IMO You can do either of these 2 things:
1. Apply for aPGD, PhD and masters to several schools. E.g. Ph.D in school A and masters in School B. If you gain admission into both, you can then decide which 1 you will love to go to; or
2 use the express entry route.

APPLY TO SEVERAL SCHOOLS. ADMISSION ISN'T AUTOMATIC.

If you get admitted into more than one, you can then choose to use the higher one for your visa application and change if you need to ( I am not sure if this is possible but I think it is)
Thats a good one. Yes he can switch schools.

Dear gurus in d house. I have tried to go thru the previous threads doh not all but permit me to say that I have gained the basic knowledge on how to go about my visa application. Una do well oo. however, I just created my NL account today and need your kind and sincere advice. I want to assure you that I haven't come to take you guys back on questions that have been asked and thrashed in previous threads. All I ask for is ur kind opinions.

I hv a BSC in economics and an MBA from a uni here in naija. Been working with a bank for 10 years until the so called wind of change caused my bank to downsize early this month and I was affected. That was when the canny dream came up.

The issue is that of the program to go for right now to avoid VO's delaying my application. My sister suggested that I go for a PGD in global business management at humber college but I find it rather absurd to go for a pgd after an MBA. She also suggested that I discard my MBA and go for another in Canada. I have also realized that most masters programs in business require a GMAT score which I don't have.

Please can someone with a heart of Gold offer a kind word of advice here in terms of possible programs related to my field that I can look thru. Please assist. Thank yo
Hello,

Sorry about the job loss. We pray things get better in our country, nigeria.

In my opinion, PGC could be hard to convince the V.O considering your level of experience but peeps have gotten same with good Sop.
Going for a 2ND MBA is not a bad idea with specialization in your field of interest, say management, financial operations. entrepreneurship option etc. But bear in mind these programs are expensive.
Yes, most schools requires GMAT, it will do you good if you can write so you have lots of options to choose from.
Also, some schools waives the gmat if you have a strong UG cgpa , a masters and with your years of experience.
Please do more research to see the options best for you.
I wish you all the best.
**check omooba2015 posts, the school doesnt require GMAT but I think wes evaluation. Laurentian university. UNB waives also if you meet the stated requirements on their site.

I think I responded to something like this some couple of days back when I shared my experience as to the fact that it is possible you have to send a mail to accraimmigrations to answer your queries or proceed to do a fresh medical test.

I wonder how @thesoj , @tinuola and @thebae will be feeling wherever they at the rate peeps here just ask question and do not bother reading so as to arm themselves with right hand experience of others. To think some are going for graduates studies in Canada and behave this way?
It is annoying to say the least. Little wonder the former gurus do not bother coming angryhere to render help.

I am sure someone somewhere will also take my response personal and respond vehemently, bring it on. I am already a silent observer anyways.
Guys, haba, let us read up. It is really unfair when you ask questions that have been dealt with before
@bosypumpin,

Nice 1
Ohh , really didnt know you observed that too. Its nausating.
People are só lazy now adays you even have to tell them how to spell their names correctly. People keep repeating questions that hás been answered severally.
For goodness sake, we are graduates and High schools holder.
Google is our friend, please lets use it.
Simply Read the thread back and you find answers to most of your questions/enquiries if you cant use the internet.
Please, lets grow up and make this thread a better one.
To all diligent trv hopefuls.

I just got a refusal mail from CIC.

Exactly 8 week today i suppose.

Only reason is purpose of visit.(it has been my worst fear cos i know i perfectly ticked all other boxes before applying).

I knew with my status at work they would expect me to apply for MBA and not PGC. I'm not so surprised.

Abi una sabi any school wey go give me MBA admission with HND? On a serious note, if any, let me know.

I will apply for Gcms, and see what the VO said and refire for the last time!

Best of Luck guys
Hello,

Sorry about that.

As regards MBA, with a gmat you will bê better off with your HND.

You can also check up Royal roads university for masters in global biz mgt. And university of newbrunswick for the MBA.

All the Best

Hello wonderful people

Please I have some disturbing questions with respect to my student permit application. Kindly assist to shed more light on them.them . God bless you all as you did.

1. If my uncle will be making a fund transfer (meant for my Msc school fees and other expenses in Canada) into my account, do I still need to tender is account statement or just an explanation letter will be enough?

2. I'm planning to present my studst permit application with my Msc in Global Business Management from Humber College. My undergraduates was in Economics with working experience in banking. Does anyone have any reservations or suggestions with these combinations or Humber College as a school?

3.Can anyone suggest a school that accept unofficial transcripts with no GRE/GMAT for Msc Economics?

Thank you all.
Hello,
As a sponsor you should include his statement.

Msc? In Humber College?

Most schools waives gmat for Eco, but admissions are closed for fall 2016 sessions. Read up requirements for the uni you interested in and mail the graduate cordinators

All the Best.

Hi house,

I have a 2.2 in Accounting, Masters in HR from a UK uni and over 5 years working experience in HR. I want to apply for an MBA and I understand most or if not all Canadian schools accept a minimum of 2.1. Please, does anyone know of any school in Canada that is likely to overlook my 2.2 degree? If none, I will appreciate advice on how to go about my application for an MBA in Canada. Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Check up University of New Brunswick, requires 2.1 though but they could have an option for you considering your masters and experience. Check up the MBA program and mail the coordinator.
All the best.

Hello Uncles and Aunts, I have been a close oberver of this thread for a long time and I want your advice about my brother's issue. He submitted his Application for a study permit via paper route on March 18th and got a medical call April 4th. Medical was undergone by April 7th. He got an email from Immigration Canada on Monday April 18th that his processed passport has been Dispatched from the Canada Visa office in Accra to the Canada Visa Applicatiob Centre on 18-04-2016.

My Question is; Does Canada approve visa even though no email was sent upfront to confirm this. We are really worried there is a problem since we did not get an email confirming that the Visa has been approved before the Passport was dispatched back to Nigeria

Thank you all for your response
Hello,
Hmm, miracle still happens. Let him pick up his docs, you will know the status.

Have you uploaded all the documents you need to? If you have not it won't show you submit button.
When filling the questionnaire did you answer yes to medical? If yes and you didn't do upfront medical just cancel the application and start another application from another questionnaire to generate another code, then proceed to new application.
@Temzybabe..if he didn't answer yes to upfront medical part won't show up and I think it's better for him to start another application than to put "Medical report will be updated upon request"
Ohh, that's true.
If he answers yes to upfront medical, he needs to attach the e-medical form given at the clinic ,

I'm sure it's because the medical part is empty. It happened to me too. You must put something in it. Just write something like 'medical report would be updated upon request'.. You write it the way you write stuffs under Microsoft Word, then you convert to pdf. Then upload it under the medical part. Do you understand? If you don't put
something there u won't be able to continue

How come it's not solid enough for a tie ? I've applied several times for Visas (not necessarily a Student Visa) and I've included my Rental Agreements. That plus studies has only been my tie to any country that I've lived in. You just never know.
In terms of Student Visa applications, it may not really hold ground as it's a long term visa. This is helpful only when you apply for a Visitor's visa. I wouldn't count a lot on it though but it's not harmful to throw it out there too.
For student visa, it's a NO.NO. not a tie
