Only if Christians practice their Christianity rightly according to how early Christians in the bible practiced the religion, no one dares to criticize Christians. Rather, they will be having more converts.
Criticism of Christians by anyone implies that there is something they are not doing right especially in the area of unity of the church. Every sects are interpreting scriptures anyhow it suits them |

That generation have since gone, this generation is this generation (wars and rumors of wars, famines and earthquakes, Many false prophets will arise, lawlessness is increased, love will grow cold, etc.)
Jesus didn't come in power after his resurrection, like He is going to
He will come in power when he comes with His angels and has the devil bound a thousand years, and has the beast and false prophet thrown into the lake of fire, destroys the armys of the world gathered at Jerusalem, and He reigns on earth for a millinium The book of revelation was a vision John saw which may have happened during the early Christian church, perhaps may have happened long time ago. stop living in day dreams. you have your current life to live and that is the most important. The literal meaning of mark of the beast or to worship the beast, or Babylon the great in revelation refers to a dominant religion at the time early Christians were persecuted. This dominant religion (whatever the religion was) persecuted Christianity and of course three days after Jesus was executed, He rose from the dead is that not coming with glory enough, what else do you want? Paul addressing the early Christian church, not us o 1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the worldSo, the antichrist is not what is coming, it has already been there. They persecute early Christians and killed the martyrs. Are you saying that Jesus has returned see,in the real sense Jesus has been returning, remember he told his disciples after he resurrected that it will not take long for him to return? If you are stil waiting for him to return after 2000 years that's long now. It means, you never understood what he meant when he said he was returning soon because he said his return shall be visible just like the sun that rises and sets? hmm! Parables! Please find out the meaning Are you saying that the elect has been raptured? Jesus preached resurrection of the dead. That the dead in Christ will be resurrected just like he had resurrected. Hence whosever believed in him shall have everlasting life. But that thing you people called rapture? It's nowhere to be found in the bible, i don't know where you people got it from Are you saying that every nation is walking in hatred toward Israel? Christ came to saved the world and he has done it. I don't know what you people are still doing with Israel with their old covenant beliefs. See, Israel today is just like every other nations of the world who cares about them? Their Pharisees antagonized Christ( and crucified him and perhaps, they were the antichrists who killed early Christians, but where is their nation today? They lost everything over the years. Even their King Solomon great temple they so adored is where to be found. The prophecies Christ gave were many and he said they will witness them all. And he even said that generation will not pass until they witness them all or are Christians today doubting what Christ has said such thst they are stil waiting for his coming? I don't get it Let's stop twisting the scripture just to win an argument.
The prophecies failed because of the plan God has for us the Gentiles which he hid from Christ at that time. you believed that the prophesies fail because you have not seen Jesus coming physically, unknown to you that he has been coming |

johnw47: Jesus didn't come in power after his resurrection This is what Jesus told his disciples before he was crucified when they asked him will few be saved? Luke 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate(ie the gate of the kingdom): for many(referring to the multitude of disciples who followed him at that time), I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. Take note of the emboldened Luke 13:25 When once THE MASTER OF THE HOUSE(referring to Jesus himself) IS RISEN UP and hath shut to the door... This implies that the resurrection of Jesus was literally the gate of the kingdom spoken in all his parables, the era of salvation. That resurrection was the coming of Jesus with power and Glory but he will come in power when he comes with His angels no! There is no such thing When the disciples asked him about the signs of his coming in Matthew 24, they already had it at their minds that his coming was about to happen right there in their presence. So Jesus told them when they hear wars and rumours of wars. Ofcourse, the Roman empire conquered Israel at that time and pilates who judged Jesus ruled Israel unbehalf of the Roman empire. There was famine, pestilence and so on. All these may have occurred due to wars at that time which was part of the signs And remember, when Jesus was crucified there was earthquake and there was darkness. All these were part of the signs and has the devil bound a thousand years, and has the beast and false prophet thrown into the lake of fire, destroys the armys of the world gathered at Jerusalem, and He reigns on earth for a millinium thank God you even mention Jerusalem here. Why Two Prophecies of Jesus Were Unfulfilled - 1.
"For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Verily I say unto you, THERE BE SOME STANDING HERE, WHICH SHALL NOT TASTE OF DEATH, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom."(Matthew 16:27-28).
Our Lord Jesus gave two prophecies that were unfulfilled with regards to the time frame they were supposed to happen. First of all, it's important to note here that our Lord Jesus didn't operate as God on earth even though he is fully God in human flesh. He functioned as man on earth. This was why he had to be anointed by the Holy Spirit to carry out his ministry.
So, as man, he didn't know all things. The prophecy he gave as contained in the opening text was with clarity of terms. He said that some of his audience standing with him will not taste death till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Jesus is yet to come as foretold but that generation are long dead. Now, the question is, why wasn't it fulfilled as spoken?
It's because of the present church age which was still a mystery at that time. The word mystery in this context means hidden secret. Before the death of Christ, salvation was only for the Jews because they were the only nation on earth in covenant relationship with God. At that time, the Gentiles had no covenant with God - Ephesians 2:12. So, salvation was not yet extended to the Gentiles. This is why Jesus instructed his disciples when he sent them out to preach; "... Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: BUT GO RATHER TO THE LOST SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL." (Matthew 10:5-6).
On another occasion, he said to the Canaanite woman who requested him to heal her daughter; "... I am not sent BUT UNTO THE LOST SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL."(Matthew 15:24). Salvation extended to the Gentiles after his death when the children of Israel rejected him as their Messiah. Thus, it is written; "He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." (John 1:11-12).
So, if not for the opportunity given to the Gentiles which constitutes the present day church, the prophecy would have been fulfilled within the specified time frame. Isreal as a nation is partially blind with respect to the salvation Jesus brought. The blindness will only be removed when God is through the Gentiles - Romans 11:25-26. We will look at the second prophecy tomorrow.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you for the opportunity given to me to be a part of your kingdom. I am your son and an heir of your kingdom. Fill me with joy and peace as I look forward to the glorious return of our Lord Jesus in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. Further Study: Ephesians 3:4-6, Romans 11:15-24.

