Nigerian journalists are clowns. They can make any situation funny. Read the bolded line below He was reportedly buying boiled groundnut from a hawker on the Nembe Street when his assailants opened fire on him. The groundnut was apparently his last meal because he allegedly threw some of the nuts in before the volleys of shot started coming. The first shot from the assailants according to the street sources hit one of the ground nut sellers who gave up the ghost immediately. Subsequent shots brought him down. One of the shots also hit the other girly assisting her sister to sell groundnut. And she was rushed to a trauma centre in the state capital.Of what use is that info to us? |

Jagged Egde feat. Kanye West - Lets get married (remix). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoWtujwshgQ I am already married though ![]() |
That ish happened in my hood. Thank God I jumped ship so many moons ago. I just feel for my family memebers trapped in that S.hithole called Nigeria. |
Thanks to God Thanks to my father Thanks to that fantastic lady from New Zealand for hiring me and then Thanks to Steve for sacking me from the dead end job and then giving me a good reference when I needed one. I had started to hate the job so much but didnt have the balls to resign. Thanks for pushing me cos u made my life better. If I win the lottery tomorrow Steve and the lady from New Zealand will be remebered. |
Justice! |
Thanks Denzel. Imagine some coconuts wey God just help say them get papers self dey talk about capping immigration, mumu people. |
Thanks Largeback, Money well spent. Millions of dollars that could have gone towards improving the lot of some Nigerias was donated to an expatriate on a 3 month holiday in Nigeria. I trust Amodu would have achieved whatever 'realistic' target was set for him by the NFF as he has always done in the past but black man inferiority complex don scatter our brain. |
So much for all you foooking supporters of Largerback, what a waste of money and time. Amodu go on soun, you have been vindicated, shame to bad people. Make sure you collect ur 300 mill from NFF complete. |
@ Jakumo Very true. Not sure bout ur pics though lol |
So Hitler loved Indians? |
No stories. I have a very close friend who thinks like this i.e The girl must get pregnant before I marry her. He met a babe, got her pregnant and they got married. The girl miscarried (fail 1). They tried again and gve birth to a girl and they seperated after only 1 year (fail 2). He hasnt seen his daughter for almost 3 years now. Getting a babe pregnant before marriage or trapping a man by getting pregnant guarantees nothing! |
Thanks dapsse for your very insightful post |
Muthafookers was riding on Vocals di@k! Thank God I read between the lines and didnt buy tickets. I knew Cokobar was just riding on Vocal's fame to sell out their tickets. Same ol fraudulent Nigerians! |
@bk/babe97 and Blacksta You guys are good and I enojoyed your description of court proceedings If we had a proper TV industry in nigeria there is absolutely no reason why bk/babe97 couldnt write a 3 part court drama for a TV station. Another wasted talent who is probably doing something he/she doesnt like while his/her real talents go to waste. |
Absolutely not worth dying for! You will have to be very silly to die for Nigeria. |
@ Tpia Are you implying that the outrageous amounts he gets is commensurate with his duties? |
To all the people saying the amounts are just allowances. In the UK an MP's salary is approximately £65,000 (N16 million)/ year. Last year an MP claimed on average, £145,000 (N35 million)in expenses and allowances. But in Nigeria a country that is not half as developed as the UK, 1 representative (MP) claims £2.3 million ( N560 million) in expenses and allowances for a year. Something is seriously wrong with that country. |
Best thread I have read on Nairaland in a very very long time. No yabis just straight to the point and well put arguments and counter arguments. Someone did try to derail the thread but was firmly put in her place. Nice one guys. I dey gbadun una arguments. |
I agree with Ajadudu. Is the man a very good panelbeater? Yes. Is a genius? No. I once saw a 4 door Beetle in Lagos many many years ago. Jelani Aliyu was not GM's chief designer, he was a senior creative program designer and had some major contribution to the development of the Chevy Volt. Is this a big accomplishment by Mr Aliyu? Yes but Nigerians like to overstate things and make greater than they are. It was once discussed on Nairaland, other Nigerian forums and even Nigerian national newspapers that a Nigerian had found the cure to cancer and his work was not being recognised becuse he is a Nigerian. What rubbish! Cancer kills millions of people every year in the world and the relevant authorities in the western world where cancer is a scourge wouldnt give a rats ass if a pig found the cure to cancer, they,ll embrace it instantly. |
Did any one else see David Cameron on his way to the see the Queen before becoming PM? On his way to the palace, it was a 2 car convoy and they had to wait patiently in London traffic, no sirens, no dangerous driving , no jumping red lights , no intimidating other road users. On his way back from the palace, he had 3 cars (+ MI6 Range Rover) in the convoy. Again no jumping red lights (they did jump one infront of the palace), no sirens, no dangerous driving, no intimidating other road users. This is is the convoy of one of the most powerful men in the world. One of the reasons I love the UK. The man will simply be addressed as Prime Minister David Cameron MP. Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown will simply be addresed as Gordon Brown MP from now and life goes back to the way it was before he became Prime Minister (He,ll get 2 policemen to protect him) |
Fool! Authorization for artisitic expression? ode! |
Na my area be this now! Right in front of 170 Heathway, Dagenham, Essex. Once I saw the guys getting off the bus I don know say na my endz. Naija boyz yab! |
Thats me just back from dropping my seed off in nursery, On my way back, sun's out so put my shades on, windows down, music up and had Da Grins verse on Owo ati swaggar on loop. Got home and got my breakfast, logged on to Nairaland and this ill news! Just lost my appetitie. Accidents do happen but this one ddint have to happen. Like I said in an earlier thread about Da Grin's accident, I have a sister who still bears the scars and a roommate who was killed in similar accidents. My roomate stood no chance. The 18 wheeler's truck head had ben taken away and the trailer was left there on the road bottoms up! my roomate stood no chance. I just hope he felt no pain. My sis had a bit of 'luck', her collision was with a molue. We only know about this becuase it has claimed the life of a promising talent. Nigeria is a failed state and someone else will probably get killed today by a truck left on one of our network of roads. Da Grin RIP. You were one of the very few (less than 5) artistes that I gave props to. |
Sagamite the boat is sinking! Jump! |
Kazakhstan: Borat is a Work of fiction Papau New Guinea: Just like Nigeria Middle East: Yet the same BBC and others show us oases in the desert like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain e.t.c Why does Nigeria's image depend on the BBC? Tell your NTA director general or whatever he is called to get his act together. The rubbish channel they had on sky was so below standard and it eventually went off air after the top dogs over at NTA chopped the sky subscription money |
@ ujuojan Do you know what happened when the BBC called the US, United States of Murder? Nada, nothing! |
@ kobojunkie I saw one about Canada just before the winter Olympics that refered to Calgary as the homless capital of the world. I cant remeber which channel it was but if definitely wasnt NTA! |
