TalkTalkTwins:
Before you start hating on Chimaamanda, you have to hate on yourself first. Must you side the woman because she attacked CNA?
Okay, check this out...

- She said that female genital mutilation is predominant in Nigeria, how many people still practice that today? How did she confirm it?
- Must it be Adichie that will attack the female genital mutilation? Can't you do that or is your only life on NL? When will you get small sense to know that someone else is speaking her opinion and you are entitled to yours?

Seriously the hate is getting out of hand and she is going higher. The more you hate, the more she meets presidents!

From a loyal fan...
Unfortunately for men, there will always be cuckolds like you. Tell me, do you also suck semen from your wife's vjay when she sleeps with her gateman?

The kids probably climbed into the refrigerator themselves and shut it while playing and couldn't open it again from inside suffocating thereafter. Either that or the parents should be thoroughly questioned over what happened to their kids. I don't see any thing to indicate that this was done by an outsider or that the kids were forced into the refrigerator, the story doesn't just add up

Actually he doesn't own a rolls Royce, he uses a sonata and a jeep.

There needs to be moderation in the Pentecostal bloc of Christianity.. Some certain things are just not necessary. Not all churches should require usage of jets. As per vehicles there is no need to go for the most exotic. Something functional but trendy is still ok. Why go for the most expensive and exclusive vehicles. As papa Hagin would say when it comes to the prosperity message there is a thin line between the permissible and objectionable.

Powerline is more than 330KVA my brother..330KVA are on tension line,it can transport current on a long range like Lagos to lbadan without loosed much content unlike 110KVA before it step down for 220 volts
That's a 33kv tower not 330. The guy was almost touching the sky wire which does not carry live current. If he had come as much as 5 meters close to the phase lines (RYB), he'd have been gone in microseconds.

TV/MoviesRe: ‘Shehu Umar’: Film On Tafawa Balewa’s Book To Premiere In Germany by patwilly(m):
How do I get this book? Had a copy when I was in primary school but lost it. A very interesting read about young shehu sold into slavery at a very young age, first to Kano and then across the sahara to Egypt? Ultimately his mum goes out to look for him or perish in the attempt. She got caught by slave raiders and was sold to a slaver in Tripoli. Shehu completes his Koranic education with flying colours and convinces his kind master to journey back to Kano. As providence will have it, in the course of the journey, they rest in the house of the Tripoli slaver. Shehu is reunited with his mother, buys her freedom and the entire party continue their journey. On the way his Ill mother dies and in great anguish, he buries his mother. The caravan continue their journey across the sahara but are caught up in a very dangerous sandstorm which separates every member of the caravan party. Shehu after three days and nearly dying of thirst sees his camel and takes a drink. He meets kind travellers thereafter and continues his journey.
This book is a very compelling read even though my memory of it is still a bit hazy as its been twenty long years I read it..in primary school, but I still remember how enamoured I was by the sheer weight of emotion the author was able to pass through the characters to the reader. its historical connotation cannot as well be disregarded in view of its perfect description of the trans-saharan slave trade. I think the original version was written in Hausa but was translated to English by another author. A fine book by Nigeria's first prime minister which offers insight as well into life in northern Nigeria as it were long before the days of colonialism. A very important aspect of northern Nigerian literature which unfortunately, no authors from that part of the country have taken it upon themselves to write about. I think there has been a dearth of real Nigerian authors from the north in the mould of chinua Achebe, cyprain ekwensi , woke Soyinka etc and this means there's virtually no compelling, easily available literature from that part of the country. This as well means its culture, heritage and tradition remains a mystery to so many persons like myself.