Why Two Prophecies of Jesus Were Unfulfilled - 2.
"So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, THIS GENERATION SHALL NOT PASS, till all these things be fulfilled." (Matthew 24:33-34).
On an occasion when Jesus and his disciples left the temple, his disciples drew his attention of Jesus to the temple. And Jesus responded by predicting the destruction of the temple. This prompted the disciples to ask him three questions. The first was, when will the destruction take place. The second is the sign of his coming. The last is when will this present world (age) end.
Our Lord Jesus immediately began to foretell the events of the further in chronological order. Notable amongst the predictions are; wars and rumours of war, famine and earthquakes in divers places. Furthermore, he said false prophets and teachers will arise and they will be hated by all nations which will result in their persecutions.
In addition, he predicted that the abomination of desolation that Daniel spoke about will stand in the holy place. The abomination is the image of the anti Christ that the false Christ who they will accept as their Messiah will erect in the temple of God. And everyone on earth will be forced to worship that image.
The Jews because of their adherent to the Law of Moses which forbids the worship of any other gods will refuse to worship this image. This will result in their persecution. And they will pass through a great tribulation, a kind that has never happened in the history of the world.
At the end of the great tribulation period, Jesus will come back and the elect (144,000 Jews) will first be raptured. He will defeat the anti Christ and the false Christ who are revealed as the first and second beast respectively in Revelation, chapter 13.
The crux of the narration of this event was the prediction that the generation he was addressing with witness all these events. But that generation is gone and most of the events are yet to be fulfilled. This is because of the church age which was a mystery at that time. God, the Father hid this mystery even from his Son, Jesus at that time. This is why the prediction in Matthew, Chapter 24 didn't include the church. It's about the nation of Israel. The mystery was unveiled after the resurrection of Jesus.
But after the rapture of the church, the events will all be fulfilled. The anti Christ will come and reign in a revived and revised Roman Empire. It will be a confederalism of ten European Countries. And it will be the new world power. He will only reign for seven years. The last three and a half years will be the period of great tribulation. But at the end of the seven years, Jesus will come back, defeat them and establish his millennium reign on earth. The faithful saints will be given various responsibilities and leadership over nations. We will reign with Christ on earth for 1,000 years.
Prayer: Dear Father, I thank you for the great plans you have for us as unveiled in your word. A plan that will be consummated at the appearance of our Lord Jesus. I pray that I will be counted worthy to reign with Christ when he comes to establish his kingdom on earth in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Further Study: Daniel 9:27, Revelation 13:1-18; 19:11-21. the two scriptures have already been fulfilled. Matthew 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled So, they have all been fulfilled in that generation. Your parents and friends know you by your Physical Identity 2. Your Soul is You: Your soul is the one you identify as I, Me, Myself. The function of your soul is to express your Personal Identity. Your Will, Intellect and your Emotions reside in your soul.
You know yourself by your Personal Identity
3. Your Spirit is You: The function of your spirit is to interact with the spiritual world. You are a spirit therefore in God's image.
God and the rest of spiritual beings know you by your spirit.

