Served in Lagos (Ipaja). I didnt stay in camp as it was crowded and anyone from Lagos was not allowed to stay in camp (2002). I did 4ck-all in camp. Resumed every morning, chated with my friends about EPL, drank beer, ate correct canteen grubs, took naps on random beds in the hostel, ate fish in the evening and went home at night. Not one march, drill or any other activity. I just jollofed all through. After that I worked for a bank in Ikeja and left after about 9 months through service for Obodo Oyinbo |
I left Nigeria because of three things; Security, security and security. Having being a victim of home invasion by men of the underworld three times in 6 months and seeing my dads head busted with the butt of a gun, Thank God for the mans life, he is blind in one eye becuase of that attack. I became very paranoid and couldnt sleep at night and was always scared. I was a lazy type when it came to education but I knew the only chance I had for settling legally for obodo oyinbo was by going as a student. Na so man apply for masters and left the damn country. I have been back thrice since I left and it was because I had no option but to go back on those occassions otherwise that country for no smell my butt. I dont miss the country one bit but I always check up on whats going on over there on forums like Niaraland since I still got family over there. |
If she was shagging the pastor before you sarted dating and it stopped once you started dating then it is no big deal. Although I can understand your pain but this can be easily forgotten over time. If however she was shagging the pastor while you were dating, then this is harder to forget but you can still move on depending on how much you love her. I think it would have been best for the woman to keep her secret. If she was going to bare all she should have done so before the marriage. Not trying to derail the thread but this should be an eye opener to all the tools that shout pastor this pastor that, dont talk about the man of God blah bah blah. Pastors are human and are no different from me and you. |
There is a difference between National and First language. I also havent come across many people that dont know Lastname = Surname but going by what the poster said about a long queue of people trying to change their names on thier ticket, there are a lot of people out there that dont know. |
In some countries, it is impossible to live without getting into debt. Mortgage, car loan e.t.c. Credit card and loan debts are a different matter though as many people take out loans and money off their credit cards for non essential purchases or services. If your debts are such that you can afford the monthly minimum payments and your left over income can sustain you, then continue making your minimum payments and as long as you dont take on any other uneccesary debt, you should be fine. i.e. as you progress through you career and earn more you can start to reduce your debts by making substantial payments from your increased income. If your debt is such that you can barely make the monthly payments or have no income at all. Then the best thing will be to consider one of the arrangements out there to help people write off their debts. You may be worrying about your credit rating and stuff but if you are in this situation, your credit rating is probably already as low as can be and no lender will advance you new credit. It is better to get your debts written off and start afresh. In the UK, you have the option of an Indivisual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) or staright up filing for Bankruptcy. An IVA is a Debt Forgiveness Scheme based on government legislation to help people who are struggling with their debts. You ad you creditors will agree for you to pay off a percentage of what you owe and the rest is written off. The IVA records stay on your credit file for 6 years after which you can start to apply for credit again. |
You guys have to remember that english isnt our first language. If it says write your name exacctly as it is on your passport, then your surname comes first abi ? Then using first and last name can be confusing. In a country like Nigeria where we speak british english shouldnt it read; given name and surname/ family name? if as the poster said there was a long queue of people paying £30 then many passenger are falling into the same trap. What has Virgin done to remedy the situation? I bet nothing. Why? Beacuse it a nice little earner for them. |
It is a scam. Niaja people too dey fear. I wont have paid 1 kobo. I wonder why people use the services of Easyjet and such. I used them once and was delayed because the lady at the check in had never seen a schengen visa before. You are better off paying an extra £20 and buying a ticket with the more established carriers. Not that they dont have their own faults but they wont treat you like an animal. |
Duduspace They are not real fans just glory hunters |
The real arsenal fans always keep the faith. Whose shot was rebounded for Bendtner? Denilson Wenger obviously knows more than you m0rons |
People that Know football will know that Denilson is not a creative player and he his there to break up the opponents play which he has done perfectly in my opinion. |
Thanks Snowdrops. some people dont understand football they just get on the backs of the usual fall guys |
and again |
