Once Oando closes below N5.00, na N3.00 go catch am.

Until Zenith and GTB joins, that's when the reggae starts.
As much as I dont like checking my stockbroking account regularly, when I remember Oando has splitted shares 3 times in 8 years and traded at N30 less than 5 years ago. I know 'buy and forget' is not for us in this Country.

This country is the hub of badly run businesses. With all the political clout covering them, Oando can't still do well. Seplat has left them behind.

@MonkeyHunter, you dont have to disturb yourself much about that woman's ranting. You should know 'her' better than that by now.
Your posts were not directed at them neither did you say that anyone should buy the stock. You did not mention Skye at all either.
Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned it here in the first place self. undecided
Please, you did what was right as far as I'm concerned.
I love the fact that the Pros and Cons (as rightly put by onegentleguy) of the Company's current financial status were discussed by both you and Sir Wanaj0 and, it was really an eye opener that could be related to other stock in that category as well.
Thanks for taking time out to carry out more research into the company and more importantly, shared with some of us here. Nagode. grin
I'm surprised you don't know who this MAN is. Maybe I read this thread too much cus I actually think it's glaring.

Please let's be civil, like seriously this thread is for all our benefit. Let's encourage discussions, pros and cons. I "liked" all the comment regarding First Aluminum because they are good. This is what we came here for.

MonkeyHunter keep being the optimist, Wanaj0 thank you for putting fear of God in our body, Mcy56 thank you for always bringing up kobostock discussions. Without you, I won't even remember that NSE has stocks below N1.

TGIF baby...

MTN GOING SOUTHWARD
NIG CB SENT MTN SOUTHWARD
MTN LOST 19% ON JSE
South Africans are just insulting us anyhow over this fine tongue tongue

I think this whole mess is a case of bribing certain people to allow you do things without getting approval.

Nigeria is a funny place when it comes to corruption, cus the officials are never in agreement so once your friend in government goes, the new set will start ringing your bell.

I don't see MTN paying the money back but the banks have a lot of proving to do to get away from those fines.

By technical definition, market officially entered bear zone today from a top of 45ish (now 22% down)
Someone once said NSE was being manipulated and that the closing prices did not reflect the movement during the day. I tried reaching her to explain but didnt get through to her.

Can you explain this possible manipulation and how it affects us?

The guy na special type of trouble maker.

Cadillac I think it is wrong to pass the blame of your actions to others. Nobody forces anybody to buy anything and I don't think it is fair to discourage people from giving recommendations. To be fair on them, they have never recommended a loss making company and they warn against Companies with historically bad results. Even I myself have been reading FS of companies trading below 50k, the only thing stopping me is what Wanjo always say, "How easy is it sell".

Let's all try to live and let live.

Your thoughts on the implication of this re-capitalization mandate on Insurance Coy and their share prices
One major implication will be Mergers among the average firms with good management.

The ones on NSE might also want to raise capital.

I see a lot of smaller insurers locking shop though, just like when capitalisation was raised a few years ago.

@mendes911, I tell you in the morning say this trouble you dey find ehhn..... smiley

Please sir and ma, lets not drag this issue more than necessary because Pa Emma himself is more than capable to handle anything that comes, he's been in the market for longer period and I believed he sure knows his way around any stock eventuality.
Besides, I think Mende's post was not aim at making jest of anyone or him in particular, going by what I wrote down in class today but the market situation is just not making people smiling.
As per 'people that are clapping' ......hhmmm, I think we do have different personalities online and all of us would certainly not see same thing same way.
I no fit talk too much abeg cos I no too understand English, na night school I go. cheesy
OK ma. I have heard.

But please try and think of the last time your guy posted something that someone appreciated him for it and said "thank you".

I only quoted what Emma wrote as at when Wapco rights was going on? Do you think I made that up? He came here to inform the house that him and his wife were taking up all their rights and how they were going about it. You can refer to his post. And he has consistently maintained that he holds his shares for as long as ever. You must have read my post the other way round. I was only pointing all these out to Oracle that suggested Emma should have sold all.

I just felt like clarifying my post.

Also note that am not bothered about what anybody says about me, insult or no insult makes no difference to me. Do not think someone calling me all sort of names adds or removes anything to/from my life. You only allow such get to you when you lack understanding. Get that!

Truth hurts they say. You only see people wailing and screaming when they are told the bitter truth.

And if you believe that Prophet Utuocha is a military man, then come to Bakassi, I have a bridge to sell to you.
Lol... honestly it's the people that are clapping for you I blame. I actually have no business with you and that was why I did not quote you.

Oracle said he should have sold because of xyz reasons, are you Emma that you had to respond to it? And not just respond but make a fool of the man by your response.

Its all these "make i no talk, as e no concern me" that made this country bad like this.

Words from the mouth of the wise are gracious, but fools are consumed by their own lips.

You people should continue encouraging trouble makers. When Oga Army attacks Mendes all us will be like "the guy too dey vex", yet nobody wants to call out Mendes for his oversabi.

Look at his post on Emma. If they face him now, he will start crying that he didn't cause the bear yet he can't respect his age.

Oga Agba, this is not my issue though. Everybody will eat from this bull.

I just came online and was reading all the celebratory posts. I had to go back and confirm that the index actually moved 2% not 10. The level of joy on the thread today took me by surprise.

You can also check for 1985 to 2010. There is an excel sheet on CBN site the will show you the whole thing. You will just have to calculate the percentage differences by yourself.

U cannot compare the Nigerian taxes with that of the USA, we pay way too much taxes in 9ja and little or nothing to show for it,9ja is the HQ of multiple taxation.
Bros, you can do business in Nigeria and actually pay very little if you do the right thing.
Yes our own tax rate is high at 30%, but I'm sure you've heard of tax planning before.

If it's so bad, how come people are actually getting richer while doing business in Nigeria. Do you know you can actually settle most issues with just a letter?

Loco, you would have follow sell in May philosophy. We just enter June and you buy back in June. What if you see Zenith bank price at #23 soon and #18 later? Maybe you will average down, all join.
Some friends reported how fight broke out among GTB bank directors and CEO, if GTB price goes down to #28, it will affect Zenith bank.
grin grin grin grin grin grin
Why are you so confident giving incorrect data out? How many Months of May in the last 20 yrs actually ended negative? Oga the data is free and it's online. You don't even have to go to NSE office to confirm stuff like this.

This whole "I'm prophetic" stuff is getting ludicrous. Go and look at how other Frontier markets charts are doing and see how not so special we actually are.

Full disclosure: I didn't buy anything in May.
