it. Whenever u need to give out original copies, just print out d scanned copy on colour printer. I have seen it done and it was accepted.

Op, I understand your plight...my mum was like that. My saving grace was my dad who, though he doted on me as his only daughter, yet he gave me free rein to come n go as I pleased. It was his level of trust in my ability to always do d right thing, he tells me often that he knows he brought up his children well.
However I join your mum to say No to this trip....is it not to d North? With the insecurity level around that area pls scrap this trip. But try and secure your mum's trust, that's d only way u can break free from her apron strings. I do tell parents that they need some balance with these restrictions because I have seen cases where it became counter productive. A parent needs to show trust in their wards, advise them often but allow them to be responsible n make their own mistakes, that's d way to learn fast. At a certain age, talk alone is not enough, let d child make his/her own experiences. If he falls, he learns d lesson and learns to move on!

I do not support immorality, but wwho are you to judge the woman who was deceived into sex by a man or the lady who gets raped? What about the girl who has nobody in this world and turns to prostitution for survival? Also, the lady who committed thae "serial abortions" was abandoned by her boyfriend who promised to stand by her (he forced her to give him se.x, promised to take care of her if she gets pregnant and when she tells him about her pregnancy, he takes off). Some poeple are victims of unfair circumstances you know. In the bid to judge them, show some compassion, find out the underlying reasons for their behaviour and don't just strategise, actually help them become responsible and Godly.
Jesus Christ said to the mob about to stone the adulterous woman to death "let he who is without sin cast the first stone". In essence, you have sinned by judging people who sinned against God. The Holy Bible says "judge not, so that you won't be judged"
Help people find their way to God, do not make them flee from God. Our righteousness is as filthy rags before God.
