Politics / Re: INEC To Tribunal: Obi's Petition Is Abusive, Incompetent And Should Be Dismissed by pashiano: 8:41pm On Apr 11, 2023
from what I understood from the writeup, Inec is saying the petition lack specifics in it's accusations. So Inec is being alleged of conniving with the ruling party to rig election and the same Inec is expecting the cheated to come out and reveal exactly in details how the rigging was done. even a daft person won't do that. rigging is rigging, come to court and it will be proved, nobody will say election is rigged and then sit down, it will be proved. so come to court

I have never made a comment on this platform base on ethnicity but I will today on the basis of what Deji said. if Alaba international market, computer village, Ladipo are now termed or believed to be occupied predominantly by Igbos, then I will be bold to say that Igbos own Lagos. Not forgetting the comment made by NIMASA boss that 80% of container leaving Apapa Tin can wharf are going to Onitsha. So , it is the people of south east that is generating money for Lagos.

A childhood friend of mine came back from school to attend a relative funeral, long story short, he drowned in the River Niger while they went to carry some logistics for the burial, it was a Tuesday, but the body was seen on Saturday and recovered. well the issue now is that the coursemates said that he has been attending class since Wednesday that week. So this shits are real.

Politics / Re: Anambra Imposes ₦100,000 On Burial Banners by pashiano: 3:17am On Oct 13, 2022
some of the folks here are failing to understand the motive behind the policy, the plan is not just to make money off those burial posters but to dissuade unnecessary and reckless display of posters at every nook and cranny of a town, even on public structures. if an advertiser calculate how much he will be taxed for multiple posters, he may decide to do a single poster that is bigger, and not just that, if the duration of his advert expires he will take it off to avoid penalty. this in return leave spaces and public structures beautiful as intended.

I have always used Okpei for Nsala instead of Ogiri Igbo.

We usually use Ogiri Igbo for Ofe Ora and Ofe Onugbu.

But I will explore Ogiri Igbo in Nsala to know the difference for myself.
please don't forget to give us the testimony grin

Ogiri igbo in nsala ? No no
Okpei is even better , if at all u need use ogiri , normally u don't use ogiri in nsala
the truth is that you seem to have only known about using okpei in Nsala so you may not understand, even caterers use Ogiri Igbo in public foods, the taste supersedes that of Ogiri okpei

The face of the soup is nice and appealing, good job overall. but the main seasoning in Ofe nsala, (the Anambra way) would have be an Ogiri Igbo(the one wrapped in papers) not Ogiri okpei.

After reading the first ten comment, I came to the conclusion that comprehension is not really easy, PDP be making a very serious and valid claim. in summary PDP is saying that a party can not function without elected executive, so therefore, since APC dissolved it's executive and put up am emergency committee to run it's convention, the committee's action in organizing conventions and primaries are null and void as they are not elected officials and are not backed by law to carry out the function they are doing now. Thanks

Romance / Re: Why Do People Get Married With Someone They Saw "Red Flags" by pashiano: 1:51pm On Mar 12, 2022
Francisanointed:
Pardon my grammatical errors
A lot of people who regretted getting married to their spouse can attest to the fact that they saw the "red flags" but they insist on continuing the relationship and getting married.
Why do people do this ? Married men/women, single ladies/guys,what make/made you to think of marriage even after the red flags
A girl continues a relationship or marry a guy that beats her often, cheats on her unrepentantly, abuse her and disrespects her.
A guy continues a relationship where he sees the girl cheats, lies and disrespect him. Sometimes you know there are things you can't naturally tolerate but you tolerate them in relationship and eventually when you get married, you want those things you tolerated in your marriage to stop. That is impossible!
I know you can't marry someone that is 80 percent a version of you. But you must know what you can cope with

Why do people get married with someone they saw "red flags" ?

It's simple, everybody has a red flag....are you gonna be rejecting everybody on the account of redflag
Family / Re: My Wife Is Surprising Me; She Is Now A Direct Opposite Of Whom I Thought She Was by pashiano: 1:49pm On Mar 12, 2022

GoodMorning all ,

I will make this as short as possible.
Before marrying my wife she seems to be this very generous and accommodating fellow . I felt fall in Love with her because this is just the kind of partner I want,

I have not really stand very well financially, though comfortable and contented, but I have this great dream of, because of what I pass through to help as much people as I can.
While dating her, she told me all kinds of stories of her philanthropic and generous gestures to people.

But moving forward to today, she seems to be direct opposite of everything.
She detests people coming close or we offering any kind of help or assistance to family both hers and mine not to talk of friends.

What about suggesting to assist a relative that can't afford, with their child education na war
We have not born but I have more than enough space to bring one or two children to see them through school but my wife is not buying is at all at all.

I know who I am before I marry, this is the only thing that gives me joy, and my only reason for asking God everyday to bless me so that I can bless people.

But right now am seriously confused
it hurts me alot but I don't wanna force anything against her will.

I have tried discussing it over and over with her but she is still not buying it, with the excuse of that we have not stand enough to carry anybody .

What could be her reasons and
What should I do?

I think she perceives you as someone who overgives

Drsnives:
Good morning nairaladers, pls pardon my errors.

I met this girl late last year, she's nice, godly and has most of the qualities i want in a wife. i love her, though her dad is late and her mum should be in her late thirties.

Yesterday we were chatting and she was like her dad didn't do the necessary rites on her mum and hence according to tradition i will have to pay her mum's bride price to her family before i will be allowed to start her own (my babe) marriage rites. I just weak cos have never heard of such. Where i won see the money for double bride price?

Pls nairaladers, have any of you come across such ridiculous tradition or she's making it up herself cos i feel like quiting the whole thing.
I just tire. Your opinions are welcomed

Modified: she's from obiaruku in ukuwani local government area of Delta State.

I don't think she is talking about bride price In particular cos it's not costly, some people take as low as 1500 naira. I think the one she is talking about is (Igbu Ewu ogodo). it is done for the kinsmen and born daughters of the community. it involves the goat ,drinks and small requirements that re due to the kinsmen. if a woman did not do the ceremony before her son or daughters marriage, she is expected to do it before the son's or daughters marriage can go ahead. it is not ur responsibility but you can help, just to expedite the whole process since the dad is late. this is how it is fine in Igbo land, don't know where your wife hails from.

Religion / Re: Are There Any Dance Steps From Hell? by pashiano: 12:10pm On Sep 26, 2021
Dance Is simply an Expression or creativity from within, it can be inspired by some many factors depending on your aim for the act. e g entertain, seduce, mimick e t c.

when they say a dance is from hell, in my own suggestion, it is simply a statement not necessarily that the dance is formed in hell, people say that to categorize a dance that doesn't glorify God or passes an obscene message. not ruling out some possessed demons who will encourage influencial and famous people to dance and promote some obscene dance steps, my thoughts though
