SupremeCourt: Nairaland did not give anybody power to choose my words for me, no rule says I cannot criticise Mokopa same way your RSA group criticizes ARA MRAP.
Stop telling lies, I NEVER started Tucano APKWS classified tech argument, @Saengine and somebody began the argument, later I joined. Your own arguments are not arguments, but my own comment is the only argument?
Keep deceiving yourself as if you dont know Patches is the number one derailer on this thread and never wants to agree when clearly proved wrong, he turns it to endless argument till thread catches fire, he then calls the moderators and tell lies to shift blame on someone else.
jln115: Bought mine from steam....For the newest Supreme Ruler Ultimate it's like R87(BARGAIN!!) on steam now.....plus R110 if you want to buy the Great War DLC which literally means you can play from 1914 to 2070.
It is quite complex to learn since you have to manage your economy(Inflation,GDP,Tax,Social Spending, Trade and diplomacy ect ect) and the Military is even more complex(If done properly) since you have to group units in to effective battlegroups(Brigade size) and terrain and especially supply play a major role.
The detail in the game is incredible though, for example when starting as South Africa in the 2017 or 2020 sandbox mode, SA already has Olifant MK1b and 2, Ratel, Rooikat, Gripen, Valour class frigates, Type 209 Subs, Rooivalk ect ect I think Nigeria also starts with a squadron of JF17s...even the presidents of each country is up to date.
This a rather complicated Grand Strategy game so i would say you need at least 20 hours of playing time to understand just the basics......overall i have around 150 hours on SR ultimate and around another 150 hours on the previous SR games, AND im literally still learning, especially with regards to military since it is much more in depth than it looks and than i originally thought!
This nairaland user regularly uses two different nairaland accounts to escape bans, to up vote and like his own comments, and posts several offensive censored words by misspelling them, like using 1 instead of i or usinf v instead of u, to trick nairaland system and avoid ban when using offensive words censored on nairaland, against other forum users.
He has two separate accounts with two similar user names
Quote: Dude. Stop this sh1t. Writing letters to people who will never read them, and who give literally zero fvcks about your opinion is beyond de-railing. THIS ISNT YOUR FVCKING BLOG
If nairaland bans him for breaking rules, he always logs in with his second account and continues posting immediately.
Sir/Ma, this use of offensive immoral censored words by misspelling them is a clear violation of the official rules of nairaland, please help to stop this deliberate rule breaking.
Thank you.
Dear santodomingosan a.k.a Augustine a.k.a SupremeCourt a.k.a Covert1. Stop this childish retaliation. I cant help but notice you created this account mere hours after your other two accounts were banned.
To the moderator concerned,
Yes I have two accounts - one is tied to my PC, my other to my mobile. The reason that I have a second account is because I have lost access to the e-mail account that I created my original moniker with. Hence the second one.
Both accounts clearly identify my person ie: "Patches" I have no intention to deceive anyone. Furthermore, upon review of my ban history - you will see that I have almost never been banned for rule breaking, only the occasional SpamBot ban.
If you wish to permanently ban Patches689 (the one tied to the e-mail I can no longer access) that would be fine.
I am very sorry that this Augustine/SupremeCourt/Covert1/santodomingosan fellow has troubled you with his antics.
SupremeCourt: [s] It pains you to bone marrow, I told you what you need to remember, you have no job, no career, no achievement, and Nairaland is your daily cocaine sniff for happiness. You asked me to keep quiet for your friends to ride me like donkey on the photo thread, I shoved that back into your face and you saw you acted senseless.
You want me to sacrifice my own human rights of freedom of speech to maintain the ever elusive peace on Nairaland military threads because you are not smart enough to know that 20 men in one room have 20 different characters and will always fight in that room, but you want to force me to mellow down for other to trample on so you can enjoy a quiet Nairaland since your daily mood swings like pendulum with the mood on internet, your happiness goes on and off like NEPA-PHCN depending on how Nairaland arguments sway sweet or bitter.
I have put you where you belong, and I crushed the skull of your self-imposed mafia rulers who want to control other people's freedom on the web. Patriotism is missing with many Nigerians like Dasuki, Badeh, Amosu and most of you here on Nairaland military forums, born into this unlucky country. You will gladly sacrifice Nigeria for personal gain of ego or cash. I know a patriot when I see one. You are not that kind of breed, thinking you are does not make you one.
Yes I posted many falling to pieces photos of Nigerian T-72 tanks with many dozens of broken and lost ERA armour many times here, the army 'captain inside T-72' who first asked for my evidence has melted away when he saw these photos, only ego will not let him admit I proved him wrong, but human conscience told him I am too right to be wrong and he stopped challenging my T-72 claims.
99% of you here on Nairaland have an epidemic disease of dishonesty and insincerity, you never admit you are proved wrong in the face of facts and clear evidence, you still keep denying truths till the person telling the truth calls you the name you deserve to be called.
