No one deserves to die like that. It doesn't matter what she went there to do. I don't believe the hotel's alibi. It could be a ruse to pretend they did the right thing. In addition to an autopsy, 1. They should check the CCTV footage 2. They should check the information put down for the lodging 3. They should check the last numbers that called her phone and she called 4. Check her account statement Can't imagine what the family of the victim will be passing through |
MoU's are publicity stunts. Several has been signed before yet we are where we are. 24hr electricity is beyond some signatures. They should publish what's in the MoU. If it's promoting the building of power plants in the state and state distribution network in exchange of land and tax incentives, all welcomed. But action needs to follow, MoU's are not contracts. |
But this is a skit na...haba na.... Na so them dey spread rumours sha. No wahala sha, more gist for beer parlour hangout. All these skit makers and bloggers taking gullible people's intelligence for a ride. All said and done, this woman is a very skillful actress honestly, I saw another funny one and she killed it. Just a small matter of time to see her in Nollywood movies. |
He hasn't learnt from MMM yet? Or agro yet? Or them "bring your money let me do crypto/Forex for you" yet? They'll be a lot wiser after this. I wouldn't borrow money to anyone who still believes in these. |
Nonywendy:Lol, it's not anybody I will allow na. |
Nonywendy:I don't understand. Is the person holding a gun? If I'm leaving to work, we are leaving together to part ways. |
Stephen2324:Tell us the story behind it bro. Personally, you can stay for the night, after that, you have to go. |
panini:So this is it! #TeamDIY, #Team_I_NoGoPayShiShi Location: Alausa Total amount spent: 26k Finally I collected my passport today. However, I did get an SMS on Wednesday 5th, that my passport was ready for collection. I arrived there by 10am but the gates weren't opened till much later. I even feared they were not around. After entering and submitting my enrollment ID, I went to sit for about 2 hours before they started calling names. The names being called were for those whose passport were not ready. Some were asked to come next week Wednesday. After that we continued waiting. An officer apologised that today they were few on ground and would take longer in sorting the passports. Finally, about an hour later, they started calling names again for those whose passports were ready. I was called too. We proceeded to the collection room. It didn't take long and I was done. The journey finally ended. I observed some things sha... Observations: 1. Go with your old passport if you are doing re-issue! They no send the man who was ahead of me and didn't bring his old passport. They no listen to am. The man claimed he submitted his old passport in the folder he opened...omooo... They told him to go and look for it. I don't know how that ended, I kuku commot with my own passport jejely. 2. See, all these beliefs that you can't achieve something without paying your away is enabling corruption. Many of them are ready to do their job, but are tempted when people approach them begging them for favours in exchange of cash. A lady begged one of them that she needed the passport bla bla bla, so she wanted to 'fast-track' it. Omo, they'll take your money (many of us here would do same, maybe). Another woman with her kids walked straight into the collection office to meet with Mr. O...., Her passport was in another bunch...(special candidates, I guess). 3. I met a guy who applied with 70k since June. They no see him passport. He was frustrated and complained loudly, started explaining his story to those around (I pity am, but I dey laugh am for my mind. God knows if he'll read this). He was asked to come back next week. Indeed, he's a special candidate. He said he wanted to fast track his passport.... Since June.... After 70k....LMAO. What happened was that the person who worked his passport was not around to release it. Conclusion Let's collective stop this act of greasing hands. Appreciating for a job well done is welcomed, but let's exercise caution. It's hard to say this but Nigeria will work and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Change begins with me. Regards, A non-partisan fellow |
It's funny and all but it leaves me thinking... I no go lend any sh*t to anyone! |
This topic and some comments are demoralising. Left to some people, they'll bring back slavery. If the business model cannot accommodate at least the minimum wage, it's a non viable business model. |
