Politics / Re: The Katsina Lawmaker Who Sent His Children To A Public School by pawa4ul: 2:35pm On Nov 16, 2013
baba11: Simpleseyi has given u complete response i would have loved to give u but let me add mine.African mentality and nigerian factors has almost rob us of our thinking.I can't see any reason to praise somebody u chose to lead you.For God's sake,he's doing his work and how does this cost compare to allocation he was given? The day we begin to challenge our leaders on how they lead us,is the day we are moving inch by inch to our so callled 'promised land'!
That he bought sandals and socks is not the reason people are singing praises and praying for him, but for having the sense of both justice, empathy and equity that made him send his children to public school is what people are commending. That way, he as a law maker can know the quality of education that is inherent in his locality. God guide him.

kenndemot: It really disgust me wen i read how pple praise GEJ on NL, a man who has no clue about how to move Nigeria forward, a man encouraging his errand boys like Wike to cause mayhem in Rivers. No matter what, Ameachi was elected by the people if they like it or not, no amount of intimidations can change that, if Wike wants to be Gov'nor, he should go about it in a democratic way and not by his errand boy attitude. I hope Aso Rock dont dump him at the end of the day. Remember, NO PERMANENT ENEMIES OR FRIENDS IN POLITICS, AMEACH AND GEJ CAN BECOME BEST OF FRIENDS BEFORE 2015!

Pls remove the spells from your eyes, stop being myopic and look down and see the good works of GEJ. Criticize objectively. Sit down and think before writing your posts.

Religion / Re: Who Is The Most Powerful Angel Created By God? by pawa4ul: 5:47pm On Sep 29, 2013
exPLIcit7: don't say that...when I say powerful I don't mean who is winning more souls and who isn't...in the area of might, satan is not the most powerful angel...there are other angels more powerful than he...in the battle in heaven,MICHAEL the archangel defeated him in a single combat...satan isn't the most powerful angel he is winning more souls because of his crafty nature...Angels are not weak as most people think they are...ARCHANGEL MICHAEL is more powerful than he...time will come when the most powerful host in heaven will be released by GOD...as we all know this is the time of Grace...

So why are u asking when you have all this fact. You should have just lectured us.
Islam for Muslims / Re: Secrets Of A Muslim Woman by pawa4ul: 6:21am On Sep 27, 2013
@Poster...But wouldn’t you agree that to judge a religion merely by looking at the actions of some of the people who claim to follow it is not really fair? I mean, surely to get a true understanding of Islam, we’ve got to look at what its teachings are, what its book says about it – not just at the behaviour of some people who call themselves Muslims. And to get an unbiased understanding, we’ve got to approach the topic with an open mind – not allowing the things we’ve read in the papers or seen on TV to colour our view.

Agreed, I have been/worked in some Islamic nations (saudi, Qatar, Indonesia) and my guys there will say same thing. You will even see that they are really nice and welcoming especially in Indonesia (Balikpapan). But one thing skips my mind each time I go back to work...the fact that you do not talk about their religion...looking like it's by force...

Secondly, if we are sincere to ourselves, we would agree that it's in the Islamic nations world over, that we have more troubles or political instability and terror. It becomes someworth difficult to convince me to accept the religion. This is a twist to me...

Now, how can explain that Islam preaches peace yet we see the lifestyles of the followers of Islam being a great problem to human race. I just pray that the ones spoiling the name of the religion should retrace their steps and follow the tenets of Islam, so we can have a big one and happy family like you said earlier.
Education / Re: Rivers Police Stop Teachers From Collecting Posting Letters by pawa4ul: 4:21pm On Sep 25, 2013
giftnwala: what is wrong if he politic with the employement of 13000 teachers, have ur GEJ employed 13000 people and he wont use it as campaign slogan 4 2015 election? Ameachi is workin nd haters r dieing. You people should tell your GEJ 2 seat up. For me, i am from rivers state, i wont vote jonathan cum 2015 coz jonathan have not done anything to justify anyone's vote cum 2015 from any right reasoning nigerian. Jonathan shuld plz leave ameachi alone.

