IDENNAA:Welcome aboard. Standard is everything, I cannot emphasize less on that. Obiano really disappointed me. I expected much more from him with finesse in finishing, but he towed the line of typical Nigerian Politicians of awarding infrastructural contracts to cronies without any expertise. The result is what we are seeing allover the state. Look at open drainages everywhere in Awka and Onitsha. No single dual carriageway done by state government of any road above 5km. I really hope Soludo or Maduka will up the ante of quality in Anambra development. |
oneeast3:There is no point abusing people who have a contrary opinion to yours on issues. You do not know who I am and I do not know who you are in the society, so why don't we maintain decorum. I understand you were paid to do a job, and on the basis of what you have displayed, thus this far, I do not think you explicitly have the required attributes to deliver. I repeat we might have Africa best Airport by design, but we cannot build African best Airport as being trumpeted with IDC as the contractor- take that to the bank I agree with you that we need to up the ante/raise the bar in the next ballot - Prof Soludo is good, so is Dr Mmaduka (Let Ndi Anambra decide); On my part, I can lend my expertise to either of them when called upon. I will equally agree with you that Ngige, Obi and Obiano tried, but their best are not good enough for us, we need to raise the bar VERY high Take care my friend |
oneeast3:Just to keep the record straight, I am no other person other than Pandax as used and stated. The state will move forward if we accept constructive criticism and challenging of people in Authority to perform as elected and not worship them as sycophants. I do not wish to become the Governor at anytime, as it's not my calling; but, I would like to go to Abuja, as HOR to my make sure we pass a particular bill - Capital Punishment for Corruption and Embezzlement of Public Fund exceeding N10,000. |
mktinsight:I am happy that another person has a similar mindset as mine. I hate and abhor mediocrity, which could manifest in substandard quality in anything, especially when it comes to infrasturatural development. If we intend or aim to be the best, we will have to behave better than the best - Dubai did, so we can. The three(3) Awka FLYOVERS were poorly designed and executed and therefore not fit for purpose, especially the ones at Aroma & Amawbia junctions. I will recommend DEMOLITION as a simple OVER PASS would have been ideal at these two(2) locations. In Business Analysis parlance, the delivered solution has 'Solution Limitations', imagine delivered FLYOVERS constituting HOLDUP it was meant to solve. The reward for a good work is more work. Why will the same IDC that did substandard flyovers at Awka be allowed to participate in building the Airport?. Julius Berger is doing a Federal Project in Anambra State now, at least for the next two(2) years; Use them to open up the state with properly designed and constructed dual/triple carriageways. They have the money, give it to them on PPP or any other model and toll the roads. It will be a win-win for both parties as they do not need to MOBILIZE to Anambra again My Brother, I am a little bit disappointed with Obiano. I expected more from him, but he is punching below the belt. The reason why he delayed until twilight of his tenure to start Airport, ICC and Awka Stadium, I do not understand. Aside the not fit-for-purpose flyovers at Awka, name one significant infrastructure done by him. Its all motion and no movement inspite of the huge money left by Obi for him. I can understand Obi lack of Landmark Projects because he was busy sharpening the saw; unfortunately, he couldn't cut down the tree, but he saved a lot for the state in financial investment I hate charlatan, I pray the next Governor of Anambra will start thinking global big time and not this our Nigeria dick-measuring. |
Rocksvibes234: AsomughaChuks05:Please that Anambra Airport irrespective of whom it will be named after, though I would have preferred Chinua Achebe International or Emeka Ojukwu International Airport or Simply Anambra International Airport, should be gazetted as Onitsha and not unknown Umueri to enhance its popularity, otherwise people might be using Asaba Airport to access Onitsha cum Anambra If Anambra State Government is smart enough, they should build a clover-leaf FLYOVER at the Airport Road junction on Onitsha/Awka Expressway (perhaps at Umunya or Awkuzu axis) and extend a virgin dual or more road perpendicular to Awka/Onitsha expressway cutting through Awka/Onitsha old road( perhaps through OYI, Njikoka, Idemmili ) and join the new Owerri Interchange at Obosi(being constructed by JB); with a spur somewhere at Idemili to the centre of Nnewi via a dual carriage way and burst out at Okija with another clover-leaf FLYOVER on Owerri/Onitsha expressway Road, Okija Secondly, dualize the 33 Road to the Airport. Futuristically speaking, discuss with Delta State Government to build a TOLLED 3rd Niger Bridge cutting through North of Asaba and North of Onitsha(Anambra West/EastAxis) then