Hello everyone here! My experience at the NIS Passport office. This is to help those who plan to get theirs as those who shared theirs helped me too. Location: Alausa Passport reissue, #TeamDIY I went for capturing today, 01/07. I placed the booking on 01/05. Time: 9:00 am I planned getting there earlier but the rain didn't help matters. I got there exactly 9am and they were calling names already and people were collecting files and going inside. I met the servicom desk to direct me to the appropriate desk. They pointed at the desk opposite their cubicle: The internet registration desk. I went there and asked an officer about the process, she asked me to get a file outside and put my documents inside. I was directed to the VIO car park adjacent the NIS compound. Under a small canopy in the car park, there's a business centre. I bought the file (#500), a 3-page form I saw people filling (#300), they typed and printed my application letter (#300) and a tiny rope to hold perforated papers (#100). The lady there seemed to know the process very well, she helped me arrange the documents and told me the documents I brought that were not needed like the birth certificate and state of origin since it was a reissue (God bless her). I took the folder back to the Internet registration desk and they checked the documents, wrote some things, asked me to write a few things. They pointed at a door behind a glass and asked me to take my file there. I took it there and met another officer who checked some things in my original passport and the photocopies I brought and handed everything back to me. I took it again to the Internet Registration Desk and they told me that there are 2 other steps that will need to take place before I can get the file back to go for capturing. She asked me to exercise patience and come back in 2 hours. Lol. She said because of the crowd present. I went back to the business centre and they asked me to wait at the NIS office, so that my file won't be misplaced. (Again, God bless her and her colleague). I went back and in 30 minutes, my name was called to collect my file and go for capturing. I collected my file and sat inside. The qeue was moving despite the number of people inside. It may have been an hour of waiting before I finally got to the capturing room. I was captured, got my enrollment form and en route home! Left around 1. Looking forward to the best. The date of collection written on the enrollment form says 01/08. Let's see if it is. Selah. |
Once upon a time Eduardo of Arsenal. That terrible injury ended his career very early. |
Anything goes in this country. Buy certificates, buy assignments, buy projects... But sure, the government is at fault. |
The key thing is to not be too quick to react to news seen online. |
Slim ladies naturally have it. I'm attracted to slim ladies but I don't notice the collarbones. |
I love chickpeas, the only problem is the cooking time. It takes hours! |
Really sad. You can do all the right things and be the best person in the world, but one reckless idiot with lesser value to human life will hit you and make your dreams nothing. May God strengthen the familyb to bear this painful loss. |
Pimple:Something I tried and seemed to work for me without having to buy any cream: 1. Cut every form of refined sugar. I mean sugar cubes, sweet drinks, biscuits, cookies, chocolates, non-natural juices, energy drinks etc. You can go for fruits. 2. Stop using your towel to dry your face. Use a quality tissue paper. 3. Get your hands off your face. I know, it's hard, but mehn, just try. These worked for me and I wished I tried earlier. Now I have the scars to remember those times. |
repairpalng:Do you have the Redmi Note 8 back glass? White |
Oh wow, I saw the car yesterday night. I was wondering what happened to that sweet car when I saw it damaged like that. So na Burna Boy get am... |
seunny4lif:Spot on! What one sees is a picture, but not the real story. Cañada Real is in the outskirts and ghetto. It's a place for drugs and drug addicts. It's been a headache for the government of Madrid and the people living nearby. Most people living there are the gypsies. During a church outreach over there, a family member of mine met Nigerian couple there... I wish I could tell more... Nigeria is where it is, no reason to feel better knowing that other countries also experience hardship. Bad bellé will not improve the economy. |
ajericho:Please can you send me the link from jumia you used to get the RN8 battery cover? |
I'll forgive them... ... While I pour petrol on their heads and light them up... Their ashes don't need to be buried, just dumped in refuse dump sites. |
I somehow knew I wasn't the only one feeling like this. I get home quite early after work and I have a lot of time. I don't watch TV, play games or watch random YouTube videos. I tried reaching out to friends, some of which stay in the same compound with me, but they claimed to be busy..(even during their week-long breaks...) I guess people have different goals and lifestyles, so I realised I shouldn't impose myself to people who don't want to socialise. I started working out and I'm trying to get the body I always wanted, I learnt how to cook some foreign meals using local ingredients and I'll soon register to a foreign language school (Je veux parler française tres bien). To those saying you should take yourself out, how do you guys cope sitting by yourselves in eateries, cinemas, beaches and other places? |