This is support by sentiment! Did you read the post comparing Rivers State and Rwanda? If you are criticizing GEJ, do that with facts. You guys just want to write something so we know you are also NLders. What description would you give to this Stone-aged style of disbursement of letters to 13,000 people in this super-sonic age? Can Fashola do this? Why do you have the media? Why do we have millions of Nigerians using this NL as a means of exchanging their ideas? I expected you to go out from one town to another telling every single individual what you just wrote rather than posting it here.
Did you ever imagine how rowdy that place would have been today?

Wrong target at the CP and GEJ

I don't understand what is wrong with these backward trending set of people/politicians. We are preaching that we want an advancement in Nigerian govt., criticizing GEJ on daily basis yet subjecting our citizens to long suffering and hardship. The funniest thing is that Nigerians do not support or discriminate issues with reasons or facts, but with sentiments.
Tell me how in this modern age you would not send out postings through e-mails.

Meanwhile, in Rivers State, you do not gather publicly without police clearance. Not long ago, the State govt arrested some well meaning individuals holding meeting in the state and themed it ''ILLEGAL GATHERING.'' If the assemblage of less than 30 persons would be termed ''Illegal,'' tell me how the gathering of 13,000 persons without police knowledge will not be termed same.

Is this to announce that the state created 13000 jobs? Maybe salaries of Civil servants will be paid in the Stadium going forward in this state/country.

Politics / Who Is Fooling Who? Enough Is Enough! by pawa4ul: 6:59pm On Sep 17, 2013
In 1983, Bamanga Tukur was the Governor of the defunct Gongola State (now Adamawa & Taraba) and 30 years later, he is today the Chairman of the ruling party, The PDP.
Dr. Bello Halliru was commissioner in the Old Sokoto State ( now Sokoto , Kebbi & Zamfara) and 33 years after he is today Minister of Defence.
Major General David Mark(rtd) was the military governor of Niger State in 1984 and 28years later he is today the Senate President.
Gov. Murtala Nyako was the governor of Niger State in 1976 and 36years later he is today the Governor of Adamawa State.
Ogbonnaya Onu was governor of Abia State in 1992 and 20years after he is today the National Chairman of ANPP.
Gov. David Jonah Jang was the governor of Benue State in 1985 and 27years after he is today the governor of plateau state;
and Martins Elechi the Ebonyi State Governor is over 80years Old! Only in Nigeria is this possible, where the youth of today have no hope into the future!
A Cross section of the National Assembly (Senate) will show you a number of Ex-Governors who after two terms as Governors of their different states made the Senate their restroom fooling us to be Senators representing our interest. Where do we go from here?
1985, IBB was the President of Nigeria and our teachers told us that Buhari was the former Head of State... Our teacher also called us ''the leaders of tomorrow''.. 27years later IBB and Buhari are still contesting for Presidency... Its either our teacher lied to us about being the leaders of tomorrow... Or tomorrow is yet to come... Who's fooling who?
Some of us ran out of the country, Obasanjo went abroad chasing them, telling all nations to deport Nigerian youths.
Let's stand and fight for our right because we are the leaders of Today...
Please let all youth come to an alliance and fight for the unborn. We can't continue like this. Pass it to everyone if you believe in the NIGERIA DREAM. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, I signed it will you do the same.

Be careful how you treat people and learn to take some words seriously.

simpleseyi:

Pls change what you are drinking. If you want to drink alomo bitters, take it alone, dont mix with oginigba or chelsea dry gin. Isa Yugudu is the governor of Bauchi state, he was elected under ANPP before he ran to PDP and married Yar-Adua's daughter as fourth wife. Pls tell him to vacate his seat first, and also leave Yar-Adua's daughter for Pastor Chris Okotie (he has no wife presently), then we shall know how to push other cross-carpeting governors out.

Why can't we show some sense of maturity when we write on NL. Did you read to the end of the post before trying to mete out insults? You guys just think it's honourable to come and rain insults in this forum. Pls grow up!
I categorically stated that this should apply to other governors... The post also says "I do not know what the constitution says about this... because I know that people like you would also read.

