The soccer this summer (June - July) is too much sha!
There would be: - UEFA Nations League final 4 - AFCON 2019 - FIFA Women’s World Cup - Gold Cup - Copa America - FIFA U-20 World Cup (which starts in the middle of May).
Funny enough, the finals of the women’s World Cup, Copa America, and the Gold Cup all take place on the same day! |

If I were Trump (or a member of his inner circle), I wouldn’t start popping champagne yet. Yes, the same DOJ rule which says a president can’t be indicted, also applies to the SDNY. But legally speaking, the same rule doesn’t apply to the NY Attorney-General’s office. She could, in theory, issue an indictment against the sitting president, and his close associates. |

Xander85: This should be the tallest building east of the Niger! Point-Block in Port Harcourt is 17 stories....i know cos i counted it!
With the funds Akwa-Ibom have, they should not only have three or four of these highrise buildings, but have a functional INT’l AIRPORT as well! Oil coys and other multinational corporations would have to be really committed to transfer their headquarters or other administrative operations to Uyo if there’s no direct access to the outside world! Last I heard, the international terminal at the Uyo airport is under construction (since the time of Akpabio). However, it is up to the airlines to develop routes between Uyo and international destinations. Uyo can have 2 or 3 international terminals, but their dream of connecting directly with foreign countries lies with the airlines (and the FG). |

PurestBoy: Which airline is usingthat plane in Nigeria and do they compensate Nigerian victims too? I'll love to book someone to Abuja So far, both Air Peace and Arik have ordered the 737 Max. But I expect them to cancel those orders, until Boeing fixes the flaws in the aircraft. Nigerian (and other victims) of air crashes are entitled to compensation too. The monetary compensation differed from international flights and domestic flights. |

Ibime: Ben Bruce stepped down his Bayelsa-East Senate seat based on zoning arrangement in his constituency. And the guy he stepped down for lost the seat to APC.
That means Goodluck Jonathan of Otuoke in Ogbia in Bayelsa East is now represented in the Senate by an APC senator.
How do you go from winning Presidential election in 2011 to not delivering your Senatorial district in 2019.
Timipre Sylva is a bastard with PHD in rigging I’ve never seen a faster fall from Grace to grass! The other close contender would be Saraki’s unexpected loss. Saraki has now gone from formidable godfather of Kwara to a political non-entity |

theoldpretender: It could work...
But as I said...a lot of people will fight any attempt to regulate the number of parties by law. National Assembly will be targeted with restraining orders from various parties not to even discuss the matter.
Honestly, when we were making that 1999 constitution, someone forgot to put in an amendment that would have limited the number of parties. That made it easy for clever lawyers like late Gani to exploit that loophole at the Supreme Court and force INEC to register everyone. Well, those restraining orders would have no effect if the law is right in the constitution; and not in the Electoral Act. |