No be the same Denilson just break up Hull play now? |
Fake Arsenal fans always jump on the bandwagon and start blaming individual players when things dont go their way. Last week it was bendtner, today it is Denilson. Just shut ur bleeping mouths and get behind the team |
This referee is really mad. That was a good tackle by Campbel |
Why did this bast@rd ref give Bendtner a card. That bl00dy Ghana man was trying to pluck out his eyes. Was he expected to just stand there and let Boateng have his way? That tackle on Sagna was a staright red. |
Mr BrownJay You get too much sense. I dated my girl for 9 years before we got married in 2006. If it was my own call we will still be unmarried now but would still be together cos I love her. But all the pressure from her family members was becoming too much so i jst agreed and let her know I wouldnt be spending more than was necessary. The marriage was just a big extravaganza to show off to people. Imagine her family spending nothing less than N4 million and I personally had to bring N1 million from my pocket but yet when we returned to our base, we had to take money off the credit card to fix a broken boiler. Just becuase you sign a piece a piece of paper dont mean shyte. We were already living together before we got married and going to Lagos to sign that piece of paper didnt change jack. We just wasted money that could have been better spent. For those little minded girls that think they will be secure if they have signed a piece of paper, please wake up. A man will leave your sorry a$$ if he needs to, marriage or no marriage! @ poster Check with your man if he is ready for kids. Tell him your body clock is ticking and that you,ll be happy to have kids without marriage. If he agrees to this the he means he wants to be with you he just isnt intrested in the marriage just like me. if you guys are ready for children then go ahead and have children and live together happily like you have always done. Dont mind all those people telling you to leave him. Half bread they say is better than none. |
@ poster Not trying to be rude or abusive but i can bet my house that both or at least one of your parents is an illiterate. If your parents were educated and werent so myopic I doubt they would object to your choice. I find it hard to believe that in 2010 parents still decide who their kids can marry. Telling your parents who you want to marry is cultural and serves as a mark of repect for them. The should have absolutely no say over who you marry. That decision is yours alone to make. |
Predictions Almunia will wear gloves The refree will wear black shorts Arsene will talk to the 4th official during the match |
Many Nigerian doctors will happily work for the amount these Egyptian doctors are getting i.e. about N500,000. They surely desereve such renumeration for the effort they put in obtaining their qualifications and more importantly, for the work they do. The best offer my in-law who is a doctor got when he was looking for work in Naija was N120,000/ month. The man decided to try his luck outside the shores of the country, He came to England, did his PLAB and he has just finished his first 6 week contract as a doctor. Guess how much the man cleared in those 6 weeks; £12,000 which is N3 million. It would take him at best 2 years to earn that much if he had stayed back in Naija. |
chelseabmw:Abi o. I remember going there for my first ever proper holiday in 1992. It is a shame. |
Absolute rubbish. I expect much more from this man giving the 'respect' he commands. When I watch his programmes on TV and it gets to the part where he says 'There is someone here today with a pain ain the right side of his head e.t.c.',,,,,,,. I am like Nigga pleaseeeeeee! What are the chances that there wouldnt be someone with a headache in such a large crowd and if there was no onewith any pain in the head we wouldnt even know. Those messages will be more credible if he could call out the names of the afflicted persons to come forward for deliverance. |
I have a friend who managed to write off a brand new Jetta after only 29 days of ownership in 2008. His insurance company paid him 75% of the purchase price. It took about 3 months for them to pay up. I cant remember any of our cars being repaired by an insurance company when I was younger. Even when my dad's 1 year old Pug 505 was stolen in '87, it was never replaced even though we always had insurance with NICON. I am not sure if the policies were comprehensive though, maybe just 3rd party. |
Thanks to the poster of the pictures for putting in the warning. I was able to skip past without looking at the pictures. Phock Nigeria, That country is a shytehole. RIP to those hapless people who had no choice but to remain in the shytehole. To all you supporters of one Naija, go tell it to the loved ones of these latest victims. The amount of lives that are lost on a daily basis in avoidable circumstances in that shytehole is bewildering. |
HNIC:lol, see u on Tuesday nite |
man of the match? |
Only Chris Eagles coulda done that! |
Even the Chinese commenatators where I am watching online are laughing. I couldnt help but laugh at the latest miss. It is a bad day at the office for him. He has scored harder goals. all the ones he should have scored today would have been tap ins. |

Perfect way to shut up all the naysayers Theo go on soun! |
