She’s 11 years older than the kid?? |
She’s kneeling down because her husband probably paid for the PhD, and she is most likely a housewife. For me, aside from our traditional wedding, I wouldn’t want my wife to kneel down before me. |

How much per meatpie? I want some them shipped to me! The look so tasty! |
National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has launched an unmanned aerial vehicle which was locally developed by the agency to boost agricultural production in Nigeria. Prof. Mohammed Sani Haruna, Executive Vice Chairman of NASENI, who disclosed this at the venue of the launch in Abuja, also displayed an e-voting machine that would assist the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct free and fair elections in Nigeria. He said the agency’s solar-powered electronic voting solution with cloud-based (computing) collation of election results is the solution to Nigeria’s electoral challenges. According to him, “The electronic voting solution developed by NASENI is the solution to the nation’s election issues. “It was specifically developed to address almost all the issues and challenges that bedevil election processes in Nigeria. It would be appropriate and beneficial for Nigeria to accept and adopt this indigenous solution for increasing the credibility of election processes.” He explained that the existing Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Permanent Voters Card (PVC) has been adopted for use in the new e-voting equipment. He noted with satisfaction that the e-voting machine could print out Permanent Voters Card (PVC) within five minutes after registration. The Executive Vice Chairman of NASENI further pointed out that the machine, which relies on a robust hardware and software, also guarantees national, state, and local government elections are conducted on the same day and at the same time. Other special features which the NASENI electronic voting solution provides, according to him, include the fact that it minimizes human interference to the election process, eliminates the use of ballot boxes, discards the use of paper ballot as well as eliminate multiple voting, among others. Haruna noted that the agency had over the years developed capacities that would take the country to the greater heights as well as reduce poverty, hunger and misery in the country. He explained that through the deployment of engineering innovations, technologies, researches and other scientific breakthroughs and results, the country would become great among the comity of nations. https://www.today.ng/news/nigeria/95798/naseni-launches-unmanned-aerial-vehicle-voting-machine |

Icon79:That means the match will be a delayed broadcast in the US, because the actual kick off time is 3:45pm EST. |
Nigeria’s hospital system is in absolute shambles. Everyone of the hospital staff whose negligence, was a proximate cause of the patient’s death, would have been sued or prosecuted if it happened in a more civilized clime. Moreover, the fact that a hospital lacks oxygen warrants sober reflection on the so-called “learned” people who run the facility. |
The board should buy Ndidi and loan out Bakayoko. A midfield of Ndidi—Kante—Drinkwater will be nearly impregnable. |
Nothing stunning there |
raumdeuter:The record for a 38-match season is 31 goals, achieved by Shearer, Ronaldo and Luis Suarez. Salah needs 4 more goals to break the record. But Drogba’s tally of 29 goals in the 09-10 season, remains the record for an African in a single EPL season. |
FIFA has lifted its three-decade ban on Iraq hosting international football, a move hailed by the country’s sports authorities on Saturday as a boost for its most popular game. “We are allowing international matches to be staged in the cities of Arbil, Basra and Karbala,” FIFA president Gianni Infantino told reporters after a meeting of the FIFA Council in Bogota. The three cities had been allowed to organise friendlies in the past year provided the security situation was “stable”. Iraq will host Qatar and Syria for a friendly tournament starting on March 21 in Basra. FIFA said it could not “yet” agree to a request from the Iraqi authorities to organise matches in the capital Baghdad, but Infantino promised that the city’s application would continue to be studied. The three cities selected are among the more secure in Iraq. Basra and Karbala both lie south of Baghdad, far from the battlefields north and west of the capital where the security forces fought the Islamic State group from 2014 to 2017. Arbil is the capital of the country’s autonomous Kurdish region. The Iraq Football Association welcomed FIFA’s decision but vowed to “spare no effort for games to be played in stadiums in other provinces, including Baghdad”. “This decision puts our sport back on the rails,” it said. Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, who declared victory over IS in December, said the lifting of the FIFA ban was the “fruit of stability in terms of security and of the successes achieved by Iraq.” For years, Iraq has been busily building stadiums and lobbying stars and the sport’s governing bodies for a return to the international fold. Friday’s decision followed an international friendly between Iraq and Saudi Arabia in Basra on February 28, their first on Iraqi soil in 40 years. It was watched by Asian Football Confederation (AFC) head Salman bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa who said “the time has come” to end the three-decade ban. The first home competitive games could come as early as next month as two Iraqi clubs have fixtures in the AFC Cup which were postponed pending FIFA’s decision. https://guardian.ng/sport/fifa-lifts-three-decade-ban-on-iraq-hosting-international-matches/ |
Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Saleh Dunoma, yesterday disclosed that the $500 million new airport terminals in Lagos and Abuja would be completed and ready for use by July this year. He further stated that the Ministry of Aviation and Federal Capital Territory are working on integration of the Abuja light rail project with the terminal when completed. Dunoma stated this at an interactive session with journalists at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos. T hrice, FAAN had promised to deliver the project for use, thrice the promise had gone unfulfilled because of circumstances surrounding the project, which range from citing the facility in Abuja airport wrongly, blocking the control tower and other structural defects that are been rectified. While addressing stakeholders in Lagos last year, the Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika, condemned the new terminals under construction and said that the ones in Abuja and Lagos were wrongly located because they blocked control tower and the fire service. He, however, assured that the present administration would concession the major airports so that the reasonability of funding and managing them would be taken over from government. According to him, the airports have had some delays in their deliveries, but that was due to some factors among which were the rise in exchange rate. In 2013, China offered $500 million loan to Nigeria for the building of four airport terminals in Kano, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Lagos in addition to the building of international terminal for Enugu airport. https://newtelegraphonline.com/2018/03/500m-new-lagos-abuja-terminals-ready-july-faan/ |
FIFA has finally approved the use of VAR for the World Cup. There will be four officials who would work exclusively as VARs during the tournament - the main VAR, and three assistant VARs. Is this good or not so good Development? |
yemi15:I don’t think that accurate. Once you are above 28, you don’t need to do the NYSC thing, and don’t need to show proof of youth service before applying for a job. |
Icon79:Yup I'll do the same swap if the team, say, needs to be more offensive in order to get a goal. |
MetalJigsaw:Etebo won't be a deep-lying DM. His strength is in chasing around opposition midfielders, winning the ball, and driving forward. Ndidi can be the deep-lying DM who would snuff out threats on time. Etebo's playing style is similar to that of Michael Essien: they are both high energy players who cover every blade of grass. And that quality would be needed to disrupt the intricate passing patterns of the Argentine and Croatian midfields. |
I’m predicting Man City, Juventus, Barcelona, and Bayern to advance to the semifinals. Then, it will be a Juve v Man City final, with Juventus winning the trophy. Buffon will, at last, retire from the game with a UCL winners’ medal. |
tbaba1234:I’ll only replace Mikel with Joel Obi, in the last group game, if the team has already secured qualification to the round of 16. And if the team is chasing a goal, I would bring in Ighalo, and take off Ndidi, switching to a 3-4-3. |
Guys, will this line up and formation work for the SE in Russia? ———-Balogun——Ekong——-Awaziem——- —-Ebuehi——--Etebo——Ndidi—-—Idowu—— —————————Mikel——————- ————Victor Moses————-Iheanacho——- |
AIG07:Yes He was monitoring Messi |
When the Super Eagles come up against Messi and Argentina at the World Cup, a 3-5-2 formation would be suitable for nullifying the Argies. My line up will be as follows: ———————Uzoho——————— ———Ekong—-Balogun—-Awaziem——- —-Ebuehi—-Etebo—Mikel—Ndidi—-Idowu—- ———————-V.Moses—-Iheanacho——- Because Messi plays in between the opposing midfield and defense lines, the likes of Etebo and Ndidi would be the guys to track his runs. Ebuehi or Idowu should shackle Di Maria, and the SE will avoid defeat. |
Ibime:Yea, teams always have to look out for Messi in such situations. But I was more or less referring to how both Giroud and Morata occupied Pique and Umtiti. In the first leg, the duo were barely troubled due to the absence of a proper striker for Chelsea. But in the 2nd leg, they had to make block after block. |
lordfalcao:Lol Watch the highlights again |
I wonder whether Conte could have been more adventurous in the first leg. Because this Barca team are not better than Man City, let alone Juventus. The ultra-defensive game in the first leg may have cost us, in the long run. |
Watching the highlights now, I think Kante is at fault for the second goal. He could have tracked Dembele instead of following Messi, who was already being marked. |
Courtois is not to returning to London! BTW Congrats to Messi for reaching 100 UCL goals |
Next season, Caballero should be promoted to the starting spot, and Courtois rooted to the bench. |
Well, it was fun while it lasted. Looking forward to the Europa League next season. |
Chelsea already has more possession (36%) than they had in the entire first leg (32%). |
Coutois ![]() |
Best of luck to Victor Moses and Chelsea this afternoon |