DREAMHOMES6970: So many times I hear pastors in different churches tell their members to quit any job that would not give them time to attend church services, expecially Sunday service. I know it's very good for brethren to always come together to worship, but judging from how the economy is right now and how demanding most employers are who would want you to put in extra hours and some organization like restaurants and malls whom Sundays are one of their important days, I feel it will be difficult for some of the employees to attend weekly service and for some the compulsory Sunday service. And my question is should they quit their jobs as demanded by their pastors and devote their time to church since their job doesn't give them time for church programs. Because if that is the case, in so many of these mega churches in Nigeria, I see casual workers like the janitors and security men working on Sundays in the churches. And am like shouldn't this people also be in church listening to the word of God or is salvation segregated?
Please what's ur take? no pastor is demanding anyone to quit their job for church service. It is you that has the absolute right to decide whether you want to quit your job or not. If you decide to quit your job and the church is not doing anything about providing you with a job that will match the time they want from you, then you are on your own |

I think that the idea of Trinity does not necessarily mean that God exist as three. It connotes three separate era which are the era of the old testament where God was seen as the father, the era of the new testament where God was seen as the son in the person of Jesus Christ and the era of Christianity where God is seen as the holy spirit.
So when you hear Catholics, some Protestants and pentecostals mentioning Trinity i believe this is what they are trying to explain |

Christianity Etc › Re: If The Adam And Eve Story Is True, It Means That Every Science Is Lie. by paxonel(m): 9:00am On Dec 02, 2022 |
Workch: If the Genesis story is literally true, then evolution (and almost everything else about science) is wrong. Simple.
However, even the Catholic Pope doesn’t believe that the Adam & Eve story is literally true. http://www.newadvent.org/library/docs_jp02tc.htm
And we know that microwave ovens work, mobile phones work and satellite GPS works, so not everything about science is wrong.
That leaves you with interpreting the Adam & Eve story as an allegory (for something) or as a method that the people of that time used to convey religious and cultural values.
It doesn’t make sense on any level to me, but I accept that others find meaning there.
Assume that Adam and Eve were the first humans on Earth and that they were of the same race. Their continued offspring would have had to evolve into all the different ethnic people of the world and this is hard to fault because otherwise there would not be such a variety of humans around the world. That is, evolution would have had to take place for the changes to occur. If that part of evolution is accepted why not the whole of evolution from primitive life to successively more complex life? Adam was possibly a complex molecule, which had not yet triggered into life.
The Bible, Tora and Qur’an does not say this, however. God made Adam in his own image, a fully modern human being. These books are wrong.
You have to accept evolution in its entirety and not pick bits, which fit in the gaps in the story presented in the aforementioned books. then you are yet to understand that the Adam and Eve story may have occurred in the perspective of God's time which is not necessarily the human 24 hours per day 2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. Meaning, you can't use the human 24 hours format for God which may had applied to creationism hence evolution |

KunleOshob: Most people, including the pulpit-controlled flocks, believe that this concept is a well-defined and specifically mandated pre-condition required for salvation, which is found in scripture and must be achieved before death. They are correct on one point; it is well-defined, but definitely confused, in assuming that this must be accomplished before death in order to receive salvation. The orthodox view is quite simple. If you accept Jesus as your saviour, you are born again. Of course, you don't just disappear, but remain in your physical body and change after death, or when Jesus returns and raptures those fortunate enough to have made that choice. It is very difficult to imagine how a Christian can believe one can be born again in this life, just from the lack of logic in the phrase itself. How can one be reborn? The Bible also poses this perplexing question, and answers it, yet those promoting this concept ignore that answer completely. It takes no great effort to find exactly what "born again" means. The phrase only appears three times in scripture. A man, named Nicodemus, once asked the expert in this matter about this concept, and the transcript of that query can be found in John 3:3-8. This is how the event unfolded: ♦ Jesus said "I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." ♦ Nicodemus, obviously confused by his declaration, then asked "How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?" ♦ Jesus then answered "I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. ♦ And to reinforce the reality of his point, he then added "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit." Ok, that seems pretty simple. We all know the concept of spirit and the Bible is clear as to the meaning. The word spirit in the phrase "Spirit is spirit" is translated from the Greek word pneuma, pronounced pnyoo'-mah, meaning; a current of air, i.e. breath (blast) or a breeze. This certainly agrees with the widely accepted understanding of what spirit means. And, we can see that Jesus clearly describes the nature of "spirit" by using wind as an analogy. It should be noted that the word "tell" in the phrase "but canst not tell whence it cometh" comes from the word eido, pronounced i'-do and means; properly, to see (literally or figuratively). So, Jesus is saying the spirit is like the wind; it goes where it does and you can hear it, but you cannot see it. In the simplest of terms; the spirit is invisible. Nothing complicated about that. Jesus simply says that "every one that is born of the Spirit" is like the wind, which you can't see or, therefore, is invisible. Jesus first said that spirit is "not" like flesh, the prime physical component of the human body, which can be seen, and then clearly confirms that anyone, who is "born again" is not flesh, but spirit.
The above post is NOT my original writing but it makes a whole lot of sense, thought i should share it. Can anybody explain the part that says one must be born of water The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof Did Nicodemus hear spirits? |

saintokwuluora: My brother don't confuse yourself if you believe the prophecy of Daniel, then you must as well believe the prophecy of Jesus Christ who said the day the trumpet sounds both the living and the dead that are in him will be transformed into immortality to meet him in the air. you mean Jesus said that himself? What scripture? |