♥Dεs•Chγκσ♥:
You have a point there. But then it gives me cause to wonder. Did we vote in the quality of the governor or the party? If we voted in the party, are we accepting that the governor then must be influenced by some powers within? If we do, then we should know where the Governor's loyalty would lie..to his Godfather..and we've accepted it with our acknowledgement. I think it's best we stick with and mete out justice to the man(governor). Party or no Party.

I earnestly think this should be addressed in the National Assy and be well defined.
Politics / Okorocha, Amaechi, Others Should Quit If Party Is Changed by pawa4ul: 10:48am On Aug 28, 2013
Really don't know what the Nigerian Constitution says nor what the different constitution of the various political parties say concerning governors who will defect to other political party when still serving in their capacity as governors under a different party.
Example is Gov. Okorocha of Imo state who occupied the seat under APGA and now has defected to the APC. If Okorocha is no longer in APGA, then he should step aside as governor since the seat was won by APGA. Same thing should apply to Gov. Amaechi of Rivers state who we hear is forming a new party the 'VOP'. Rivers state govt seat was won by PDP and if he (Amaechi) should leave the party, then he should also vacate the seat as governor. This should also apply to other governors who have defected to other parties while still serving or will want to do so in the future.

Just my thinking

PLs grow up! This programme is really rubbish! It is nothing short of Pornography. It is just an avenue of People coming to taste the sexual lifestyle of other country men. If we are truthful to ourselves, we will not hide the truth of moral decadence exhibited by this programme. We expect that BB should put stringent measures and rules in the house to curb the rubbish they are doing there.

I support you my brother! This Guy should forget about whatever he holds for Nigeria and go for a greener pasture. This same Nigeria would forget him if he is injured tomorrow. Come to think of it, why won't he be tried when he plays in a league that produces over 130 goals in only two games. What's the pride we are talking about here. If you are good, go and get tried. Engineers are tested before being gainfully employed. Talking about the issue of Neymar, we should stop it because they are not in the same class. Guy, go for the trials and win yourself a better life.

lexyking: I'm still trying to figure out what brought MJ's picture into the video of this song as no mention of. Him was made in the song but now I know they used it as a selling point to get some attention from the states. My advise to them is to be 100% real and create a niche for themselves rather than chosing to walk in someone else's shadow cos the truth be said they can never really be taken as MJ's prodigy

My friend, pls grow up! These guys are merely attributing the success in dance steps today to MJ. It's not just the lyrics but the body moves we have all over the world. If we tell ourselves some truth, we will know between thin lines that you'll hardly find a good dancer that does not employ MJ's style. Rather than crucify them we should even praise them for been good dancers. Anyways, I have not seen a better duet/duo than this PSquare guys in Nigerian music industry.

Politics / Re: Abacha's Daughter Lash-Out At Wole Soyinka On Twitter by pawa4ul: 6:23am On Jul 18, 2013
That Abacha stole money does not mean his daughter did. BTE, why do we like to always derail from the subject matter all the time in Nigeria. The lady was right in her tweet. To talk about a spell in someone's eyes, you need to remove the one in your eyes.
Woke Songonka or Soyinka or whatever he is called is a disgrace to the award he bagged. He could not not even manage a small level of mad cultic nation called his family that he had to be married three times and divorced three times, yet he opens his junior mouth to talk ill of the presidency. He took an offer in the military regime to satisfy his greedy quest for money and today he is talking here and there about democracy. I don't even want to talk about his stupid comments after Achebe died. He has no respect for the dead! Achebe was widely acclaimed the Father of African literature and it spinned Wole's head off the pivot. Can Wole ever be as honourable as Achebe by rejecting national awards when he feels it is bastardized? Yet you all call him a professor. I can never consider a three time divorcee as normal or take his words seriously. Come to think of it, do we not think that the Abacha's daughter knows some bad story about the so called professor of nothing good for her to send such tweets? Let reason prevail. Wole pls grow up. To drop my pen, hope we all remember what he called women...
