@ Becomrrich

I think you are not only being stupid, but acting as a coward. Why must someone meet you in the police station? Is everyone a criminal that the only place to meet you is in a police station? Are you under police watch and detention in Canada? Which police station can you be met?

So do you think we should start discussing yoruba-benin republic in a Toronto police station? Are you scared of paying even for his drink in a restaurant? And you are now trying to arrange for a meeting in police station. Your yoruba bold face is nonsense my friend. grin

BTW, my referring to you as a coward was in respect to you not being able to post your satellite image here.

Or you think it is everyone who lives in Nigeria that does not have other citizenship with other countries. . . . . . even if it is from yoruba-Republic of Benin?

@ Jakumo,
It is apparent that the satellite map oracle is now a coward. Time to make yanga on his head well. Thanks to the administrator of this site. grin

no, i am honest, this people are pretending that they are omo ale. look one of them , a woman wrote me, that the yorubas should not join benin republic ,because one hausa man in the north is playing with her genital.  So because hausa man or kanuri or igboman is playing with your genital so gbo gbo omo oduduwa gbodo di eru fun hausa.

Just because of one useless genital . we should not join republic of benin, and let war happen and millions killed.

RomanceRe: Moderator Feedback: Talk To Debosky by Pataki: 10:04am On Apr 13, 2009
I want to assume the moderator has not been on this thread in the last couple of hours to clearly see that this thread has been derailed in itself.

In my view, the Dating and Meet Up is the latest version of Nairaland Offtopic. Most threads there serve no purpose to the forum and it is an avenue for chit-chat for some ''nairaland untouchables''. undecided If the complaint stated by Gab in that thread as given by the link from dayokanu (alongside his complaints), cannot be taken up and looked into, then, this section smacks of a cabal of posters who use the privilege of being moderators for their own selfish inclinations. Why must a moderator make this rather surreptitious condescending statement:
Exactly, small village and everybody must not insert themselves in every nook and cranny.
on that same thread? Does this mean some thread are meant for the exclusive preserve of some posters and if you are not in their league, you should and would be ignored? What then is the point to the thread?

If threads have been locked in times past, and posters banned for derailing threads, then, I believe the same justice should be measured to whichever thread and section and posters even if they are moderators on this forum.

My submission.

PoliticsRe: Nuhu Ribadu Speaks From Abroad: ‘corruption Kicked Me Out Of Nigeria’ by Pataki: 5:57pm On Apr 12, 2009
@ Ribadu,

My belief is that if you join the police force you will soon be ridiculed, especially if you intend to do it properly and correctly and you are honest about it.
So you knew the above, why did you not do the right thing? Why become a chess pawn in the hands of Obasanjo? You are as corrupt as your father Obasanjo. You knew how to ridicule the political enemies of Obasanjo who were corrupt, yet Obasanjo was not worthy enough to be investigated and arrested by the EFCC? And the most annoying thing for me is that you are rather playing ignorance with it at the moment and shouting corruption kicked you out. What nonsense.

Please do not show yourself in countries where there are high development and freedom of expression, lest you are likewise subjected to the disgrace handed to Obasanjo. I wish you can be pelted with eggs wherever you are for your aid in corruption during Obasanjo's administration.

Art, Graphics & VideoRe: Insurance For Video Camera by Pataki: 1:42pm On Apr 11, 2009
@ Poster,

Please feel free to invest in the Video Camera. After all, there are people spending one million naira on useless thing, I wonder where are these money salvation preachers to preach to them.

Ensure it has a warranty though. I remember I bought a video camera for a ridiculous amount once. One day while I was pressed and using the toilet, the camera slipped from my jacket and fell into the toilet bowl. I closed my eyes and removed the camera from the toilet bowl, tried putting it on, and alas my camera went blank! Even with my warranty, I knew they would not replace it, as it was my fault and mistake. cry I then told the lady that I was beaten in the rain, and the camera was not water-proof, so I demanded for a replacement. After back and forth deliberations she took the damaged video camera and said she will talk to the management about it and see how it goes.

Lo and behold two months later, I got a package in the post, with the latest and more sophisticated design that brand had just made, which was posted to me, it was water proof and had a fresh one year warranty on it all FOC. cheesy

So do not let anything whatsoever deter you from expanding your business. Invest now, but do it wisely. As for insurance coy, I have no knowledge of any. embarassed

You must have been reading your Wednesday Guardian newspaper upside down. I suggest you go and update your glasses. grin

We are trying to do a cost analysis for the poster here. He likes pepper soup and obviously likes women as well. So he needs all the advice/suggestions he can get here. tongue Or you want to market your Festac prosties for us here? I heard there are quite a number these days on D-close. grin

@ Poster,
Which area of Ibadan do you intend living in? If you are into pepper soup, I can name some areas for you. It basically depends on your taste and preference though. But a plate of pepper soup with correct fresh fish is within the range of 1,000 - 1,500 Naira. And remember you would need a woman by your side to step down the pepper soup oh. Or you want to be drinking pepper soup all by yourself? cheesy