Any Nigerian seeing these photos and still denying Nigerian T-72 tanks are falling to pieces is a traitor not a patriot. I posted the ERA pics when we purchased and the ERA now gone leaving large visible empty spaces that Boko Haram RPG will enter and cook up T-72 ammunition storage to roast innocent soldiers to ashes, and for this you all lie to yourselves that I have destroyed this thread. Only God knows how many millions of demonic people we have among 180 million Nigerians.
Please go find a full time job with good monthly salary and stop wasting your productive youthful years on internet, Nairaland wont pay you any salary, and your mood will never be stable as you seek happiness among all kinds of men who prowl here with cult demons controlling them. Truth is bitter, go find a career job sir.[/s]
Ignoring the words and responding to the pictures.
Before I start the term "T-72" means nothing - there are 3 types of T-72 (technically 5 with foreign versions). The original is the T-72M or T-72 Ural. The Ural was followed by the T-72A and then the T-72B - the T-72B evolved into the T-90.
Nigeria received: ~20 T-72M's, which are export versions of the T-72A. These would go to places like Poland, Romania, Hungary and other Russian allys. ~20 T-72B's, which are the originals built in Russia for Russia.
The issue with the side-skirts on the T-72M is because it uses rubber to attach the skirts to the main-hull of the vehicle. This is a cost saving exercise that has little effect on protection. The purpose of the side-skirt is to stop the vehicle kicking up too-much dust/mud while on the move.
The ERA bricks are really heavy, and if you crash into anything, or smash through anything, they have a habit of taring off.
This problem was remedied with the T-72B production run which replaced the rubber with (non-ballistic) composites as the side skirts on the T-72B are specifically designed to carry ERA, while the side-skirts on the T72-A are not (ERA was an "after-market" addition to the 72A)
Please could a moderator come in and clean up our thread - it has survived over 1500 pages and is about to be destroyed by a certain poster. This will be the second time he has utterly destroyed a thread topic we have been enjoying.
He/she has:
1. Completely disregarded the thread title, one which limits the thread to pictures and video only. No/limited discussion. He does this by: - Making massive posts (thousands of words) - in a picture/video thread - Incessantly starting arguments with all thread members. - Using extremely provocative language - ultra-nationalist, tribalist, racist etc etc - Using graphic and unpleasant language, to quote: "so keep whining pinning like a rat caught in a mouse trap slowly bleeding to death"
Note: while discussion in the thread is discouraged, it does happen from time to time, but has been kept short and to the point. Normally question and answer type discussion ie: "What is that?" "It is X", "Is that any good" "According to X,Y,Z no".
2. Violated rules by creating two separate accounts, which he uses to reply to himself (yes, you read that correctly) and to circumvent bans.
He goes by the monikers SupremeCourt and Covert1
If a moderator could swing by to restore sanity, that would be much appreciated.
SupremeCourt: [s]How did I destroy any thread? When other people post beauty queen photos, snow fall on their streets, Hollywood movies, deliberate off topic comments, European American army videos, football news, and all kinds of garbage, you mafia of hypocrites keep quite and never complain.
I posted T-90 tank must replace broken rusted T-72 for Nigeria on the other discussion thread for myself, not inviting anybody, then a dozen people swarm attacked me demanding I post photo evidence. I posted photo evidence but shame and envy moved them to change story to ; " You SupremeCourt has no right to condemn damaged T-72, and no right to demand T-90, no right to discuss on a discussion thread".
You kept quiet, because you are a mad man like them who believes any comment they dont like in destroying their thread that is owned by their family, and Nairaland is their personal property.
Shameless cult people like you who will deny a heavily damaged T-72 that will one day be death trap of your own countrymen, T-90 must be condemned because you hate who said it, but T-90 will be supported if your foolish mafia low intellect self deceivers say up T-90.
Hypocrites and cult life style devotees like you destroyed Africa from Idi Amin era to Mugabe regime, anybody who challenges your wrong doings must be labelled a destroyer like Abacha labelled and assassinated Kudirat Abiola.
Call your Nairaland mods here and let them read every comment I wrote and every reply from every other person. Then let all those who broke Nairaland rules be banned and we will see who goes down.
I dont live my life like some jobless people who have no work except posting on Nairaland, it has become their addiction and narcotic drug to suppress their economically unproductive daily life or non-existent fruitfull career.
I posted a comment to a Nigerian military video, how I write comment attached to it is my free choice, your low level brain has not yet figured out Nairaland has no official rules for style of communication, you dont have to like other peoples' comments for it to meet Nairaland requirements, you are not a god or a king, the breath and health of your life hangs by a razor thin thread in your two small nostrils like a mere human being.
Watch what you say and stop acting like Nairaland is a million naira rewarding forum where posting comments is a golden privilege and key to wealth, its a mere load of web megabytes that one internet hacker can wipe away in one day and all of you who think you own something will realize vanity of all vanity you own NOTHING !
I broke the backbone of the self styled mafia gang here who make rules not approved by Nairaland and try to impose those personal rules on other people on internet. I broke their cultic spinal chord and so shall it everly be.
SupremeCourt is here to stay, not leaving, and I am not bowing down for any of you as I stay here. Everybody has equal rights on Nairaland, so nothing like "We are the regular posters mafia that can do and undo above others".