EducationTwo Teachers, Ayodele Odeogbola And Itodo Anthony, Shortlisted For $1m Prize by patwilly(op): 7:20pm On Dec 14, 2017
Two Nigerian teachers have been shortlisted for the prestigious Global Teacher Prize, funded by His Highness, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum — the Vice President of the United Arabs Emirate, Prime Minister and Emir of Dubai all rolled into one.
The two teachers are Messrs Ayodele Odeogbola and Itodo Anthony , who teach in Abeokuta , Ogun State ; and Otukpa , Benue State , respectively .
Al Maktoum funds the award through the Varkey Foundation, his not -for -profit organisation established to improve the standards of education for underprivileged children throughout the world .“Our mission is that every child should have a good teacher ,” the Foundation says on its website .
The Global Teacher Prize is a $ 1 m award presented annually to an exceptional teacher who has made an outstanding contribution to their profession . Citizens of any country are free to apply .
The first award was presented in 2015, and 2017 marks the first time that any Nigerian teacher would feature on the finalists’ list.
According to the sponsors of the award , the prize serves to underline the importance of educators and the fact that , throughout the world , their efforts deserve to be recognised and celebrated .
Ayodele Odeogbola teaches STEM Education and Global Studies to 11 -15 -year -olds in Abeokuta Grammar School, Ogun State .
According to his bio on the GTP website , Odeogbola is passionate about developing his learners to be future leaders and become stakeholders in their world , using collaboration , critical thinking , creativity and communication, combined with innovation and new technology to transform learning .
“In class , he has chosen gifted students as leaders to head groups and review every learning activity – many of these have gone on to become leaders in higher education.
“Rather than teach the same thing in the same way to all , Ayodele seeks to match the different needs , potentials and learning paths of each child ,” his biography reads.
The second nominee , Itodo Anthony , teaches at the Gateway Excel College , Otukpa , Benue State .
At the beginning of his career in a small rural school , not many people understood why Anthony would get a masters degree from a UK university and end up teaching in a village for ‘peanuts .’
“But this was part of his mission – to elevate the teaching profession to a place of pride , to say with his own life that the profession is a noble one whose value is not tied to how much we earn,” his biography says .
When Anthony teaches in class , he tries to introduce positive values from other parts of the world to broaden pupils ’ view of life , educating them about the virtues of justice , institutional soundness , community service , and value creation
In line with tradition , the Top 10 finalists will be announced in February 2018 , while the winner will receive his / her prize in March.

Christianity EtcRe: Who Is Afraid Of Daddy Freeze? By Femi Aribisala by patwilly(m): 7:16am On Dec 14, 2017
Statsocial:
First of all no Pastor is being threatened by freeze or whatever you call him. Some of them are just alarmed by his effrontery just the same way the Apostles of Old were alarmed at some individuals who were trying to mislead the Church with a different message even though they had no Authority to do so.

You need to get something straight no matter what you do you can't stop the core rccg, winners, Deeperlife or mfm members from paying tithes. Perhaps the only ppl you would convince are ppl who never paid before.
And I would say this, whether Christians pay tithe or not is entirely up to pastors to decide.

When Jesus left the Earth he gave the church two things
1) The Holy Spirit
2) Men of God(Church leaders)

He did this because he believed the Church would be fine as long as the Hierarchy in Church holds. This goes in line with how God establishes institutions. When he created the family he made the man the head and when man said that structure wasn't in line with modernity they began to do it their own way and today America has a 50% divorce rate resulting in many fatherless children many of whom end up in prisons, addicts etc.

Back to Churches. Whenever there was dispute in the Early Church the Jewish Christians, Macedonian Christians, Corithian Christians, Thessalonians all wrote to the Church for Doctrinal Guidance and Church responded with scriptural(old testament) references. They sought for the leadership of the Apostles even though they had access to the same Old Testament that Paul Used to prove the instructions of the Church. They knew it was important to achieve oneness in the body of Christ so they had to submit to the leadership of the Church in Humility.

The same Berean Christians that is so cited by most of these rebels got their proof from Paul who used the Old Testament to build his case. How is it now that the same Old Testament is abominable to use by today's pastors. We all Know what the opinion of Abraham, Moses and Jesus about the Tithe.

Lol some of those rascals even claimed Jesus was referring to the Pharisees. However the Church learned to pray in sincerity after Jesus condemned the PHARISEES for hypocritical prayer and fasting. The Church learnt not to Condemn after Jesus defended the adulterous woman who was being hounded by Legalist(PHARISEES), the church learned that Sabbath was not important after Jesus played down Sabbath while conversing with Pharisees. How is it now that the same Jesus who taught the Church using the Pharisee is now being sidelined in the Faith he created?

The only ones whose opinion was never recorded about Tithing were the Apostles of the Early Church. Understanbly because Christians gave more than the Tithe in those days. However the Apostles of the Early Church are in the same dispensation as the apostles of today. Hence the clarity over tithing can only be given by Today's Church leaders.

The last time when Church members tried to school the Apostles it led to an error of Peter and resulted in Paul having to openly rebuke him.
At a time, Paul was so pressured by some of these know it all Christians that he had to carry out circumsicision on an adult male to pacify some church people

That same mistake would never be allowed to repeat itself! The Church leaders have the Authority to lead the Church and no one else. If you are not happy about it you can stay in your house!

Lastly what is Femi Aribisala angry about with Ashimolowo calling Freeze a Yoyo. Haven't you heard how Paul delivered the physical body of a Christian who was troubling him to be judged by Satan(which essentially means Sickness)

Freeze as probably done worse by insulting Pastors and calling them Yahoo boys hence those pastors are allowed to Spiritually deal with him. Let us correct his brain so his spirit can be saved.
