Have you people vowed to something not to return back to your region and develop it? The recent INEC voter register showed that the 5SE states are more populated that the 5W states, excluding Lagos. In Lagos, the population of Igbos should be at least 30%. On what empirical fact are you asking us to go back, when we have a sizeable percentage as stated earlier at home doing. We need them to stay where they are while we are working to make the SE states the factory of Nigeria and West Africa, They will form our distribution networks across Nigeria and WA. By 2033, if we are still in one nation, we would have developed at least 50,000 factories in 5SE. We are building airports and about 3 of our airports will become international soon, to attract the world to our home. We have finalized plan on our railway connections to our closest Seaport in the Interim, and a plan in place for ours. Electricity generation is already settled, we only need to put distributions lines accordingly. We are ready for the Aku Luo Uno and by the nest 10 years, Nigeria will see how far we have gone Adios |

PointB: Dear Tinubu,
A storm is coming; a big storm. Bigger than what many of your advisers and hangers-on care to let you in on. This court case portend a clear and present danger to you. It threatens to expose all that you have 'worked' tirelessly over the years to bury. Dead bodies of yester years, injuries that've healed, and scars that have been covered. These are all game in the storm to come.
Is it worth it that in your old age, you want to drag yourselves through this storm, this mud, and be remembered for things that are less than stellar? Is it worth it for your wife (cos her name was conspicuously mentioned in the drugs case). Let's say both of you are hardened and would not care for anything beyond your 'emilokan' ambition, what about poor Seyi? He seems a likeable kid, full of passion and energy, one for the future. Would you like to damage him too, in this brickbat of litigation that is coming.
Even before the first word of this case is uttered in the formal court, the court of public opinion (read public opprobrium) will first scrutinize every letter of the judgement and vent their frustration and anger on you, and eventually your family. Is it worth it? For you, for Remi, for Seyi? They call you strategist, think! Cos this tactical manoeuvre, will come with strategic blunder. You still have your Lagos, for now!
Let's assume, you don't care about how this impact you and your family. What about your ethnic group? Your countrymen, your nation? How will these rub off on them? And then, there is a small matter of the international community? How would they perceive you, win or lose? How will they see the country Nigeria? What message are we passing to them about ourselves as a people after the potentially damaging court case? They are already brandishing Visa bans left and right. What next after the court cases?
Sun Tzu said, the best war is the one that was never fought. An anonymous philosopher once said, "No matter how far you have walked on the wrong road, turn back!" Let me advise you in Yoruba proverb -"IGI GOGORO MA GUN MI LOJU, OKEERE LA TI N WO" (Literal Translation: For a sharp twig not to pluck out your eyes, you must yell out from a far distance. You have to be proactive to avoid errors /disasters /tragedy. )
Once you enter the ring with Peter Obi, in the name of election tribunal, win or lose, YOU lose! Remi loses, Seyi loses. Save them by saving yourselves. Do not besiege a walled city - Sun Tzu.
Give it up, all of it, for Peter Obi, for the South. Win, by losing!
Sincerely,
Indefatigable
PointB After reading your perfectly crafted piece, I can feel only but pity for the President-Elect. I heard he is actually a good man, talent hunter and has good disposition on issues; However, i feel that NW set him up to fail and Obi doesn't take prisoners in court Tinubu will surely fight till the end, unfortunately, it can only end in disgrace, but who will tell the pope |

Politics › Re: Peter Obi Outsmarts Tinubu, Shettima And INEC.. by pandax: 1:40pm On Mar 22, 2023 |
Elemosho478: You get it
That's exactly what happened when they linked the funds in Tinubu's account to drugs.
They seized it with civil fufeiture but then Tinubu challenged them in court when the case was dragging on the law enforcement agency and Tinubu opted for out of court settlement and Tinubu forfeited 460,000$ out of the 1.4 million dollars confiscated.
The reason must be because neither Tinubu nor the law enforcement agency have the sufficient evidence to prove their case. Tinubu could not totally prove the money was not linked to Drugs and the agency could not also prove the money was linked to drugs to confiscate the whole 1.4 million dollar.
So he forfeited 460,000$ in one account and they released the rest.
Note if the law enforcement agency filed a criminal case against you in the USA you can not settle out of court even if you entered a Plea Bargain, the judge will still sentence you but they will skip the trial and perhaps reduce the punishment and sentence.
And under USA federal law there is no way you will only lose just half of your confiscated assets just because you entered a plea bargain for drug related crimes in the US. When you entered plea bargain you have already admitted that you are guilty of the crimes.
It is impossible that the sentence would just be losing half of your confiscated money without even any jail term even if you entered plea bargain for drug related crimes in the US. He paid a fine of $460k in lieu of prison sentence, according to the Petition |

Britishpea: What the poster wrote are all jargons.
Did he know what the legal teams of Tinubu were thinking or filing in defense? He kept seeing Obi as someone who came from Jupiter.
All the drug case brouhaha had been long foreseen by Tinubu’s camp and they knew that either Obi or Atiku was going to file it. This is why Tinubu hasn’t addressed it. Catch your enemy by surprise. Tinubu had gotten mandates for about 5 governors in Nigeria including an opposition governor to his party. He knows about the court processes more than Obi.
The same Obi is making the prayer to be ambiguous yet you claimed he knew what he’s doing. Asking the court to declare him as the winner and at the same time asking the court to cancel the whole election.
Where is the sense. You keep hyping Obi who’s confused already. His only case here is that of Shettima which both Shettima and Tinubu didn’t disclose to anyone yet if Shettima resigned from being a senator before he accepted the VP SLOT.
However, both Goodluck Jonathan, Namadi Sambo and Atiku became Vps in this country while they were governors without first resigning.
Courts give judgement based on histories, evidences and witnesses not because they love your face. I thought you were a lawyer initially, but after reading your penultimate paragraph, i wouldn't assume again. This is because, a lawyer should have known about s35 of 2022 electoral act, as amended |

N3TRAL: The law does not tell INEC to set out guidelines. It states in section 60(5), that the results will be transmitted in a manner prescribed by INEC. That is an administrative power. As long as the law is silent about transmission, manual transmission is not a substantial irregularity.
The guideline is an administrative guide by the INEC chairman to guide his staff and political parties. Just like he promised on TV or wherever, he can change it. It his discretion. According to section 135 of the ACT, it isn't enough to cancel the results of the election. If you argue right court will declare Obi as elected AND if you argue left court will bar Tinubu and order a re-run. The choice is yours |

Shettima was PICKED for VP, he was not elected, he never contested for it.
Electoral Law did not say you cannot be picked.

Tinubu should just allow me to defend him. He shouldn't disturb Olanipekun, Fagbemi, and Olujimi and the rest 47 SANs. Please read s35 of the electoral act; perhaps, slowly this time. On what ground would you say INEC should disqualify a candidate and not eligible to contest.
That INEC should disregard the vote of the 1st and 2nd respondent, and hence declare the 1st petitioner as the winner. Then what should Atiku that came 2nd with over 6.8m votes do?
I think some SANs need to think deeply before filing a petition because these are pre-election matters than is the responsibility of the party not the opposition.
Well, it would be interesting to see the outcome of the Tribunal but honestly I expected something solid from the Obi's legal team and not this joke.
