Henry240: Seleka rebels could not be happier
It was a South-African open season, a full grade baazar.
The fleeing South-Africans provided Seleka with whatever was required.
You want a base, the South Africans got it
ATVs all yours
Armed South-Africans technicals, no issues, we got it.
What about battle vests....... All yours bro. You are comparing a handfull of small arms, light skinned vehicles and personal equipment to APC's, Tanks, mortars, artillery, LAV's, MRAP's, tonnes of munitions? Lol, ok bud. Call me when seleka captures an Olifant tank

Henry240: Is this your best comeback ?
We turned your elite troops into mechanics, they aren't complaining, neither should you. Accept it.
Most of them fixed the vehicles as they were told, only lutz went about wandering away. Anyway the rest is history.
Nigeria performed a military miracle in 6 weeks, that's why we have South-Africans, Namibians, Southern Africans, Angolans, West-Africans running to Nigeria to take military courses.
The Chadians and Cameroonians were the anvil, we were the hammer.
If you want to see evidence of your soldiers and those of your neighbors in our Defence collages, by no means ask. I'll post them.
Sore loser. "bending reality to suite your beliefs" Until recently Boko Haram was humiliating the Nigerian military, driving it out of one town after another in north-eastern Nigeria.
But in the weeks before last weekend’s presidential elections, the Nigerian defence force went on an aggressive offensive against the group, recapturing most of the territory it had lost.
This change of fortune has been attributed to the greater involvement of regional armies as well as private security forces in the fight.
These are the facts. You got wrecked yesterday with your stup.idity, and now we see your usual childish lashing out. Stop derailing the thread, stop insulting forum members. Be better. |

And if you really believe a hand full of pension seeking South Africans really won a war for Nigeria, Mental help is what you need to seek man. A handfull of South Africans won the war in Seirra Leone and against UNITA in Angola. #FACT |

chike00: i know @patches and @greengold or wateva dey call themselves will have something to say but it never mattered to me . if we can list how many current conflicts happening in africa(from poachers to rebels to terrorism) the south african defence industry should be raking in arms contract like the angolans, nigerians algerians did with oil yrs back.. not just listing a few hundred missiles sold. please i need answers from level headed southies why this is. I guess you missed the part where we are a top 20 arms exporter with a company in the top 100 biggest in the world. Listing a "few hundred missiles" is a few hundred missiles more than anyone else in S.S.A |

They are bragging about using Rooivalks to attack thugs looking for UN food. It's sad! Boko Haram used to be thugs looking for food! Until the Nigerian army gave them all their equipment!

Henry240: I know it hurts. The mechanic died fixing vehicles. He loved his new job role, from hunting black South-Africans to doing menial jobs in Nigeria's N.E. What a shame!
That's what Nigeria does to your elite troops. As soon as that vehicle breaks down, it's c'mon boet, bring me the spanner, we got a job to do.
- Mr Patches, why can't we see the face of the pilot? Where is he from?
I can tell you, and also show you evidence that the South-Efricans commando was used in fixing vehicles? So what are those men doing in the pictures i posted? You telling me Nigeria hired 500 mechanics? Leon Lotz was once a member of Koevoet – “crowbar” in Afrikaans – a paramilitary police unit created by South Africa’s apartheid regime to root out guerrillas in what is now Namibia. Thirty years later, something persuaded him to take up arms again in a foreign country. He was killed in March, apparently by friendly fire from a tank in northern Nigeria. Among the most striking facts about Lotz was his age: 59.
A wealth of media reports, witness accounts and photos on social media suggest that he was not the only white mercenary who helped turn the tide against the Islamist militant group Boko Haram in recent weeks, allowing Nigeria to hold a relatively peaceful election last month. Whether as technical advisers or frontline combatants, some are said to have come from the former Soviet Union but about 300 are reportedly from South Africa and nearing retirement age ----- Until recently Boko Haram was humiliating the Nigerian military, driving it out of one town after another in north-eastern Nigeria.
But in the weeks before last weekend’s presidential elections, the Nigerian defence force went on an aggressive offensive against the group, recapturing most of the territory it had lost.
This change of fortune has been attributed to the greater involvement of regional armies as well as private security forces in the fight. No need to be childish. You couldent win your war, so you hired South Africans and Russians and asked Chad and Cameroon to do it for you.

chkil: man their is only 12 rooivalks in all the world ! 12 ! some prototype programs have more then 12 units ! you can't compare the legendary hinds working from 1971 , built by thousands , one of the most selled attack helicopter in the world, who still bought until todays , who work all around the world, active in most wars and still burn battlefields until today against the most diffcult insurgency , with 12 helicopter first service 2011 , who sleep in a hangar with only 2 of them flying painted all white for peace operation MONUSCO . We are comparing the equal number of aircraft flying in the same conditions. One type crashed, one type did not. What can we conclude from this? |

We turned the Koevoet operator into a mechanic.

Lotz is reportedly from KwaZulu-Natal, and was engaged in the support and care of vehicles used by the Nigerian military in their current onslaught against insurgency."

iblawi: Mr miss informed, the Nigerian airforce don't just drop bombs, they have access to satellite imagery, ISR platforms and even PGMs just like many advanced airforce. It's not by how many Aircrafts you have but by how well you use the little you have. I believe we are far ahead of South African airforce with 26 Gripens jet but just 6-9 qualified pilots and 4 hawks with only one pilot who can land at sea. Every country don't fight war like the US. All that matters is that our strategy works well for us and many countries have been trooping to Nigeria to learn this wonderful low cost strategy of defeating terrorist.
And for your Senegal, Niger, Mali and cameroon invasion, all I can do is to laugh in Pidgin. You can add South Africa to the list too and I swear nothing would still happen. minimum of 14 Gripen Pilots 20+ Hawks pilots an *ACTUAL* Recon/Spy satellite Get your facts straight, if you want a pissing contest go elsewhere. |

iblawi: Hey, Miss informed guy, we are not only US to West Africa but to Africa too. If you like you can cry.
You can ask US how long they've battled with talibans, alqeada, ISIS, terrorism in US and other. Many countries are by far more peaceful than US in terms of crime and terrorism despite the amount they spend on security.
South Africa couldn't secure their country from poachers and you blame another for not defending themselves from terrorist despite having terrorist in Mali, Libya, Algeria, Egypt and clashes in countries like C.A.R, Congo, Sudan, South Sudan, etc which is enough market to resupply weapons and fighters to them. Look at these guys. They beat up tiny Gambia and now they are America? Get a grip. |

Henry240: The company did not go bankrupt, it rather bankrupted the nation of South Africa. Yes, so, so much better. Wise guy.
Armscor bankrupted SA and the Cameron commission of inquiry found it to be incredibly corrupt and incredibly incompetent.
Are you happy now? You see? You are so desperate to bash south africa because of your deep insecuritie and massive inferiority complex that you repeat the nonsense spewed by an slowpoke. 1. ARMSCOR making South Africa go broke... think about what you are saying. Just think for a second. 2. The Cameron inquiry had NOTHING TO DO WITH CORRUPTION/INCOMPETANCE. The Cameron inquiry was focused on South Africa breaking sanctions and selling arms to other countries. http://mg.co.za/article/1995-06-02-sas-arms-dealing-underworldYou are so desperate to throw insults So desperate to pull South Africa down, hoping that will pull Nigeria up (it wont) You will say and do anything Without thinking Without researching and make a fool of yourself.
