Will the money be recovered? The endless prosecutions by EFCC seems not to have conclusions! |
The surname before she got married. Had to fill that while renewing my passport at the Nigerian High Commission. |
Nurse Metuh has really lost it! He should be listing out all the world class roads they built in the last 16 years likewise mass housing estates Nigerians are presenting living in before any sound minded individual can listen to him! ![]() |
Human capital development is what really counts because it decides what a Country would look like. Take for example, Timor-Leste that is about the combined size of Abia, Anambra and Imo with a population of about 1.5million people and has unfettered access to the sea but has the lowest Human Development Index and the highest Human Poverty Index in Asia. One can have a Country as big as the U.S but very unproductive while a Country that is as small as the size of Lagos will be a dream place to migrate to. The quality of the human mind determines the development of an area. |
Looking so simple. |
Caution is not fear, make awon boys no collect what he is managing! ![]() |
kaycid77:Now this is an example of Humans having the brain of a FISH..... First, if you have really comprehended my post you would not have started out with your opening statement, which l cheerfully return back to you! ![]() Anyone who do not share your line of thought is certainly not an igbo....Nna jiri wayo! ![]() Bringing Israel into my post was to prove that knowledge is superior over size because in my line of work l have the expertise to grow a seemingly exotic fruit like Strawberry anywhere in the South east and with just a plot of land l can harvest 2,000kg of Organic Strawberries on a monthly basis which a farmer who is in Niger State that is almost 3 times the entire South east can not produce with the vast land at his disposal. I am a person who believes one person can change the perception of many towards the direction of something that would create a new economy, Another tribe cannot be the excuse for not bringing about a change on how our women who have to cut down trees for firewood to fry garri but can produce more of the same garri with less stress and the health problems related to the use of firewood. This is what a local government chairman can set up with less than One million Naira, which is no where the cost of his official cars. |
They should also protest so that Muslim women in the Nigerian Police Force, the Army, the Navy and the Air force be allowed to wear the Hijab! Muslims make up approximately 90 percent of the population of Senegal but it banned their women from wearing burqas for security reasons while these ones are protesting the ban which is just for a short period during the camp! |
pazienza:Refer to my earlier post where l cited human capital development making the difference. For any region be it South West, South East or the North it has to go through a complete turn around. My specialization is in Small space, More harvest Agriculture and having worked in both Anambra and Enugu States and can boldly say we are presently not doing well agriculturally, go to the Agric section where l moderate, you will read igbos complaining about their inability to access land for their agro projects because of the high cost, where a plot is offered for what a hectare is offered for in Oyo State. The South easterners are more leaned towards to enterprises outside Agriculture, when l was working in Awka North, to get farm hands was an issue despite having idle youths in the villages most would say they don't look like someone from Abakaliki...how denigrating! ![]() I presently work with many agro projects outside Nigeria and know that what South East need is a far different approach from what is even obtainable in other parts of Nigeria adopting what will make 2 tonnes of strawberries be harvested on a monthly basis from a plot of land in any part of the South East, how to produce 500 litres of fresh milk daily from cows within a plot of land. The government do have a role to play but the change need start from the individual because running diary farms and horticulture which l earlier highlighted do not need Political will to get it going, it is all about interest. |
The combined size of the 5 South East is about the size of Kogi State as the size of Akampa Local Government Area (5,003 km²) which is just one Local Government Area in Cross River State while Anambra State is 4,844 km². The South East is the smallest region in terms of land size thus the reason why most food come from outside. Israel is smaller in size land wise and far smaller in population in comparison to the South East but Israel is one of the world's leading food exporting countries....the difference is the human capital development which determines the quantity and quality of output. |
Very commendable. |
Igbos don't joke with their businesses, telling them to close down their shops are you going to help them take care of their responsibilities? |
It means Nigeria is presently earning less than $15 as profit per barrel. |
That means till February 2016! ![]() |
Sad, this internal wrangling is everywhere! |
rudebouy:Guess it was intended to open up the area. |
Sheer stupidity! |

Wish there would be further crash on the price of crude, then diversifying the economy will no longer be mere talk and wastage in government will become an issue to deal with! |
Nice one. |
Waiting for Audu's family response. |
mashnino:Your family is into Irish potatoes in Jos while you live in Lagos. Look for market outlets in Lagos such as eateries that are into potatoes chips. Since it is straight from the farm to Lagos, no middle men involved your price should be competitive. Work on packaging, have the potatoes washed, sorted and packed in plastic crates as against sacks. You can bring it down to Lagos with sacks but for delivery plastic crates will make sense. Something like the attached picture.
|
OP, you ignored the other side of the coin! |
biafranqueen:He had a public lecture in June at the University of Nairobi when he came home after many years. He is a well of deep thoughts and l was fortunate to attend. |
biafranqueen:Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o is a deep mind. Love his Decolonising the Mind. |
