I think that The Nigerian Police and Nigerian army are becoming increasingly useless.
I was on my way to Enugu and on getting to Awka, I saw a soldier on uniform sleeping, just after Aroma junction. Though, there was a sign of military check point there but they were somewhere sleeping.
On getting to Enugu, just in front of Holy Ghost Catheral, I saw a team of soldiers and police arresting okada riders indiscriminately.
And so I started to wonder, what are these people really paid for? To sleep on duty? To arrest okada men, who are legitimately looking for their daily bread?
Again, in the north, where they are needed, they have failed woefully. They are attacked and killed, even in their stations.
Do these people still worth their pay with taxpayers' money including mine?
What are they doing in the south and what have they achieved in the north?

Security operatives at a checkpoint in Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State have intercepted a car loaded with explosives along the Gombe-Bauchi Road.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Hassan Mohammed, said, “we received the information but we don’t have details. We are waiting for information from the Alkaleri Divisional Police Officer.”

But the Information Officer of Alkaleri Local Government Council, Malam Mu’azu Juji, said in a telephone interview that, “security men were on operation stop and search along the Gombe-Bauchi Road in Alkaleri town when a Volkswagen car approached the post.

“A soldier was about checking the vehicle, a Golf car, with registration number AA 158 GMB from Adamawa but to his surprise, saw the booth of the car opened.

“He accosted the owners on why the booth was open but before the soldier and his colleagues could realise it, the occupants of the vehicle had opened the door of the car and run into a nearby bush.

“But due to the large number of civilians within the scene of the incident, the security men could not open fire but pursued the hoodlums and fired shots into the air and later returned to the vehicle.’’

There was panic in the area as motorists scampered for safety. A top security source in Bauchi told Daily Trust that “we have prevented them (the suspects) from going to where they intended to go.”

In December 2007, I couldn’t use the leg to
walk or limp again. It was so painful and
would not let me bend at the knee
The vein at the back of the knee felt like it
was always going to pop out. My leg felt
heavy, stiff and when I try to bend my
knee,
I feel a very sharp pain, the leg straightens
out by itself always and my hip felt
strained. I was carried around by arms/
hands or wheelchair (I couldn’t even
use 2 crutches to walk or support myself). i
could not sleep, i was losing weight fast
More x-rays were done of the spinal cord, I
went for physiotherapy both traditional
(HELL) and clinics since February 08 and did
MRI scan of the pelvis but they still showed
nothing wrong or much improvement. MRI
is so expensive in LUTH