I believe you meant overrated. |
I once saw one of my old-time schoolmates trending on twitter for one of those "what I ordered, what I got". People started insulting Nigerian tailors, not knowing she dey catch cruise on top their own intelligence. Doubt everything you see online. |
Not so Fun Fact: Almost every military dog is put down after service. |
Honesty111:Kanu Heart Foundation was big that year. Let's not forget Ahmed Musa, Ighalo's efforts and the many others the news won't carry. God bless them all |
Lol, it smells even through the phone. ![]() |
BRATISLAVA:Wooh, slow down, who hurt you? Just shared an article I read an hour before seeing this thread. Paid me for what? People pay people for this? I didn't get memo. Cool, you disagree, what else? |
I read this some hours ago, just for me to read this story... *SLAVERY OF MEN BY WOMEN* German writer Esther Villar In her book *"The Manipulated Man"* that caused outrage and hostile criticism from women explains how women since the earliest times have manipulated men and turned them into their slaves, they have pretended to be the oppressed sex while in the real sense they are the oppressors. She explains how a woman manipulates a man skillfully by steps like courtship and finally marriage, hence the saying *"a man chases a woman until SHE catches him".* In her book she explains how the man is tricked to care for the woman all his life and her offspring. He rolls the stone like Sisyphus and in turn gets rewarded by a few minutes of sexual pleasure. We can, by observing Esther Villars assertions that a man is a slave of his desires and the woman uses and has used it for thousands of years as a stick and carrot to keep the man chasing vanity and commit his life to serving her. She goes ahead to explain the rivalry of women, how each woman feels the powerful urge and need to own a male for herself. Like a slave owner she detests any move the man would make to offer his services to another woman. She uses all means to keep the man to herself and her offspring alone. Esther Villar's sentiments are captured by Nigerian Poet, critic and writer, Chinweizu Ibekwe in his book, *"The Anatomy of Female Power"*(AFP) and Will Farrel's, *"The Predatory Female*. They all push the theory that all societies are matriarchal and not patriarchal as we are pushed and forced to believe. Matriarchy has ruled not through brawn but wits and tricks; women feigning weakness to be protected etc. Thus the male becomes the most exploited sex in human history,(in wars the man is always ready to die for the woman; he has been trained to do that). Chinweizu calls the idea of dating and courtship, training, like that of a horse. It is during this time that a woman having kept the man on a leash by denying him sex and getting him addicted to her by false charms, trains and breaks him to whatever she wants him to become. The marriage celebration becomes a celebration for the woman and her friends, and they all congratulate her for having succeeded in getting herself a slave. A man on that wedding day waves goodbye to his independence and his coalition of males and commits himself to a Sisyphean life, rolling the stone, an act he cannot abandon having society and the government checking on him and always ready to jail, shame or exile him for absconding his duties. *Thus the government and society helps the woman in keeping her slave in check.* Chinweizu gives a narration of how women are trained by older matriarchs to tame men. He explains how a man is trained to rely on women by his own mother. A man is shamed for cooking for himself and other domestic chores by his own mother who is an agent of the global matriarchal rule. By getting the man to hate domestic works and having it enforced by culture which warns men against going into the kitchen, doing laundry etc., the mother trains his son for the woman who will captivate him and when the time comes she takes hold of the man's stomach and by getting the man addicted to her body she holds him by the two, in bed and in the kitchen. With those two weapons she manipulates the man and turns him into her plaything. In the *"Myth of the Male Power"*, Esther Villar's *" A Man's Right to the Other Woman"*; *"The Polygamous Sex"*, the authors of those books challenge the narrative that men oppress women, and by detailed research across African,Western and Eastern both in ancient and modern societies, the authors unravel the hidden power of the ruthless matriarchal power that rules the world. *Presidents, Emperors and Kings are all puppets of the matriarchy forces that rule the World by pulling the strings from behind the curtains.* Copied |