@ Pataki,
hmmmmmmmmmmm see the way you just analysed that ashawo stuff above like somone who has so many years of experience in patronising   them. Any way RichBlack have taking note of your point and will do the proper calculations.
Years of experience? Lets just say, I am conversant with my environment. grin grin But seriously are ashawo in Naija now collecting 6,500 Naira? As at the last time I heard, it was 1,500 - 2,500 Naira. Abuja Zone2 Garki esp. Lagos Street are the most expensive according to what I heard though (5K for a come and do and 10K for overnight) Na wa o! But if he intends staying in Ibadan, then those ones are very cheap. 500 - 1,000 Naira is more than enough to satisfy those ashawo there in Challenge axis. grin

platinumnk:
You dont love your wife at all do you, you want to leave her there and let her raise the kids alonehuh  Much less talk about a 2nd Wife!! Shame on you and we have the nerve to speak about AA ppl and how they abandon their families.  My uncle split with his wife and got a second one in 9ja, form what the kids were before and what they are now, I dont think  they have ever fully recovered. Think about what you doing, stop being selfish, I'm so surprised that ppl are helping u rather than chastising u for wanting to leave your home, then on top of that get a 2nd wife, so what do you think that Women are all disposable nowhuh SMH~
Oh the dude is even married with kids? Absolute rubbish. What nonsense. Why is the wife allowing him to go like that? I suspect the poster must be lying about something somewhere. undecided

My sister, there are still good men - good husband materials out there. Never have the notion that all are useless.

@ banom,
250 Naira for condom packet? shocked shocked Ashawo girls usually have condoms on them. So if he is going for ashawo babes, and he pays them 6,500 Naira, why does he need condoms again, it should come with the package of an ashawo? grin

@ Poster,

Have you thought of mosquitoes as well? I have a friend who just went back to Naija recently, everytime she is complaining of mosquitoes on her facebook profile.

RichyBlack, your costings are too simple. Have you incorporated the cost of buying table water, generating your own water supply? Cost of maiguard, etc?

Naija is a good place to live in no doubt. Just that the thought of no electricity is a living horror to most peoples mind including mine as well.
PoliticsRe: Akala, Fashola On War Path Over Dumping Of Destitutes by Pataki: 4:51pm On Apr 10, 2009
Moves:
And in which of those countries have their indigenes been forcefully relocated or deported, NONE
Am a lagosian by descent but this is wrong; there is nothing like citizen of lagos but nigerian citizen, so my grudge is the fact that they are Nigerians first, and derserve the right that every other nigerian have in lagos state, if other destitudes are being catered for; the should enjoy same, It is about time we do away with this state of Origin madness, Aside so it is alright to collect taxes from indigenes of other states but when they are destitudes you deport them, That is Inhuman.
Collecting taxes from indigenes of other states is a total different topic. Please you could start another thread for that, and I will gladly air my opinion on that.

The discussion here is about destitutes living on the financial strength of another state which is not their state. Should it be encouraged or disallowed? Fashola has disallowed it and it very good in my opinion! So far so good, no one has tendered any argument to make see that it is highly unreasonable of Lagos State to do so.
PoliticsRe: Akala, Fashola On War Path Over Dumping Of Destitutes by Pataki: 4:45pm On Apr 10, 2009
I am out of here. Today is Good Friday.

Let me go celebrate!

Fashola, please continue to chase out those destitutes back to their state of origin. Anyone without any form of economic input or development to Lagos should not be encouraged to stay in there. This is a wake-up call to other states to do what must be done in their respective state!
PoliticsRe: Akala, Fashola On War Path Over Dumping Of Destitutes by Pataki: 4:42pm On Apr 10, 2009
There are destitutes from Niger, from Chad, from Benin Republic all in Lagos. Yet to some people here, it is illegal to deport them back to their states, since we are all in the same country, same continent and probably they are even claiming Lagos or even another state in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Akala, Fashola On War Path Over Dumping Of Destitutes by Pataki: 4:37pm On Apr 10, 2009
Moves:
If the ruling Elite have not siphoned the colmmonwealth of this destitudes,  they wont be destitude if the first place, Fashola has no right to forcefully relocate anybody from lagos state, as theyare Nigerians, You dont treat illegality with Illegality fashola being as SAN should know that? Whatever Benefit they are  allocated in Lagos state they get it as nigerians, Well he might as well go the whole hog by deporting all the hausa beggars back to the north as see what we follow, I have an inkling that its Tinubu calling such shots to embarrass the PDP govt in Oyo, It is Unfair to use the less priviledge as pawns
So you think it is only Oyo state that got the deportation package? Na wa o!

I have seen destitutes here in the UK, I have destitutes in Europe at large. No country is devoid of destitutes. Even Jesus affirmed to that fact. But the sole question is that: who takes care of these destitutes? Why must Lagos be responsible for destitutes from Zamfara? Why why whyhuh

So because Lagos is on a re-development program, citizens of other states must now flock there and expect to live on the financial resources of that state when their own respective states should take a leaf and do what is expected of them as a state. Please nothing Fashola has done is illegal. This is a simple matter.