join 33 Road to it and take it to Kogi en route Abuja. Thirdly, from Esther Obiakor junction at Awka/Enugu Expressway do another clover-leaf FLYOVER that will pass through the Virgin lands of Ifite Awka, Awka North to Anambra East to join the 33 Road/the proposed 3rd Niger Bridge Road to Kogi with a spur to the Airport. Then go back to Esther Obiakor junction Clover-leaf flyover at Awka and extend it Southwards through perhaps Awka South, Orumba and burst out somewhere around Lokpanta on PH/Enugu Expressway ( discuss the modalities with Abia State Government) Finally dualize Awka Amawbia, Nibo, Nise, Agulu, Nanka, Ekwuloba to Uga Road with a spur to Nnewi Open up the state with dual or more carriageways, toll them and people will pay, the state is too congested and choking. Then, boom you will see developments in quantum. Source for funds from anywhere and Toll these Roads, Ndi Anambra will pay to use. By my modest estimation it could be done with 300B (excluding the cost of the proposed 3rd Niger Bridge) considering the small size of the state landmass-wise |

Viewing Centre!. How many Nigerians still go to Browsing Centres/Cybercafes these days with the proliferation of cheap data plans everywhere or EVEN pay to make calls under umbrellas as it were a few years ago?. Kekereekun123: |
THINK: You might want to drop prices to attract more customers to leverage If I acquire EPL rights for Nigeria only @$75m for 5 years(i.e $15m per year) AND I have 1m subscribers paying 4k per month = 4,000*12*1,000,000 = N48b = $106.7m (at $1 = N450) To make equivalent of the above or more, I will simply drop my prices to increase my subscription base (2m), it is not rocket science if my price per month becomes 2k instead of the usual 4k , it becomes: 2,000*12*2,000,000 = N48b = $106.7m (at $1 = N450) Its simply greed on the part of Multichoice and nothing else. They are fortunate I am not in the decision making position on this issue Kekereekun123: |
97% and 5% simply mean that Buhari nee APC got 97% in NW and got 5% in SS/SE; SO Mathematically and Statistically, it is correct. Chikena! Racoon: |

Never play with this Psalm. I prayed an aggressive prayer with this Psalm around 1.00am and a big tree fell down in the compound without breeze, wind or rain. The next couple of days I became free from my spiritual induced sickness/ailment. There is still power in the blood of Jesus, go to Him and He will set you free IJN Thevisualchef: |
I reside in PH and not abroad. In fact the cost of PGS & IVF has gone down now. There are clinics like Nordica, Bridge and the rest in Nigeria that can comfortably carry out the procedure with their foreign partners. it is doable. I married my wife with my last N1m in my account and I knew that we were not compatible because of our genotype. I love her and was able to do it because we did not tell anyone except my mother-in-law who supported us. Till today, we have not done white wedding as most churches refused wedding us. I told my wife to follow me that God will see us through. Today, I have tens of millions within 2 years of marriage and my healthy triplets are on the way. Maybe, after delivery we will go back and see if churches will wed us. AloneTK: |
My dear, I am As and married AS as well. There is a procedure called PGS ( Pre-Implantation Genetic Screening) to be followed by IVF ( In vitro fertilisation), It could be done in Nigeria with a cost of N5m maximum; though we did ours in Eastern Europe and presently my wife is in her 7th month of pregnancy ( 1AS Boy, 1AA Girl & 1AABoy) Alternatively, if trhe girl is below 28 years they could go for a procedure called CVS( chorionic villus sampling) or another one called 'amniocentesis' to determine the genotype of the foetus within 12 weeks and a D&C could be carried out if unfavourable. God has given us wisdom, use it wisely DopeAngel: |
VastFinder:Since when did Lagos become a city?. The last i checked Lagos is a state like Rivers, Kano, Anambra etc |
You did not tell us if you are obese , what is your BMI? Do you have foul breathe ? Do you ave poor sense of smell? Do an abdominal ultrasound with emphasis on liver, probably fatty liver |
AnamCity:Nice looking flyover no doubt; but each time I look at this flyover i can only think about its limitation. A clover-leaf design would have suited that location the most. The only way that flyover will be fit-for-purpose is to make Ifite Road one-way and do another under pass at 'step' for those of us who are very familiar with the location. How will vehicle coming from Enugu enter Ifite Road, except they are planning to have a Round About to divert and manage the steep turn. |
LadyFiona:The undeniable truth is that your State Governor is not only visiting the site, he is a registered and an active contributing member. I will not disclose his user ID though. Anambra can be the best and in the words of Chino, "We want an Independent State of Anambra". A state that all the conterminous states and beyond will be dependent on. It is achievable, please join hands to spread the Light to the Nation and beyond. God Bless You All and Yes, we can |