Jvas: Trumpet will sound eventually, though one should be much concern about when he/she will leave this world irrespective of trumpet or no trumpet there is nothing like trumpet, only death will occur. Therefore should be concern about his legacies and how he imparted to people's lives while he is alive, not when he or she will leave, because death can occur anytime |

Mercury12: What part of the Bible told you that? you already know that everyone that have ever died die at different date right? You don't need bible to tell you that one. Then, what happens after we die? Read 1 Corinthians 15:35 to the end of the chapter. Paul started by asking the question 1 Corinthians 15:35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? Read it to the end, then you will find out what body do the dead come back with after they are resurrected |

Look at the lies they have been telling people in church now. drizzymtbee: The prophecy didn't have any timeline who said so? In that case, you are equally saying that the old covenant didn't have a time limit? Please Christ is the end of the old covenant and all its prophets and their prophecies including that of Daniel. Even John the Baptist who never saw the kingdom was a greater prophet than all of them in the old covenant. Did you see what Jesus said in Matthew 24? Matthew 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. In order words, those disciples who listened to Jesus saying these things, their generation will not pass until all those things mentioned in Matthew 24 are fulfilled The trumpet will surely sound you people are mistaking 1 Thessalonians 4:16 to mean that Paul meant what Jesus said in Matthew 24. Please they are not the same thing o Paul in 1 thesalonian 4 meant resurrection of the dead, while Jesus in Matthew 24 meant signs of his coming which he came 2000 years ago. Please get the difference. Neither Paul or Jesus mentioned rapture. Infact, the word rapture is no where to be found in the bible ...nobody knew about the time Jesus would be born..even many of the jews didn't believe in him... exactly! That is exactly what Jesus meant to his disciples when he said Matthew 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. You know the Jews were expecting the Messiah to come and deliver them from the oppression of the Roman empire who conquerred them at the time? In their wildest imagination they never expected that, that same Messiah will come and be born as a baby. So, do we now begin to expect that this same thing will replicate and happen in our future in the form of one rapture that is never scriptural? Never! Because we have our lives to liive today |

castiello: I disagree with you you agree or you disagree does not change that truth i have said. It's like I'm telling that if you throw a stone upward it will come down under the influence of gravity. That truth does not depend on whether anyone believe it or not, your rapture is the day you die. Everyone have their own day, you have your own, me i have my own someday the earth as we know it will come to an end either mystically or Catastrophically, no! That's a big lie from the bottom of hell. Have it at the back of your mind that Ecclesiastes 1:4 One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: BUT THE EARTH ABIDED FOREVER There is no end to this earth we are living, so is the kingdom of God on this earth. if during our time scientist are witnessing the destruction of other planets in the cosmos it’s a matter of time the destruction of earth is eminent everything that has a beginning must have an end law of nature cosmc destruction of planets does not follow here. Let me remind you the position of the solar system in the milky way(the universe or galaxy where the earth is found). It is located at boarders and not at the centre around the black hole, so there is no possibility of any heat up apocalypsis of stars and planets around that region of the milky way. Only this knowledge alone is enough to fear God

Christianity Etc › How You See God Matters To Your Spiritual Life by paxonel(op): 6:41am On Nov 13, 2022 |
If you see God as one being living above the clouds where you consistently look up for, then you have lost it. But if you see God as a spirit living in you, then you have everything to gain.
Act 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being..
So, every throught in your mind, every decision you take from those your thoughts and every move you make, have huge or significant implications |

Hoodrat: Those that thought you December 25 was Christ birthday you are getting this whole concept of Christmas wrong. No one is saying that Jesus was born on the 25th of December, the fixed date of his birth celebration has been accepted by Christians world wide for the record and that is the most important thing to Christians, not necessarily the date 25th December are your oppressor, you never had a mind of your own to come to this conclusion! in short a learned habit has became your norm hence with facts and evidence presented you still can not let go of the burden of men.
⚒Baruch 4:6 Ye were sold to the nations, not for your destruction: but because ye moved God to wrath, ye were delivered unto the enemies. ⚒Baruch 4:7 For ye provoked him that made you by sacrificing unto devils, and not to God. like i have said before, non of these have any significance to Christians |
