Why dont they boo Walcott? IMHO I think there are times he has been poorer than the likes of Eboue and Denilson have been at any time.

Your school of thought that the booing works is so far fetched and is complete c.rap. Training and continious development is what made those players what they are today and not the booing. If anything booing kills the spirit.

The reason I take it the way I do is that I come to an Arsenal thread hoping to meet fans with likeminds and maybe the odd antagonist and do not expect to see my fellow fans rubbishing our own players in front of the many enemies lurking around. I remember on one of the Arsenal threads about 5 games ago an Arsenal fan was blaming Denilson when he wasnt even playing. It was just convinient for him to blame Denilson as he is one of the fall guys. It is attitude like that I dont like.

Have you ever been to the Emirates? Moving from a 38000 seater stadium to a 60000 seater means there is a new type of fan that is able to get tickets to see an Arsenal game. He is called the glory hunter. Real fans do not boo their own players, just watch an Arsenal away game and you'll understand what I mean. The fans who are able to get tickets to away games are the most hardcore fans and regardless of what the situation is on the pitch, they,ll never boo their own players.

LOL at A-40. I just hate fans critisizing their own players especially the much maligned ones e.g Cygan, Denilson, Silvestre. If you want curse players  from other clubs and their mothers, please be my guest

In other news, Arsenal have appealed Vermaelens red card. Quite risky but I think we can do without him for 2 games if the appeal fails and he gets and extra match ban. The man needs to rest anyways.

I do appreciate your work is hard enough as it is and I couldnt care less about all the other threads you lock but Aishas thread was of an important nature and I see no reason for her to try to tarnish an unknown mans reputation on Nairaland considering the kind of work she does. I just think people like her are few and far between and should be encouraged with their work. I can imagine all the obstacles she comes across in the course of carrying out her daily duties and if she thought Nairaland was a refuge where she could let some steam out why make things more difficult for her?

I understand you are the moderator but dont let the small authority you have go to your head. You cant lock threads just becuase you have the power to do so. I am refering to the thread by Aisha. You say you need evidence but how many threads do we see in the Nairaland politics section that are based on hearsay? probably half. Why are those threads not deleted or locked then?

If Arsenal appeal and win the ban will be rescinded but knowing the FA, you have a better chance of seeing Portsmouth win the league this season.

You can appeal at the risk of the FA deeming it frivolous and adding an extra match to the ban

Not bye bye but it becomes harder. Not that I am underating the other teams but with our past results against Manure and Jose (Inter), I will like us to avoid those 2 teams until the semis. If I had to chose one of the three teams I listed, I,lld pick Barcelona.

If Arsenal avoid Barcelona, Inter and Manure, we have a good chance of getting to the semi-finals.

Whats is your point? NECO only administers exams. If any heads should roll, it should be those of the Minister of education and others who are involved in the administration and delivery of senior secondary school education in the country. What would you have had NECO do in this case of mass failure? Reduce the pass mark from 50 to 20?