If you dont kick me out of Nairaland, no be ya papa born you. Fool ![/s]
"How did I break the thread?" [Goes on to post a literal wall of text]
You will destroy this thread, and we will move on (again) and then you will destroy the next one (again).
Covert1: The present nature of warfare by proxies rather than state-on-state warfare fits that prognosis however any modern conventional war or as we see with heavily armed and highly mobile quasi-armies like ISIS, BHT etc Tanks become necessary else you struggle in offensives and can't hold ground, the north east, Syria and elsewhere come to mind.
Weird.
The Syrian Army had over 4000 MBT's at the start of the conflict...
Its almost as though MBT's are largely useless in asymmetrical warfare.
SupremeCourt: All T-72 models including your best T-72B3 model keep heavy loads of high explosive ammunition in same storage area with operating soldiers, so it cooks their flesh to ashes once a T-72 is hit in that space.
T-90 stores its ammo in the exact same way
SupremeCourt: T-72 has no anti-missile self-defence
Both A-series and B-series T72's have spaced composite armor.
T72B3 also has the exact same ERA (Kontakt-5) as the T-90 built into its hull.
SupremeCourt: no 8km range camera, no 5 km range gun sight like T-90.
The specifications you provide are bullsh1t. Targil =/= T90.
T-72B3 uses the Sonsa-U, which is more modern than the 1A45T used on the T-90/T80 (some use the 1A43). Theoretical engagement range for the Sonsa-U is beyond the guns effective range (up to 7km).
Both the T72B3 and T90 will get the Kalina FCS (found in the T-14) integrated into them.
See, this is your problem. You are like a child - these weird fantasies. Like a "T-90" (which one?) is just automatically "better" than a "T-72" (again, which one?).
You are so ignorant on this topic that you didnt even know the correct number of crew, let alone any actual specifications.
barineh: Exactly my point we should order the T72b3 to save costs so we can have funds for other things
I have no intention of creating conflict **but**
Of all the things one could buy - why in gods name would Nigeria buy MBT's?
Certain forum members are exhibiting a great degree of childish ignorance (blissful no doubt) by advocating such things.
The Professionals, that being your Officer Corps, will no doubt be looking at more mundane, practical and cost-effective force-multipliers - things that are actually likely to get used - more MRAP's, heavy weapons, logistics vehicles, Comms, medical equipment, training facilities etc etc. Also, there is the fact that the Army formations has no doubt suffered varying degrees of equipment attrition in the NE and that all has to be replaced, repaired and so on and so forth.
With armies, you could drop $1 billion and see nothing more than new boots and a mountain of spare parts and ammo boxes - and that would be a good thing.
truly, the most A E S T H E T I C Fighter of the jet-era. [Prove me wrong - Protip: You cant]
We live in this age of flying-laptops. The Grip, the F-35, the Su's, the Super-Hornets.
But never again, will there be the true purity of the clean-fighter. From the legacy of the Spitfire, the Mustang, the BF109E-F. They evolved: the the F-16, the Mirage, the Mig 29, the F-5.
Its the end of the era. Yet we mark it with a wimper.
Frumentum: The problem is that most of these groups are embedded with civilian populations. And of course Congolese politicians support some of these groups when it suits them. But the FIB will have to unilaterally go after the ADF especially if they're to keep out Uganda from intervening. Rwanda is also mightily pissed off that its ally M23 was removed from the field, and its enemy the FDLR is seemingly protected by the Congolese govt.
What foreign capital? After each tour they simply reimburse for what we put in. And that money comes out of SANDF ops funds, and comes back into National Treasury Revenue Fund. The SANDF is the loser here.
RE: Funds.
Nope - thats been amended (or is being amended), funds now go back to the SANDF. Whats so important is that we spend in ZAR and get money back in USD. So now the SANDF can start building its own reserves of USD - this is extremely important as it insulates them from the Rands volatility. The biggest winner with this would be the SAAF (jet fuel sold in USD only - and unlike other fuels, is not made in RSA) who can now start looking at making long term contracts without worrying about the Rand blowing out (again) and seeing budgets get blown.
TL;DR - USD reserves means that the SANDF can start safely securing losng term contracts.
I find it very interesting when Statesmen do this. Zuma has the Counter-Assault unit as was as the PPU to call on, both are para-military and both could certainly handle the threats one would likely face in Burundi.
One of the first Gripen pilots, SAAF's Lieutenant Colonel Musa Mbhokota, as at 2016 after 10 years has 2000 hours in total.. Which means less than 2000 actually because he's flown other platforms. This translates to less than 200 hours per year!!!
I'm actually done responding, it's a waste of time.
xwolverine: Owning and using are two distinct things. I wouldn't take an airforce that have struggled to exceed having 10 pilots after more than 10 years of owning a platform serious.
I'm left wondering what you guys do? Wake up each morning, get dressed, drive for some miles to go admire the Gripens parked in an hanger somewhere and go back to your dorms.. I'm sure you've got gripen models on you car dashboards eh?
You realize we used to operate 70+ Mirages right?
Holy sh1t bro, what are budgets and how do they work?
